The show opens with a taped interview conducted by manager James J. Dillon with the Four Horsemen, 'Original Nature Boy' Buddy Rogers (NWA World's Heavyweight Champ), Gene & Ole Anderson (NWA World's Tag Team Champs) & The Miz (NWA World's TV Champ). Dillion. J.J. gets a few words of aggrogance/confidence from Rogers, the Minnesota Wrecking Crew & the Miz about the competition here in the NWA.
The program kicks off in front of the classic NWA logo behind the studio desk with the announcing trio of Joey Styles, Les Thatcher & Mike Tenay recapping what happened at the end of the second hour of last week's program. They welcome the fans to the first hour of the NWA program from Atlanta, Georgia. Styles says those are strong words from those 3 NWA major champions. Thatcher says we have a special message up next for the fans. Tenay welcomes out NWA owner Ted Turner along with Commissioner Dennis Coralluzzo & assistant Bill Behrens who is holding a large poster that says NWA Maudi Gras Massacre with the Mercedes-Benz Superdome in New Orleans, La., in the background.
Turner takes over by telling the fans that their first ever pay-per-view is set for Sunday evening, February 7, in the beautiful city of New Orleans. All of the NWA World Champions will on hand to defend their titles against top-notch challengers. Mr. Coralluzzo & Mr. Behrens have been working 24 hours a day to put this spectacular pay-per-view event together. Tickets go on sale tomorrow so fans better get them while they are available. Maudi Gras is a wonderful event in New Orleans & our PPV will bring more excitement to the Crescent City. We will be releasing more information at the end of today's show so stay tuned.
Joey, Les & Mike thank Mr. Turner & say this is exciting news. The locker rooms will be hot n' heavy with wrestlers jocking for position on this PPV.
This week the NWA will be on the road in the following cities: Sunday afternoon at the Stokley Athletic Center in Knoxville, Tenn., Sunday night at the Mid-South Coliseum in Memphis, Tenn., Monday night at the Civic Center in Birmingham, Ala., Tuesday night at Freedom Hall in Louisville, Ky., Wednesday night at the Arena in Nashville, Tenn., Thursday night at the Kemper Arena in Kansas City, Mo., Friday at the Checkerdome in St. Louis, Mo., Saturday at Rosemont Horizon in Chicago, Ill.
First hour matches/interviews
We go to the ring with the lovely Mike McGuirk for first match ring introductions where she is joined by Japanese manager Sonny Onoo who introduces Asia's finest singles star since the late Rickidoza Antonio Inoki, the tag team of Genichiro Tenryu & Jumbo Tsuruta, junior heavyweight Masa Chono & women's wrestler Asuka (still called Kana in Japan).
Single Match. Masa Chono w/Onoo defeated Mike Rapada with the Kenta Kick. (5:00).

Single Match. Johnny Valentine debuts & quickly takes down 'Big' Ric Bognar with a pair of stiff elbow shots to the head. (4:02).
Following the match, Valentine joins the announcing team stating that he is here after one thing - the NWA World's Heavyweight Belt held by 'Nature Boy' Buddy Rogers. Johnny says he knows Buddy real well. Rogers is not keen about handing out title shots but when he beats him in a non-title contest, the NWA will force Rogers to put up the belt.

Four Man Tag Team Match. Asian Shooters (Genichiro Tenryu & Jumbo Tsuruta) w/mgr. Sonny Onoo defeated the Naturals (Chase Stevens & Andy Douglas) when Tenryu hit Douglas with the scoop brainbuster. (7:51).
Following the match, mini-skirt wearing Tammy Sytch comes to the desk with her stablemates Austin Aries & the Heavenly Bodies (Tom Pritchard & Jimmy Del Rey) to talk about the singles titles & tag team belts which the champions are ducking signing contracts with his stable. Tammy says they will be the next champions & everyone else will be challenging them.

Non-Title Women's Singles Match. World's Women's Champion Madusa Miceli rolled up Nikki Roxx with a handfull of tights (& half moon for Roxx) for the win following a lengthy airplane spin. (6:01).
Following the match, Madusa joins Joey, Les & Mike at the desk to talk about the competition in the NWA. However they are interupted by Sonny Onoo who is accompanied by a woman wrestler Kana white clown makeup mask. Onoo says this is Asuka, the woman who will defeat Madusa for the women's title. Miceli gets into an argument with Onoo when Asuka throws her mask at Madusa then ko's her with a roundhouse kick -- laying her out on the floor. Sonny restates that Asuka is the next NWA Women's Champion.

NWA World's TV Championship Match. (Champ): the Miz w/J.J. Dillon was held to a tv time limit draw by (Chall): Brian Pillman (10:00). Dillion looked concerned during the match as Pillman proved that he is a lethal challenger to the TV title.
A jubliant Pillman talks with Styles ringside saying he wants another shot at the Miz's title. Let's extend the time limit next time.

Second hour matches/interviews
Single Challenge Match. Lex Luger won by disqualification over Kerry Von Erich, helped by his brothers David & Kevin with valet Missy Hyatt who slapped Luger several times while being held by the Von Erichs before Scott Hall & Ken Shamrock & women grappler MsChif hit the ring to chase the Von Erichs & Hyatt back to the dressing room. (8:53).

Non-title Single Match. NWA World's Junior Heavyweight Champion Tiger Mask IV defeated Sam Houston with a scissored armbar. (7:59).

Single Match. Antonio Inoki w/mgr. Sonny Onoo took used the sleeper hold to take an impressive win from Dory Funk Jr. with the help of Onoo's distraction on the ring apron. (9:13).

Non-Title Four Man Tag Team Match. NWA World's Tag Team Champions the Minnesota Wrecking Crew Gene & Ole Anderson w/mgr. James J. Dillon by submission over Simon Diamond & Johnny Swinger following brutal hammerlock on Diamond. (7:11).
Following the match, 'Cowboy' Bill Watts is interviewed ringside by Les about his non-title match coming up next with NWA World's Heavyweight Champion 'Nature Boy' Buddy Rogers. Watts says this is what he wants & he will prove to Rogers & Dillon that he is the man who will be the next NWA World's Heavyweight Champ.

Non-Title Single Matlch. 'Cowboy' Bill Watts came back to pin NWA World's Heavyweight Champion 'Nature Boy' Buddy Rogers w/mgr. James J. Dillon following a prematch brawl with Blackjack Mulligan out side of the ring. (8:21). While Dillon distracted official Dave Hebner, Mulligan came into the ring to ko Watts but nailed Rogers instead. Bill threw Blackjack over the top rope than pinned Rogers as Hebner turned around & saw the pin.
Following the match, Rogers with Dillon are joined by Mulligan & are putting a beat down on Watts until Danny Hodge & Wahoo McDaniel hit the ring to clean house.
