At the beginning of the show, Dario Cueto is meeting with Psicosis and La Parka in his office. He tells them that what the Heenan Family did to them to take their Trios Championships title shot away was unfair to them, so he is giving them a chance to win the Trios Championships tonight. Unfortunately, last week, someone attacked Pentagon Jr. in the locker room and put him in the hospital. He assures them that he is looking into it. In the meantime, they have until after the first match of the night to find a new partner or else they’ll have to compete down a man.
When Psicosis and La Parka leave, Bad News Brown walks in. Dario Cueto tells him that if he’s looking for a rematch against the Heenan Family, he can’t have it unless he teams with Psicosis and La Parka because he just gave them a title shot tonight. Brown tells Cueto that he’s not interested. He says that he can’t trust others to pull their own weight. But he did come here in search of gold. He wants to be a champion again and the only belt he hasn’t held is the Lucha Underground Championship. He wants that belt and he wants it now. Cueto tells him that he can’t do that because Cesaro is already defending his title, tonight. But what he can do for him is give him an opportunity to win one of the Seven Ancient Aztec Medallions tonight. Brown grudgingly accepts.

Cesaro defeated “Darewolf” PJ Black by pinfall. PJ Black was impressive, giving Cesaro a corkscrew plancha and a diving hurricanrana on the outside of the ring. Back on the inside, he got some near falls with a springboard crossbody, springboard moonsault and a springboard DDT. He came closest to winning the match when he executed a crucifix cutter on Cesaro. However, the Swiss Superman kept coming back and came close to winning after executing rolling gutwrench suplexes, a springboard corkscrew European uppercut and a superplex from the ring apron into the ring. Black kicked out of all of those moves. In the end, Cesaro was able to execute the Neutralizer to get the win.

Ultimo Dragon defeated Bad News Brown by pinfall to win one of the Seven Ancient Aztec Medallions. The match was evenly contested through the first 6 minutes until Ultimo Dragon was going through his Dragon Combo. Upon finishing the shoot kicks, he went for a spinning thrust kick to end it, but Brown grabbed him and through him across the ring with a release German suplex. About a minute later, Brown had Ultimo Dragon out on the floor and slammed his face off the fencing of the high-rise stands, then the turnbuckle post and gave him a snap suplex on the floor. When Brown got up, he was nailed with a running clothesline from his former trios partner, Baron Corbin. The “Lone Wolf” had the sea of fans at ringside part before giving Brown a running hip toss onto the wooden bleachers. Corbin and Brown fought throughout the bleacher section, moving from one side to the other. Dean Ambrose was spotted on top of Dario Cueto’s office. He ran and jumped at them. Brown moved out of the way, causing Corbin to take the full brunt of Ambrose’s diving elbow drop into the bleachers. Brown came back down to ringside where he was met by Ultimo Dragon, who gave him an Asai moonsault. Ultimo Dragon rolled Brown into the ring, then climbed the turnbuckle and executed a diving hurricanrana with a cradle to get the win. Ultimo Dragon collected his Aztec Medallion and decided to leave as Ambrose came into the ring and attacked Brown. He gave Brown the Dirty Deeds DDT. Immediately after that, Ambrose was met with a big boot from Corbin, who then gave him the End of Days. Corbin spat on both of his former trios partners before leaving the ring.

Bayley and Sexy Star are in the Lucha Underground locker room having a chat. Bayley tells Sexy Star that when she gets a one-on-one match against Awesome Kong for the Luchadoras Championship, she’s going to beat her. Not for revenge, but to give every little girl in the world a positive example of how bravery can overcome the fear and intimidation of bullies and mean girls. Sexy Star gives her some encouraging words but warns her that Awesome Kong is no ordinary opponent. If she was, Sexy Star would still be the Luchadoras Champion. Paige enters the scene and mocks both of them. The scene ends with Paige challenging Bayley to prove to her what her bravery can do in a match next week. Bayley accepts. Paige gets the last word by telling her that she’ll regret it.

Vader, Arn Anderson & Tully Blanchard defeated La Parka, Psicosis & Samoa Joe by pinfall. Psicosis and La Parka found the winner of Aztec Warfare to work with them as their trios partner in this contest for the Trios Championships. Unfortunately, adding Joe to their team did not get them the win. Joe’s involvement in the match was certainly felt by the champions as he gave Blanchard a St-Joe Slam and planted Anderson into the mat with a Samoan drop. However, Joe found that he had his hands full with Vader. They engaged in one hell of a brawl inside and out of the ring. First, Vader cleared the sea of fans to throw Joe into the wooden seats at ringside to the right of one of the arena entrances. Later, it was Vader’s turn to get whipped into the wooden seats at ringside to the left of the entrance. At one point, Psicosis nearly picked up the win for his team, executing a springboard corkscrew senton on Anderson, but Blanchard broke up the pin and gave him a slingshot suplex. The Chairman of the Temple would answer that by introducing Blanchard’s face to a chair, but he would have the chair go flying out of his hands when Anderson picked him up for a Double-A Spinebuster! While Joe and Vader were still brawling outside of the ring, Anderson and Blanchard ended the match by giving Psicosis a spike piledriver. Blanchard pinned him for the win while Anderson took down La Parka with a football tackle.

Tyler Breeze defeated Eddie Guerrero by pinfall to win the last of the Seven Ancient Aztec Medallions. Most people would not expect Breeze to defeat Guerrero in a clean bout and they would be right. Breeze got an assist from an unlikely source. Although Breeze had control of the match at times, he was generally fighting from a position of defence as Guerrero outmatched him in all aspects of lucha libre. After Guerrero gave him the Three Amigos, he started climbing the turnbuckle. It was at that time that another figure was seen climbing the opposite turnbuckle. The fans in attendance rose to their feet and the place went silent out of the shock of surprise. Guerrero nailed the frog splash on Breeze, but then he got a diving double axehandle smash to the back of the head. At this point the building erupted as everyone now saw that the man standing in the middle of the ring was none other than the “Macho Man” Randy Savage.
He sat on Guerrero and pounded away at him for a little bit before throwing him out to the floor. Then, in a moment that made the fans in attendance break out in a loud “Holy shit!” chant, Savage grabbed Guerrero and threw him head first through Dario Cueto’s office window! The camera panned in to see Cueto sitting at his desk with a look of shock on his face that quickly turned to a sinister grin. At this point, Savage walked out of the Temple. Breeze took advantage of the situation. He went out and pulled Guerrero’s torso back through the shattered window pane. Guerrero’s face was covered in blood. Breeze brought him into the ring and gave him the Unprettier. 1-2-3!
“Macho Man” Randy Savage is here!
