Ultimo Dragon vs. Lance Storm Lance Storm is a man with something to prove. When he unilaterally chose to split up his long standing tag team with Tyson Kidd, he wanted to prove that he was better on his own. Eventually, he decided that he needed to prove himself better than Kidd. Unfortunately for him, he lost to Kidd in a match at
HELLFIRE IN HALIFAX. In the weeks following that loss, Storm has talked about how he wants to prove that he is the best Canadian wrestler alive today. After defeating a pair of Canadian jobbers in Biff Wellington and Chi Chi Cruz, he claimed – in all seriousness – that he was the best Canadian wrestler alive today and that he was now setting out to prove that he was the best wrestler in the world. Last week, on
The Titans of Grand Prix, he issues an open challenge, which was answered by the Ultimo Dragon. Storm backed out of the match after only three minutes of action, forfeiting the match and claiming that he suffered a calf muscle injury. He said that they would have to reschedule the match for another time. Commissioner Billy Two Rivers decided that
SPRING SLAUGHTER seemed like a good time to reschedule the bout. After hearing that, Storm’s injury seemed to miraculously heal and he attacked Ultimo Dragon with a steel chair, as he stood on a turnbuckle to celebrate his win. This match promises to be an excellent show opener and marks Ultimo Dragon’s AGPW supercard debut.

No Disqualification Match
Big E. Langston vs. Leo Burke This feud originated with a decision by Commissioner Billy Two Rivers to send his helping hand, Big E. Langston, out to the ring to save Leo Burke from certain destruction at the hands of Rusev, after he’d already lost a match to the Bulgarian Brute. Langston and Rusev would then face each other in a match at
WINTER WARFARE, with Burke accompanying Langston to the ring and costing him the match by socking him in the mouth with brass knuckles. Langston didn’t take kindly to being duped into thinking Burke had his back or that he became a nuisance for the Commissioner. They had a match last month at
HELLFIRE IN HALIFAX. Burke won the match, but didn’t do it without the help of foreign objects. Their feud has carried over into April and now Langston has the opportunity to avenge his loss a month ago in a No Disqualification Match.

North American Tag Team Championship Title Match
Tazaro: Taz & Cesaro {C} vs. IMF: “Million Dollar Man” Ted DiBiase & Alberto El Patron “Million Dollar Man” Ted DiBiase and Alberto El Patron have been competing as a tag team over the past month. After earning victories against Kaientai, the Cuban Assassins and a win in a fatal fourway tag team match featuring the British Bulldogs, Rougeau Brothers and Vitamin C, DiBiase and El Patron challenged Tazaro to defend the North American Tag Team Titles against them. Taz and Cesaro, who fear no challenges, no matter how physically or financially imposing the challengers may be, accepted the challenge. It looked like the challenge may have come too soon for the new team as, two weeks ago, in singles competition, Taz made DiBiase submit to the Tazmission. However, last week, the IMF bounced back when El Patron made Cesaro submit to the Cross Armbreaker. After splitting singles matches, this match is either team’s to win.
VS.
AJ Lee vs. “Sensational” Sherri The week after
HELLFIRE IN HALIFAX, Trish Stratus invited AJ Lee out to the ring the berate her and to try to publicly humiliate her for not winning the AGPW Women’s Championship. Stratus said some very harsh things to Lee, which both confused and upset her. Of course, what sent Lee over the edge was learning that they were never really besties and that Stratus thought that she was mentally unstable – crazy. Stratus was getting ready to Lee a parting gift, but at that moment Lee snapped and humiliated Stratus by putting her in the Black Widow and then throwing Stratus’ own bucket of mud on her, turning back into a fan favourite in the process.
Meanwhile, in last week’s episode of
The Titans of Grand Prix, “Macho Man” Randy Savage made his surprise return to AGPW. He was introduced by AGPW Commissioner Billy Two Rivers, who announces that Savage’s indefinite suspension had been lifted, thanks in part to him having gotten over his delusions of being the king of professional wrestling and owing to the fact that he was no longer associated with “Sensational” Sherri – see: BCCW Fight Night Special (Guerrero vs. Savage II). Upon his return, “Macho Man” was invited to join Ed Whalen and Lord Alfred Hayes on colour commentary for the remainder of the evening. Following a match between AJ Lee and Ivelisse Vélez, the Macho Man opined that much like himself, AJ Lee was a woman who understood the madness and knew how to harness it as a way to propel her to victory. Lee, who was skipping around the ring after her win, overheard the comment and appeared at first to be deeply offended. But then she decided to make out with the Macho Man. Before long, a jealous “Sensational” Sherri hopped over the guardrail and attacked Lee. An intense cat fight ensued. When the two women were finally pulled apart, Sherri was vowing to destroy Lee for making a move on her man. Lee would then demand to have Sherri reinstated from her suspension so that she could pay her back for the attack.
VS.
Rhino vs. Rusev Rhino and Rusev have been engaged in a bitter feud for over a month now. It all began when Rusev’s IMF colleague, Alberto El Patron, made his AGPW debut, issuing an open challenge to anyone. Rhino answered that challenge and eventually joined his friends Christian Cage and Chris Jericho to compete in a 6-man tag team match against the entire International Ministry of Finance at
HELLFIRE IN HALIFAX. The match was won by the IMF. However, neither Rhino nor Rusev factored into the final decision, as they had brawled away from ringside, up the entrance ramp and all the way into the backstage areas. In the weeks since then, Prince Nana and Rusev have made it their mission to destroy Rhino. Beginning with hyperbolic rhetoric about how the Super Athlete can conquer anyone and anything, including Man-Beasts, Prince Nana and Rusev would eventually up the ante by orchestrating a hit-and-run attack on Rhino while he was being interviewed by Jeremy Borash. Rhino, meanwhile, has not been afraid to face this impending threat head on. In addition to racking up quick victories over each of his opponents over the past month, Rhino has heard the increasingly pompous speeches from Nana and has offered to wrestle Rusev on more than one occasion. While that has yet to happen, their one-on-one battle is set to take place at
SPRING SLAUGHTER, and it promises to be a slobberknocker!

International Heavyweight Championship #1 Contender’s Match
Chris Jericho vs. Christian Cage Chris Jericho and Christian Cage have been partners and friends for a long time. Together, they were key defenders of AGPW in the war against the Illuminati’s AGPW-wing, Californiacation. At
WAR ON THE EAST COAST, they were instrumental in finally eliminating that cancer from the territory when they won a Losers Leave Town Ultimate X match versus Bad Influence (Christopher Daniels & Kazarian). Then, just a month ago, they became embroiled in a feud against the IMF. Their relationship began to fray the week after
HELLFIRE IN HALIFAX, when they were in a backstage interview with SoCal Val. During the interview, which came moments after Steve Corino went to the ring to demand a title shot against Bret Hart, Val asked them who they thought should get the next title shot against Hart. Jericho felt it should be him, while Cage disagreed and argued that it should be him because he’s still owed an ex-champion’s rematch. Jericho argued that Cage isn’t ready to challenge for the title right now, noting that he’s had a string of losses in singles matches and even caused them to lose the 6-man tag team match against the IMF at
HELLFIRE IN HALIFAX, which led to them having a bit of a spat.
Two weeks later, during a fatal fourway tag team main event, Jericho made a blind tag on Cage as he was setting up to spear Jacques Rougeau. Cage felt that he was trying to take away his chance of winning the match. Later in the match, Cage ended up tapping out to Alberto El Patron’s Cross Armbreaker. This led to a post-match public argument between the two. Finally, the following week, when Jericho wrestled Rusev, Cage and Rhino ran down to the ring to help Jericho after El Patron and Ted DiBiase interfered on behalf of Rusev. Cage would cost Jericho the match when he was setting up Rusev for a spear, but missed and took out Jericho. What at first appeared to be an accident may have been intentional, as Cage would then attack Jericho, leaving him knocked out in the centre of the ring after giving him a 1-man con-chair-to! Then, in last week’s episode of
The Titans of Grand Prix[/u], Cage infuriated Jericho even more by acting like a creepy little bastard towards Trish Stratus, who Jericho had started to forge a relationship starting the week after
HELLFIRE IN HALIFAX when he found her backstage experiencing an emotional breakdown after being humiliated by AJ Lee (Stratus tried to humiliate Lee for failing to win the Women’s Championship, but her plan backfired, and Lee took a large bucket of mud that Stratus brought to the ring and dumped it on her). Now, the stage is set for a very physical and very personal battle between these former friends turned bitter enemies, with the ultimate prize of a shot at the International Heavyweight Champion against Bret “The Hitman” Hart at the biggest AGPW event of the year,
JOURNEY TO GREATNESS 2015.

Women's Championship Title Match
Awesome Kong {C} vs. Jazz Awesome Kong is the most physically intimidating woman in professional wrestling. However, Jazz isn’t that far behind her in that respect. Jazz is the original baddest bitch in the building and she’s been on a steady rise in AGPW, owning a lopsided wins-to-losses ratio. Of course, Awesome Kong’s wins-to-losses ratio is also sterling. A week after defeating Charlotte Flair at
HELLFIRE IN HALIFAX, Jazz let it be known that she was in the title hunt and that she wanted to shoot herself to the top of the women’s rankings when she interrupted the Women’s Champion during a backstage interview to make her intentions be known. Kong wasn’t pleased about the interruption, but Jazz showed no signs of intimidation and even challenged her to take her best shot – anytime, anywhere. A tense standoff occurred. A few weeks later, when Jazz defeated former champion Trish Stratus – with an assist from AJ Lee – Jazz proclaimed herself the number one contender and demanded a title shot. Kong came to the ring and offered to defend her title, again, anytime and anywhere Jazz wanted a match. And so this match was signed for
SPRING SLAUGHTER . However, the baddest bitch in the game decided to start the slaughter earlier by attacking Kong. Unlike most villains, Jazz didn’t attack her from behind. She came at her face-to-face and gave her the Jazz Stinger. Now, Kong is pissed off and out for blood. Two of the most intimidating women in professional wrestling history are now set to battle over the most prestigious women’s champion in Mash-Up Wrestling.

10-Man Tag Team Match
The Hart Foundation (L-R): Davey Boy Smith, Tyson Kidd, Bret "The Hitman" Hart, Owen Hart & Dynamite Kid
vs.
The Ex-Patriots (L-R): Steve Corino, Raymond Rougeau, Killer Kowalski, Jacques Rougeau & Test This big 10-man tag team match harkens back to the WWF In Your House 16: Canadian Stampede event, held in Calgary, Alberta, in July, 1997. At that event, an historic 10-man tag team match featuring the anti-American Hart Foundation (Bret Hart, Owen Hart, Davey Boy Smith, Jim Neidhart and Brian Pillman) faced Steve Austin, Ken Shamrock, Goldust and the Legion of Doom in a classic 5-star effort that headlined the event that would be named Best Major Show of the year by the Wrestling Observer. This 10-man match borrows elements of that classic battle, as it is the main event of a best event that will take place in Calgary, Alberta, and it pits the very patriotic hometown heroes, the Hart Foundation (of which two-thirds of the team were in the Canadian Stampede match). However, this team are not the defacto faces because they are the anti-American Canadians. They are the territories top face faction and are proud to promote their home city and country, but without being anti-American antagonists. Meanwhile, their opponents are a group of pro-American, anti-Canadian ex-patriots, which gives them nuclear heat in AGPW.
There are several months’ worth of history setting up this match. It begins at
WAR ON THE EAST COAST, when Owen Hart, Tyson Kidd and Lance Storm competed in a Boston Street Fight against the Boston Strongmen in their hometown. The Strongmen took the win, thanks in part to the help of a group of wrestlers, born and raised in Canada, but who’ve since moved to the United States and have decided that their new home country is better than the country from which they originate. At
WINTER WARFARE, Steve Corino defeated Owen Hart and the Fabulous Rougeau Brothers beat Kidd & Storm, respectively. During the following month, Corino played a role in the breakup of Kidd and Storm’s tag team. The feud started to pick up more steam the week after
HELLFIRE IN HALIFAX, when Steve Corino went on a large anti-Canadian tirade while calling out the International Heavyweight Champion, Bret Hart, to defend his title against him. Hart accepted the challenge and went on to win their match, later that night. However, following the match, Hart was assaulted by a returning Killer Kowalski. The next week, during a match between Owen Hart and Tyson Kidd versus Steve Corino and Test, Killer Kowalski joined colour commentary and explained that his life was much improved after leaving Windsor, Ontario for his new home in Malden, Massachusetts and that he would never move back to Canada. He would then interfere in the match, leading to Bret Hart coming out to aid his brother and nephew-in-law. The Fabulous Rougeaus also got involved to stack the odds against the Harts and Kidd. The next week, when the Harts and Kidd came to the ring to vilify the ex-patriots and make a spirited defence of their home country, the five ex-pats would down to the ring for what looked like another beat down of the Hart Family, that is, until the British Bulldogs made a surprise run-in. Cousins Davey Boy Smith and the Dynamite Kid, who are connected to the Hart Family by marriage (Smith is married to one of Bret and Owen’s sisters), helped get the Harts and Kidd out of a jam and sent the ex-patriots running for the exits. With the Bulldogs coming into the Hart Foundation fold, the stage was now set for an epic 10-man tag team main event to be signed for this event. This match will have tremendous heat – guaranteed!
