NWA Championship Wrestling from TBS Studios

The program kicks off in front of the classic NWA logo behind the studio desk with the announcing trio of Joey Styles, Les Thatcher & Mike Tenay. They welcome the fans to the first hour of the two-hour NWA program from Atlanta, Georgia. The trio talk a special appearance today of the MSD World's Heavyweight Champion 'Nature Boy' Ric Flair who is going to talk about defending his title on the big Chicago card this Friday night at the United Center.
Before the start of today's matches, Joey, Les & Mike bring out 'the sensational masked man from parts unknown The Spoiler. They ask him if he is the newest bounty hunter to try to put out 'Cowboy' Bill Watts for the $25,000 bounty James J. Dillon. Spoiler said he is here to do a favor for an old friend & if he makes some money on the side - it's even better. Besides Watts is an old rival of his & the masked man is looking for some revenge.
First Hour Matches/Interviews
We go to the ring with lovely Mike McGuirk for our first match of the first hour.
Singles Match. 'Crippler' Chris Benoit debuts & submits Gunner with crippler crossface. (6:39).

Single Women's Match. Serena Deeb pinned Taryn Terrell following the spear. (8:43).
After the match, Joey presents taped interviews with 'Captain Redneck' Dick Murdoch & 'Dirty' Dusty Rhodes about their Lights Out Match this Friday night in Chicago. Both men vow to destroy the other one.

Non-title singles match. NWA World's Junior Heavyweight Champion Masahiro Chono w/mgr. Sonny Onoo pinned Chase Owens following a brutal kick to the temple. (5:41).
After the match, Onoo is joined by Les ringside. Onoo claims the NWA World Tag Team Champions The Anderson Brothers are afraid of his Asian Assassins (Genichiro Tenryu & Jumbo Tsuruta). He says this is the third time he has called them out & will be the last. If they do not respond, he will not be responsible for what happens to the Andersons.

Return Challenge Four Man Tag Team Match. The Fantastics (Bobby Fulton & Tommy Rogers) w/mgr. Tammy Sytch steal a win over The Rock n Roll Express (Ricky Morton & Robert Gibson) when Fulton usages Sytch's handbag to ko Morton. (9:01).

Before the beginning of the match, Missy Hyatt & Kerry Von Erich who is the current World's TV champion. Les asks again Hyatt why her champion is defending the title against a men with more losses than wins in the NWA. This brings out Scott Hall who dares prissy sissy Kerry boy to get into the ring & defend the belt against a real man. Despite Missy's pleas, Kerry tells Scott to bring it on in the ring.
NWA World's TV Title Match. (Champ): Kerry Von Erich w/mgr. Missy Hyatt wins by count out over (Chall): Scott Hall who was sparyed in the eyes by Hyatt's spray & blinded. Hall fell out of the ring screaming & was helped back to the dressing room by Lex Luger. (6:10).

Second Hour Matches/Interviews
Before the start of the first match of the second hour, Styles talks with James J. Dillon & NWA World's Heavyweight Champion 'The Original Nature Boy' Buddy Rogers about MSD World's Heavyweight Champion 'Nature Boy' Ric Flair being in the TBS studio today. Rogers said the second rate copy cat Ric Flair is going to face him this Friday night in Chicago, the place where he defeated Pat O'Conner for the NWA Title a few years ago. Buddy Rogers says he is going to make history again in Chicago this Friday night at the United Center.
This brings out Ric Flair much to the ire of Buddy Rogers. Ric tells Buddy you were lucky when you beat O'Conner but you won't be lucky against the MSD World's Champ. Then, Buddy challenges Ric to a non-title match on today's show to give the fans a taste of what it's going to be like in Chicago Friday night. Flair is hesitant but comes up with a stipulation. Rogers will not have J.J. or any of the Four Horsemen ringside during the match. J.J. doesn't like it but Buddy tells him it will be ok. Ric gets his stipulation.
Four Man Tag Team Match. Demolition (Axe & Smash) crush Simon Diamond & Johnny Swinger with the Demolition Decapatation on Swinger. (6 :42).
Following the match, Demolition has strong words for the NWA World Tag Team Champs The Anderson Brothers as well as the Rock N Roll Express, The Assassins, Brody & Hansen & the Heavenly Bodies. You are looking at the next World Tag Team Champs!

Single Match. Goldberg crushes Mark Pyle with the jackhammer for the pin. (2:11).
Following the match, Les is backstage as Scott Halll is taken away in the ambulance with his eyes heavily bandaged. Lex Luger & Ken Shamrock are there & they don't know what Missy sprayed in Scott' eyes but it looks bad right now.
Back at the desk, Hyatt is with David & Kevin Von Erich bragging about blinding smelly Scott Hall & how he is going to be selling pencils on the corner. The Von Erichs are whopping it up & that is all Luger & Shamrock need. They charge from backstage to ringside & attack the Von Erichs with Hyatt running back to the dressing room to get Kerry.
Unscheduled Four Man Tag Team Match. Lex Luger & Ken Shamrock no contest' with David & Kevin Von Erich in a quick brawl that brings in Kerry followed by previous TV champ Brian Pillman who gets some punches in on the NWA World's TV Champ before they hi tail it back to the dressing room.

Before the beginning of the next match, Dillion joins the announcing team at the desk to address Sonny Onoo's absurd accusations. J.J. says the Asain Assassins have got their match, this Friday night in Chicago's United Center. And the champs are not in a good mood so the challengers have been warned.
Non-title single match. NWA World's Women's Champ Asuka w/mgr. Sonny Onoo submitted Tessa Blanchard. (6:11).

$25,000 Bounty Match offered by James J. Dillon to anyone who can put out Bill Watts. The Spoiler 'defeated a bloody 'Cowboy' Bill Watts with the Claw, helped by a prematch attack by 'Playboy' Gary Hart's stable of the Sheik & Abdulla the Butcher on Watts on his way to the ring. Chief Wahoo McDaniel, Danny Hodge & Dick Murdoch came ringside to help Watts back to the dressing room after the match. (6:35).

Challenge Single Match. 'The Original Nature Boy' Buddy Rogers won over MSD World's Heavyweight Champion 'Nature Boy' Ric Flair after J.J. snuck down to ringside & held Flair's legs down under the bottom ring rope so he could not kick out of the pin. (8:01). Flair was furious after the loss as NWA World Tag Team Champs Gene & Ole Anderson with the Miz join Buddy w.J.J. ringside to celebrate the win.
On his way past the announcers table, Flair says Dillon is a dead man.
Joey, Les, Mike (Tenay) & Mike (McGuirk) wrap up today's show reminding the fans to tune in next week for highlights from Friday night's Chicago Show.
