Bayley and Sexy Star were seen talking in the Lucha Underground locker room. Bayley wished Sexy Star good luck on her match. Sexy Star told Bayley that she is disappointed that she didn’t get the title match that she asked for, but that when she wins tonight, she’ll happily grant Bayley the opportunity to win the Luchadoras Championship in her first title defense. At that moment, Charlotte Flair happened to be walking by. She spoke up, stating that Bayley won’t get the first title defense because Sexy Star won’t be the Luchadoras Champion at the end of the night, she will. And besides, Bayley has never done anything to deserve a title match anyway.

Samoa Joe defeated Pentagon Jr. by pinfall. This match was contested under Falls Count Anywhere rules. As a result, the match was fought both inside and outside of the ring, with the combatants leaving and entering frequently. Pinfalls were attempted inside the ring, on the Temple floor at ringside, and even up on top of Dario Cueto’s office. Highlights of the bout included: an early exchange of hard chops in which they both thundered stiff open-palm strikes onto each other’s chests; Samoa Joe hitting Pentagon Jr. with a suicide dive that sent him crashing into the front row of wooden seats at ringside; Pentagon Jr. jumping from railing of the high-riser section onto Samoa Joe with a diving cross-body block; Samoa Joe blocking a Pentagon Driver attempt on the ring apron and countering with a back body drop; Pentagon Jr. chattering a kendo stick on Samoa Joe’s forehead after diving off of the top rope; and Pentagon Jr. charging at Samoa Joe to knock him off of Dario Cueto’s office only to get a uranagi slam instead. The end of the match came when Pentagon Jr. had placed Samoa Joe on a table outside the ring and climbed the turnbuckle. Joe got up, climbed onto the ring apron and caught Pentagon Jr. He pulled him off the turnbuckle and fell back, sending Pentagon Jr. crashing through the table and onto the floor with the Muscle Buster. After a short delay, Joe crawled over and pinned Pentagon Jr. for the win.
When Pentagon Jr. finally got up, after the end of the match, and Samoa Joe had long ended his victory celebration, he looked at the ring and saw a new referee and ring announcer Melissa Santos already standing in the ring, waiting for the next match to begin. Realizing the match was over and that he lost, he snapped. He entered the ring and knocked the referee down from behind. He stumbled and fell out of the ring. Santos tried to escape harm, but Pentagon Jr. caught her by the hair, half way through the ropes, and pulled her back into the ring. He shoved her to the mat and signalled that he had “Cero Miedo!” Pentagon Jr. was setting up to break her arm when Vampiro got up from the play-by-play table. He rushed into the ring and kicked Pentagon Jr. in the side of the head. He helped Santos to leave the ring. Pentagon Jr. got back up and gave Vampiro the death stare. He’s ready for a fight. Vampiro took a passive stance and tried to calm the situation, but as he slowly backed off, Pentagon Jr. charged at him and knocked him over. He got Vampiro trapped in the corner and stomped on him, repeatedly. Pentagon Jr. went to the opposite corner and charged at Vampiro, but he got a foot up, kicking Pentagon Jr. away. He looked ready for a fight, but stopped himself and left the ring. Several referees showed up to created a blockade to keep them apart, and Pentagon Jr. promised revenge as Vampiro tried to walk his anger off.

Awesome Kong defeated Sexy Star and Charlotte Flair by pinfall. Sexy Star and Charlotte Flair, who have been rivals in the past, formed an alliance to take on their much bigger and more physically intimidating opponent. This plan worked well for them as their two-on-one assault was too much for Awesome Kong to successfully defend against for more than a single minute. However, as the match was not an elimination bout, the co-operators were bound to turn on each other. This came after Awesome Kong took a diving huirricanrana from Sexy Star and then the Natural Selection from Flair. Sexy Star immediately rolled Awesome Kong over to try to get the pin, but Flair attacked her. They battle it out for a few minutes, while Awesome Kong left the ring to recuperate. Leaving her along was a mistake because when she returned to the ring, she threw her opponents around the ring at will. This required Flair and Sexy Star to get back on the same page. Their double teaming culminated with Flair dropping Awesome Kong with a running big boot, Sexy Star landing a frog splash on her, and Flair landing a moonsault on her. Sexy Star would then hit Charlotte with a basement dropkick to move her out of the way and then apply a cross armbreaker to Awesome Kong.
It was at that moment that Paige showed up and attacked Sexy Star. Charlotte joined in. Bayley would rush down and chase Paige away from the ring. Charlotte left the ring to avoid Bayley, but then came back in and put Flair in the Figure Four. Bayley came back out to check on her friend only to find her in the Figure Four and to see Flair transitioning to a Figure Eight. As she bridged, she saw Bayley and then mouthed off at her, while adding that Bayley would never become the champion. Bayley paused for a moment and then shouted at her that cheaters aren’t winners and then came into the ring and gave her an elbow drop to the abdomine. Bayley threw Charlotte out of the ring and left. However, the damage had been done to Sexy Star. Awesome Kong picked her up and gave her an Awesome Bomb to win the match.

We cut to a scene of the Lucha Underground training room. There, the camera came upon Shinsuke Nakamura working on his already excellent striking skills. Kurt Angle walked into the room with his amateur grappling partner and watched Nakamura. When Nakamura finished, Angle got his attention by telling him that his strikes were very impressive. Then, Angle congratulated Nakamura on knocking him out and pinning him in last week’s main event. He went on to tell Nakamura that the preliminary round matches in the Battle of the Bulls tournament have been posted on the locker room door and they will be in the same qualifying match, then he told him that what happened last week won’t happen next week. Nakamura finally stopped packing up his training gear, turned to look at Angle, then walk up close to him, and said, “How much you wanna bet I don’t have your number?” Angle looked angry for a moment, then laughed and said that he likes his confidence, but it won’t do him any good. Nakamura simply replied that Angle should keep telling himself that, and then left the room.

Brock Lesnar defeated Vader by pinfall to retain the Mash-Up World Heavyweight Championship. This one was quite a hard-hitting affair. Both competitors put every once of strength they had into their strikes. They both threw fists. The Beast Incarnate was rabid, attacking by grabbing at Vader’s head and driving knee strikes into his abdomen. The Mastadon came back right with some punishing football tackle takedowns. The Believers were hot for this one, and the managers were even hotter. The Advocate and the Brain were constantly screaming instructions at their clients. It is amazing that either one of them didn’t lose their voices. Vader rocked Lesnar with a hard lariat and then dropped his massive frame down across Lesnar’s chest and abdomen with a splash. When Vader went for a powerbomb, Lesnar looked like a featherweight, leaping over Vader’s head and landing on his feet behind Vader.
And that’s when the Beast took the Mastadon to Suplex City. Amazingly, he got the 430-pounder off his feet with a German suplex! After the fourth German suplex, Arn Anderson and Tully Blanchard ran out. As Dario Cueto tells the officials to exercise leniency in all major title matches, no disqualification came. Lesnar was overwhelmed by Anderson and Blanchard. Predictably, Heyman was losing his mind and even had the referee by the collar ordering him to end the match. Heenan stepped in to defend the referee, and both managers got into a tussle. Son of Havoc and Heath Slater ran out to attack Anderson and Blanchard. Lesnar recovered quickly and took all four of this match’s non-combatants to Suplex City! After riding the ring of them all, Lesnar stood alone in the ring to a huge “Suplex City!” chant from the Believers.
However, Lesnar would get blindsided by Vader with a football tackle. Vader went on a rallied that culminated with a fold-up powerbomb that only earned a 2-count. Vader, then gave Lesnar another powerbomb and dragged him into the corner. He landed a Vaderbomb! 1…2… shoulder up! Vader couldn’t believe it. He went for another Vaderbomb, but Lesnar got his knees up. Then, Lesnar stepped out of the way of Vader’s charging attack. Vader hit the turnbuckle and then Lesnar got back on track. Five! Six! Seven! Lesnar pinned and Vader kicked out. Lesnar tried to lift the Mastadon onto his shoulders, but Vader elbowed him in the head. Then, Vader smashed Lesnar with a short-arm lariat. Vader went for a moonsault, but Lesnar rolled out of the way. When they got back up: Eight! Nine! Ten! F-5! Pin! Kick out at two! Eleven! Twelve! Thirteen! F-5! Pin! 3-count! Win!
As Lesnar celebrated and held his title high in the air, Samoa Joe interrupted by entering the ring and starring right at Lesnar, who took his presence as an affront. Lesnar dared Joe to get in his face. Joe walked to the center of the ring and showed no fear. Lesnar met him there. After exchanging a few words, Joe offered a handshake. Lesnar laughed, but took his hand. After a firm handshake, Lesnar didn’t let go and lifted Joe onto his shoulders, but got a knee to the side of the head and then ended up in the Coquina Clutch! Heyman freaked out as Joe pulled Lesnar to the mat and wrapped his legs around Lesnar’s torso until he passed out. The Believers were going mad at Joe got up, looked down at the Mash-Up World Championship, picked it up, stared at it for a moment and then tossed it down onto Lesnar’s lifeless body.
