RESULTS 6
The show begins backstage, where we see TWE Heavyweight champion Adam Cross standing with his belt over his shoulder. Cross says he never doubted for a minute he was going to walk away from the fatal four-way with the belt, but now it's time to prove he's a fighting champion. He says tonight, he faces a self-proclaimed "tough guy" in Tonga Ali, but he says tough ain't everything, and in that ring, he's got all the answers for anybody questioning whether he's the best wrestler in TWE. He says he's the man who has put TWE on the map, and tonight, he shows why he's the center of the whole damn place! He says tonight, the unstoppable force meets the INCREDIBLE object, and Adam Cross is walking away with his belt in hand, ready to take on all comers!
"Heartless" Dave Harris vs. Dirk Cassidy
Dave Harris is a cold blooded individual in that ring, and he doesn't care what anybody thinks about him. Dirk Cassidy tried to play to the crowd and showed Harris little respect. Harris tried to humble Cassidy, punishing him throughout with his brawling, high impact style, but Cassidy showed flashes of his own, and nearly got the win with a Rocker Dropper at the six minute mark. Cassidy would attempt to deliver his Whiplash (Cravat Russian Legsweep) finisher, but Harris shoved him off and caught him with the Heart Stopper (Double Knee Chestbreaker) in quick fashion, knocking the air out of Cassidy and putting him down for the three. "Heartless" Dave ripped his hand away from the referee and marched to the back, not wasting any time celebrating and showing the fans no love.
Ryan "The Lion" Davidson vs. "Dangerous" Davey Anderson vs. Nick "Thunder" Reiner
Really intense, hard hitting three way here between three guys not afraid to put their bodies on the line. Davidson took more of the flying risks, diving to the outside a few times to various degrees of success. Anderson was able to rack up some near falls with his high impact offense, nearly putting Davidson down with the Kudo Driver, but "Thunder" broke it up with a Senton Bomb! Reiner scooped up Anderson and delivered his Tombstone Piledriver to Anderson right onto "The Lion's" chest before shoving Anderson out of the ring and pinning Davidson himself for the three count victory! Very impressive work from these three, but Davidson sure took some punishment in what must feel like a let down after having had the opportunity to win the Heavyweight title at the last show. It now seems Reiner is poising himself for a shot at the gold.
Backstage, we see Tonga Ali. Ali says he has no use for a big ego or a loud mouth. He says Adam Cross tries to come off as an "everyman" and tries to whoo the crowds with his abilities. Ali says all that flashiness is just a waste of time, and it's going to cost him his title tonight. He says tonight, Cross' reign will be short lived as the reign of Tonga begins.
"The Heretic" Ryu Merrick vs. "Elite" Ethan Elliot
"The Heretic" is one of the most unorthodox competitors in TWE, and he was looking for some redemption and to make a statement after taking the fall in the Heavyweight title match on the last show. Elliot is a very cocky competitor, but he's got some moves to back it up, like a great looking Spiral Brainbuster that nearly got him the win. Merrick was able to escape a Fireman's Carry from "Elite" and deliver an Overhead Kick, followed by a Springboard Enzuigiri to build momentum. Merrick was able to drill Elliot with The Iconoclast (Cross Leg Scoop Driver) to get the pinfall victory here as the fans cheered him on. Merrick slithered out of the ring, looking sinister as he made his way to the back, looking like a formidable challenger for the future.
"The Apex" Aaron James vs. "Anarchist" Cameron Priest vs. Jami Blain
This was a more nuanced three way, as James and Priest both tried to pick their spots and get the advantage. Jami Blain doesn't seem to know the meaning of the word "reservation" and tried to bring the fight full bore all match. In the end, it would cost Blain, as Blain would get a little too amped and tried for a Springboard Tornado DDT, only to get caught with a Northern Lights Suplex into the buckles by James! Priest would capitalize, hitting a Springboard Clothesline, and thought he might have the match in hand. Priest would call for the end and went looking for the Pure Anarchy (Front Flip Piledriver), but James dropped to a knee and caught him with a low blow! "The Apex" followed up with the Hurricane Driver (Belly to Back Suplex into Piledriver), getting an equal amount of cheers and boos as he pinned Priest for the win before Blain could break up the cover!
Backstage, we see "The Eraser" Kevin Ultra looking calm and menacing. Ultra says Adam Cross never beat him for the championship, yet he walks around like he's God's gift to wrestling. He says he's tired of Adam Cross being shoved down everybody's fucking throats, and he's ready to do something about it! He says he is the man who will change this business, and he will ERASE the glass ceiling, ERASE the tropes, the stereotypes, everything everybody thinks they know, is OBSOLETE. He says TWE isn't big enough, he wants the Universe to take notice. He wants something bigger, and while Cross might have the belt and might be getting the WWE bookings and might be "the FACE" of TWE according to many, that FACE will be ERASED by Kevin Ultra, and it'll be Kevin Ultra who stands as the revolutionary of the sport. Adam Cross might be the champion this company wants, but Kevin Ultra is the champion this business deserves, and he will take his place, one way or another...
Darren Gray vs. Chase Kelley
Both men here are very good chain wrestlers, taking a lot of inspiration from the British catch-style, so this was a fun, quick match full of reversals and near falls. Kelley would try to get the fans behind him, but it seemed like wasted energy, as the more devious Gray would look for openings and expose him, eventually going counter for counter with Kelley before catching him with a high knee, followed by the Killswitch (Inverted Double Underhook Facebuster) to get the three count. Gray would retrieved his hat and cane, bowing for the crowd as they react to this intriguing figure who seems to be gearing up for a title match very soon.
Nate Fatal vs. "The Pitbull" Dory Fletcher
Nate Fatal feels very slighted that he never received his shot at the TWE Heavyweight championship, and he made it clear through his remarks and actions throughout the match, yelling "I'M THE SHOW!" and trying to big league Fletcher. Fletcher is a very violent opponent, however, and didn't take kindly to this at all, lighting up Fatal with kicks, chops, and elbows throughout, and getting a near fall with a Regal Plex that came within fractions of a second of ending this match. Fletcher would work the arm and looked for his Kimura multiple times, but Fatal would show his poise, making it to the ropes or reversing multiple times. Fletcher would go on a violent rampage, pummeling Fatal with kicks to the chest and an open palm strike to the face before trying a Spinning Roundhouse Kick, but Fatal would duck it and jump up, catching "The Pitbull" with his Fatal Attraction (Leaping Cutter), sitting on his chest and hooking his leg arrogantly, though exhausted, as the referee counted three. Fatal would yell out, "IT'S JUST THAT EASY! HASHTAG #REALCHAMP!" as he left, having his hand raised for a moment before ripping it away and taunting the crowd, gloating, though he took a pretty good beating.
TWE CRUISERWEIGHT TITLE
Cain Windsor (c) vs. Hexagram
Hexagram turned a lot of heads winning a three way match on the last show with his brutal Death Brand finisher, but tonight he was facing the Cruiserweight phenom that is British star Cain Windsor. Windsor is an amazing athlete with second to none cardio to his credit, but Hexagram is a product of lucha libre and would try to push the pace with the champion. Hexagram has a dark edge and once he realized playing the champ's game might not be the best idea, tried to pick him apart on the mat with some brutal ground and pound fists and knees. Windsor would manage to reverse the Death Brand (Suplex into Inverted Piledriver) with a Huracanrana in mid-air, followed by a Handspring Enzuigiri off the ropes to tale Hexagram down! Windsor would head up top, thinking about maybe hitting the Twist of Cain (Corkscrew Shooting Star Press), but Hexagram would show his toughness, rising up and climbing the buckles, battling with Cain up top! Hexagram would land a headbutt, but Cain would catch him with a back elbow that sent him flying from the buckles! Cain would proceed to deliver a great looking 450 Splash from the middle turnbuckle, smashing Hexagram into the mat and keeping him down for the three to retain his title!
Cain would get on the mic afterwards and say that he wants the coward Vincent Void in his next title defense!
TWE HEAVYWEIGHT TITLE
"The Incredible" Adam Cross (c) vs. Tonga Ali
Ali would bulldoze into Cross from the opening bell and really tried to wear the champion down with his relentless, punishing brawling style. Ali would pound Cross around the ring floor for a couple of minutes before Cross would manage to dodge a Lariat and hit a Pele Kick to turn the tides! Cross would run and smash into Ali with a shoulder block that sent him flipping over the railing, getting the fans pumped! "The Incredible One" would then run again, taking flight and clearing the railing to smash into Ali with an inside elbow, wiping out a row of chairs in the process! Cross would grab Ali and deliver a Lariat of his own, sending Ali back over the railing just as badly as he sent over, showing his heavy hitting ability here. Back on the other side of the railing, Ali would chop Cross to the throat and toss him into the turnpost, getting his momentum back. Ali would grab a chair and sit Cross in it, chopping and punching the champion before running and smashing him with a Hip Attack that crushed Cross's abdomen in a bad way! Back in the ring, Ali would deliver a Running Back Senton and attempted the cover, but just a two count! Ali would call for the end, looking for the Fisherman's Buster, but Cross would land a knee to break himself out, before hitting an EXTRA LARGE REVERSE HURACANRANA that looked NASTY! Ali would show his toughness, kicking out, but Cross stayed on the attack, walloping him with elbows from the mounted position. Cross would head to the apron and taunt before trying a Springboard Elbow, but Ali caught him in mid-air with a Powerslam, but only a two count! Ali would pick up Cross, looking for a Powerbomb, but Cross flipped over it and utilized a Sunset Flip, crossing Ali's arms and then DEADLIFTING THE 300 LBS. TONGAN UP, SPINNING AND DRILLING HIM WITH THE CROSSFIRE (CROSS-ARM SIT-OUT POWERBOMB), holding the challenger down for the three!
After the match, Cross went to celebrate when KEVIN ULTRA came out of the crowd and stole his title belt from the title keeper! Ultra made his escape through the crowd as Cross gave chase, and the show came to an end!
