The show begins in the deep recesses of the Temple. There, we find Fénix talking to Aero Star about his mask versus mask match against Psicosis, which will take place in the second half of tonight’s show. Fénix is concerned that he will lose his mask as it will essentially be a 3-on-1 contest – and who knows what else the Latino World Order might have planned to stack the deck against him. Aero Star says that he will not let that happen. He’ll be there to make sure Juventud Guerrera and Super Crazy don’t end up being the deciding factor, and he plans on bringing a close personal friend of his along to help counteract whatever they or the LWO might have in store for him.

SaNiTy defeated the Rabbit Tribe by pinfall. Lucha Underground newcomers Alexander Wolfe, Nikki Cross, and Killian Dain, collectively referred to as SaNiTy in a pre-match promo by group leader Eric Young, waged battle against Paul London, Saltador, and Mala Suarte. Young also stated that the Temple was the only sane and safe place in an otherwise insane and unsafe world. The unconventional group showcased their power and aggression against the unlucky fan favourites from the Rabbit Tribe. Save for a few triple team spots and a short period in which London took control over Wolfe, SaNiTy was solidly in control. In the end, Dain gave London a lifting inverted DDT, Wolfe gave Saltador a death valley driver, and Cross gave Mala Suarte multiple swinging fisherman’s neckbreakers before pinning him for the win.

Baron Corbin defeated Kurt Angle by pinfall. It was Angle’s second match back in the Temple since being gone for most of the beginning of the second season. In his first match back, he unsuccessfully challenged Ultimo Dragon for the Lucha Underground Championship. Here, he faced a powerful opponent, but one who was not as big of challenge for him. While Corbin struck him with some powerful punches and kicks, and executed a few high impact maneuvers such as a big back body drop, a running big boot to the face, and the Deep Six, one never had the sense that Corbin would actually defeat the Olympic Gold Medalist. Angle always came back from Corbin’s attacks with stronger counter-attacks. He had just completed a trifecta of rolling German suplexes when he pulled his singlet straps down and waited for Corbin to get up to give him the Angle Slam. While this was happening, Famous B, who had come to ringside with the Beautiful Brenda to cheer for Angle, got onto the ring apron. Clad in a tacky golden suit, he cheered vociferously for Angle, distracting him. Angle came over and told him to get down, but Famous B didn’t listen. Instead, he produced a business card and offered it to Angle. Famous B forced it into his hand. Angle read it with a look of confusion on his face, and then was nailed with a clothesline from behind and then quickly given the End of Days.

“Macho King” Randy Savage is meeting with Alberto El Patron in his office. He is making a case for being entered into the Aztec Warfare match, which will take place in two weeks. Alberto says that all of the spots have been determined. Unfortunately, there’s no more room for anyone else. Savage is royally upset with this decision, arguing that he should be Lucha Underground Champion right now, were it not for Cesaro. As if on cue, Cesaro opens the door unannounced, and says that he needs to talk about last week’s Gift of the Gods match. Savage turns around and stands up, ready to strike. Alberto calls The Crew in to get between them. He doesn’t want them messing up his office. He knows how much hate there is between these two, so he thinks he has a way of making both of them happy. Suddenly, he realizes that there is one spot in Aztec Warfare that hasn’t been filled. So next week, in the main event, it will be “Macho King” versus the “King of Swing” in a Falls County Anywhere match for a spot in Aztec Warfare!

Fénix defeated Psicosis by pinfall to win this Mask vs. Mask match. With both luchadores putting their masks on the line, there was a lot at stake in this match. It seemed like Psicosis would have the upper hand, as he had an insurance policy consisting of Juventud Guerrera and Super Crazy. However, it would seem as though he didn’t count on Fénix having his own insurance policy. After a great deal of high flying lucha libre action, Fénix appeared to have the match won after leaping onto the top rope to meet Psicosis and bringing him down to the canvas with a big Spanish fly! When he pinned him, Guerrera interrupted the referee’s count by pulling him out of the ring. He engaged in an argument with the referee while Super Crazy entered the ring to attack Fénix. He gave him a brainbuster and then a moonsault. As he got up, a dragon – Drago – ran in and took him out with a vicious blockbuster inside-out DDT. Psicosis tried to attack, but Drago evaded his attack and then spat mist in his face. While that happened, outside the ring, Aero Star showed up and attacked Guerrera. Back in the ring, Fénix gave Psicosis a Mexican Destroyer and pinned him for the win. Psicosis tried to get away with not honouring the match stipulation, but Drago and Aero Star returned to take out Super Crazy and Guerrera again and prevent Psicosis from leaving the ringside area. They forced him back into the ring and held onto him while Fénix took his mask.

Sexy Star defeated Bayley by referee’s decision in this No Mas match. This match further cemented Sexy Star’s turn to the dark side, as the two luchadoras brawled around the ring. Sexy Star’s newfound vicious streak saw her ramming Bayley’s head on the turnbuckle posts multiple times, seemingly in an effort to draw blood. It worked on the third try. She was protected from the same thing happening to her thanks to her mask. That said, Bayley found other ways to punish Sexy Star, including by superkicking a chair in Sexy Star’s hands back into her face, and later countering a superplex attempt into a falling front suplex off the top rope onto a table. The table didn’t break, so Bayley laid Sexy Star out on in a nailed a diving elbow drop to her heart that in turn broke it in half. Despite these match highlights, she was unable to get Sexy Star to say “No mas!” Likewise, Sexy Star was unable to get Bayley to say that even after giving her a tornado DDT on a steel chair and sending her flying into a pile of thumbtacks with a frankensteiner. When Bayley jumped on her back while attempting a rear naked choke, Sexy Star quickly backed her into a turnbuckle to break it up and then took her to the mat with a cross armbreaker. Sexy Star synched it in and held onto it tight, Bayley refused to give up, even when it seemed to be detrimental to her health. She managed to reach the ropes to force a rope break. Her arm dangled lifelessly. The referee was checking on her, when Sexy Star attacked and put her in the hold again. The referee asked Bayley, but she only said, “no!” However, the referee called for the bell anyway, sensing that letting the match continue might be detrimental to her health and her career.

We see footage from last week’s main event in which Ultimo Dragon barely held onto the Lucha Underground Championship when he defended his title against Alberto El Patron in a lumberjack match. The footage continues on, revealing that the Latino World Order has invaded the Temple. Alberto El Patron, Perro Aguyao Jr., Hector Garza, Daga, Juventud Guerrera, Psicosis, Super Crazy, The Crew, La Parka, and Eddie Guerrero are all revealed to be members of the LWO. When the video end, we see the President of the United States.
“This is the final straw! This is a HUGE disgrace to the American tradition of elite combat sports. We need to send these murderers and rapists back to Mexico! I need you to dismantle the Latino World Order and take back the Temple for the United States of America and MAKE WRESTLING GREAT AGAIN!”
After a short pause, the voice on the other end of the phone is heard saying, “You can count on me, Mr. President! The Stars ‘n Stripes will fly high once again! I’m going to flush lucha libre down the toilet and MAKE WRESTLING GREAT AGAIN!”
