First Match: The first match of the evening is the second match in a Best of Seven Series between Cesaro and Dean Malenko, as they both fight for respect and look for an opportunity breakout, as the winner of the series will earn the first International Heavyweight Championship title shot of 2016. This is a golden opportunity. The series began with a featured bout at Mayhem in Montréal 2015. In that contest, Dean Malenko emerged victorious to take a 1-0 lead. This match is almost every bit as good as the first one. Each wrestler has a deep arsenal of wrestling maneuvers and holds, which is evident as their second contest has a very different feel from the first one. While that one was somewhat slow and methodical, this one is quicker. Being eager to even the score not go into a two match deficit, Cesaro uses his speed and power to dictate the pace of this match, while Malenko is often times simply reacting to it. Is it little wonder, then, that Malenko is never truly able to gain a lengthy advantage, as he seems to have been completely thrown off of his game plan. His inability to gain control of the match for very long may have truly been his undoing, as Cesaro overwhelms him with his attack, finally scoring a victory off of the Very European Uppercut – an opponent lifted into a flapjack and falling into a European uppercut. The series is even at one win a piece.

The Centre of the Universe takes over the ring and they are receiving tons of cheers. Trish Stratus talks herself up and has some harsh words for Gail Kim and Chyna. One of these days, she’ll pay them back for what they did to her at Mayhem in Montréal 2015. Edge and Christian remain pissed off at Bret Hart and Chris Jericho. They take some time to make fun of Hart and Jericho before issuing a challenge to them for a match right here, right now. Commissioner Billy Two Rivers comes out and makes the unpopular announcement that neither Hart nor Jericho are in attendance tonight, before offering to give them a match against the North American Tag Team Champions in tonight’s main event. Edge and Christian accept and we’re going to have one hell of a title match later in the show!

Second Match: Pentagon Jr. makes his AGPW debut in a match against Sho Funaki of Kaientai. Funaki tries to give him a crane kick, but Pentagon Jr. avoids it and takes him down with a backstabber and then finishes him off with a Pentagon Driver (pumphandle half-nelson driver). Following the match, Pentagon Jr. grabs a microphone and announces that he wishes to please his master, so he must make a sacrifice to him. Then, he grabs Funaki by the arm at the wrist and hyperextends his elbow with a violent move that appears to rip his arm out of his socket. Funaki writhes in pain, as Pentagon Jr. proclaims that he has, “Cero Miedo!”

Third Match: Mad Dog and Butcher Vachon pop the fans in Québec by defending the pride and heritage of “La Belle Province” before their match against the turncoat Fabulous Rougeau Brothers, who prefer American culture to their old québecois heritage. This match was requested by the Rougeaus after the Vachons crashed their pro-USA party at Mayhem in Montréal 2015. The Fabulous Rougeau Brothers cheat their way to victory when Jacques Rougeau makes an illegal switch with his brother Raymond and executes a two-handed sit-out chokeslam on an unsuspecting Butcher Vachon. After the match, they earn further scorn from the fans by singing “America the Beautiful” in the centre of the ring, until Mad Dog Vachon knocks them both down with clothesline and makes them leave the ring.

North American Tag Team Champions Ted DiBiase & Alberto El Patron are interviewed by Jeremy Borash about their upcoming title defense, tonight. The Champions are not happy about being thrown into a title match at the last minute, but are ready to defend their titles because they’ve come to expect this kind of thing from the Commissioner, who they believe has been desperate to get the titles off of their waists ever since the day they won them. Edge & Christian will fail just like every other team before them because no one can match their wealth of talent.

SoCal Val is standing by to introduce us to AGPW newcomer, Bailey. Val asks her to tell all of the wrestling fans across Canada and throughout the Mash-Up Wrestling Universe about herself. Bailey says that she’s a lifelong wrestling fan who is very excited to have come to Canada to compete in the best women’s wrestling division in all of Mash-Up Wrestling. She cannot wait to have her debut match and start her path towards one day becoming the AGPW Women’s Champion. Then, suddenly, Madison Rayne walks in. Bailey is shocked at the sight of her and expresses a sentiment of fan-girl disbelief. Rayne tells SoCal Val that she’s here to give her a much bigger story than the one told be this fan-girl with a face that looks like it belong inside of a paper bag. She’s here to announce that the era of Mi Pi Sexy is about to begin. Then she notices that she has hurt Bailey’s feelings and laughs at her.

Fourth Match: The Canadian Earthquake is coming off of a huge debut with a victory over Rhino at Mayhem in Montréal 2015. Tonight, in just his second match in AGPW, he takes on the “Japanese Buzzsaw” Yoshihiro Tajiri, who is not afraid to lock up with him despite giving up more than twice his body weight in size to the big man from the West Coast. Earthquake makes it look easy in the early going, getting an immediately advantage on Tajiri by overpowering him into the corner and then crushing him into the turnbuckles with multiple butt bumps. Tajiri manages to make a comeback, using his quickness and his martial arts skills to pepper the big man with a variety of hand, elbow and foot strikes. However, Tajiri makes the big mistake of thinking that he might be able to get the Canadian Earthquake into a tarantula. The Canadian Earthquake’s size makes him too big for Tajiri to reach his feet. Then, the big man just pulls him into the ring and plants him with an Alabama slam! After that, he executes an Earthquake Splash to pick up the win.

Fifth Match: Edge & Christian come close to winning the North American Tag Team Titles against the current champions, “Million Dollar Man” Ted DiBiase & Alberto El Patron, in an exciting 15-minute main event match that ends in a disqualification when Bret “The Hitman” Hart and Chris Jericho come to the ring and attack Edge and Christian in plain view of the referee. This happened just as Christian was getting ready to cover DiBiase after giving him the Unprettier, which came just seconds after Edge gave El Patron a spear. Hart and Jericho earn major heel heat for preventing Edge and Christian from becoming the new champions with their attack that ends with both of Edge and Christian receiving the original double-team version of the Hart Attack.

Before the show goes off of the air, “Dawn” by Richard Strauss hits the stadium P.A. and, after a few suspenseful moments, the new Mash-Up World Champion, “Nature Boy” Ric Flair makes his way down to the ring, accompanied by his Mount Rushmore of Wrestling compatriots, Adam Cole, Gino Hernandez and Sable. Flair comes out to celebrate and brag about becoming the World Champion of Mash-Up Wrestling. In true “Nature Boy” fashion, Flair invites the French women in the front row to come back to the Marriott with him after the show, brags about being “The Man,” and talks about how his shoes cost more than AGPW commentator Ed Whalen’s 2-storey home in Calgary, before finally getting to the real reason why he has come here, tonight. Flair reminds us that at last year’s War on the East Coast in Boston, Massachusetts, Flair and Joe had a 5-star classic that ended with Joe getting the victory. He admits that on that might, Joe was the better man. However, since then, Flair has risen to the top of the Mash-Up Wrestling Universe. He has the hardware to prove it. Now, he wants a rematch to show the world who the real man is. Because to be the man, you’ve got to beat the man. Flair’s title says that he’s the man, but he has some unfinished business in AGPW and that is to beat the man that beat him at last year’s War on the East Coast. Therefore, Flair says that he wants to give Joe the first opportunity to wrestle for the World Title, if he wants it. He will put the World Title on the line, but the “Nature Boy” also wants Samoa Joe to put the International Heavyweight Championship title on the line in a champion versus champion, title-for-title main event at War on the East Coast. “Samoa Joe, do you want to be ‘the man’? You have one week to decide. Wooooo!”
