This week’s show starts with Dario Cueto exiting his office and entering the ring to proclaim that Alberto El Patron and his cronies in the Latino World Order have been booted out of his office and that he has taken back control of his Temple. This receives a huge ovation from the Believers. Then, he announces that many of the Believers’ favourite luchadores, those who have received poor treatment from El Patron, are back and will be in action starting tonight!
The Patriot comes out, waving the Stars & Stripes. He congratulates Cueto for getting rid of the undesirables known as the LWO, but tells him that it is a big mistake to invite other Mexicans into the Temple as all that does is replace one criminal gang with another, and the United States of America is no place for those kinds of people. Cueto doesn’t care much for him coming into his Temple and making racist comments about the very luchadores that are the stars of his Temple. The Patriot says that luchadores aren’t a part of the great American tradition of professional wrestling and so luchadores have no place in this country. Cueto tells The Patriot he has no place in his Temple.
The Patriot begs to differ and threatens to take the Temple from Cueto by force, if necessary. Cueto warns him not to do anything to him or else his brother will destroy him. The Patriot says that his flag gives him the power to do whatever he wants in the name of the United States of America! Cueto says that if he is so sure of himself then tonight, he can step into the ring against his brother, Matanza Cueto, and if he wins, he gets the Lucha Underground Championship as well as The Temple and everything else that belongs in it!

Eric Young, Nikki Cross & Alexander Wolfe defeated Baron Corbin, Cesaro & PJ Black by pinfall in a highly competitive match that saw both teams go back-and-forth until Cesaro attempted a diving European uppercut on Wolfe, who moved out of the way, causing Cesaro to take Corbin down with the move. Corbin reacted by running over Cesaro with a running big boot and then throwing him out of the ring. After that, he was clotheslined from the ring by Wolfe, leaving Black the subject of a quick triple team attack ending with Cross giving him a swinging fisherman’s neckbreaker followed by Young landing a diving elbow drop and pinning him for the win. After the match, Corbin gave Cesaro the Deep Six on the floor and then spat on him before leaving.

Prince Puma defeated Bad News Brown by pinfall in a highly physical contest. Brown took control of the match when it went out to the floor and he could brawl with Puma. Brown’s most devastating maneuver was an exploder suplex that sent Puma’s back crashing into the retaining wall of one of the high-rise bleachers. Unfortunately for him, he couldn’t keep Puma on the mat, as the prodigy from Boyle Heights mounted a comeback that culminated with him executing a diving 630-degree senton bomb to earn the victory.

Hollywood A-Lister and holder of the Gift of the Gods, The Miz, enters Dario Cueto’s office, accompanied by his manager “Classy” Freddie Blassie. They have come to welcome Cueto back to the Temple, making a point to tell him that the Temple had become a shithole without him at the helm. Cueto thanks them for the compliments and promises that things will be a lot better around here from now on. However, he notices that The Miz holds the Gift of the Gods and says that it looks like The Miz and Blassie have done well for themselves while he was away and asks if The Miz is interested in turning it in for a Lucha Underground Championship title match. Blassie and The Miz state that they aren’t interested in doing so at this time, but that they will reconsider if conditions ever become more favourable to do so. Cueto says that is a smart decision, but says that The Miz can’t just hold onto the Gift of the Gods without ever defending it, which is why next week, he will defend it against Beth Phoenix. The Miz and Blassie share a laugh, saying that with competition like that, Cueto can expect The Miz to be the Gift of the Gods for many years to come.

Rey Mysterio Jr. defeated Pentagon Jr. by pinfall in another excellent lucha libre contest. Pentagon was at his best when he was able to slow the pace. He executed a methodical game plan that brought him close to victory on a few occasions, but the more experienced king of lucha libre, Mysterio, was able to ramp up the speed an strike back with several aerial attacks. After a series of near falls, Mysterio blocked a superplex, knocked Pentagon down to the mat and executed diving headscissors that flung him into the ropes, where Mysterio executed the Six-One-Nine and then the West Coast Pop for the win.

Matanza Cueto defeated The Patriot by pinfall to retain the Lucha Underground Championship. Dario Cueto’s baby brother was truly dominant during the open minutes of the contest, but after a series of overhead belly-to-belly suplexes ended with The Patriot rolling out of the ring, Matanza relinquished control of the match by going out to get his opponent onto to get jabbed in the abdomen with the buttend of a flag stick and then have the flag stick snapped across the back of his head. From there, The Patriot punished Matanza with a series of power moves before executing the Uncle Sam Slam and pinning him. Matanza kicked out of the pinfall, much to The Patriot’s surprise. Then, he went to the top rope and attempted the Patriot Missile, but Matanza moved and then showed off his impressive strength by giving him a gutwrench powerbomb and then deadlift pulling him into the air for a spinning sit-out powerbomb. Rather than going for the pin, at the urging of his brother, Matanza picked up The Patriot and executed the Wrath of the Gods before finally pinning him.
