We kick off this week’s episode, featuring the Aztec Warfare match, with Alberto El Patron entering the ring dressed to compete. He’s not here because he’s the first entrant in Aztec Warfare, he’s here to boast that tonight, the Lucha Underground Championship will be won by a member of the Latino World Order, which is cause for celebration because that means it will be finally going home to Mexico. He also wants to remind us that Rey Mysterio Jr., Prince Puma, Fénix, Aero Star, Drago, Pentagon Jr. and Bad News Brown are not competing in Aztec Warfare, and that none of them are in the Temple tonight because they have been barred from the building. He has extensive security set up around the premises to stop any of them from interfering in this important match. Then, he turns it over to Melissa Santos to announce the first entrant in the match.
Predictably, Ultimo Dragon is announced as the first entrant in this year’s Aztec Warfare match. This does not bode well for his chances to retain the Lucha Underground Championship. As he enters the ring and relinquishes the title belt to the referee, Melissa Santos begins to announce the arrival of the second entrant in the match before being cut off the voice of:
“Ladies and gentlemen, my name is Paul Heyman, and I am the advocate general for Beast Incarnate – BROCK LESNAR!”
Heyman stands at the top of the Temple stairs and begins to descend them towards the ring. As he does so, he recounts Lesnar’s brief prior history in the Temple, reminding us of the ways in which he has entered the Temple and acted as its conqueror – by laying waste to the likes of Big Van Vader and Samoa Joe (who hasn’t been seen since, he might add), in successful MUW World Heavyweight Championship title defences. Unfortunately, he tells us that his client no longer holds any gold, which makes his client very angry – and when his client is very angry, he’s very mean – and when his client is very mean, he becomes an unrelenting beast who likes to take his frustrations out on hapless luchadores – and he does this by sending them all to Suplex City. The only thing that will satisfy Brock Lesnar is winning new gold to replace the old gold that he no longer has, which is why Brock Lesnar is going to become the new Lucha Underground Champion!
And just like that, the Beast Incarnate is here, and he’s ready to feast on a dragon. The bell is rung and the match has begun. This doesn’t bode well for Ultimo Dragon. Lesnar comes at him, but Ultimo Dragon sends him flying with a pair of arm drags and then gives him a dragon combo of kicks. He runs to the ropes and goes for tilt-a-whirl headscissors, but Lesnar reverses it into a backbreaker. Now, Lesnar takes over, driving high knees into Ultimo Dragon before taking him on a trip to Suplex City. Four release German suplexes are executed before the final one sends Ultimo Dragon out to the floor.
Argenis is the third luchador to enter the match. Coincidently, he’s also the first luchador to exit the match. He comes into the ring with a springboard cross body attempt, but Lesnar catches him and drops him with a fall forward slam. Then, he delivers a few German suplexes and hits the F-5 to put Argenis away.
The same fate awaits Mr. Cisco, who does his best to avoid Lesnar. When he finally senses an opening to attack, his attempt fails, which puts him on the receiving end of some release German suplexes. Mr. Cisco managed to waste enough time to avoid being eliminated before the next luchador enters the match.
Mr. Cisco’s Crew-mate, Castro Cortez comes in with his kendo stick in hand, just as Lesnar hoists Mr. Cisco onto his shoulders in a fireman’s carry. Cortez strikes Lesnar across the calves with his kendo stick, freeing his partner. He goes to strike Lesnar’s torse, but he captures the kendo stick beneath his arm and then levels Cortez with a short-arm clothesline. Lesnar snaps the kendo stick in half across his knee, then proceeds to give both members of the Crew some German suplexes before serving up a pair of F-5s and pinning them simultaneously. 1-2-3! Both members of the Crew are gone!
Super Crazy enters the match next and he suffers the same fate as all who came before him. Three German suplexes and an F-5 quickly eliminate Super Crazy. Finally, Ultimo Dragon returns to the ring and he puts up a big fight by first catching Lesnar off guard with a missile dropkick from behind. After taking him down quickly with a hurricanrana, he executes a dragon suplex and then nails Lesnar with the shining wizard! He pins, but Lesnar kicks out in the nick of time.
Now things are about to pick up as the “Lunatic Fringe” arrives. He comes into the ring with a diving elbow drop to a standing Ultimo Dragon and then he attacks Lesnar, gets shoved away and then decks him with a big rebound clothesline. Ambrose goes outside and starts pulling chairs out from under the ring and sliding them into it.
And that suits the Chairman of Lucha Underground just fine. Mind you, he doesn’t come to the ring empty handed. He plays air guitar on his steel chair from the top of the Temple stairs before coming down to the ring. La Parka serves up big chair shots to everyone before giving Ultimo Dragon a sit-out powerbomb into the pile of chairs that Ambrose put in the ring. 1…2… shoulder up! The defending champion is still alive!
Kurt Angle enters the fray and avoids a chair attack from La Parka before sending him across the ring with an overhead belly-to-belly suplex. He also gives one to Ambrose and then one to Lesnar. A few moments later, Angle finds La Parka and gives him an Angle Slam onto the bed of chairs! However, before he can pin him, Ultimo Dragon serves up a thrust kick that knocks Angle out of the ring. Ultimo Dragon follows him out with a corkscrew plancha!
Reaching the half way point of Aztec Warfare, “Dare Wolf” PJ Black is the tenth luchador in, but he immediately exits the ring by nailing Angle, Ultimo Dragon and Ambrose with a springboard plancha in which he got big air under it. Back in the ring, La Parka goes to town on Lesnar with chair shots. Finally, he sets up Lesnar for a powerbomb into the bed of chairs, but Lesnar counters with a back body drop. When La Parka gets up, Lesnar picks him up and drives him into the bed of chairs with a F-5. 1-2-3! La Parka is eliminated.
Awesome Kong is the first luchadora in the match. As Angle, Ambrose, Black and Ultimo Dragon brawl on the floor, Awesome Kong enters the ring and does not shy away from the Beast Incarnate. An intense face-to-face show down takes place, ending with Lesnar finally laughing at the idea that a woman is talking trash to him, but that woman starts hammering away at him with rights and lefts and backs him into the corner. Lesnar tries to cover up, but she stays on him. She goes for a cross-corner whip, but Lesnar reverses it and gets floored as Awesome Kong explodes out of the corner upon impact to drop Lesnar with a jumping shoulder block. Meanwhile, Famous B and the Beautiful Brenda are seen coming out to cheer on Angle. The distraction gets Angle into trouble as it results in Ambrose sending him flying backwards into the wooden seats at ringside with a running front dropkick.
The twelfth entrant into the match is Shinsuke Nakamura, who garners Awesome Kong’s attention. She stops beating the snot out of Lesnar to get into it with Nakamura (who you might recall beat her for a shot at the Gift of the Gods – something to which she’s been in pursuit since the beginning of the season). As Awesome Kong and Nakamura trade stiff blows. Ambrose sends Black into the ring and then comes back in by dropping him with a diving clothesline from the top rope. Lesnar roars back to life by giving German suplexes to everyone in the ring. He tries to give Awesome Kong the F-5 but she breaks free from the fireman’s carry and then drops him with a vicious headbutt before she gets nailed with the Bomaye from Nakamura. He immediately covers her for the pin. Awesome Kong is eliminated.
Business is about to pick up! Mil Muertes is out next! He enters the ring and immediately attacks Nakamura, sending him out of the ring with a hard clothesline. He turns around to find that the only other person in the ring is Brock Lesnar. These two behemoths of the ring stare each other down. Lesnar does that cocky laugh thing that he always does, but Mil Muertes doesn’t react to it one way or the other. Lesnar finally attemps to strike him, but he blocks and hammers away at him, backing him into the ropes. Lesnar reverses a whip attempt and then kind of spinebuster tackles Mil Muertes to the mat and pummels him with his big meat hooks. He picks him up and lifts Mil Muertes onto his shoulders, but the man of a thousand deaths slips free. Just then, Lesnar is nailed from behind by a missile dropkick from Black and Mil Muertes gets the same thing from Ambrose, sending both men out of the ring.
Arriving at number fourteen is the “Macho King” Randy Savage! He takes a very long moment at the top of the stairs to bask in the adulation of the Believers. He takes so long in fact that he’s only half way down the stairs when the next entrant is announced.
Savage’s long-time Mash-Up Wrestling rival is here. Eddie Guerrero hasn’t forgotten that Savage defeated him at Ultima Lucha and goes right after Savage, hitting him from behind and knocking him down the stairs. Back in the ring, Angle has put Black in an ankle lock. Black crawls towards the ropes. Meanwhile, Mil Muertes has returned to the ring and is stalking Angle. Famous B believes the situation to be perilous. He finds a steal chair and slides into the ring. Black gets to the ropes to force a rope break.
Officially, it is Perro Aguyao Jr. who is the next entrance in the match. However, unofficially, it is all of Los Perros del Mal that join the contest. They come bearing weapons and they attack Lesnar at ringside. Meanwhile, back in the ring, Angle lets Black go and turns around to see Mil Muertes has cornered him. Famous B hits him in the back with a chair. He staggers for a moment, but turns around almost immediately. Now, Famous B is shaking in his shoes. Mil Muertes slowly steps towards him and Famous B runs at him while going for a homerun swing. Mil Muertes ducks and Famous B hits his prospective client in the face with the chair! Mil Muertes grabs Famous B from behind and tosses him clear over the ropes and onto the entire team of Los Perros del Mal. Then, he grabs Angle and gives him the Flatliner! 1…2…3! Kurt Angle is eliminated.
Juventud Guerrera comes out next. He immediately enters the ring and then runs clear to the other side and leaps out, hitting Nakamura, Ambrose, and Ultimo Dragon with a springboard corkscrew plancha. He grabs the defending Lucha Underground Champion and focuses his attack on him. Meanwhile, back in the ring, Mil Muertes serves up the Reaper’s Trident to Black and then gives him a Flatliner to end his quest for the title. “Dare Wolf” PJ Black is eliminated. With no one left in the ring, he goes out and starts doing damage to Ambrose and Nakamura.
The newly unmasked Psicosis is out next. In the ring, Ultimo Dragon gives Guerrera an Asai DDT! He pins. 1…2.. Psicosis breaks it up with a Senton Psicosis. Before anything more can be done, Lesnar has re-entered the ring after sending all of Los Perros del Mal flying with German suplexes on the floor. He plows through Psicosis and gives him the F-5! Then, Ultimo Dragon gets the F-5! Then, Guerrera gets the F-5! However, after that, he receives the Reaper’s Trident! Mil Muertes picks up Lesnar and gives him the Flatliner! 1…2…3! Paul Heyman can’t believe it! Brock Lesnar is eliminated!
Entering the ring in the nineteenth position, and second to last, is Paige. As she gets ready to jump into the ring, she glances at Catrina and trades insults with her. Instead of entering the ring, she decides to go attack Catrina, which is a big mistake, because now Mil Muertes is out of the ring and going after her. This brings Aguayo, Daga, and Garza to her rescue. Now, Mil Muertes is being victimized by a 3-on-1 assault that ends with him getting a triple powerbomb through a table! They toss him into the ring and, one after another, execute moves from the top rope on him before piling on with the pin. 1…2…3! Mil Muertes is eliminated.
As if there were any doubts that the final entrant in tonight’s contest would be the boss, Alberto El Patron, who exits the office flanked by Cortez Castro, Mr. Cisco, Super Crazy and La Parka – all already eliminated from the match (as if that matters) – with a microphone in hand and says that Ultimo Dragon is lucky that he is still in the match – as are Dean Ambrose, Shinsuke Nakamura, and “Macho King” Randy Savage – but if they look around, they will see that they are outnumbered by the Latino World Order (El Patron, Guerrero, Guerrera, Psicosis, Super Crazy, Paige, Aguayo, Daga, Garza, La Parka, Castro, and Mr. Cisco)! Now it’s time to bring glory back to lucha libre by bringing the Lucha Underground Champion back to Mexico where it belongs!
And just like that, the 12-on-4 assault begins, but almost as soon as it does, an insurgency begins. The resistance is here!
Rey Mysterio Jr., Prince Puma, Fénix, Aero Star, Drago are here to foil Alberto’s plans. Moments later, Pentagon Jr. and Bad News Brown also show up. A giant brawl ensues and last a few minutes until eventually, all of the luchadores barred from the building have removed the already eliminated and otherwise unofficial LWO participants from the ringside area, leaving El Patron, Guerrero, Guerrera, Psicosis, Page, and Aguayo to compete with Ultimo Dragon, Ambrose, Nakamura, and Savage. But hold on!
“Hold on! Hold on! Hold on! Hold on!”
It’s Dario Cueto! He stands at the top of Temple steps and declares that he calls the shots around here because he is El Jefe and this is his Temple! Then he announces that there is one more entrant is this year’s Aztec Warfare – his brother, Matanza Cueto!
This huge monster slowly comes down to the ring and enters. El Patron tells everyone to gang up on him. The LWO does that, but they’re all flung away in every which direction. They all flee the ring except for Aguayo, who tries to leave, but is captured by Matanza and slammed hard into the mat with The Wrath of the Gods! 1…2…3! Perro Aguayo Jr. is eliminated.
Everyone on the outside looks around to consider what should be done next. El Patron orders Guerrera and Psicosis to make a double-team attack, so they both head to opposite corners and climb the turnbuckles. Guerrera hits Matanza with a missile dropkick that knocks him backwards but not off his feet. Psicosis follows it up with one of his own, which knocks the monster down. Matanza gets up and eats some superkicks. Then, Psicosis goes for tilt-a-whirl headscissors, but Matanza turns it into a backbreaker. Guerrera attempts a cross-body, but ends up jumping right into The Wrath of Gods! 1…2…3! Juventud Guerrera is eliminated.
Psicosis tries another attack, but Matanza throws him half-way across the ring with an overhead belly-to-belly toss. He walks over and picks Psicosis off the mat into a deadlift bridging German suplex! 1…2…3! Psicosis is eliminated.
Again, they’re at a standstill. Both Guerrero and El Patron fain moves to enter the ring. Finally, Matanza is knocked down hard from behind by Savage with his blow to the head from his royal sceptre! Savage pins, but Matanza kicks out at two. As Savage continues his attack, fighting erupts on the outside of the ring between the three members of Latino World Order and the three non-members of the group. Back in the ring, Savage grabs Matanza by the mask and leaps over the top rope, giving him a hangman. Then, he goes to the top rope and executes a double axe-handle smash. Savage scoops him up and executes a bodyslam and then heads to the top rope. As soon as he’s set for the elbow drop, pointing up to the sky, Latino Heat, his old bitter rival, pulls the ropes out from under him, crotching him on the top rope. Then, Guerrero performs a springboard frankensteinner to send him down into the ring. Seeing Matanza up and moving, Guerrero slides out of the ring to safety. Meanwhile, Matanza picks Savage up and gives him The Wrath of the Gods! 1…2…3! Randy Savage is eliminated.
Moments later, El Patron frees Paige from Ultimo Dragon’s grip by giving him a backstabber. Then, he rolls him into the ring, where Matanza picks him up gives him a spinning high-angle urinage slam! 1…2…3! Ultimo Dragon is eliminated, meaning there will be a new Lucha Underground Champion.
Next, Guerrero and El Patron throw Nakamura into the ring. Matanza picks him up, but the King of Strong Style punches, elbow smashes and headbutts his way free. He runs the ropes and comes back only to be back body dropped. Meanwhile, Ambrose tosses Paige into the ring, distracting the Monster. He sees her and slowly heads towards her. El Patron goes into panic mode. He and Guerrero come into the ring and attack Matanza, but he fights them off, only to be given some thrust kicks from Paige and then a DDT. Paige declares that the Temple is her house, but then turns around into a kick to the gut and a Dirty Deeds DDT from Ambrose! 1…2…3! Paige is eliminated.
El Patron is pissed off and attacks Ambrose, sending him out the floor and going out to do more damage to him. Guerrero follows closely behind. Back in the ring, Nakamura lines Matanza up for the Bomaye, but Matanza evades it and then gives him a side belly-to-belly suplex. Matanza picks him up and gives him a bucklebomb followed by a running avalanche splash and then a standing shooting star press! 1…2…3! Shinsuke Nakamura is eliminated.
Back on the outside, El Patron and Guerrero have cleared off the announcer’s table and they give Ambrose a double-crucifix bomb onto the hardwood table! Then, they toss him into the ring where Matanza picks him up and gives him a gutwrench sit-out powerbomb. 1…2…3! Dean Ambrose is eliminated.
And then there were three. Matanza Cueto, Eddie Guerrero and Alberto El Patron. Dario Cueto shouts warnings to beware for decoys, sneak attacks and double teams while El Patron and Guerrero discuss a plan of attack. When they finally enter the ring, Guerrero and El Patron are both clobbered by Matanza after hip tosses, arm drags and clotheslines, he sends El Patron across the ring with an overhead belly-to-belly suplex, then grabs Guerrero from behind and gives him a release German suplex. Guerrero flips in the air after release and lands on his feet, then falls down, screaming and clutching his right ankle. He rolls out of the ring and continues to grab his ankle. Meanwhile, El Patron is left alone with Matanza and that does not bode well for him. He gets a few moves in, but ultimately, Matanza overpowers him and after giving him a massive superplex from the top rope, Matanza picks up El Patron and gives him the Wrath of Gods! 1…2…3! Alberto El Patron is eliminated.
Eddie Guerrero limps away from the ring, but then Prince Puma reappears to block his get away. Guerrero pleads for mercy, but Prince Puma won’t let him escape. Guerrero is still in this match and he needs to finish it, but then Guerrero hits Puma with a thrust kick, revealing he was lying about his ankle injury to escape a massive beatdown from the Monster Matanza Cueto. Unfortunately for him, the episode with Puma was enough to enable Matanza to come get Guerrero before he could escape. Matanza gives Guerrero a suplex on the floor. Then, he slams his lower back across the turnbuckle post a few times before whipping him into the sea of wooden seats at ringside. The Monster picks up Latino Heat and powerbombs him on a bed of the open wooden chairs before finally taking him back into the ring. He whips Guerrero, who baseball slides under Matanza and then staggers him with a dropkick. Guerrero runs to the ropes and goes for tilt-a-whirl headscissors, but Matanza turns it into a backbreaker. While picking him up, Matanza gets a blatant low blow and then a snap DDT. Guerrero covers for two. He grabs Matanza and gives him the Three Amigos! Now, Latino Heat heads to the top turnbuckle. Could he conquer the Monster? No! He goes for the frog splash, but his the canvas. Matanza picks up Guerrero and delivers the Wrath of the Gods! 1…2…3! Eddie Guerrero is eliminated.
Dario Cueto enters the ring, takes the Lucha Underground Championship from the referee and hands it to his brother, while excitedly announcing that the winner and new Lucha Underground Champion is his brother, Matanza Cueto!

To close out this week's show, we cut to the scene of a dimly lit hospital room and we see Samoa Joe in a hospital bed, just as he was several months ago, presumably in a comatose state. A nurse enters the room, checks an IV drip and the readings on a pulse minitor, which appear to be stable. She records something on a clipboard medical chart and then sticks on a hook at the foot of the bed. She grabs a television remote control and turns the TV on. She clicks through some channels before finding a lucha libre ring. She says, I know you were a luchador, so this might perk you up." She turns the volume up and then leaves the room. Airing on the television monitor is Lucha Underground: Aztec Warfare II. Paul Heyman arrives and announces Brock Lesnar's participation in the mat. At the moment he enters the Temple, Joe's eyes open and the expression on his face turns from that of someone who is resting to someone who is legitimately pissed off.
