The opening segment of tonight’s show sees the Cesaro Section taking over The Titans of Grand Prix. Cesaro leads a few hundred members of the Cesaro Section down to the ring and announces that the Cesaro Section is taking over the show and will not allow any of tonight’s proceedings to continue unless Dario Cueto grants him a match for the International Heavyweight Championship at Journey to Greatness. To ensure that he gets the maximum brownie points with the throngs of fans in tonight’s capacity crowd, Cesaro makes a point of saying, “whether it is Ric Flair… or Leo Burke!” (Burke is due to have a title match tonight, in this, his hometown). Dario Cueto orders security remove Cesaro and the protesters from his ring, but they outnumber the security officials. They give up and leave Cueto to deal with the problem himself. Since it is clear that tonight’s history Titans in AGPW’s capital city will not go on without Cueto granting the title match that Cesaro, his fans, and many pundits believe he deserves, Cueto grants him his match. The building erupts in cheers. Cesaro will compete for the International Heavyweight Championship at Journey to Greatness 2016! However, will it be against the current champion, “Nature Boy” Ric Flair or will it be against the heart and soul of AGPW, Moncton’s own, Leo Burke? Find out next!

International Heavyweight Championship Title Match
"Nature Boy" Ric Flair vs. Leo Burke
International Heavyweight Championship Title Match
"Nature Boy" Ric Flair vs. Leo Burke
Leo Burke defeated “Nature Boy” Ric Flair to become the new International Heavyweight Champion! He won the match by pinfall when he kept Flair’s shoulders on the mat for a 3-count by using a small package. Flair came into the match overconfident that he would win, claiming that Burke’s best days had obviously passed him by. However, building off of his intense match against Dean Malenko from one week before, Burke showed the heart of a champion, refusing to give up to the figure four leglock twice, once scratching and clawing his way to a rope break, and a second time by reversing the pressure on Flair and forcing him to make a rope break. However, Flair proved to be every bit the champion. While he was at times surprised by the fight in Burke, but he kept pace with him, kicking out of a bridging German suplex, a fisherman’s suplex and the bridging dragon suplex that won him this title match. Flair’s frustrations led him to resort to classic dirty tactics like hair pulls, eye rakes and a blind mule kick. He also tried to win by pinning Burke with his feet on the middle rope, but none of it worked. Finally, Flair went for a school-boy roll-up and a handful of tights, but Burke even kicked out of that. When Flair went to grab Burke, he was pulled into a small package for the 1…2…3!

The Vachon Brothers vs. Batista & Samoa Joe
The Vachon Brothers vs. Batista & Samoa Joe
Samoa Joe & Batista defeated the Vachon Brothers by pinfall when Samoa Joe pinned Butcher Vachon. The pinfall came after Joe executed a Muscle Buster on the larger of the two Vachon Brothers. He executed that move after Batista speared him. Prior to taking out the Butcher, Joe gave Mad Dog Vachon a German suplex followed by a dragon suplex followed by an X-plex, all of which was followed by Batista executing a Batista Bomb on him. Samoa Joe and Batista absolutely annihilated the legendary tandem, much to Sensational Sherri’s delight, and they appear to be ready to take the North American Tag Team Titles away from Edge & Christian at Journey to Greatness 2016!

Dario Cueto enters “Nature Boy” Ric Flair’s locker room. He expresses his displeasure and disgust at the Mash-Up Wrestling’s World Heavyweight Champion and top draw in all of the Mash-Up Wrestling Universe losing the match. Cueto is trying to promote the biggest wrestling event that Canada has ever seen and now the company’s major title will be contested in an “unmarketable” main event between Leo Burke and Cesaro. Flair tells Cueto that the referee made a fast count, that Cesaro cheated and that everyone knows the “Nature Boy” is the better man. Flair tells him to give him a chance to make it right, tonight. He’s entitled to a rematch as the former champion, so he says he should give it to him now! He’ll guarantee that all of the advertising that has promoted Flair defend two titles in one night won’t be for not. He’ll beat Leo Burke to give him the shortest championship reign ever and send his hometown fans home disappointed. Cueto says he’ll give him the match and tells him that he better not let him down or else he’ll never wrestle again. Flair laughs at that last comment. Cueto looks at him dead in the eye and tells him that he possesses a power of unbridled violence the likes of which no one has ever seen and that if he loses, he’ll learn the hard way that these are not just empty words.

Bayley vs. Charlotte Flair
Bayley vs. Charlotte Flair
The match between Charlotte Flair and Bayley, which was reschedule after it failed to happen last week, once again failed to take place. With Bayley waiting in the ring, Flair came out, but stopped at the entrance and gave a short speech about how Bayley doesn’t deserve to have a match with her because she failed to show up the week before. In fact, Flair thinks that nobody deserves to have a match with her at all and so she walks out. With Flair leaving, Bayley takes a microphone and says that she’s not upset that she’s gone. Last week, she was brutally attacked by Awesome Kong and she wouldn’t let that unprovoked attack go unanswered. Bayley refuses to be pushed around and so she wants to challenge Awesome Kong to a match right here, right now!

Bayley vs. Awesome Kong
Bayley vs. Awesome Kong
Awesome Kong defeated Bayley by pinfall after giving her an Awesome Bomb. Bayley put up the most spirited fight that she has ever displayed in an AGPW ring. She refused to back down, struck first, and later, mounted a comeback that looked like it might win her the match. Unfortunately, Awesome Kong put a stop to the comeback when Bayley decided to go for a high risk maneuver, but Kong lunged into the ropes and then took Bayley to the mat with a superplex. After that, she gave Bayley a chokeslam, which Bayley kicked out of. However, after that, she gave her the Awesome Bomb and pinned her. After winning, Kong decided that she wasn’t through with Bayley. She put the boots to her and gave her another chokeslam. Then, Kong started climbing the turnbuckle to give her an Awesome Splash. However, Trish Stratus, Chyna and Natalya Neidhart ran down and stood in her way. Furious, Kong dove off the top rope anyhow, but Stratus dropkicked her! Then, Gail Kim, Nia Jax and Paige showed up and the brawl was on. When the brawl was broken up and the show came back from commercial break, Ed Whalen announced that an 8-woman tag team match between Stratus, Neidhart, Chyna & Bayley and Kim, Jax, Paige and Kong was signed for Journey to Greatness 2016. Which team will come out on top? Tune in this coming weekend to find out!

Dario Cueto comes to the ring to reveal the meaning behind the Ancient Aztec Medallions that have been handed out over recent weeks. He says that each medallion represents one of the seven ancient Aztec tribes and the luchador who holds all seven of the medallions will become more powerful than each of the seven tribes combined. Together, the seven Ancient Aztec Medallions form what he likes to call the Gift of the Gods.
The Gift of the Gods is a championship title belt containing seven unique medallion plates. Cueto says that the holder of the Gift of the Gods belt can trade this belt in for a shot at the International Heavyweight Championship at any time. However, the Gift of the Gods champion will also have to defend it, periodically. So who will the first Gift of the Gods champion be? At Journey to Greatness 2016, there will be a 7-person ladder match. The luchador who climbs the ladder and retrieves the belt will be declared the first Gift of the Gods champion. To participate in this match, all you have to have is one of the seven Ancient Aztec Medallions. Cueto invites all of the medallion holders to come to the ring and place their medallions in the belt to claim their spot in the match.
One-by-one, each of the seven Ancient Aztec Medallion holders enters the arena: Rey Mysterio Jr., Bad News Brown, Shinsuke Nakamura, Pentagon Jr., Baron Corbin, Ultimo Dragon and the Blue Blazer. After each of the medallions has been placed in the belt, Cueto tells them all that we’ll see them in the Gift of the Gods match at Journey to Greatness 2016, and then exits the ring while saying, “Good luck!” Of course, throwing seven rivals into the ring at the same time could not go down without all hell breaking loose. Pentagon Jr. immediately attacks the Blue Blazer. Mysterio and Ultimo Dragon try to break it up, but then Brown and Corbin start decking everyone in sight. A brawl breaks out, which leads to the ring filling up with AGPW officials and Moncton Coliseum security personnel. Who will hold the Gift of the Gods? Tune into Journey to Greatness 2016 to find out!

Rhino vs. Tyson Kidd
Rhino vs. Tyson Kidd
Fourth Match: Tyson Kidd defeated Rhino by pinfall after he executed the Blockbuster on him. Kidd used some underhanded tactics to gain an early advantage, but Rhino fought back with some high impact power moves. Kidd quickly lost momentum, and nearly the entire match. However, when Rhino prepared to give him the GORE, Kidd had the presence of mind to pull the referee into the way, causing Rhino to put on the breaks. That enabled Kidd to take Rhino down with a spinning heel kick and then a front dropkick to the side of the head. After that, he climbed to the top rope and executed his finisher.

Edge & Christian vs. The Fabulous Rougeau Brothers
Edge & Christian defeated the Fabulous Rougeau Brothers by pinfall when Christian pinned Raymond Rougeau. The pinfall came after Edge gave him an electric chair drop and tagged Christian in. He climbed to the top rope and executed a frog splash on him, while Edge hit Jacques Rougeau with a spear to prevent him from breaking up the pinfall. Edge & Christian looked wonderful during their win and appear ready to defend their North American Tag Team Titles against Samoa Joe & Batista at Journey to Greatness 2016!

Charlotte Flair enters Dario Cueto’s office and asks why he called her here and then she sees that Sexy Star is already there sitting down. Flair demands to know what she is doing here. Cueto tells her that he called the both of them there to tell them that he has decided to give Sexy Star another match against Flair for the AGPW Women’s Championship at Journey to Greatness 2016. Flair protests, but Cueto says that he made this decision because, last week, Sexy Star proved that she was willing to fight for what she wanted and showed that she has no quit in her. However, as the Women’s Champion, Flair has not showed the same thing lately. He wonders if she still has the fighting spirit of a champion and so to find out whether she does, he says that this won’t be any ordinary match. It will be a “No Mas” match. They will fight until one of them says, “No Mas,” giving up both the match and the title, and conceded that the other woman has more fighting spirit than she does.

André The Giant & Bret Hart vs. Big Van Vader & Chris Jericho
André The Giant & Bret Hart vs. Big Van Vader & Chris Jericho
André The Giant and Bret “The Hitman” Hart defeated Big Van Vader and Chris Jericho by submission when Hart put Jericho in the Sharpshooter and forced him to tap out. This match served to promote and tease a pair of upcoming marquee match ups at Journey to Greatness 2016. André started the match with Vader and their brief encounter got people wondering what will happen when it is just the two of them alone in the ring. André tagged out. Hart came in and eventually played the face in peril. Hart and Jericho never really locked up in the match, as Jericho always came in to do some damage and then tag out to let Vader do even more damage. Eventually, Hart knocked Vader off of the top rope and gave him a missile dropkick, which allowed him to make the hot tag. André ran over Vader. Jericho tagged himself in and caught André off guard with a missile dropkick and a quick Codebreaker. However, it failed to bring André off of his feet. Jericho went for it again, but André shoved him away and then ran Jericho over with a big boot. A couple of nasty open palm slap chops to the chest and a chokeslam were enough to do Jericho in. André would tag out just before getting attacked by Vader. While Vader and André would go over the top rope to the floor and then keep brawling, Hart came into the ring and applied the Sharpshooter to pick up the win. Will Hart do it again and force Jericho to leave town or will Jericho be better served in a one-on-one contest and force Hart out of AGPW? And who will win the No Countout match between André The Giant and Big Van Vader, and then go on to challenge Ric Flair for the Mash-Up World Heavyweight Championship in the main event of Journey to Greatness 2016? You’ll have to tune into the show to find!

Whose corner will Miss Elizabeth be in when
the AGPW Mega Powers explode at Journey to Greatness 2016?
Miss Elizabeth is with Jeremy Borash on the AGPW entrance set. The whole world wants to know whose corner she will be in when the AGPW Mega Powers explode at Journey to Greatness 2016! Borash asks the question. Of course, she stalls, saying that it was a difficult decision. Finally, Borash asks her to answer yes or no whether she will be in the corner the Olympic Gold Medalist, Kurt Angle. Before she can respond, “Macho Man” Randy Savage interrupts and says that it is obvious that Miss Elizabeth wants to be in the corner of greatness. She wants to be in the winning corner, which is why she’s going to choose the Macho Man. He tells her to go ahead and tell him. Borash asks if she’ll be in the corner of Kurt Angle and she says, “No.” The Macho Man gloats. However, to cover all bases, Borash asks her if she’ll be in the Macho Man’s corner and she replies, “No.” The Macho Man gets angry and tells her that she’s out of line. Before anything bad can happen, Kurt Angle shows up and says that the only reason he doesn’t take the Macho Man’s head off right now is because he has more respect for his manager than that. The Macho Man is so angry and embarrassed that he runs after Angle after he has gone back stage. Miss Elizabeth looks distraught. She’ll be at ringside in a neutral corner. Who will she end up supporting in the end? Angle or Savage? Or could she remain neutral as the AGPW Mega Powers explode? Tune into Journey to Greatness 2016 to find out!

International Heavyweight Championship Title Match
Leo Burke vs. “Nature Boy” Ric Flair
International Heavyweight Championship Title Match
Leo Burke vs. “Nature Boy” Ric Flair
“Nature Boy” Ric Flair defeated Leo Burke by pinfall to become the first 2-time International Heavyweight Champion in AGPW history. Like earlier in the evening, Burke showed a ton of heart and he came out fired up and ready to defend his newly won championship. Flair was on the defensive for so long, but the dirtiest player in the game has quite a few tricks up his sleeves, and he brought every one of them into play. None of them worked, however, until he got Burke on the outside of the ring and rammed his head into the turnbuckle post, cutting him open. Flair zeroed in on the open wound and drove his knuckles into Burke’s forehead as often as he could. Flair eventually tried a figure four, but Burke crawled to the ropes. Later, Flair to a boot to the face when charging at Burke and then a hard clothesline. This began a late match comeback for the champion. However, a double reversed whip ended up taking out the referee. Flair was given a bridging dragon suplex, but with the referee knocked out, Burke couldn’t win the match. When Burke checked on the referee, Flair went out to grab a chair and returned to the ring to nail him with it. However, Burke saw him coming and knocked the chair out of his hands. While Flair begged for leniency, Burke’s arch nemesis, “Killer” Karl Krupp, showed up and started whipping Burke with his riding crop. A double team ensued, ending with Krupp applying the Iron Claw. Cesaro ran in and took care of Krupp, but got a low blow from behind by Flair, who then threw him out of the ring. At that point, Flair revived the referee and made the cover. 1…2…3! Flair regained the title that he only lost about 90 minutes before. After getting the belt back, he quickly made a break for the exits with trash raining down on him. He will now have to defend it against Cesaro at Journey to Greatness 2016! Not only that, but he’ll have to put the Mash-Up Wrestling World Heavyweight Championship on the line against Big Van Vader or André The Giant, too! Will the dirtiest player in the game still be a double champion after June 19? Tune into Journey to Greatness 2016 to find out!
Ric Flair is once again the AGPW International Heavyweight Champion!
