The show opens inside of a dingy looking dungeon. The camera shows what appears to be prison cell bars. It is dark and there is a figure standing in the shadows. We have seen this place once before. It is where Big Ryck met his demise. Dario Cueto is standing in the room, talking to his brother, who is caged up. Cueto is telling his brother about Ultima Lucha, his great plan to put on the best lucha event in history. He tells his brother that he wishes he could experience Ultima Lucha, but that he isn’t ready to move upstairs and see what he has created. Then, he goes on to say that he has many big announcements to make this evening, but he needs to get the Lucha Underground Championship back in the hands of its rightful owner, so he must now go to prepare for tonight’s event.
When he walks out of the room, he is in the tight confines of the basement hallway, where he gets on the phone. He has called Chris Jericho. We only hear Cueto’s side of the conversation, but it reveals that he promises to give Jericho what he wants as long as he comes to the Temple and returns the Lucha Underground Champion to him, tonight. When he gets off his phone, he hears a noise and looks down the hallway. He is a bit startled to see three men standing at the foot of the stairs. He yells out at them, asking them who they are, and telling them that they are trespassing and that he is prepared to call the cops to have them removed from his property. The men, who were not looking in his direction, turn around and see Dario. The one in the top hat apologizes, tells him that they followed a rabbit down the stairs and lost it. He asks if Cueto saw a rabbit pass by. Cueto says there are no rabbits in his Temple. He looks at his companions and proclaims that the rabbit hole must be in here. Cueto says that there are no rabbits nor rabbit holes in the Temple and that they must get out of here now. The man in the top hat apologizes and says they will be on their way. He and his party head up the stairs.

VS.
Eddie Guerrero defeated Tyler Breeze by pinfall. In this Episode 24 rematch, the match ended in the result that everyone expected it would the first time around. Guerrero was on a mission to show how dangerous he is in the ring as soon as the opening bell rang. He showed an intensity that only comes out when he’s been seriously angered. Four weeks ago, “Macho King” Randy Savage seriously angered him by throwing him head-first through Dario Cueto’s office window (which has since been boarded over). Guerrero didn’t need to lie, cheat or steal to win this match. He just had to wrestle. For his part, Breeze was overmatched, but he did take control of a portion of the match when he tripped Guerrero while he was on the ring apron, and then gave him a DDT on the floor. However, he was unable to finish him off. Guerrero stormed back with a vengeance and won the match with his patented frog splash.
After the match, Guerrero cut a fiery, passionate promo running down Savage for his cowardly attack. He said that Savage isn’t the “Macho King,” rather he is “Rey Loco” and promised to give him the biggest fight and most embarrassing loss of his career at Ultima Lucha. Oh, and by the way, Savage isn’t getting his stupid crown and sceptre back because after he stole them, he took them to Las Vegas and sold them to the Gold & Silver Pawn Shop. And if Savage thinks he’s lying, he can go on Netflix and watch “Pawn Stars” to see him cheat the Harrison familia out of a couple of grand because his crown and sceptre were worthless hunks of junk.

Dario Cueto is in a meeting with Bayley in his office. Bayley asks Dario Cueto for a match against Awesome Kong for the Luchadoras Championship. He compliments her on her success since returning from injury. He says that her win against Paige a weeks ago was very impressive. However, while he thinks she’s tougher than her soft exterior would suggest and that she could give Awesome Kong a run for her money, she hasn’t shown him enough to stand as the clear number contender. Cueto tells her that he does want to see her try to get revenge on Awesome Kong – he loves it when people are motivated by hate – but he’ll need to think about whether she’s any more deserving than the likes of Sexy Star or Charlotte Flair. Bayley thanks him for considering her request and says that she’ll go out there and keep proving that she’s deserving by what she does in the ring.
Bayley leaves and Bobby “The Brain” Heenan forces his way in the door. As he does, we can hear the Believers cheering and the house band entertaining the fans during the break between matches. Heenan says that he needs to have a meeting with Cueto now. Cueto tells him that he doesn’t have time for a meeting and that he should go out to ringside because one of his family members is in the next match. Heenan starts complaining about Paul Heyman and Brock Lesnar – and Cueto cuts him off, saying that the problem has already been dealt with and that Heenan will find the solution much to his satisfaction, but also that if he stays and bothers him anymore while he is busy managing a crisis, then he’ll make sure that Heenan’s life will be made a living hell. Heenan hears the warning loud and clear, and leaves immediately.

Arn Anderson defeated Heath Slater by pinfall. Much like two weeks ago when Tully Blanchard defeated Son of Havoc, this match saw the men at ringside become a distraction to those inside the ring. With Bobby “The Brain” Heenan and Tully Blanchard at ringside, Son of Havoc showed up to be in Slater’s corner. Blanchard tripped up Slater when he was whipped into the ropes, causing Son of Havoc to run around the ring. Blanchard ran away from him and into the ring. Son of Havoc gave chase. With all four men in the ring, and Slater being down on the mat, Anderson and Blanchard double teamed Son of Havoc, giving him a spike piledriver. Slater got a measure of retribution when he gave Blanchard the Smash Hit DDT, but he was then immediately leveled with a hard lariat and then whipped into the ropes and slammed into the mat with a Double-A Spinebuster that kept him down for the 3-count.

The sound of a trumpet blares, signaling the arrival of Lucha Underground owner and promoter Dario Cueto, who comes out of his office and walks into the ring. Cueto says that he has some important announcements to make.
First, Dario Cueto addresses what occurred two weeks ago when Brock Lesnar and Paul Heyman were in The Temple. Because of what happened, next week, there will be a huge event – perhaps the biggest so far in Lucha Underground history. It will feature Samoa Joe vs. Pentagon Jr. in a Falls Count Anywhere Match! And in the main event, Brock Lesnar will defend the Mash-Up World Heavyweight Championship against Vader! After the crowd dies down from the excitement of this announcement, Cueto says that the Luchadoras Championship will also be defended on next week’s show when Awesome Kong takes on Charlotte Flair and Sexy Star in a triple threat match!
Moving on, Cueto has another important announcement to make and it is about Ultima Lucha, that much talked about event that has thus far had no date set. He says that Ultima Lucha will take place in The Temple in six weeks. He reminds us that Brock Lesnar, if he remains the Mash-Up World Heavyweight Champion, will defend the title against Samoa Joe, and “Macho King” Randy Savage will face Eddie Guerrero in a grudge match. To make this event more special, another match will be the finals of the Battle of the Bulls tournament. He explains that, in two weeks, sixteen luchadors will compete in four fatal fourway matches. The winners of those matches will advance to the finals at Ultima Lucha, where the winner of the tournament will win a “unique opportunity.”
Finally, Cueto needs to deal with a very important issue – last week’s theft of the Lucha Underground Championship. Cueto says that he has negotiated with Chris Jericho to have the belt returned to its proper owner in exchange for a title match at Ultima Lucha. The Believers jeer this decision. Cueto calls on Jericho to come to the ring to give him the title belt in exchange for a copy of the match contract that he pulls out of his suit coat pocket.
Jericho comes out and turns the title over to Cueto and takes the match contract. Cueto thanks him for returning the belt and then tells him that there are a few catches – the Lucha Underground Championship match at Ultima Lucha will be a triple threat match between Cesaro, Ultimo Dragon and Chris Jericho! And because Cueto is tired of seeing the three of them feuding over the Championship, it will be Ultimo Dragon and Chris Jericho’s last chances to win it. There will be only one pinfall or submission. Whoever gets it will win the championship, whoever loses but is not pinned will not get another title match for one year, and whoever is pinned or submits will be banished from The Temple forever!
Jericho hates this announcement and grabs Cueto by the lapels, but Cesaro and Ultimo Dragon run out, causing Jericho to flee from the ring. Cesaro gets his title back and he and Ultimo Dragon look each other over for a moment before shaking hands and wishing each other good luck.

VS.
La Parka, Shinsuke Nakamura, Mil Muertes, Baron Corbin, and Psicosis defeated Fénix, Kurt Angle, Rey Mysterio Jr., Prince Puma, and Matt Sydal by pinfall.
With ten luchadors in this match, the action remained at a fast pace throughout the bout. The main story in this bout was Mil Muertes’ desire to get his hands on Rey Mysterio Jr., and Rey’s refusal to backdown from his deadly adversary. Rey did well to defend himself and to put Mil Muertes on the defensive in their first encounter in the match, but their next encounter didn’t go so well for him, as it happened out of the floor after Rey hit a springboard corkscrew plancha into a pile of luachdors. Mil Muertes was not one of them. He came over, grabbed Rey and flung him into the rows of wooden seats at ringside. Mil Muertes continued to assault him all around ringside and eventually left Mysterio laid out cold with a Flatliner delivered on one of the hardwood bleachers.
There was plenty of high flying action to keep the fans entertained, as Psicosis, Fénix, La Parka, Matt Sydal, and Prince Puma taking to the air. Even Kurt Angle went to the top rope to attempt a moonsault onto La Parka, but he missed. La Parka, for his part, lived up to his billing as the “Chairman of Lucha Underground,” serving up chair shots to all his opponents. He went overboard and continued doling them out to his teammates before receiving the Trident’s spear from Mil Muertes, sending them both crashing into the ringside seats. Corbin went on a tear at one point, putting Fénix, Sydal and Prince Puma down one after the other with the End of Days. His rampage ended when Angle gave him an Angle Slam.
The end of the match came after a series of finishers were hit, starting with Sydal giving Psicosis the Shooting Sydal Press. The pin was broken up by Mil Muertes, who gave him a Flatliner. He was unable to pin him, as Fénix stunned him with a superkick and then gave him a slingshot back handspring cutter. Fénix was knocked out right after that when he charged at Corbin, who scooped him up and dropped him with the Deep Six. Corbin’s pinfall was broken up by Angle, who pulled Corbin off of Fénix with an ankle lock. He held onto Corbin’s ankle and locked it in tight, and as he kneeled into the hold to apply more pressure, Shinsuke Nakamura lined him up for the Bomaye and knocked him out cold with it. He pinned Angle for the 3-count to collect the win for his team.
