First Match: In tonight’s opening contest, the team of Mad Dog & Butcher Vachon compete against “Killer” Karl Krupp and his partner, the hometown heel, Leo Burke. The Vachons take great delight in pummeling the very unpopular Burke, who turned on his hometown at the beginning of the year. This is a heavyweight match with lots of power moves. While the Vachons are tough and dangerous, and they appear to be headed to a victory, a referee distraction by Burke enables Krupp to whip Butcher repeatedly with his riding crop and then get into position to hold down Mad Dog’s foot so he can’t kick out of Burke’s pinfall, after he executed a DDT. After the match, Burke and Krupp share a laugh as Burke rips on his hometown for wanting him to fail and not getting their wishes.

Second Match: Bayley makes her AGPW debut in a match against Courtney Rush. Bayley executes a variety of suplexes and multiple running back elbow smashes to Rush while she’s stuck in the corner, all on the way to picking up the win with the Bayley-to-Belly suplex in her debut. After the match, she joins SoCal Val for a backstage interview, where she expresses her extreme happiness at getting the win in her very first match. A damper is put on the mood when Madison Rayne arrives to mockingly congratulate Bailey on her win before telling her that her butterface can’t beat someone who is beautiful. Then, Rayne announces that the era of Mi Pi Sexy begins next week!

We go to the ring, where Vampiro is set to conduct a one-on-one interview with the former International Heavyweight Champion, Bret “The Hitman” Hart, who has some harsh words for the fans for turning their backs on him. He criticizes the moral makeup of today’s wrestling fans, who would rather cheer on “a couple of jackasses” like Edge & Christian because of their perceived level of coolness, even though they both have been nothing but low down dirty cheats over the last half a year. Hart says that the only other main event talent worthy of his respect is Chris Jericho, who grew up in Western Canada, learning the proper difference between what is right and what is wrong, something that Eastern Canadians seem to no longer know anything about. Finally, when asked to comment on setting the record for the longest International Heavyweight Championship title reign in AGPW history, the Hitman says that no one should question how he did it because he is the “Excellence of Execution.” He says that he did it the right way by never cheating and never ducking a challenge. He did it because he is the best there is, the best there was and the best there ever will be. He says that he would still be holding the title today had it not been for Edge & Christian’s bullshit. They stole something from him, which is why he and Jericho stopped them from winning the North American Tag Team Championships two weeks ago. He has no regrets about doing that because “it was the right thing to do.”

Third Match: The Acadian Giant is competing in front his hometown crowd against “Prince Pretty” Tyler Breeze. The Acadian Giant looks like he is twice the size of Breeze. That size advantage serves him well early on, as he just purely outmuscles the King of Cuteville. However, Breeze has a nasty streak that is just as big as the Giant is big in size and when he ducks a clothesline, he uses his speed advantage to dropkick him in the knee and, with the Giant down on one knee, give him a Supermodel Kick. It can’t put away the hometown hero. After some more futile attempts at winning, Breeze decides to rake the Giant’s eyes. With the referee’s attention focused on making sure that he is okay, Breeze goes to grab his selfie stick, presumably, to use as a weapon. The Acadian Giant’s current tag team partner, Cuban Assassin is at ringside and he grabs onto the selfie stick as Breeze tries to pick it up. After a brief tug of war, the Cuban Assassin gets control of the selfie stick and Breeze starts to really have a fit. Meanwhile, the Acadian Giant recovers, turns Breeze around and chokeslams him hard into the mat. 1-2-3! The Acadian Giant wins and makes his hometown fans happy!

Fourth Match: The fourth match of the night is also the fourth match of the best of seven series between Cesaro and Dean Malenko. Cesaro holds a 2-1 lead. Somewhat surprisingly, despite being down by one match and suffering two losses in a row, Malenko is not going all out to try to put Cesaro away. Instead, he lays back and lets Cesaro come to him, choosing instead to react to whatever he does. Having had a chance to become more familiar with his opponent, Malenko has great success with his strategy, as he seems to have a counter maneuver ready for everything that Cesaro tries. Cesaro struggles to string more than a few moves together at a time and when he tries something high risk to cement the advantage, it fails. He goes to the top rope and attempts a diving European uppercut, which Malenko counter into a falling neckbreaker. That one move sets the wind in Malenko’s sails and he never looks back. He sails on to victory following a trifecta of gutwrench powerbombs. The series is back to even at 2-2.

Gail Kim and Chyna come to the ring and cut a promo on Trish Stratus, calling her a poor sport for failing to accept the fact that Trish couldn’t beat Gail in a match at Mayhem in Montréal 2015, thus causing her to lash out and attack them last week. Gail challenges Trish to step inside of the ring and to look her in the face when she tries to get her revenge, claiming that she neither has the power nor the guts to do it.
This brings out Trish, who enters the ring and gets within a couple of feet of Gail, with Chyna standing close by. She shows no fear and tells Gail what she thinks of her. Chyna clenches her fists and approaches. Before this set up for an ambush can amount to anything, AGPW Women’s Champion Charlotte Flair surprises everyone by coming down to the ring to back up Trish. The crowd pops for that. Gail and Chyna tell Charlotte that this doesn’t concern her so it would be wise for her to leave or else they will have to make her leave. Before a fight gets started, Commissioner Billy two Rivers shows up and orders up a tag team match for next week: Charlotte Flair & Trish Stratus vs. Gail Kim & Chyna!

Fifth Match: “Macho Man” Randy Savage has his first match since the AGPW Summer Showdown. He returns to the ring against Jacques Rougeau and wins it by pinfall after hitting his famous diving elbow drop. After the match, the Macho Man cuts a promo touching on how he exacted his revenge on Batista at Mayhem in Montréal 2015 and addressing the threats to his health and his career that were made by Sensational Sherri last week. He puts no stock in them, instead saying that he wants another match against Batista. He’ll fight the Animal anytime, anywhere, and make him regret the day that he ever agreed to become a pawn in Sensational Sherri’s wicked game.

Sixth Match: Tonight’s main event features an excellent singles matchup between the Ultimo Dragon and Chris Jericho. Ultimo Dragon is the fan favourite, while Jericho has suddenly lost his popularity due to his association with Bret Hart and being on the opposite side of a feud with Edge and Christian, whose popularity grows with each passing week. This match keeps the fans on the edge of their seats. The high flying ability of both wrestlers keeps the fans fully engaged. Jericho is excellent a building heel heat by acting like a smarmy jackass. He chokes Ultimo Dragon, slaps him disrespectfully and tries pinning him with a foot on his chest while flexing his upper body. Ultimo Dragon responds with moves that Jericho can’t counter, like his Dragon combo, the Asai moonsault and a Dragon Bomb, which miraculously doesn’t win him the match. Jericho gives him a one-handed bulldog and the lionsault, but doesn’t win the match. He also tries for the Walls of Jericho, without success. He argues with the referee before going for the Codebreaker. Ultimo Dragon pushes Jericho away. He comes off of the ropes and tries for a flying forearm smash, but Ultimo Dragon ducks it and he nails the referee. Then, Ultimo Dragon executes a backstabber and a jumping inverted piledriver. He can’t win it with the referee knocked out. As he tries to revive the referee, Jericho crawls away and starts walking away from the ring until Edge and Christian show up and force him back into the ring where he falls victim to an Asai DDT and gets pinned for the 1-2-3! Edge and Christian seem pleased with themselves, but then they both get hit with a steel chair by Bret Hart. He drags them into the ring and puts Christian into a figure four leg lock wrapped around the ring post, while Jericho puts Edge in the Walls of Jericho. Both of them refuse to let go until they are forced to do so by security.
