NWA Championship Wrestling from TBS Studios.

The program kicks off in front of the classic NWA logo behind the studio desk with the announcing trio of Joey Styles, Les Thatcher & Mike Tenay. They welcome the fans to the first hour of the two-hour NWA program from Atlanta, Georgia. Les says a lot of things, including title changes, went on last Sunday in New Orleans. Joey says they are going to talk to 'Cowboy' Bill Watts in the second hour about what happened in his match with NWA World's Heavyweight Champ 'Original Nature Boy' Buddy Rogers. Mike announces that Japan superstar woman wrestler Kana w/mgr. Sonny Onoo defeated NWA World's Women's Champ Madusa Miceli by submission in an exciting match. Another member of Onoo's stable, Masahiro Chono captured the NWA World's Junior Heavyweight Championship from an injured Tiger Mask IV by referee's decision when he could not continue. And in another huge title change, Brian Pillman won the NWA World's TV Championship Belt from the Miz w/mgr. James J. Dillon., getting a submission using the crucifix armbar with neckscissors. We have a lot of people to talk to & we'll get to it right after this message.
This week the NWA will be on the road in the following cities: Sunday afternoon in Macon, Ga., Sunday night in Atlanta, Ga., Monday night in Tallahassee, Fla., Tuesday night in Tampa, Fla., Wednesday night in Miami, Fla., Thursday night in San Antonio, Tex., Friday in Dallas, Tex., Saturday night in Houston, Tex .

Back at the desk, the trio brings out new World's TV Champ Brian Pillman to a big applause by the studio fans. Pillman says winning the title was the greatest moment in his wrestling career. Pillman says he will be a fighting champion & will be putting the title on the line tonight against former champ The Miz in the first hour of today's show. Also seeing action in the first hour are the six man team of Tammy Sytch's Austin Aries & the Heavenly Bodies, Ken Shamrock in action, an interview with the Von Erichs, a women's challenge match as well as a tag team match featuring the Motor City Machine Guns before the World's TV Title match.
First hour matches/interviews
We go to the ring with the lovely Mike McGuirk for first match ring introductions.
Before the start of the match, manager Tammy Sytch is ringside with Mike talking about how her Heavenly Bodies & Austin Aries were tired to whipping up preliminaries like the Rock N Roll Express & the Fantastics as well as Danny Hodge & Ken Lucas. Her boys are ready for titles & she wants title matches - now.
Six Man Tag Team Match. Austin Aries & The Heavenly Bodies (Tom Pritchard & Jimmy Del Rey) w/mgr. Tammy Sytch rolled over Gunner, George South & Sam Houston with a double clothesline on South for the victory. (6:46).

Single Match.. Ken Shamrock scored a quick submission over Rex Hargove with the ankle lock. (4:12).
Following the match, Shamrock talks with Styles about the nauseating arrogrance of the Von Erichs & their trashy manager Missy Hyatt. Lex Luger & Scott Hall can fight their own battles but when it is three on one or two, then Ken Shamrock will stick his nose where he wants to & make sure fair play prevails.

At the desk, Missy Hyatt & the happy Von Erichs (David, Kerry & Kevin) come out & begin gloating over Kerry beating Lex Luger for his $50,000 last Sunday in the Superdome. David says the Von Erichs showed Lex Loser that their family is superior to anyone or group in pro wrestling. Kevin says we enjoyed spending your hard earned money. They all laugh. Missy thanks the boys for the new red dress (she is almost wearing). The boys get serious by addressing Scott Hall & Ken Shamrock who have been sticking their noses in the Von Erich's businesses. It is not a safe thing to do.
Joey says they have a planned interview with Luger in the second hour to hear what he has to say about the Superdome event.
We go to the ring for the challenge match.
Special Women's Challenge Match. A fired up Taeler Hendrix lost to Cherry Bomb w/husband Pepper Parks. (8:56). Parks tripped up Hendrix coming off the ropes & allowed Cherry to execute the Cherry Popper on Taeler to get the unpopular win.

Four Man Tag Team Match. The Motor City Machine Guns (Chris Sabin & Alex Shelley) knocked off Ricky Fields & Terry Latham quickly following a powerbomb from Sabin then a double knee backbreaker from Shelley on Fields. (5:01).
Following the match, the Motor City Machine Guns join Joey, Les & Mike at the desk to talk again about going after the NWA World Tag Team Belts currently held by the Minnesota Wrecking Crew (Gene & Ole Anderson). They understand the Rock n Roll Express, the Fantastics, the Von Erichs, the Heavenly Bodies & others are in line. They plan to knock them off & force the Andersons into a match.

Before the start of the match, manager James J. Dillon & former NWA World's TV Champ the Miz say that Pillman's reign is going to be a short one as the Miz is fixing to get his title back.
NWA World's TV Championship Match. 1-fall 10-minute time limit. (Champ): Brian Pillman won by disq. over (Chall); former champ the Miz w/J.J. Dillon when Pillman was hit in the groin by Miz while coming off the ropes & attempting a leap with referee Brian Hilderbrand making the call. (9:11).

Second hour matches/interviews
Joey, Les & Mike run down the matches for the second hour of NWA Wrestling. They have a special interviews with Madusa Micelli, Lex Luger & 'Cowboy' Bill Watts as well as in action 'Dirty' Dusty Rhodes, Scott Hall, The Asian Assassins (Genichiro Tenryu & Jumbo Tsuruta) & Dick Murdoch.
Single Match. 'Dirty' Dusty Rhodes hit the ring & wipped out Private Mark Pyle with a pair of brutal elbow smashes. (1:01).
Following the match, Rhodes goes to the desk & goes on a tirade against 'Captain Redneck' Dick Murdoch. Rhodes says if it is the last thing he is going to do is put 'Captain Redneck' out of wrestling -- for good! They view the closing moments from the Superdome where Dick Murdoch defeated Rhodes in a Texas Bullrope Match.
We follow up next with McGuirk conducting an interview taped last Sunday night from the Superdome with former NWA Women's Worlds Champ Madusa Miceli. Madusa is down & unhappy with the results tonight. She wants another match with new champ Kana & this time the outcome will be different.

Single Match. Scott Hall uses the bulldog to beat Jerry 'the King' Lawler who spent most of the match stalling outside of the ring. (7:25). During the match, 'Hot Stuff' Eddie Gilbert (wearing a bandage on his face) ran up behind Lawler & pushed him into the ring while referee Charles Robinson was distract pushing Hall away from the ropes.

Four Man Tag Team Match. The Asian Assassins (Genichiro Tenryu & Jumbo Tsuruta) w/mgr. Sonny Onoo put together a win over the Naturals (Chase Stevens & Andy Douglas) when Tenryu hit Stevens with a short armed lariat. (8:13).
After the match, Onoo & the Asian Assassins are joined by Antonio Inoki followed by the new NWA World's Jr. Heavyweight Champ Masahiro Chono & NWA Women's Champ Kana to public thank his new champions for make Japan proud. Onoo says next up is the NWA World's Heavyweight Belt & the World Tag Team Belts.

Interview with 'Cowboy' Bill Watts who talks about losing the match last Sunday & the appearance of the MSD World's Heavyweight Champion 'Nature Boy' Ric Flair. The go to the video highlights. In the final seconds with Rogers cowering in the ring corner, J.J. handed the champ a pair of brass knuckles while referee Dave Hebner was arguing with the challenger. Bill shoved the ref out of the way & went in to scoop up Buddy for the Oklahoma Stampede. Pow! Watts went down with Rogers getting the cover for the victory. While Rogers & Dillon celebrated, Flair hit the ring behind Rogers & pulled out the brass knuckles showing them to Hebner. They deny using them, saying Ric slipped them in there.
Watts says he appreciates Flair's helping out but is leary of his motivation. Bill says Ric doesn't want to face Buddy. And Rogers will do anything to keep that belt as he found out Sunday night. Bill says he is not through with quest for the World's Heavyweight Belt & he is not going to stop now.
At the desk, Joey airs a taped interview with the Four Horseman (Buddy Rogers, the Anderson Brothers & the Miz) about last Sunday in New Orleans. Rogers says Watts had his shot & its over. The Andersons say they crippled up the Rock N Roll Express. The Miz says Pillman stole his belt but he is going to get it back.

Single Match. 'Captain Redneck' Dick Murdoch won by disqualification over Blackjack Mulligan when Rhodes hit the ring with a bullrope when Murdoch had Mulligan in trouble. (7:10). He & Mulligan began to tie up Murdoch when Watts ran out from the dressing room with a 2 by 4 then laided wood to Dusty & Blackjack! Ring officials & other wrestlers hit the ring to separate them.

Before closing today's show, Lex Luger joins the trio ringside to talk about what happened last Sunday in New Orleans. Luger says he would like to get his $50,000 back but would much rather get a piece of the Von Erich' boys hide instead. He calls them cowards running in a pack like a bunch of mongrel muts. All hell breaks loose as the Von Erichs run in from the dressing room & attack Lex ringside. After putting the boots to him, they roll him into the ring & begin kicking & punching him under the direction of Missy! Out from the dressing room comes Scott Hall & Ken Shamrock followed by MsChif who grabs Hyatt by the hair then throws her out of the ring. MsChif chases Hyatt back to the dressing room. The good guys chase the Von Erichs from ringside. The trio tells the announcers they want a six man tag team match next week.
Joey, Les, Mike (Tenay) & Mike (McGuirk) announce that the match will be signed for next week. Tune in.
