NWA TV Episode 1-27-2018 on Spike TV (2 hour episode)
This week's episode of the NWA joins the announcing team of Les Thatcher, Joey Styles & Jesse 'the Body' Ventura and interview Eden Stiles. They run down some of the talent in action on today's show.
We go to the ring with ring announcer Mike McGuirk
First Match. Bill Dundee won by disq. over 'Hot Stuff' Eddie Gilbert. (6:42). Gilbert accidentally low-blowed Dundee.
Commercial break with interview with Ted Dibiase
Second Match. Ladies Single Match. Kairi Hojo debuts & defeats Kat Green following a high spin kick to the head. (6:05).
Commercial break with interview with manager James E. Cornette & the Midnight Express on not getting title matches.
Third Match. Single Match. 'Handsome' Harley Race was upset by Lex Luger w/mgr. JJ Dillon.(8:03). Race was pushed off the second turnbuckle by Dillon while executing a diving head butt on the prone Luger. Lex made the cover for the 1-2-3 count. Following the match, a furious Harley wanted Lex one more time!
Commercial break with interview Prof. Dale Lewis who has increased his purse to $10,000 to any man who can pin him or make him submit in under 10 minutes.
Fourth Match. 6 Man Tag Team Match. Triple Threat (Chris Benoit, Dean Malenko & Shane Douglas) w/valet Sunny beat Curt Hennig, World's Junior Heavyweight Chamion Danny Hodge & Terry Taylor. (9:46). Hodge & Benoit were the legal men in the ring when Malenko kneed Hodge in the back allowing Chris to get the pin. Meanwhile, Hennig was putting the boots to Douglas outside of the ring.
Commercial break interview with Rock n Roll Express talking about US Tag Team Champions the Fabulous Ones
Fifth Match. SIngle Match. CM Punk hit the Go To Sleep on Buddy Landell for the win. (7:13).
Commercial break with interview with NWA United States Women's Champion MsChif talking about World's Champion Kana.
Second Hour
Second hour opens up with manager James J. Dillon issuing a challenge to NWA World's Heavyweight Champion 'Stone Cold' Steve Austin to face the real NWA World's Heavyweight Champion 'Nature Boy' Ric Flair.
First Match. Single Match. An angry NWA World's Heavyweight Champion 'Stone Cold' Steve Austin defeated Ric Bognar with the Stone Cold Stunner in a quick beatdown . (1:33). Following the match, Austin goes to the desk to tell the announcers that he beat Flair once for the title & he will beat him a second time and beat him real badly this time.
Commercial break with interview with Curt Henning on the Triple Threat
Second Match. 4 Man Tag Team Match. NWA World's Team Champions Gene & Ole Anderson w/mgr. James J. Dillon beat Bob Roop & Billy Robinson. (7:56). Ole submitted Bob with a high up hammerlock.
Commercial break with United States Tag Team Champions the Fabulous Ones w/mgr. Woman talking about the Rock n Roll Express
Third Match. Non-Title Single Match. Nikita Koloff won by count out over United States Heavyweight Champion 'Original Nature Boy' Buddy Rogers w/mgr. Bobby Davis. (8:00). Koloff clotheslined Rogers who jumped over the top rope onto Davis.
Commercial break with interview with 'Cowboy' Bill Watts talking about 'Playboy' Gary Hart
Fourth Match. Single Match. ''Ravishing' Ric Rude w/Woman beat Jake 'the Snake' Roberts with the Rude Awakening'. (8:51). Roberts DDT'd Rude but Woman got him out of the ring then distracted the referee while Rude came back to nail Roberts.
Commercial break with interview with Nature Boy' Ric Flair w/mgr. James J. Dillon on Steve Austin running from him
Fifth Match. Single Match. Johnny Valentine went to double disqualification with 'Dirty' Dick Murdoch in what ended up as a wild brawl as time expires on this week's show. (5:51).
