"Pre-Show"Mil Muertes (2016) vs. Abyss (2006) (Barbed Wire Death Match) w/ vs. This match is an Online Xclusive, and just a few moments (and bloody weapons) into the match you quickly see why. ECW! XPW Remixed! TNA Hardcore! CZW Extreme! It's all here in violent shades. Torturous match that climaxes with another bone-jarring & chilling Mil Muertes victory. Alongside his mistress Catrina, Muertes has ravaged "Professor" Sheldon Goldberg's menagerie of Monsters and helped drive them back into the ruins. Happy Valentines Day from BCCW! From the City of Brotherly Love!
It's the official "MBV2016" Kick-off show to the PPV! ** Video Intro / Commentator Summary / MAIN EVENT Hype / Cut 2 the Ring!! **Beat Down Clan vs. Houston Heat (Falls Count Anywhere in Philly) versus Entrance & Theme of TNA BDC (circa 2015). Spearheaded by their main mouthpiece (and former crooked BCCW Commissioner) MVP, they cut an uproariously condescending & entitled promo that has the building in near-riot mode. Thankfully they are answered by Houston Heat (the BCCW Trios remixed version) and the shining star of their conglomerate, Booker T (circa 1998). Long-standing BCCW feud between the two teams climaxes tonight with an insane ECW-era brawl around ringside, through the fans and into the popcorn machines! "BCCW! BCCW!" chants abound! There is NO love lost between these two street-wise tag teams! In the end, TNA Hernandez actually "Border Tosses" poor Kenny King OFF the stage platform and through a set of tables, where Booker T quickly picked up the pinfall (after diving down onto King and the wreckage with a "Houston Hangover" of his own!) WOW! Fantastic finish to the match, and we're JUST GETTING STARTED! This is MBV2016 from Philadelphia! Stay tuned! Winners: HOUSTON HEAT** CUT 2 COMMERCIAL ** _________________________________________________________________Tommaso Ciampa vs. Goldust (Heavyweight Bout) versus The slimy & devious Tommaso Ciampa has amassed quite a bit of heat since turning on his "Boston Strongmen" brethren and striking off on his own. His heelish antics since (switching weight classes, ducking ex-partner Frank Sexton & destroying former ally Frank Scarpa) have resulted in a stunning ascension. Tomasso stole a victory over Goldust & Nikita Koloff in a Triple Threat match on BCCW Fight Night (Dreams Do Come True) [click here] resulting in this one-on-one rematch. TCiampa eventually steals another victory over the cagey veteran Goldust, when he rolls him up after a lowblow and handful of tights. Winner: TOMMASO CIAMPAPostmatch, before TCiampa can utter more than a few sentences, he is bumrushed by an irate Nikita Koloff! Commentators explain how Nikita has been driven mad as of late from constant mind games, and is looking to take his rage out on TCiampa! But once again, TCiampa manages to weasel out of the altercation - leaving Nikita to settle on Goldust! The angry Nikita FLATTENS Goldust with a "Russian Sickle" clothesline, taking Goldust OUT of BCCW for good! TCiampa may have been the match victor here, but from the look in his eye as he sizes up Nikita's path of destruction, there is NO WINNER when Nikita Koloff is angry!!Nikita Koloff has come to Philly tonight for BLOOD! ** CUT 2 COMMERCIAL ** _________________________________________________________________Sisterhood (Sammi Lane / Mistress Belmont / Toxxis) vs. Alexxis Nevaeh & Bella Twins (6-Diva Tag Team Bout) versus Little is known about the monster Toxxis, aside from a few rare Loch Ness-like appearances in New England Championship Wrestling and BCCW. She (it?) is the meaty backbone of the Sisterhood, and her short (but devastatingly brutal) appearances in this match continue that perception. The (now-babyface) Bella Twins have teamed up with long-time XPW Remixed / BCCW / NECW stalwart Alexxis Nevaeh to form a fan-favorite super team. They are athletic underdogs in this match, but beauty wins over brawn in the end. Sammi Lane was disarmed of her cat-o-nine tails whip, and double-dropkicked off the top rope by the Bella Twins for the pin! Despite the victory, it is clear much friction remains in the air between these 6 catty superstars! Winners: ALEXXIS & the BELLA TWINS** CUT 2 COMMERCIAL ** _________________________________________________________________** Music Video look at the new BCCW faction "Bullet Proof", featuring AJ Styles & the American Wolves (Eddie Edwards & Davey Richards) followed by group promo backstage **** BCCW Flyweight Championship **"American Wolf" Davey Richards vs. Art Barr (1994) w/ Chavo Guerrero versus w/ Big-time fight feel and MMA walkouts for the Challenger & Champion. Aggressive match that showcase the best of the Flyweight division (it's not all just flippy-dippy acrobatics - it's hard-nosed grappling and chain wrestling with MMA influences too). Not to mention a healthy dose of Lucha Libre! Arriba! In the end, Davey superkicks Art Barr right out of the air, and forcing him to tap out for the submission! "Bullet Proof" is still staking their claim to the realms of Championship glory in BCCW! Will stablemate AJ Styles be as successful in his PPV Title Match against Sheamus (and his "League of Nations") later tonight? Stay tuned to find out! Winner (and STILL Champion): DAVEY RICHARDS** Commentator Outro / PPV Run-Down with BCCW President Paul Bowser (ala UFC president Dana White) / Video Montage and End Credits **BUY THE MUTHAPHUCKKIN PPV! ** PPV!! ** Broken City Championship Wrestling by MadStepDadproudly presents:MBV2016!!Live from Philadelphia PA (aka "Killadelphia")
The City of Brotherly Love!!Ringside Commentators Gordon Solie & Matt StrikerBackstage Correspondent & Post-fight interviewer: Renee YoungThis is a love letter.
From a heartsick, lovelorn soul who wears his spirit on his sleeve. Not matter how far I go they keep dragging me back. I’ve had my heart broken, trampled and spat upon. Shards of pain that cut deeper than a million syringes – sticking you to your core. The wasted. The wasteless. Pound the streets with me that run dark like varicose veins. In this crooked, black heart of the City you will find no love. Only Hate. Only cursed afflictions and spiteful vengeance. You will find only Devastation…
But upon every battlefield lies new hope. A rose sprouting through the hardest concrete; surviving the harshest conditions. For it’s clear to see, once you strip free all the inhibitions and physical trappings of mortal society, that we’re all driven by the same unquenchable thirst. A lust for LOVE. The most human of all desires in the Animal Kingdom. A love for the material. A love for the maternal. A love for the fame, trappings & intoxication. Everybody’s IZM may be different, but the basest element is universal. Let the love drive you. Steer with your heart and the heat of passion will enflame your every molecule! Bring the pain! Bring the suffering and agony! Love will keep us alive! Love of the Truth! Love IS the Truth! This is Crew Love and it runs the deepest! One love to #MashUpWrestling, What Would U Do Crew and the whole muthaphuckkin Mash-Up Posse! This is Broken City Championship Wrestling! This is “My Bloody Valentine 2016!” Love for the art, Love for the Game! We got love for this craft!** Cut to video package, pyro, screaming fans & hype! ** _________________________________________________________________** BCCW Middleweight Championship **"Diehard" Eddie Edwards © vs. Stardust (2016) vs. Hayabusa (2000) (Triple Threat Bout) versus versus Workhorse Middleweight champion Eddie Edwards starts the PPV right where we left the TV broadcast - high on the "Bullet Proof" train. Match is all action from the jump, as all 3 men are familiar with each other on the individual basis in BCCW. But constant meddling from the bitter & vindictive Stardust necessitated this 3-Way encounter. No Champions advantage. Right off the jump, both men knocked Stardust to the arena floor with a double dropkick! Hayabusa & Eddie exchange some chain wrestling, before taking it up a notch. Edwards with a clothesline. Hayabusa with a springboard crossbody block. Edwards charges and gets backdropped by Hayabusa to the floor. With Eddie & Stardust brawling together on the floor, Hayabusa nails both of them with a sweet-ass Space Flying Tiger Drop! Huge pop and our first official "BCCW!" chant of the PPV telecast! Back inside the 3 men continue their flurry. Hayabusa misses a moonsault off the top, so Stardust answers with his OWN moonsault off the top (that HITS Hayabusa) for a 2-count! Eddie hit a charge in the corner followed by a beautiful Shining Wizard to Stardust's face! Eddie signaled for the finish, but when he attempted a Michinoku Driver, he was countered by Stardust into a powerbomb - OVER the top rope - and HARD onto the ring apron! That left the match wide open for either Stardust or Hayabusa to win, but neither could capture the finish. In the end, Eddie rebounded to snipe Hayabusa out of the air with a dropkick and hit Stardust with a "Diehard Driver" for the pin! 1! 2! 3! "Bullet Proof" keep the gold! Winner (and STILL MW Champion): EDDIE EDWARDSMW Champion Eddie Edwards & FW Champion Davey Richards 100%-support their stablemate AJ Styles in his effort to capture the Television Championship from Sheamus later tonight!** CUT to replay & commentator summary / Video Montage of twisted Wyatt Family vs. Beer Money Intl. feud **_________________________________________________________________JBL (2006) vs. Bray Wyatt (2016) (Heavyweight Bout) versus This burning BCCW-feud continues tonight with an official one-on-one encounter. Both men are leaders of their own stables and 6-Man Tag Teams, but are just as equally and fiercely independent & selfish. This feud borrows heavily from Election 2016 (particularly Donald Trump & JBL's plan to "make America great again"). After massive Entrances (with no entourages) we get to the business of Ring Introductions & the big pre-match staredown. Power exchanges early to start, with both men hitting clotheslines, shouldertackles and even an occasional scoop slam. Match is super-high intensity, and Bray Wyatt manages to bleed hardway from the mouth only a few short minutes in. No matter. The bizarre BCCW babyface-version of Bray Wyatt uses it to pump up his own bloodlust. Eventually, after a brutal slugfest, Bray Wyatt manages to kick OUT of a JBL "Clothesline from Hell", leaving the Texan-turned-NYC Republican dumbfounded. Then outraged. JBL winds up blasting the referee - earning an instant DQ - and calling forth his partners Storm & Roode (TNA Beer Money) to help finish the job. Of course this draws the ranks of Bray's mighty Wyatt Family (Braun / Rowan / Harper) and we've got anther huge shmozz... typical of these two teams last few encounters. Winner: BRAY WYATT (by DQ) The Flames of vengeance continue to rage between these two diametrically-opposed factions. Even with a minor Bray Wyatt "victory" tonight, matters have yet to be settled and their blood-debt remains open... ** Cut to commentator Summary / Renee Young backstage interview with Woman & DOOM / 6-Man Title Video Vignette **_________________________________________________________________** BCCW 6-Man Tag Team Titles **The New Day © vs. Doom 2.0 (Tables Match) versus w/ Class-warfare between the Dead Serious and the Frivolous. New Day are the Champions, but only after losing then regaining them against Doom in an epic-series of Crossover Matches in the #MashUpWrestling Universe. See "New Years Revolution 2016" [click here] for their last encounter. The New Day did their big opening shtick tonight with micwork, getting the Philly fans riled up and chanting "BOOTY-Os!" The entrance of Doom (w/ Woman) is pure aggression. The two teams go at it Tornado-style (all 6-man brawling at the same time) before some semblance of normalcy emerges and we graduate to a one-on-one affair. All the while bloodthirsty fans chant "WE WANT TABLES!" Woman is on fire at ringside, and really helps incite the fans passion. Oddly enough the Heel-centric actions of the nerdist New Day have somehow begun to earn them babyface pops, and that phenomenon manifests itself completely tonight against the manliest-man trio of DOOM. Philly fans give New Day their official BCCW babyface-turn tonight. So it is with great delight and fan rapture, that Big E Langston manages to outduel Butch Reed in an incredible display of power and drive DOOM through a table with the help of a flying Kofi Kingston Yakuza kick! CRACK! Wood splinters like another Championship dream! New Day retain their titles and the usually boo-happy fans of Philly couldn't be happier! Feel the POOOOOWWWWEEERRRR of LOVE!! Winners (and STILL 6-Man Tag Team Champions): THE NEW DAY!! "They can get serious when they have to!!"** cut to video recap / commentator summary / Renee Young backstage interview w/ KO / Le Lion promo / video hype **CUT 2 RING! _________________________________________________________________Kevin FN Owens (2016) vs. "French Lion" Yvon Robert (1946) (Unsanctioned Xtreme Rulez Bout) versus This single battle perhaps encapsulates the entire theme of our night more than any other. Enflamed passions, vitriol and blackhearted Hatred. There is NO love lost between these two men, who were once so deep as the "Montreal Mafia" - now split asunder by the forces of good and forced back into the shadows. Le Lion took the dissolution of his Mafia as a slap in the face, and the defection of his "capo" Kevin Owens as a stab in the back. Revenge is on the menu tonight. As far as Intergenerational Dream Matches go, this is one of the Greatest. Yet it takes a truly inquisitive & refined Wrestling Mind to realize it. Welcome to the world of MadStepDad! This is #MashUpWrestling in a nutshell, muthaphuckkas! Match starts off with a wild Hockey-style slugfest, and doesn't slow down from there. Insanely intense and stiff. Strongstyle Montreal. KO blasts Le Lion into 2016 with a kick to the face and a clothesline over the top rope. But Le Lion takes Owens to (old) school with some brutal ground-n-pound and submission tactics. For Le Lion's one big last run in BCCW (as a "babyface" to boot) you couldn't ask for one better. Le Lion is Harley Race 1987, going out like a King. Unfortunately Kevin Owens is "Game of Thrones", and you know what happens to Kings on that show. In the end, Le Lion puts up a tremendous fight, but is symbolically decapitated by Owens on a final climatic pop-up powerbomb (this one directly onto a steel chair!) BAM! Kevin Owens gets the pin, smeared with the blood of a "king". He continues to be one of (if not *THE*) best Heel in BCCW today. Now the crown of Montreal wrestling belongs to Kevin FN Owens. But not without the wickedest of all fights. "Seigneur, reste le roi..." Winner: KEVIN FN OWENS** Cut to video recap & commentator summary / Segue to Roman Reigns (BIG BOOS!) promo RE: Main Event / Crusher Casey "retirement" tour montage - drawn back into action at the hands of King Barrett and his "League of Nations"... **STAY TUNED!! _________________________________________________________________

Steve "Crusher" Casey (1945) vs. Wade Barrett (2015) (King over Pawn Match) versus Crusher Casey challenges for the BCCW Heavyweight Championship @ "G5 Climax" in Japan [click here]Crusher Casey joins with John Cena & Frank Sexton to form a Beantown Dream Team on "Fight Night" [click here]"King over Pawn" challenge instituted on BCCW TV Episode #74 [click here]Two big hosses colliding in front of unforgiving Philly fans. Crusher Casey has the working-man, blue-collar work ethic thing going that seems to get him over regardless of his geographic location. But Wade Barrett on the other hand is taunted *mercilessly* by the Philly fans! On commentary, Striker even alludes to someone taking a royal "dump" in the King's crown backstage before the show! Good old fashioned "heat" with the exaggerated crowd antagonizing and kingly antics. Tests of strength, backbreakers and wear-down holds. "Barrett sucks!" and "Down with the King!" chants rain out. Once again, mood & temperament has elevated this beyond simple wrestling bout - it is "us against them", USA vs Britian. Haves vs. Have-NOTS. Unbeknownst to most novice observers, Wade Barrett actually suffers an injury in this match (shoulder) yet continues to persevere. In the end, left to his own devices, King Barrett once again comes up short. He misses a desperate swing with his scepter and his answered by an "Irish Curse / Brogue Kick" combo for the pin! Philly fans explode in a haze of alcohol, pyrotechnics and pro-Americana fervor! USA! USA! USA! Crusher is nobody's pawn! The proud Irish Warrior lightly mocks "King" Barrett by placing his old crown upon Casey's own head. But Casey quickly removes it, tosses it to the floor and crushes it beneath his heel! The King is Dead! Long live Lady Freedom! Winner: STEVE "Crusher" CASEY ** Cut to replay & commentator summary / Backstage promo from AJ Styles & "Bullet Proof" who are fired up and motivated / Juxtaposed with Renee Young's backstage interview of TV Champion Sheamus, where dissension in the ranks of his "League of Nations" is clearly apparent. TV Title match coming up next!! ** ** CUT 2 RING ** _________________________________________________________________** BCCW Television Title **Sheamus (2016) vs. AJ Styles (2016) (Catchweight Bout) versus Destinies collide tonight in Philadelphia when AJ Styles (forever on an upswing) takes on big bad Bully Sheamus in a Weight-Class-free Catchweight bout for the TV title. Sheamus is used to beating up people smaller than him. AJ Styles is used to fighting uphill battles against the odds. Let's see what happens tonight when these two explosive entities clash! AJ Styles is stick-and-move early, using speed & agility to waylay Sheamus. Legkicks, flying forearms and Muay-Thai knees. But Styles can't keep Sheamus down, and succeeds in only boiling his Irish temper further. Sheamus plucks AJ Styles out of the air on a flying forearm attempt, and spikes him across his knee with an Irish Curse backbreaker! Now Sheamus is in control. Heavy forearms to the chest, clotheslines & suplexes. AJ Styles scores with a running knee, as the crowd chants his name. But Sheamus crotches him on the ringpost and "accidentally" busts AJ Styles nose open with a boot to the face! Another series of high-impact moves from Sheamus, including a top-rope superplex, only gets him a 2-count. The "League of Nations" captain is growing increasingly frustrated, especially as the rabid fans continue to ride him - just as they did his stablemate Wade Barrett earlier! "U LOOK STOOPIT!" and "SHEAMUS SUXXX!" chants abound! Call it a "homecourt advantage" if you want to, but the crowd is really proving to have a debilitating mental affect on Sheamus! Slowly but surely AJ Styles fights back until he's firing on all cylinders and the crowd is going CRAZY following his every move! In the final sequence, Sheamus catches AJ Styles off the ropes with a Rolling Half-Crab attempt, only to get Pele-Kicked by Styles on the rebound! Into a "Calf Slicer" submission attempt, countered by Sheamus. But AJ Styles comes soaring off the ropes and finally connects with this flying forearm! 1! 2! 3! The arena explodes in Philly tonight! AJ Styles has accomplished the unachievable! Winner (and **NEW** Television Champion): AJ STYLES (2016)!! ** CUT ** Postmatch, Wade Barrett had this to say about Sheamus & his TV Title loss... ** Speaking of messy break-ups! Video recap of the epic "Mount Rushmore" disintegration, culminating in this historic Intergender match... **_________________________________________________________________Adam Cole (2016) & Sable (2003) vs. Gino Hernandez & Baby Doll (1986) (Valentine's Mixed Tag Bout) vs. "Valentine's Mixed Tag" bouts at "My Bloody Valentine" have been a tradition in BCCW since the old XPW Remixed days. But perhaps never before has the mix of competitors been so intermingled, personal and EXPLOSIVE! Former stablemates & Partners-in-Crime Gino Hernandez & Adam Cole have gone their violent ways in the wake of Gino's historic WWE Royal Rumble win (click here) and subsequent challenge of team captain Ric Flair! Their female counterparts (some may argue they really pull the strings here), Sable & Baby Doll are just as important to this affair as the males and drive the heat factor well-beyond capacity. It seems some Philly fans have been waiting all night for just this moment! Gino & Adam Cole start the match, but taunt each other more than anything. Gino is the Seth Rollins-esque "tweener" favorite at the moment here. Sable tagged in so Baby Doll had to oblige, and the crowd went CRAZY for them! Adam Cole wound up catching Gino from behind with a superkick to the head, and the two of them took over on poor Baby Doll. MASSIVE heat for the bitchy Sable and her pu$$y-whipped young stud Adam Cole. Eventually Gino got the hot tag, blitzed Adam Cole and nearly pinned him with a superkick of his own! But Sable hit Gino from behind with a lowblow, and that set off a ferocious clothes-tearing catfight between her and Baby Doll! "BCCW! BCCW!" Baby Doll manages to hit Sable with a TKO & a powerbomb! (technically Sable's own moves!) but comes face-to-face with Adam Cole - who appears ready to get physical with her! But instead, Baby Doll SLAPS him! Gino hits a retaliatory lowblow on Cole from behind! With Gino's slight help, Baby Doll actually manages to *powerbomb Adam Cole!* Another huge pop! Gino wraps Adam Cole up in his own excruciating Figure-4 Leglock! Shout out to WORLD Champion Ric Flair! Gino is gunning for you, baby! Sable tries one more half-naked, desperate lunge but is met with a stiff SPEAR from Baby Doll! BAM! Both women tumble from the ring! Adam Cole has no choice but to *tap out!* Gino is on his way to WWE WrestleMania where he will challenge Ric Flair for the World Title!! Winners: GINO & BABYDOLL!!_________________________________________________________________

** BCCW Heavyweight Championship**Frank Sexton (1946) © vs. Roman Reigns (2016) vs. Bobby Lashley (2016) (The ReMatch) versus versus Sorry I took so long! Sorry I made you wait! But MSD is back - and here's some more to hate! Remember, I'm not a bad guy & I'm not a good guy. I'm *THE* guy when it comes to Mash-Up Wrestling and the entire Fight Fiction multiverse! I'm like Roman Reigns mixed with a little Biggie Smalls. Cats just wanna pray & pray for my downfall. When love turns to hate and Destiny turns to Fate, well... I would hate to have to set your crooked-azz straight. Yet one simple fact remains - Perception is Reality. Let's start with a video recap of our historic Heavyweight triumvirate. The Heel Roman Reigns. The Hero Frank Sexton. The tweener/shades of Gray Bobby Lashley. MMA meets Sportz Entertainment meets SlamBang Western! Philly are you ready for a WAR!?!? After a brief feeling-out process between the 3 men (giving the vocal crowd plenty of time to get their coordinated chants together), action springs into high-gear. This is the ReMatch our entire #MashUpWrestling Universe has been waiting for. Lashley winds up getting backbody dropped over the top rope while Reigns & Sexton clash head-on in the ring. After a reversal, Roman is pitched to the outside and now all 3 men are going at it on the arena floor to great crowd acclaim. Back in the ring, Reigns countered a double-axe handle from Sexton with punches and Irish-whipped (shout out to Danno O'Mahoney!) our great BCCW Heavyweight Champion into the turnbuckles. From there, Reigns & Lashley collided in an epic crossover confrontation like Punisher & Batman! Lashley dodges a Superman punch and Reigns avoids a Spear-attempt. Sexton roars back into the fray and we unleash a series of 3-way spots, including rolling release Suplexes and powerbomb/super-plex combinations. The crowd is amped as Solie & Striker do their best to conjure memories of Ali vs Frazier or Rock vs Hogan. The Intensity is amplified when Sexton twists a knee and becomes an instant-target. Now waves of crowd sympathy wash down upon him, as the Heel Heat on Roman intensifies. Lashley crosses over to pure Hero once more, like a reformed Incredible Hulk, when he plays subtle Defender for the wounded Heavyweight Champion. Lashley powers into Roman with the fans full support. When Reigns stuns Lashley and regains control of the bout, he uses the ringposts to damage Sexton's leg further. Another "SEXTON!" chant arises as the Heavyweight champ shows no quit. He earned only pride and respect when he demanded this ReMatch for the fans. "Powerhouse" Frank Sexton finally returns fire with a slingshot to Reigns that winds up taking the referee OUT! Ref Bump! Sexton backdrops Lashley out of the ring and hits Reigns with a "Sedalis Cyclone!" (Sexton's own version of a "Superman Punch!") But no referee! Reigns catches Sexton on a charge and hits a SPEAR on the champion! Still no ref! Reigns doesn't see it coming, but SPEAR from behind by Lashley! "Dominator" on Frank Sexton! The referee is stirring, and Bobby Lashley gets the closest 2-count of the night on Frank Sexton! Lashley almost pinned the champ! Reigns is now calling for the Superman Punch... and BLASTS Lashley in the mush sight unseen! SPEAR to Lashley from Reigns knocks the TNA Blastmaster right through the ropes and out of the ring! Reigns takes one-nanosecond too long to taunt the feverish Philly crowd and tempt his Fate... BAM! Another "Sedalis Cyclone!" from Sexton! Reigns is hoisted up on Sexton's shoulder - and slammed to the mat with a TKO! The ref is in (groggy) position and the crowd hangs on his every movement! 1!... 2!... 3!! Sexton pins Reigns! Sexton pins Reigns! The Internet of Raging Smarks is avenged! Winner (and STILL Heavyweight Champion): FRANK SEXTON Crowd goes wild for Sexton's win. Though limping, he gets a congratulatory handshake from Lashley to a big pop. Sexton & Reigns tease some kind of mutual respect, but Reigns continues to embrace the Hate by FLIPPING Sexton off to his face instead of accepting his handshake! MORE rabid booes from Reigns, who is being rained upon with so much trash & bile that it takes a virtual wall of Security Guards to get him backstage to safety. All the while, Sexton soaks up the thrill of another hard fought victory. The once little-known Boston-area Legend has been reborn under the banner of BCCW once more. Where Timeless Fantasy-Matches prevail and the sands of Humanity never wither. Sexton concludes with his Renee Young post-fight interview ("ANYTHING IS POSSIBLLLLLLE!!") Video Highlights of the show Post-fight commentary from Solie & Striker Wrap up and roll credits! Good night! [end transmission] _________________________________________________________________

It's great to have BCCW back in action. It was a long enough wait between shows that I forgot all of the build up for these matches. In that sense, it felt like watching a sport with an off-season. It's like the BCCW season ended a few months ago and this was the new season premiere. What I love about BCCW is that it has such a great balance between wrestlers several generations ago and the stars of the modern day. I have tried to do that myself, but I have rarely done a good job of presenting the top names from the past as big time players. BCCW does those so well. While AJ Styles, Eddie Edwards, Davey Richards and the New Day are all champions, the holder of the most prestigious championship in the company is Frank Sexton (and before him, Steve "Crusher" Casey and Yvon "Le Lion" Robert held the strap). In AGPW's early days, I followed MSD's lead and did alright with this, bringing Yvon Robert on board as a major player, and later pushing "Superstar" Billy Graham to the moon. However, since then, I have struggled to give good pushes to wrestlers who were stars prior to the 1980s. I see others do that well, but putting that focus on them at the expense of current superstars. None of us seems to be able to really strike a balance between the old and the new except for MSD. I think that is the think that makes me really enjoy his fantasy wrestling vision. It is also one of the biggest reasons - if not the biggest reason - why I am glad to see BCCW back in action.
