Petey Williams vs. Leo Burke
This match is a fun way to open the show. “Maple Leaf Muscle” Petey Williams may be small in stature, but he knows how to win. He’s a 2-time TNA X-Division Champion. Leo Burke is a Canadian wrestling legend with multiple title reigns on his belt from across the country, as well as having won titles in the United States and as far away as in New Zealand. Burke uses his size advantage in the early going to take control of the match. He employs a mat based game to keep the quick, high risk taker grounded. However, Burke makes a mistake by going for a powerbomb too soon. Williams counters it with a hurricanrana. Next, Williams takes Burke down with tilt-a-whirl headscissors and then a flying forearm smash that knocks Burke right out of the ring. Williams takes a high risk by going for a slingshot corkscrew crossbody to the outside and it pays off. When he takes Burke back into the ring, he gives him a slingshot tornado DDT that nearly wins him the match. When Williams goes for a Russian legsweep, Burke blocks it with a back elbow smash to his face and then gives Williams some rolling German suplexes! After that, Burke gives Williams a fold-up powerbomb and sticks his feet up on the middle rope just to make sure he won’t kick out. 1…2…3!
Official Decision: Leo Burke wins by pinfall at 7:18
Leo Burke steals the win in tonight’s opening match.
When Leo Burke has his hand raised by the referee, his music is cut off. At the entrance set, we see AGPW backstage correspondent Jeremy Borash and standing beside him is the Cuban Assassin. Borash announces that the Cuban Assassin has handed him a note to read with a message specifically for Leo Burke. It says that he crossed the wrong man when he smashed him in the face with a pair of brassknuckles in the Rocky Mountain Warfare match, costing him his chance at glory. Even since then, things of escalated with Burke committing several unjust acts of violence against him. These acts will not go unpunished. President Raul Castro of the Republic of Cuba has authorized him to eliminate Burke on his quest for Mash-Up Wrestling greatness. Therefore, at JOURNEY TO GREATNESS 2015, as the Cuban Assassin will meet Leo Burke in the ring to settle things once and for all in a Havana Street Fight!

North American Tag Team Champions: Alberto El Patron & “Million Dollar Man” Ted DiBiase
The North American Tag Team Champions, charter members of the IMF, Alberto El Patron & “Million Dollar Man” Ted DiBiase come to the ring to denounce and protest Commissioner Billy Two Rivers’ decision to force them into action against three tag teams at once. They claim that proper protocol was not followed, nor adhered to in the decision, citing the AGPW rules & regulations, which require that one tag team be deemed the clear number one contender and argue that any special guest referee assigned to their match must have a valid officiating license as issued by the Ontario Athletic Commission in order to referee their match at JOURNEY TO GREATNESS 2015.
Commissioner Billy Two Rivers comes out and personally hand delivers a copy of the rules & regulations. He tells them to study it and if they find a rule that states that more than one tag team cannot contest for the tag team titles at once, he’ll change the match. However, until then, the match will remain a fatal fourway as all three challenging teams has an equal and valid claim to be the number one contenders for the titles. Furthermore, whereas there is a cloud of suspicion that hangs over the AGPW referee corps, as rumours persist that the IMF has bought favour within the ranks, Two Rivers has gone to great lengths to find a special guest referee for the match who will undoubtedly remain impartial and whose favour will not be bought by international money men. He reveals that former NWA World Heavyweight Champion, personal Canadian bodyguard of Elvis Presley and Greater Toronto Area wrestling legend, “Whipper” Billy Watson will officiate the match!
Watson appears and receives a standing ovation from the fans. He brings with him his valid officiating license issued by the Ontario Athletic Commission. Then, Two Rivers announces that get Watson acclimated to AGPW officiating duty, he’s going to get Watson’s feet wet by assigning him two matches to officiate tonight – a pair of fatal fourway matches featuring one member from each of the teams participating in the JOURNEY TO GREATNESS 2015 North American Tag Team Title fatal fourway elimination match, and the first of those matches starts right now!

Fatal Fourway Match
Ted DiBiase vs. Taz vs. Davey Boy Smith vs. Jacques Rougeau
Ted DiBiase vs. Taz vs. Davey Boy Smith vs. Jacques Rougeau
“Whipper” Billy Watson springs into action immediately upon making his first appearance in AGPW. He has to officiate this match between four of the men that will be the North American Tag Team Championship match that he will officiate at JOURNEY TO GREATNESS 2015. That match will be an elimination style fatal fourway, whereas this singles bout and the one that he will referee later in the show are both one fall to a finish. This is a fast paced match that leaves very little space for rest holds. Each brings a well-rounded game into this bout, with Ted DiBiase owning a slight advantage in technical wrestling, Taz owning the advantage of being both a human suplex machine and the most dangerous man in the match, Davey Boy Smith being the most powerful wrestler in the ring and Jacques Rougeau being the most adept at taking high risks. Rougeau exploits this advantage at various points in the match to give DiBiase a missile dropkick, Smith a diving clothesline, and Taz a diving elbow drop. Smith leverages his power advantage to give Rougeau a very long delayed vertical suplex, DiBiase a superplex and Taz the running powerslam. Taz suplexes everyone in sight, and goes on an uninterrupted string of nine suplexes – starting with release German suplexes for everyone, then overhead belly-to-belly suplexes to everyone and ending with exploder suplexes for everyone. DiBiase comes close to winning the match by nearly getting Rougeau to tap to a Boston crab and by putting Smith to sleep in the Million Dollar Dream, only to have it broken up by Taz before he could collect the win. One cool spot near the end of the match sees Taz apply the Tazmission to Smith and then DiBiase put Taz in the Million Dollar Dream! Rougeau stops the match from ending by dropkicking DiBiase in the back and causing everyone to fall over. Then, Rougeau gives Smith a two-handed sit-out chokeslam to collect the 3-count and pick up the victory.
Official Decision: Jacques Rougeau wins by pinfall at 13:21
Jacques Rougeau earns the win, giving the Fabulous Rougeau Brothers momentum going into
the North American Tag Team Title fatal fourway elimination match at JOURNEY TO GREATNESS 2015.
*Commercial Break 3*
Chris Candido vs. Tyler Breeze
Tyler Breeze is a fresh face on the Atlantic Grand Prix Wrestling scene. He made a strong showing in his debut in the Rocky Mountain Warfare match and has since gone on to beat with members of Kaientai. Chris Candido has been a company mainstay, but his win-loss record has been nothing to boast about. He is a talented wrestler with a great deal of misfortune. Here, he puts up a solid fight against the Defition of Delish. However, Breeze has an answer for each of his offensive flurries. In the end, Breeze avoids a New Jersey Jam and then wins the match by executing an implant DDT on Candido, followed by a Beauty Shot.
Official Decision: Tyler Breeze wins by pinfall at 5:23
The King of Cuteville is building a winning streak.
*Commercial Break 4*
“Macho Man” Randy Savage vs. Killer Kowalski
“Macho Man” Randy Savage solidified his spot as the #1 contender to the Mash-Up World Heavyweight Champion when he defeated his Rocky Mountain Warfare runner-up, Christian Cage, at the last special 3-hour edition of The Titans of Grand Prix, three weeks ago in Montréal. Following the match, he should hands with Mash-Up World Heavyweight Champion CM Punk, who then knocked him out cold with his Go to Sleep finishing maneuver. Savage responded with a brutal attack on Punk the following week. It seems as though the Macho Madness is unleashed. Killer Kowalski is fresh off of a short stop in the main event, headlining shows against International Heavyweight Champion Bret “The Hitman” Hart. Last week, he brawled with Rhino to a double countout draw. Kowalski is a tough opponent and he pummels the Macho Man pretty early on, but there are clear signs that the wild side of the Macho Man is no longer contained, as he quickly fires back at his much larger opponent, brutalizing him with elbow smashes and double axehandle smashes galore. Macho Man stuns Kowalski by giving him cross-corner whips and hitting him in the face with running high knee lifts. A hair-pull hangman knocks the big man down on his back. However, Kowalski ends Macho Man’s advantage by countering a diving double axehandle smash with a fist to the jaw! Kowalski punishes the Macho Man with some knee drops and then gives him a side belly-to-belly suplex to earn a 2-count. Later on, Kowalski locks on a sleeperhold that Savage eventually breaks with a side belly-to-back suplex. A battle of fisticuffs is won by Kowalski, but after whipping the Macho Man into the corner, Kowalski eats a boot to the face when he charges at him, and then he gets knocked down with a hard running lariat. Upon getting up, Kowalski is greeted with rapid fire jabs to the head and chest and then a clothesline to the floor. The Macho Man and Kowalski brawl on the outside, with both men taking some licks, but Kowalski ends up the worse for wear when he’s given a vertical suplex on the floor! After rolling him back into the ring, the Macho Man climbs the turnbuckle and executes a diving crossbody. Next, he hits Kowalski with a high knee to the face and then gives him a scoopslam. He goes to the top rope and finishes him off with a diving elbow drop. 1…2…3!
Official Decision: “Macho Man” Randy Savage wins by pinfall at 10:47
Following the match, “Macho Man” Randy Savage grabs a microphone and cuts a quick promo stating that what he said last week rings true: the cream always rises to the top and it is propelled there by Macho Madness. CM Punk has stepped inside of a world he knows nothing about and there is nothing he can do to stop the Macho Man from becoming the Mash-Up World Heavyweight Champion because the Macho Man is the cream of the crop!
The next stop for the Macho Man is the main event of JOURNEY TO GREATNESS 2015.
Will there be a new Mash-Up World Heavyweight Champion? Tune in on June 21 to find out!
*Commercial Break 5*
Rusev is mighty and strong, and he pledges to conquer the tiny, weak Isle of Samoa.
Rusev and Prince Nana take over the ring to promote the IMF’s mission of conquering the Mash-Up Wrestling Universe. Prince Nana claims that IMF money will flood into those nations and those (wrestling) territories that recognize that it is the way of the future. However, those nations and territories that wish to fight against it will suffer and fall. They will be crushed under the weight of the machine that it cannot stop. That machine is the IMF. And the first nation to fall will be the tiny Isle of Samoa, as represented by its much celebrated and vaunted gladiator, the Samoan Submission Machine – Samoa Joe! Rusev, the most dangerous and ruthless competitor that has ever stepped inside of a wrestling ring, says that the Isle of Samoa, like its favourite gladiator, Samoa Joe, is weak. He has made a big mistake by asking to fight him. He would be wise to stand down and admit that he cannot match up against the Super Athlete and offers him the opportunity to do so right now or else he seals his fate of being crushed under the might of the power of Rusev and the IMF.
Samoa Joe comes to the ring and shows no fear. Without even the slightest of trepidation, he enters the ring and stands about three feet away from Rusev, who starts screaming at Joe to stand down or be crushed. Joe looks him square in the eye and, after pausing for a moment and without saying a word, he slowly raises his left hand and makes the throat-slashing hand gesture to signal that Joe’s Gonna Kill You! Rusev boils over in anger and charges at Joe, but gets a bunch of jabs to the face. Joe lifts him up and gives him an inverted atomic drop and runs to the ropes, but Rusev takes him down with a spinning heel kick. Rusev grabs Joe in the set up for his swinging side slam, but Joe blocks it with some back elbows to the side of the head and then gets Rusev caught in the Coquina Clutch! Prince Nana is losing his mind, shouting over the microphone for officials to break this up. Joe keeps the hold locked in and gets Rusev wrapped in a body scissors and he refuses to let go until half a dozen AGPW referees force him to let go. It looks as though Samoa Joe is ready to battle Rusev at JOURNEY TO GREATNESS 2015!
Samoa Joe has no fear and he’s ready to show us why he’s still the most dangerous grappler in AGPW.
*Commercial Break 6*
Dean Malenko vs. Test
Edge & Christian’s problem solver, Test steps into the ring for a match against the Man of 1000 Holds, the “Iceman” Dean Malenko, who has been on a losing streak as of late. The inspirational Bo Dallas joins Ed Whalen and Lord Alfred Hayes on commentary and explains that he’s trying to help coach Malenko back into the champion he once was. Malenko does a good job of stymieing Test’s offense at the beginning of the match, but the big man gets back into the match with a boot to the face of Malenko, while he’s stuck in the corner, and then a hard running clothesline. From there, Test hits some power moves, including a tilt-a-whirl backbreaker, a flapjack and a pumphandle slam. However, he can’t put away Malenko, who battles back after getting placed on the top turnbuckle. He blocks Test’s superplex attempt, shoves him to the mat and executes a diving hurricanrana! From there, Malenko gets in the zone, executing a leg lariat, snap suplex, gutwrench powerbomb and a butterfly suplex. Malenko puts Test in the Texas cloverleaf. He seems moments away from snapping his losing streak, but then Dallas gets up from the commentary table, hops onto the ring apron and jumps up and down in a celebratory manner while screaming “You can do it, Iceman! BOLIEVE in yourself! BOLIEVE! BOLIEVE! BOLIEVE!” This causes the referee to look away and tell Dallas to get down. Consequently, he misses it when Test starts tapping out. Malenko breaks the hold and goes over to tell Dallas to stop interrupting the match. An argument breaks out, with Dallas claiming that he’s trying to help Malenko find the will to win. Dallas ends up shoving Malenko, who in return knocks him off of the ring apron. Upon turning his attention back to his opponent, Malenko gets run over by a running big boot. Test goes for the quick pin. 1…2…3!
Official Decision: Test wins by pinfall at 5:39
Test picks up the win thanks to the distraction from Bo Dallas.
Post-match, Dallas comes into the ring and levels Malenko with a short-arm clothesline. He stomps away at him, then takes his t-shirt off and uses it to choke out Malenko while screaming at him that he’s a pathetic loser and that all he had to do was BOLIEVE. A few officials pull Dallas off of Malenko. He looks down at Malenko with a deep look of contempt on his face. Then, he appears to snap out of it and smiles when he looks out to the crowd. Dallas leaves the ring and works his way around ringside, giving fans the thumbs up, smiling at them and shaking hands with some of them. Malenko is struggling to get his air back, but he gets a microphone, anyhow. He gets Dallas’ attention, telling him that if he thinks Malenko is such a big loser, then he should prove it by beating him in a match at JOURNEY TO GREATNESS 2015.

Fatal Fourway Match
Alberto El Patron vs. Cesaro vs. Dynamite Kid vs. Raymond Rougeau
Alberto El Patron vs. Cesaro vs. Dynamite Kid vs. Raymond Rougeau
“Whipper” Billy Watson is back in the ring to officiate the second of two fatal fourway matches between members of the tag teams that will compete for the North American Tag Team Titles at JOURNEY TO GREATNESS 2015 (a match that he will also referee). Before the match begins, Watson gets an earful from Alberto El Patron about what he perceives to have been shoddy officiating in the earlier fatal fourway bought that saw Jacques Rougeau walk away with the victory. Here, we get a matchup featuring four very talented individuals. Again, these are four athletically gifted wrestlers. Alberto El Patron would enjoy an advantage in quick strike offense, having been trained in lucha libre and mixed martial arts. Cesaro enjoys a power and strength advantage. Dynamite Kid is probably the quickest wrestler in the match and most willing to take high risks. Raymond Rougeau is very technically sound and knows the most submission holds of the four men in this contest. Like the previous fatal fourway match, the action moves briskly with few lulls, thanks in part to the one fall to finish rule and the number of participants. Whereas the previous match managed to stay inside of the ring, this one finds its way to the floor for a solid two minutes, starting with Cesaro dumping Rougeau to the outside with a clothesline. He would follow him out with a diving axehandle smash from the ring apron. El Patron takes the two of them out with a suicide dive. Then, the Dynamite Kid takes out all three of them with a slingshot diving crossbody. A fair bit of brawling takes place on the outside of the ring. When they come back into the ring, Cesaro sends Rougeau for a ride on the Cesaro Swing. El Patron takes Dynamite Kid from the top turnbuckle to the mat with an inverted superplex! Towards the end of the match, Cesaro drills Rougeau with a Very European Uppercut (flapjack into a European uppercut), but then he receives a backstabber followed by the cross armbreaker from El Patron. Before he can get submission victory, Dynamite Kid breaks it up with a diving headbutt from the top rope! Rougeau clotheslines Cesaro out of the ring as Dynamite Kid sends El Patron to the outside with a dropkick. Rougeau tries to give Dynamite Kid a running clothesline, but he ducks it and stuns Rougeau with a jumping sole kick before scooping him up and executing a kneeling reverse piledriver. 1…2…3! Dynamite Kid gets the win just before El Patron can get back into the ring. Dynamite Kid celebrates while El Patron argues with Watson, telling him he did a poor job and that he better learn how to call a match before the next time he officiates.
Official Decision: Dynamite Kid wins by pinfall at 11:57
Dynamite Kid earns the win, giving the British Bulldogs momentum going into
the North American Tag Team Title fatal fourway elimination match at JOURNEY TO GREATNESS 2015.
*Commercial Break 8*
CM Punk vs. Rhino
CM Punk enters the ring with a very dangerous opponent in Rhino. Should Rhino win this non-title match, he would surely raise his stock and merit a future title shot against CM Punk for his Mash-Up World Heavyweight Championship. However, the self-proclaimed Best in the World, puts on a spirited performance to counteract Rhino’s powerful aggression. Rhino starts the match like a bullet train with no brakes. He pounds CM Punk down into the mat and makes the World Champion look weak. However, moving out of the way of a charging shoulder tackle in the corner, brings Punk back into the match. After Rhino’s shoulder hit the turnbuckle post, he gets hit with a series of muay thai kicks and then some arm trap elbow smashes. CM Punk threatens to make Rhino submit to the Koji Clutch, but Rhino is able to escape by getting his foot on the bottom rope. Punk stays on him with a step-up high knee followed by a running bulldog. However, when he goes for a diving crossbody off of the top rope, Rhino catches him, gives him a backbreaker, holds onto him and gives him a fallaway slam. Rhino builds some momentum back with some running lariats, a spinning spinebuster and his side belly-to-belly suplex/throw. Rhino prepares to GORE! Punk, but he gets a spinning back kick and then the Pepsi Twist. After that, Punk lifts Rhino into a fireman’s carry, but he elbows Punk in the side of the head. Punk ducks a clothesline and gives him a release German suplex. As Rhino gets up, Punk lifts him back onto his shoulders and gives him Go to Sleep! Instead of pinning Rhino, he stops, flashes a cocky grin and climbs the turnbuckles, points up to the heavens and executes the Macho Man’s diving elbow drop. 1…2…3!
Official Decision: CM Punk wins by pinfall at 8:50
Following the match, CM Punk is going for a microphone and as he does, he gets attacked from behind by “Macho Man” Randy Savage who ran down to the ring like a bolt of lightning. Savage is screaming at Punk for stealing his moves and calls him a piece of trash. Savage gives him a hairpull hangman and then climbs the turnbuckle to give him the diving elbow drop, but Punk rolls to the far end of the ring and out. He collects his title from the time keeper and grabs the microphone and cuts a quick promo about how easy it was to uncork the bottle that Savage was using to keep the Macho Madness contained. He says that the Macho Madness makes him weak and he’ll prove it when he beats him at JOURNEY TO GREATNESS 2015 because CM Punk is the Best in the World and the Macho Man is not!
The next stop for CM Punk is the main event of JOURNEY TO GREATNESS 2015, where he will defend his Mash-Up World Heavyweight Championship Title.
Will CM Punk remain the Best in the World or will he be overcome by Macho Madness? Tune in on June 21 to find out!

Christian Cage, Edge, Trish Stratus and Test are the Centre of the Universe!
The Centre of the Universe has assembled on one of our backstage interview sets. The group of Toronto natives, consisting of Edge, Christian, Trish Stratus and Test, is with AGPW senior backstage correspondent Jeremy Borash. Edge and Christian are set to reunite and team together for the first time in Mash-Up Wrestling history in tonight’s main event against Bret and Owen Hart, who they targeted last week for a set of their patented con-chair-to performances, that is, until Chris Jericho showed up and ripped through the Centre of the Universe like a tornado. The group cuts a promo where the message is clear: it is hell bent on proving to the world that the Mash-Up Wrestling Universe revolves around it – after all, it is its centre – and Edge and Christian will show the world why they are widely regarded as one of the very best, if not THE BEST, tag teams in professional wrestling history. They will make the Hart Brothers look like a couple of chumps and throw them out like yesterday’s garbage. This match will serve as a preview of what will happen when Christian enters the ring against The Hitman at JOURNEY TO GREATNESS 2015 and becomes the first 2-time International Heavyweight Champion. It will also serve as a preview of what will happen when Edge meets Chris Jericho at the same event. Edge says that tonight, he wants Chris Jericho to pay close attention to this match because he’s going to do to Owen Hart what he’ll do to Jericho at JOURNEY TO GREATNESS 2015, and that is end his career. And the end won’t be pretty. It will be Rated-R.
The Hart Brothers have back up for the main event.
We get a backstage interview with SoCal Val interviewing Bret and Owen Hart, who are accompanied by Chris Jericho. They talk about how they’ve been preparing for this match ever since it was announced last week. Test. They know that the Centre of the Universe will be looking to make a statement in this match and will be seeking to avenge themselves for having failed to succeed in destroying them and for having been embarrassed by Chris Jericho, last week. That’s why Chris Jericho will be acting as their back up by joining them at ringside to counteract the presence of Edge and Christian’s problem solver, Test. Jericho is asked if he should risk getting involved in tonight’s main event given that he hasn’t been cleared to compete by doctors. Jericho isn’t concerned about that. He might not have been cleared to compete, but he says that when he’s angry, he’s more dangerous at 50% than most people are at 100%. Whatever happens tonight won’t prevent him from being able to face Edge at JOURNEY TO GREATNESS 2015. Just as it seems as though the interview is going to end, AJ Lee shows up and offers to join them at ringside to counteract the presence of Trish Stratus, who is devious enough to be a real difference maker. With Natalya Neidhart set to wrestle Awesome Kong for the Women’s Championship just before the main event, she won’t be available to join them. The offer is accepted. Tonight’s main event is shaping up to look like a powder keg!

Women’s Championship Title Match
Awesome Kong vs. Natalya Neidhart
Awesome Kong vs. Natalya Neidhart
Awesome Kong has been the definition of a fighting champion since winning the Women’s Championship. She has certainly earned that moniker as of late, defending the title on a near weekly basis. She’s probably beaten every woman on the AGPW roster. However, she hasn’t wrestled against Natalya in a long time and she’s one of the few women in AGPW that she has not yet wrestled in a title defense. That changes right here, tonight, with both women locking up to do battle. Awesome Kong enjoys a power advantage over every women in the locker room, but that advantage isn’t as pronounced as usual when she’s in the ring with Natalya, who possess a nice balance between power and technical prowess. Her toughness and power is put on display when she stands her ground, going blow to blow with Kong and even backing her into a corner. Natalya further shows off her power by lifting Kong off of the ground and executing a belly-to-back suplex on her, which impresses the crowd. When Natalya tries to end the match with her Nattie by Nature discus clothesline, Kong ducks it and then makes her pay with a kick to the midsection and a DDT. Kong builds momentum off of those moves, showing off her impressive power by giving Natalya a military press slam and a spinebuster. When Kong climbs the turnbuckle, Natalya gets up and meets her at the top. Natalya attempts a superplex, but Kong is too big to lift. Kong knocks her down to the mat and goes for an Awesome Splash. Natalya rolls out of the way and then tries to apply the Sharpshooter, but Kong kicks her away, but then Natalya takes Kong off of her feet with Nattie by Nature. She covers. 1…2… kick out! Kong rolls out to the ring apron after kicking out (a smart veteran move). When she gets up, she gives Nattie a hangman on the rope, then comes into the ring and drops her with a hard clothesline. After that Kong executes a chokeslam and then goes up to the top rope and executes the Awesome Splash! 1…2…3! Awesome Kong wins again!
Official Decision: Awesome Kong wins by pinfall at 9:26
Awesome Kong is a dominant Women’s Champion and a division killer!
Awesome Kong grabs a microphone and says that after beating Natalya, there is no one left for her to beat. She’s beaten everyone in the division and has successful title defenses against all of the top female wrestlers in the world. Since the last AGPW supercard, SPRING SLAUGHTER, Kong has retained her title in matches against Jazz, Paige, Ivelisse Vélez, Charlotte Flair and now Natalya Neidhart. She says that none of the stood a chance of winning the title against her one-on-one. In fact, she says, she could face all five of them at once and it still wouldn’t be a challenge. Hearing that last comment brings Commissioner Billy Two Rivers out. He says that AGPW can’t hold its biggest show of the year without having the Women’s Champion present and without the Women’s Championship Title being defended. Because Kong claims that she could beat Jazz, Paige, Ivelisse, Charlotte and Natalya all at once and the fans would love to find out if Kong truly is that much of a dominant Women’s Champion and division killer, he’s going to give her the opportunity to make good on what she says by having Kong defend her titles against all five of them in a ladder match!

Bret Hart & Owen Hart vs. Edge & Christian
The various elements that have come together for tonight’s main event makes it highly unlikely that we’ll get to see a clean finish. This match is like a powder keg waiting to explode. You’ve got Bret and Owen Hart teaming up to face Edge and Christian in their first match together as a tag team in Mash-Up Wrestling history! Plus, Chris Jericho and AJ Lee have joined the Harts at ringside to counteract the presence of Test and Trish Stratus, who are in the corner of Edge and Christian. The subtext to this match is that putting all eight of these individuals on centre stage at the same time is bound to make their various rivalries grow more contentious by the end of the night. Although it took some time to get the extras to settled down and leave the ring, the match starts out innocently enough as Owen and edge feel each other out and trade holds. Edge and Christian get a brief advantage over Owen, but he storms back into the match by countering an Irish whip attempt by Christian and taking him down with a spinning heel kick. After executing a bridging northern lights suplex for a 2-count, Owen tags Bret into the match and he takes control, giving us a bit of a preview of what may be in store for Christian when they face each other next week. However, Christian is saved from being embarrassed when he counters a whip attempt and Edge kicks Bret in the back as he bounces off of the ropes, leaving him to fall pray to an inverted facelock backbreaker. Edge and Christian then take turns wearing down The Hitman. They work him over for a good long while.
However, the fireworks everyone was waiting for finally erupt when Edge flips The Hitman over into a Boston crab. He crawls to the ropes, but Stratus is there and she waits for Christian to create a brief diversion to elbow him in the face as he reaches the ropes. This causes AJ Lee, Test and Chris Jericho to run over and start fighting. While the referee is distracted, Owen jumps into the ring to break up a double team attack on his brother, which leads to Bret finally getting a chance to tag out. Owen comes in after the hot tag, but the referee forces him back to his corner, as he did not see the tag. While they argue, Christian sneak attacks Bret by giving him a spear! Then, Owen turns into a spear from Edge. He then quickly tags in Christian, who gives Bret a frog splash. Before Christian can make the pin, Jericho enters the ring, grabs Christian from behind and throws him out of the ring. Edge comes charges at him, but he gets a Codebreaker! The referee calls for the end of the match and awards it to Edge and Christian.
Official Decision: Edge & Christian win by disqualification at 8:55
Edge and Christian win the match, but lose tonight’s battle, along with Test and Trish Stratus.
Although the match has ended, the action continues, as Owen Hart and Test get into a brawl, with Test whipping Owen into the guardrail, but then getting back body dropped into the front row. Chris Jericho continues his assault on Edge, taking it as far as to give him a double underhook powerbomb through one of the ringside broadcast tables! Trish Stratus tries to give Bret Hart a Chick Kick, but he blocks it with his hands. As he stares her down, Christian comes into the ring with a steel chair, but he gets it driven back into his face by AJ Lee with a missile dropkick off of the top rope! Bret turns to see what had happened and Stratus uses the opening to drop him with a Chick Kick! Then, she tries to attack AJ, but ends up in the Black Widow. She starts tapping out, perhaps foretelling what she might do when they face each other inside of a steel cage, next week! When AJ lets Trish go, she joins Owen and Jericho as they help The Hitman up. Centre of the Universe has been conquered tonight, but could they get their revenge at JOURNEY TO GREATNESS 2015? You had better tune in to find out!
Although the match was officially lost, tonight’s battle was won by Bret Hart, Owen Hart, Chris Jericho and AJ Lee.
