The sound of a trumpet blares to open this week’s show. That sound can only signal that Dario Cueto has an important announcement to make. He comes out of his office and walks into the ring with the Gift of the Gods belt in his hands. He says that Ultima Lucha is only three weeks away, and because Ultimo Dragon turned in the Gift of the Gods for an opportunity to win the Lucha Underground Championship, it is necessary to redistribute the Seven Ancient Aztec Medallions from the Gift of the Gods title belt to seven worthy luchadors who will compete at Ultima Lucha to become the next holder of the Gift of the Gods. Now, there is going to be one thing that is a little different. So far, whenever seven luchadors have competed for the Gift of the Gods it has always been in a ladder match, and since the last one was not that long ago, Cueto feels that it would be best to freshen things up a little bit. Therefore, at Ultima Lucha, the seven luchadors who win one of the Ancient Aztec Medallions will compete in an elimination tables match!
After making this announcement, Cueto says that it is time to give out three of the Ancient Aztec Medallions right now to the winners of the next match. “Now, ring the bell!”

Aero Star, Fénix and Juventud Guerrera defeated The Heenan Family by pinfall, earning the each one of the Seven Ancient Aztec Medallions. It was a contest featuring a contrast in styles as the tradional Mexican luchadors used a combination of quick strikes and high risk aerial maneuvers, while the Heenan Family used suplexes and other high impact power maneuvers. After an early onslaught of high flying attacks from Aero Star, Fénix and Juventud Guerrera, the Heenan Family slowed the pace down by grounding and pounding on Fénix. Fénix would eventually make the hot tag, enabling Aero Star and Juventud Guerrera to fluster Anderson and Blanchard with hurricanranas, tilt-a-whirl headscissors, and a variety of diving and springboard attacks. However, when Vader was tagged in, he took control of the match back for his team, but a coordinated triple team attack was too much for him to handle. Heenan tripped up Juventud Guerrera, helping his family regain control. Vader gave him a Vader Bomb, but he couldn’t win the match as Son of Havoc and Heath Slater showed up to break it up. They proved to be the catalysts in this contest, as Heenan make the tactical error of encouraging Vader to go after them outside of the ring. That left Anderson and Blanchard in a 3-on-2 situation that eventually ended with Aero Star executing an imploding shooting star press on Blanchard and pinning him for the win.

Argenis and Rey Mysterio Jr. are having a talk in the Lucha Underground locker room. Mysterio is giving Argenis a pep talk to get him thinking positively about his chances of beating the legendary “Macho King” Randy Savage, in a match that is coming up next. When Argenis leaves the room to head towards the Temple entrance, Mysterio is left alone in the room. The lights flicker on and off and when they turn back on, Catrina stands behind him and whispers into his year that Mil Muertes has reached a new level of rage that she’s never before seen. The lights flicker again, when they come back on, Catrina is face-to-face with Mysterio. She tells him that she’s very impressed. Catrina is rather seductive in the way she delivers this message to Mysterio, circling him and lightly touching him, as if she’s trying to put him under a spell. She continues to talk him up as she moves in closer. She goes for a kiss, but Mysterio stops her. Her tricks have failed to work on him. He tells her that her witchcraft may have worked on Pascal Mendoza, but it won’t work on him. Mysterio leaves the room, and leaves Catrina with a frown on her face.

“Macho King” Randy Savage defeated Argenis by pinfall. This was essentially a squash match. Savage dominated Argenis, giving him jabs, chops, elbow smashes, a hangman over the top role, an atomic drop, vertical suplex, a pair of diving axehandle smashes, a bodyslam, and his patented diving elbow drop to secure the win at around the 2-minute mark. After the match ends, Savage goes to the broadcast table, yanks Matt Strikes headset off and makes a royal proclamation guaranteeing that all liars, cheaters, and thieves in the Temple will be executed, beginning with Eddie Guerrero at Ultima Lucha!

Paige defeated Lluvia by submission. Paige and Lluvia had a pretty competitive match. It went back-and-forth for quite a while until Paige was able to block a frankensteiner attempt and then hit a missile dropkick followed by a side kick. After that, she slowed the pace down with submission holds to wear Lluvia down. The momentum swung back in Lluvia’s favour when she was whipped into the corner and got out of the corner to evade Paige’s attack. Paige hit the turnbuckle and then Lluvia put her down with a side belly-to-back suplex and landed a lionsault to get a 2-count. Lluvia picked up the pace and got a few close pinfalls, but got a stiff forearm to the head when she was going for a suicide dive. Paige followed it up with a Paige-Turner on the floor! Paige returned Lluvia to the ring and put her in the PTO to force her to submit.
After winning, Paige refused to let go until she saw Sexy Star running down the Temple stairs. Paige slid out of the other side of the ring to keep her distance. There was a shouting match that ensued between the two bitter rivals, until the sound of a trumpet was heard and Dario Cueto came out of his office. Cueto said that he has noticed that Paige and Sexy Star have become bitter enemies, but Paige is always attacking Sexy Star and then running away. This seems hardly fair to him, so he has a solution. At Ultima Lucha, it’s going to be Sexy Star vs. Paige in a Cage Match!

Catrina appears in a dark a dark room with a throne and an open casket that is standing upright. Mil Muertes is seen in the casket with his eyes shut. Catrina walks up to the casket, grabs her powerful stone and, unwraps it from a clothe, and holds it up in front of Mil Muertes’ face. He awakes suddenly and then climbs out of the casket. Catrina tells him that Mysterio is more powerful than any mere mortal can understand. Mil Muertes looks pissed and growls that Mysterio cannot be more powerful than death. Catrina suggests that he may be and tells Mil Muertes that he insists that he can escape the clutches of death. Mil Muertes is furious. He turns back and puts his fist through the casket door. After he removes it, he tells her that no one can escape death.

Bayley defeated Charlotte Flair by pinfall. The early minutes of this match saw Bayley and Flair go back-and-forth as often as two people sitting on a seesaw. Neither luchadora was willing to give in. Every time Bayley hit Flair, she would come back harder, and every time Flair hit Bayley, she would come back harder. The intensity of the match eventually led to them taking the match out to the floor. Flair went for a big risk by going for a moonsault from the top turnbuckle onto Bayley outside the ring. Fortunately for her, she connected. It was the only time she was applauded by the Believers. After hitting that maneuver, Flair took control of the match and targeted Bayley’s knees. Flair was relentless in her attacks, softening her up for the Figure Eight. However, a charge into the corner turned the tide in Bayley’s favour as she got a boot up in Flair’s face and then gave her a bulldog. She mounted a comeback with a running double axehandle smashes, clotheslines and a snap suplex. Bayley hit a diving elbow drop from the top rope, but Flair kicked out of the pinfall. When Bayley tried to hook Flair’s arms for a double underhook suplex, Flair broke free and dropped her into the mat with a running big boot to the face. After that, Flair gave Bayley a succession of moves that led to her applying the figure four. She tried to bridge to Figure Eight, but Bayley squirmed enough to resist. Eventually, she reversed the pressure and forced Flair to make a rope break. After some more back-and-forth action, Flair reversed a whip and gave Bayley a back body drop. She waited for Bayley to start to get up, setting her up for the Natural Selection. As she went for it, Bayley rolled out of the way. With a quick burst of energy, Bayley gave Flair a German suplex, an exploder suplex, and a Belly-to-Bayley suplex in rapid succession. 1-2-3! Bayley won the match and earned the opportunity to challenge Awesome Kong for the Lucha Underground Luchadoras Championship at Ultima Lucha!
