Before the show starts, we enter a scene in the office of new AGPW promoter Dario Cueto. He is meeting with a very big, muscular man who says that he came here because he heard that there was $100 000 up for grabs to the most impressive wrestler around and he wants to get paid. His name is Big Ryck and he talks Cueto into letting him into the ring to show him how impressively violent he can be. Cueto says that he likes what he has to say and will give him a shot in a match against Tajiri.
First Match: Alberto El Patron defeats Dean Malenko by pinfall after getting him caught up in a tree of woe and then executing a diving double-foot stomp to the chest.
Second Match: Matt Sydal earns the victory over Pentagon Jr. with a shooting star press after Owen Hart runs down to ring side and gives Pentagon Jr. an overhead belly-to-belly suplex on the floor, which goes unseen by the referee. That is payback for Hart’s attack on him two weeks ago. Owen Hart will meet Pentagon Jr. at Hellfire in Halifax. Meanwhile, after the match, Sydal gets on the microphone and issues a challenge to Tyson Kidd, who attacked him after their cobbled together team failed to win a tag team match last week, for a match at Hellfire in Halifax.
Third Match: Samoa Joe makes quick work of Petey Williams, giving him a Muscle Buster to win the match by pinfall. After the match, he’s joined in the ring by International Heavyweight Championship #1 contender Batista and the Sensational Queen Sherri and cuts a promo explaining that the reason he’s become allied with Batista and Sherri is because he’s been dicked around too many times in the past to continue to go it alone, plus he’s seen what great heights Sherri’s management has taken Batista to. He says that if he had Sherri in his corner, Ric Flair never would have gotten away with putting his feet on the ropes to keep him pinned long enough to take his title away from him. So now, with Sherri’s assistance, he will get what he’s owed and what he rightly deserves, and the first thing he’s going to get is Dario Cueto’s $100 000 cash prize at Hellfire in Halifax.
“Nature Boy” Ric Flair comes to the ring carrying two identical copies of the International Heavyweight Championship title belt and the Mash-Up Wrestling World Heavyweight Championship title belt. He takes the microphone and starts cutting a promo filled with righteous indignation over a comment that Cesaro made last week about being half the champion he says he is because his two championships and three championship title belts says that he’s at least twice the champion that he normally says he is. Flair says that Cesaro doesn’t have the right to hold a championship title belt or even to call himself a champion. Next, Cesaro comes down to the ring to argue that he does have the right to his championship title belt and the right to call himself a champion because he won it fairly. Then, Dario Cueto comes out and unequivocally names Ric Flair the current International Heavyweight Champion. He says that Cesaro’s title win did not follow proper protocol because he did not beat the reigning Champion, who was not obligated to defend the title or forfeit it on account of him being on special World Championship title business. Cesaro argues that isn’t fair and says that they should have a title match to settle things, but Cueto says that cannot happen because Batista is the #1 contender. Instead, Cueto says that he’s going to give Cesaro a match against the undefeated Canadian Earthquake and if he can win it, then maybe he’ll get an opportunity to win his briefcase full of cash.
Fourth Match: Rey Mysterio defeats “Killer” Karl Krupp by pinfall after executing the 619 and the West Coast Pop! After the match, Krupp grabs his riding crop and starts whipping Mysterio with it until he is stopped by Leo Burke, who grabs Krupp from behind and gives him a belly-to-back suplex. Then, he picks up the riding crop and starts to whip Krupp with it until he rolls out of the ring. Leo Burke grabs a microphone and addresses comments that Krupp made about him being a loser, last week. Burke acknowledges them as the truth, saying that 2015 has been the worst year of his career because he’s been a loser over the past year. He says that he’s had a loser’s mentality and he hasn’t stayed true to himself and who he is. He cements his face turn by talking about how spending the few weeks at home in Atlantic Canada has made his get back in touch with his roots and rediscover the toughness that is inherent in being a true Maritimer (someone from the Atlantic Canadian region). For the last year, he’s been nothing but a disgrace, but he’s going to show the world how a true Maritimer fights when he faces “Killer” Karl Krupp at Hellfire in Halifax!
Fifth Match: In a rematch from two weeks ago, Charlotte Flair, Natalya Neidhart and Ivelisse Velez defeat Gail Kim, Chyna and Jazz by pinfall when Ivelisse gives Gail Kim the Desert Eagle sunset flip powerbomb. This followed a breakdown in the partnership of the losing team after Chyna managed to execute the Pedigree on Flair. Like last time, Kim pounced at the chance to steal the pinfall away from her by making a blind tag and coming in for the pin, however Chyna broke it up. Their argument led to their opponents making a comeback and winning the match.
After the commercial break, we return to Dario Cueto’s office where is having a meeting with Kurt Angle. Cueto talks about how he loves violence and would like nothing more than to give Angle what he wants – a match against Samoa Joe – but that he cannot risk having the company shut down because the strict federal and provincial Canadian Athletic Commissions that require all athletes who suffer a traumatic blow to stay out of the ring and be headache free for at least two weeks before they can receive medical clearance. Personally, he hates all of the red tape, but must abide by the law. Angle vows that, one way or the other, he will make Joe pay for what he did to him and then he walks out.
Then, Gail Kim enters Dario Cueto’s office and demands two things: a title match against Charlotte Flair and an opportunity to punish Chyna for trying to steal her spotlight. He grants her wish, telling her that he’ll be in a triple threat match against Chyna and Charlotte Flair at Hellfire in Halifax. Kim complains that facing both of them at once was not what she had in mind, but Cueto tells her that he can remove her from the match, so she back pedals and accepts the terms of the title shot.
Sixth Match: Big Ryck is met with a great challenge from Yoshihiro Tajiri, but he ultimately rises to the occasion and wins in impressive fashion by putting him in the Torture Rack before slamming him hard into the mat with the Ryck Bottom to earn the win.
Seventh Match: Cesaro snaps the undefeated streak that the Canadian Earthquake has been on since entering AGPW by giving him the Neutralizer and pinning him for the victory.
While Cesaro is celebrating his win, Dario Cueto comes to the ring with his briefcase full of cash and reminds us of the announcement that he made last week, that the competitors who impressed him the most would get an opportunity to win $100 000 at Hellfire in Halifax. Then, he says that Samoa Joe, Big Ryck, Rey Mysterio Jr., Alberto El Patron and Cesaro will each have a chance to win the cash by climbin a ladder and retrieving the briefcase in Dario Cueto’s $100 000 ladder match at Hellfire in Halifax!
