The program kicks off in front of the classic NWA logo behind the studio desk with the announcing trio of Joey Styles, Les Thatcher & Mike Tenay recapping what happened at the end of the second hour of last week's program. They welcome the fans to the first hour of the NWA program from Atlanta, Georgia. Joey says they have a lot going on over the next two hours but we have a special respond from Kerry Von Erich courtesy of Missy Hyatt. The walking riot says that Kerry will accept Lex Loser's challenge & will get a lot of satisfaction when he embarasses ole muscle head on the PPV Sunday. And David is going to take care of Scott Hall earlier on in the card. They add they have been told a special person will be appearing at the end of today's show & he will blow the fans away.
Les & Mike run down the complete card for the NWA PPV Maudi Gras Massacre in the Mercedes-Benz Superdome in New Orleans, La.

This week the NWA will be on the road in the following cities: Sunday night in New Orleans, La., Monday night in Jackson, Miss., Tuesday night in Little Rock, Ark., Wednesday night in Shreveport, La., Thursday night in San Antonio, Texs., Friday in Dallas, Tex., Saturday in Houston, Tex.
Back at the desk, Joey & Mike run down some of the matches for the first hour of today's tv care. Seeing action today are Tessa Blanchard, Tully Blanchard's daughter, Kerry Von then Lex Luger in arm wrestling contests against different opponents, the debut of the Mortor City Machine Guns and TV title defense by the Miz w/mgr. James J. Dillon. We also have a special interivew in the ring with 'Captain Redneck' Dick Murdoch.
First hour matches/interviews
We go to the ring with the lovely Mike McGuirk for first match ring introductions.
Single Match. Tessa Blanchard scored a win over Alexa Thatcher with slingshot suplex. (7:41).

Arm Wrestling Contest. Kerry Von Erich with Missy Hyatt beat Rex Hargrove in 12 seconds. Then Kerry pinned Rex following the discus punch. (4:12).

Arm Wrestling Contest. Lex Luger put down Ric Bognar in 9 seconds. The went on to beat Bognar with the torture rack in a regular match. (5:22).
Following the match, Missy Hyatt & The Von Erichs (David, Kerry & Kevin) Come out & begin tauting Luger while Kerry tries to sneak into the ring but Scott Hall & Ken Shamrock causing the Von Erichs make a retreat to the dressing room area.
Lex tells Mike Kerry had better be worried. It's his $50,000 he is putting up to get him into the contest. When all is said & done, Lex will come out the winner.

Four Man Tag Team Match. The Motor City Machine Guns (Chris Sabin & Alex Shelley) debuted & took down Simon Diamond & Johnny Swinger following a powerbomb from Sabin then a double knee backbreaker from Shelley.
Following the match, the Motor City Machine Guns join Joey, Les & Mike at the desk to talk about going after the NWA World Tag Team Belts currently held by the Minnesota Wrecking Crew (Gene & Ole Anderson).

Before the start of the match, manager James J. Dillon & NWA World's TV Champ the Miz announce that they agree to a 30-minute time limit so the Mix can teach the punk Brian Pillman a wrestling lesson Sunday on the PPV.
NWA World's TV Championship Match. 1-fall 10-minute time limit. (Champ): the Miz w/J.J. Dillon used The Mizard of Oz (a swinging inverted DDT) to take down (Chall): 'Scrap Iron' Adam Pearce (8:31).

Back at the ring, Thatcher is in the ring with 'Captain Redneck' Dick Murdoch who has an axe handle & metal trash can in the middle of the ring. Dick says he is going to clean up the trash here in the NWA, starting with the stinkiest trash of all - 'DIrty' Dusty Rhodes. Big mouth Rhodes says he created the Texas Bullrope match. In a pig's eye. Dick says one night on a Florida highway he hogtied a 10-foot alligator with a bullrope he had in the car. Rhodes was with him but was passed out stink'in drunk & didn't know what happened.
This brings out Dusty who gets in the ring with Dick. Rhodes offeres Murdoch one last chance to bow out of the match Sunday & not get embarrassed when he beats him like a dog. Then Dusty asks Dick what the hell he is doing in the ring with an axe handle & a metal trash can. Murdoch says he is going to take out some trash. Rhodes says 'What trash?' Dick says I'm taking you out. He levels Dusty with several blows then puts the trash can over his former tag partner. Then Murdoch gleefully pounds on the trash can until it is all dented up & Dusty cannot get out. Dick adds 'I'll see you tomorrow afternoon.'
Second hour matches/interviews
Joey, Les & Mike run down the matches for the second hour of NWA Wrestling. In action will be NWA Worlds' Women's Champ Madusa Miceli, Scott Hall facing Kevin Von Erich, Johnny Valentine facing Jerry 'the King' Lawler, a six man tag match featuring 'Cowboy' Bill Watts & the Rock N Roll Express meeting NWA World's Heavyweight Champ 'Original Nature Boy' Buddy Roger & World's Tag Team Champs the Minnesota Wrecking Crew (Gene & Ole Anderson) w/mgr. James J. Dillon. Also scheduled is an appearance by the MSD World's Heavyweight Champion 'Nature Boy' Ric Flair.
Brian Pillman comes out ringside to talk to Joey, Les & Mike about the TV title match for Sunday with champ the Miz. Pillman fells he can take the title off the Mize who has been able to take advantage of the short 10-minute time limit.
Next up is a very angry NWA World's Women's Champion Madusa Miceli. She wastes no-time in issuing a non-title challenge to Asuka on TV right now. Asuka (wearing the white mask) comes out followed by manager Sonny Onoo. The women have a stare down until Asuka suddenly headbuts Madusa then rolls her into the ring.
Single Challenge Match. NWA Women's World's Champion Madusa Miceli lost to Asuka w/mgr. Sonny Onoo when Asuka nailed Miceli with a well-timed spin kick to the back of the head while Onoo distracts the champ to set up the pin. (6:56).

Single Match. Scott Hall uses the bulldog to beat Kevin Von Erich w/mgr. Missy Hyatt. (7:45). Following the startling win, David & Kerry hit the ring but Hall sees them coming & beats a retreat to the ring floor where he is congratulated by Lex Luger & Ken Shamrock. Missy is furious & boncing up and down! The brothers head back to the dressing room.

Single Match. Masahiro Chono w/mgr. Sonny Onoo crushed Pepper Parks w/wife Cherry Bomb with the Kenka Kick. (6:41).
After the match, Onoo goes on a rant about Tiger Mask IV battling through the injured ankle he got last week. Tough. Chono is going to walk out the ring tomorrow as the new NWA World's Junior Heavyweight Champion -- all Japan will be proud!

Single Match. Johnny Valentine got tired of Jerry 'the King' Lawler's stalling outside of the ring & used three elbows to the head to score a pin. (6:11).

Wrapping up today's pre PPV show is an surprise appearance from MSD World's Heavyweight Champion 'Nature Boy' Ric Flair who joins Joey, Les & Mike at the desk to talk about being the real MSD World's Heavyweight Champion. Flair talks about the talent in the NWA, purposely ignoring the 'Original Nature Boy' Buddy Rogers. Finally, Rogers has heard enough & comes ringside w/mgr. James J. Dillon. Buddy is not too happy to see Ric.
The courtesy evaporates between the two real quick with barbs being exchanged back & forth. J.J. finally gets Buddy to leave but gets in the phrase, 'You're a poor imitation me Flair & I'm going to prove it to you one day real soon. Flair finishes with 'Well, Buddy, to be the man...you have to BEAT THE MAN!'
