Awesome Kong & Paige defeated Bayley & Sexy Star, Ivelisse & Beth Phoenix and Charlotte Flair & Victoria by pinfall when Awesome Kong pinned Bayley. With four teams competing to score one fall to win the match, it was very difficult to try to register a pinfall. It took most combatants getting knocked down and out for a pinfall not to get broken up. Ivelisse and Beth Phoenix had obvious problems staying on the same page. They did not co-operate very well. They eventually got into a fight, which led to Ivelisse giving Phoenix a Desert Eagle sunset flip powerbomb. Flair took advantage by putting her in the Figure Eight, but Bayley broke it up. Later on, Sexy Star performed a diving crossbody from the top turnbuckle onto Ivelisse, Victoria and Flair, which took them all out. This opened the door for Awesome Kong and Paige to win the match. After Bayley rolled away from a senton bomb attempt by Kong, Paige pulled her off the ring apron and executed a Ram-Paige DDT on the floor! She rolled Bayley into the ring and Awesome Kong gave her a chokeslam and then won the match by kneeling over Bayley and placing a hand on her chest as a pin.

Dean Ambrose walks into the Lucha Underground training room where we see Heath Slater finishing some pullups. They meet and exchange a few words. Slater reveals that Dario Cueto has “rewarded” him with a match against Mil Muertes for the role he played in last week’s handicap match. Ambrose wishes Slater good luck before he leaves the room. Then, Ambrose tapes up his fists and starts working on a punching bag. That’s when he is grabbed from behind and has his head rammed into the punching bag. Bad News Brown strikes again! Just as he did to Baron Corbin last week, Brown expresses his displeasure with Ambrose over the fact that he cost them the Trios Championships. He does this as he beats Ambrose around, finishing his attack by driving Ambrose’s head into a celing-to-floor mirror, smashing it to pieces, and then bodyslamming Ambrose into the broken shards of the mirror.

Prince Puma defeated Juventud Guerrera by pinfall to win one of the Seven Ancient Aztec Medallions. This was Guerrera’s Lucha Underground debut. He was as impressive as he was reckless, hitting Prince Puma with a tope suicida and then a moonsault from the ring apron onto him. Prince Puma battled back and both men traded the advantage a few times. Dragon Rojo Jr. nearly won the match after he executed a pumphandle sit-out facebuster, but Prince Puma got a shoulder up on the pin. Guerrera appeared to be going for a buckle bomb when Prince Puma countered with a hurricanrana that sent Guerrera’s head into the turnbuckles. Afterwards, Prince Puma lifted him onto his shoulders and executed a Benadryller. Then, he climbed the turnbuckle and nailed a 630-degree senton bomb on him to end it.

Mil Muertes defeated Heath Slater by pinfall. Slater is the sentimental favourite and the clear underdog. He doesn’t fair well here. He manages to execute the Smash Hit DDT as a counter to a back body drop set up. He even went for the pin, but Mil Muertes kicked out at two. Slater tried to follow it up with a jumping neckbreaker, but failed to pull him off his feet. It was unfortunate for Slater because he was immediately nailed with a stiff lariat. Mil Muertes executed a few more moves before finally finishing him off with the deadly combination of the Reaper’s Trident (spear) followed by the Flatliner.

Chris Jericho defeated Aerostar by pinfall to win one of the Seven Ancient Aztec Medallions. Jericho was originally scheduled to compete against Pentagon Jr.. However, Pentagon Jr. failed to show up after his name was twice announced. Jericho was declared the winner by forfeit, but Dario Cueto came out and said that he would not allow this show to end like that. The fans paid for a main event and Dario Cueto promises to give them their money’s worth. He allows anyone who wants it to take Pentagon Jr.’s spot in the match, which is when Aerostar makes his unannounced return from injury. Aerostar is the clear fan favourite and he keeps the fans on his side by giving Jericho a tope con hilo, a no hands tope and a springboard reverse tope. However, Jericho used his crafty veteran instincts to overcome Aerostar’s offence and win the match with some underhanded moves that led to him executing a Codebreaker for the win.
