Ring of Honor Preparing Return Confirmed! New Location? & MORE!
(Monday, May 4th, 2020)
- It can now be officially announced that Ring of Honor will be returning to run empty arena shows starting this Friday! Multiple Zoom meetings were held over the past few weeks where RoH officials and the companies respective locker room leaders all weighed out the pros and cons of a potential return from hiatus amid the COVID-19 pandemic, with a decision being made to start airing live television once again from their Toronto location. At this point, the shows will continue to feature only Canadian talent with travel restrictions not allowing any of the RoH roster members outside of Canada to enter the country.
- There have been rumours of RoH trying to secure an alternate location to allow the US talent to appear on the broadcast as well, and we can confirm that some sort of announcement is expected to be made during this week's episode of RoH TV. The leading candidate to host filming for the US talent is Seth Rollins' Black & Brave Accademy in Chicago.
- We can confirm the following talents will not be seen on RoH TV over the next few weeks: KENTA, The Bullet Club and Lance Archer were all still in Japan when the travel restrictions were originally put in place, meaning these men have not and will not be able to leave Japan for the time being. It was reported that Archer was supposed to be on the same flight to Toronto as Kenny Omega, but Archer needed to miss the flight due to a family emergency and was unable to reschedule before the restrictions came in to effect.

With just two weeks (or so) to go before CWF Battle of the Belts, Bobby Heenan has signed four contracts over the last 24 hours to complete the card!
After what occurred last night, there is only one way to settle the score between Marco Corleone and Sean O'Haire while insuring that none of their friends interfere... and that's by putting them in a steel cage!
Also, the Nasty Boys will battle Sonny Siaki and a partner of his choice, to be revealed before the bell rings!
In what should be a very high-flying, technical showdown, Richie Steamboat squares off against Blitzkrieg!
Finally, CWF Southern Heavyweight champion Brian Pillman will take on Buddy Murphy in a non-title bout... during the pre-show.
All of these, in addition to the second steel cage showdown of the night, pitting Jack Brisco against Kevin Sullivan; David Von Erich vs. Kerry Von Erich in a Texas bullrope match; and a TLC match for the CWF Florida Tag-Team titles, featuring the Freebirds (c) vs. the Upperclassmen vs. Larry Cameron and Uhaa Nation... the main event will see the CWF Florida Heavyweight champion Rick Rude defend his title against Razor Ramon!

GWA News!!!!!
- Endgame 2 marked the end of Season 2 of the GWA and they will be taking a month break before Season 3 starts on Wednesday, June 10th. Expect some Offseason promos from Superstars and some announcements of new acquired Superstars going into Season 3.
- Also announced is that GWA AfterShock will take place on June 21st. That is 2 weeks after the start of Season 3 as Shane McMahon feels that with Aftershock most likely having.
- Allot of fans are wondering if Jon Moxley has really left the GWA. GWA and Moxley are both staying quiet on the situation but most believe that he in fact finished with the GWA due to creative differences going forward with him in the main event scene. There are rumors that Moxley was meant to dethrone CM Punk for the GWA Championship before they went with the Rock. Things seem to be good between Moxley and GWA officials but he very well may be done with the company.
- Its also been noted that Absolution might be on their way out of the GWA also. Paige was the first GWA Woman's Champion but has expressed her interest to go elsewhere and take Mandy Rose and Sonya Deville with her. There are apparently no bad blood between Paige and Management but she feels she has done all she can in GWA and wants to spread her wings elsewhere.
- Shane McMahon is set to make a couple of moves during the offseason. GWA is known to shake things up during the offseason and mid season of the GWA. McMahon is adamant that the roster that begins this season won't be much different than what ends it this year so he wants to get all of the big moves out of the way before the season starts. Expect some announcements on new acquired superstars throughout the next few weeks.

As a result of their attack on Razor Ramon, CWF Owner and President Bobby Heenan fined Bob Orton and Don Muraco $100 each. Upon hearing this, Florida Heavyweight champion Rick Rude stepped up and paid the fine himself.

24 hours removed from Battle of the Belts, CWF Owner Bobby Heenan has given the roster a couple of weeks off to recover and relax, a reward of sorts for the tremendous success of CWF's first pay-per-view of the year.
However, that doesn't mean that he was happy with everything that occurred, and going into the MUW Untouchables dispersal draft, he will be announcing some roster changes.

Reason for Ring of Honor Missing TV Last Week, New Titles? SuperCard Coming Soon? & MORE (Monday, May 25th, 2020)
- Ring of Honor did not air in it's usual Friday timeslot on TSN/ESPN last week and without any news from the promotion on why, there was some concern amongst fans that the promotion may have been in some financial trouble. We can confirm that that is not the case, and the reason for RoH Wrestling not being on tv last week was due to a misscommunication from the Network regarding a timeslot mix up. ESPN has been airing Korean Baseball games for it's North American viewers to enjoy while all major sports are still on hiatus due to covid-19. ESPN has the usual Friday night slot that belong to RoH booked for a Korean Baseball game, but the network executive who works closely with RoH forgot to inform the company of this news until a few hours before they were to go on the air. Not having much time to reschule the television broadcast for another slot, it was decided that RoH would simply not have a show last week and are planning to return to television this Friday with what was booked for last week. At this time, it appears RoH may also be looking to get out of their TSN/ESPN deal as this has soured relationships between RoH and the Network.
- With Ring of Honor looking to return to normal under these abnormal circumstances, there appears to be plans to announce the next SuperCard event which looks to be scheduled for some time in late June, early July. There is no word yet on how the company will pull off a live SuperCard show with talent working out of 2 different locations at the moment, but it is rumoured that this will be addressed on RoH TV in the upcomming weeks. Once source says the official announcement could be as early as this Friday.
- Speaking of RoH TV, the format for their weekly shows moving forward has been revealed. Each show will now take place in 2 seperate locations with RoH TV's first half of the show taking place from Toronto and hosted by Mauro Ranallo and Christian, while the later half will take broadcast live from Black x Brave Wrestling Academy in Chicago and be hosted by the newly formed US broadcast team of Tony Schiavone and Taz. Though the order of which location holds which half of the show may change on a weekly basis, the format is expected to remain the same until the boarder opens up to allow the company to house all it's talent in a single location.
- There are rumours that KENTA and Bullet Club are looking to work a deal with RoH that allows them to work some Japanese dates in the near future while they await travel bans to be lifted. With the superstars stuck in Japan and most RoH talent contarcts being pay-per-appearance, these men are currently not making any money and are hoping RoH can reach a deal with a Japanese promotion in order to help them out.
- A meeting was held late last week to discuss the possibility of introducing a new title to the US broadcast as well as potential Interim Tag Team Championships for both the US and Canadian broadcasts as the current Champions Michael Elgin and Jay Lethal are currently stuck on opposite sides of the boarder. Though the Television title is currently in Canada with Kevin Owens, it's weekly defense rule has been suspended as there is not enough Canadian talent for KO to now have to put on the same matches on a weekly basis. The rumour is that a new Championship similar to the Televsion Championship could be revealed in the near future along with interim Tag Titles which would set up some very entertaining Unification bouts with the current champions once things begin to return to normal.

AEW Post-PPV News and Rumors May 27, 2020
WARNING - Spoilers Below! If you have not yet ordered the replay of AEW Unity, please CLICK HERE!
- Early numbers indicate that the Unity pay-per-view did very well. All proceeds from purchases will be donated to the COVID-19 Solidarity Response Fund.
- As seen on the show, Randy Orton made a shocking debut by attacking Triple H just moments after The Game defeated “Switchblade” Jay White. It is believed that this attack by Orton will eventually lead to a match against Triple H, possibly at the next show AEW announces.
- The Pope’s nine month long National Title reign came to an end at Unity when Darby Allin defeated him after a grueling back and forth contest. There has been talks of The Pope being repackaged or possibly turning babyface in the future after his impressive title run.
- The apparent direction AEW is taking with Tessa Blanchard is a “mystery attacker” angle. As seen on Unity, Tessa was unable to defend her title against Ruby Riott. An anonymous female voice was heard in the arena saying that Tessa would be unable to compete. At this time, we have no word on who this person may be, although many are speculating that Ronda Rousey will finally be getting her big chance at AEW stardom.
- Tony Khan is said to have been “elated” at the tag team match featuring GoD against Mustache Mountain. Khan felt that these two teams, despite never facing each other, had incredible chemistry with each other. Expect to see more matches featuring GoD and MM in the future.
- Perhaps the most shocking news of the night came at the end of the show when PAC made his AEW debut. We have recently learned that AEW World Champion Daniel Bryan provided a shortlist of competitors Bryan would like to defend the title against, and PAC was at the top of that list. This match will now become a reality, most likely at the next AEW event to be determined.

After hearing that a renegade promotion was preparing to run in northern Florida, the former home of Gulf Coast Championship Wrestling, CWF Owner Bobby Heenan responded in drastic fashion to protect his territory. Buoyed by the massive financial success of Battle of the Belts, Heenan persuaded over a dozen wrestlers to give notice to that promoter, effectively ending a turf war before it even started. Expect an influx of talent to Championship Wrestling from Florida in the coming weeks.
