NWA Championship Wrestling from TBS Studios

The program kicks off in front of the classic NWA logo behind the studio desk with the announcing trio of Joey Styles, Les Thatcher & Mike Tenay. They welcome the fans to the first hour of the two-hour NWA program from Atlanta, Georgia. Joey tells the fans to kick off the show that we have new United States Tag Team Champions in the Minnesota Wrecking Crew - Gene & Ole Anderson. They won the belts last night (June 19) in the Checkerdome in St. Louis beating the Motor City Machine Guns. The Anderson's will also be in action today.
Les presents the video of the final minutes of that United States Tag Team Title match from last night. Before a sell out crowd, the Andersons worked used their patented hammerlock to injure the shoulder of Chris Sabin who was forced to submit last night. Thatcher follows up with a taped interview with the former champs as Chris is getting his shoulder getting attended to in the locker toom.
We return to the desk with Mike talking with manager James J. Dillon about the Four Horsemen winning the United States Tag Team Belts. It's a start to regaining the World Tag Team Belts from 'Bruiser' Brody & Stan 'Lariat' Hansen.

We go to the ring with smoking hot Mike McGuirk for our first match of the first hour.
Styles interviews manager Terri Runnels who announces she has signed contracts to manage as wrestling superstars Curtis Axel & Shane Douglas.
Single Match. Curtis Axel w/mgr. Terri Runnels & Shane Douglas takes a win from the masked Blue Demon Jr. with the perfect plex. (7:32).

Four Man Tag Team Match. The 'Wild Eyed' Southern Boys (Tracey Smotherns & Steve Armstrong) beat Simon Diamond & Johnny Swiinger when Steve used a Russian leg sweep on Simon. (8:29).

4 Man Tag Team Match. Abdullah the Butcher & The Original Sheik w/mgr. 'Playboy' Gary Hart destroyed Brian Lee & Sam Houston. (5:41). Sheik submitted Sam with the camel clutch.

Ladies SIngles Match. MsChif over Kanako Motoya with the Code Green. (8:11).

Worlds's TV Title Match. (Champ): Buddy Rogers w/James J. Dillon submitted Cyclone Negro with the figure-four leg lock. (9:44). Negro was knocked out of the ring. While Rogers distracted the referee Brian Hilderbrand, Dillon pounded Negro's leg with the chair. J.J. rolled Cyclone back into the ring where Buddy slapped on his patent submission hold for the brutal win.

Second Hour Matches/Interviews
Single Match. Shane Douglas w/mgr. Terri Runnlels & Curtis Axel beat Bob Armstrong with the belly-to-bell suplex. (8:17). Douglas got an assist from Axel who used Runnel's high heel to hit Bob in the back of the head when he was in the ring ropes.

Non-title Singles Match. United States Heavyweight Champ 'Dirty' Dusty Rhodes won by referees decision over a bloody Lex Luger who was ruled unable to continue by official Dave Hebner. (5:55).

Mixed Tag Team Match. NWA World's Junior Heavyweight Champion Masahiro Chono & Women's World's Champion Asuka w/mgr. Sonny Onoo went to a time limit draw with United States Jr. Heavyweight Champ Ken Lucas & United States Women's Champion Serena Deeb. (10:00).
