Lance Storm vs. Kazarian w/ “Classy” Freddie Blassie vs. Kurrgan vs. Arn Anderson
As has become customary on DSN in recent weeks, this week’s show opens with a hot 10+ minute fatal fourway match. In this match, we see some of the best tag team wrestlers in AGPW squaring off against one another. Later in the show, we will see each one of these wrestlers’ tag team partners battle in our second bonus fatal fourway match of the evening. The fast pace keeps things lively and frantic. This matches features a few crowd pleasing spots, such as Lance Storm taking out Kazarian and Arn Anderson with a springboard diving cross body block on the outside and Kazarian going airborne to take out all three of his opponents with a springboard somersault senton bomb. Later in the match, Storm would try another diving cross body block on Kurrgan, but he was caught and Kurrgan ran to the turnbuckle post, ramming Storm’s lower back into it. Later in the match, Kazarian and Storm fought on the top turnbuckle, then stopped and agreed to perform a double missile dropkick on Kurrgan. After getting up, Kazarian went for a superkick on Storm, but he ducked it and landed one of his own on Kazarian. His pinfall attempt was broken up by Anderson, who whipped Storm to the ropes and set up for a back body drop. Storm countered with a sunset flip for a two count. They got up and traded blows until Kurrgan took them both out with big boots to the face. Kurrgan then served up chokeslams to all three of his opponents and went for the pin on his final victim, Kazarian, but Anderson broke it up with a double axehandle to the back of the head. Next, Anderson stomped away at Kurrgan as he tried to get up and then most impressively gave the Acadian Giant a sit-out piledriver! Before he could pin Kurrgan, Anderson saw Kazarian trying for a superkick and sidestepped it and it hit Storm instead. Then, Anderson grabbed Kazarian and whipped him to the ropes as the set up for the Double A Spinebuster. He pinned the North American Tag Team Champion. 1…2…3! Anderson scores a pinfall victory against one half of the North American Tag Team Champions in singles competition.
Official Decision: Arn Anderson wins by pinfall

VS.
Paige vs. Portia Perez
Paige continues her quiet rise through the ranks of the AGPW women’s division, facing Portia Perez this week. It’s a closely contested bout in the opening minutes of the contest, but Perez takes over on offence using an attack featuring a number of suplexes and kick variations, such as dropkicks, shoot kicks, back kicks and a superkick. However, Paige manages to kick out at every turn. When Perez has finally had enough of failing to put out Paige with pinfall attemps, she locks on her bridging crossface, the Just Facelock, However, Paige refuses to tap out and slowly makes her way over to the ropes for a break. As Paige uses the ropes to get up, Perez comes over and kicks at her legs, which causes Paige to let out some horrifying wails of anger. Paige blocks a kick, catches Perez’s foot and then clubs her down with a lariat. As she tries to get back up, Paige gives her several knee lifts to the side of the head and then multiple headbutts followed by a fisherman’s suplex! Perez kicks out just in the nick of time. Paige screams out again and then stomps away madly at Perez before picking her up and executing the Ram-Paige DDT! However, instead of pinning her, she decides to put her in the Scorpion Crosslock, which gets Perez to tap out almost instantly.
Official Decision: Paige wins by submission

This portion of the show features pre-recorder promos from Chris Jericho, Leo Burke, René Duprée, Maryse Ouellet with Magnus and Rusev, Rowdy Roddy Piper, Édouard Carpentier and Christian Cage as they predict victory for themselves in tonight’s 25-man battle royal and claim that they’ll go on to challenge “Stone Cold” Steve Austin for the Mash-Up World Heavyweight Championship at MAYHEM IN MONTRÉAL 2014 on Sunday, October 12, 2014!
*Commercial Break 3*
AGPW International Heavyweight Champion, “Superstar” Billy Graham, comes to the ring accompanied by his manager, “Classy” Freddie Blassie. Although not scheduled to compete tonight – he is not in the 25-man battle royal as AGPW rules stipulate that the International Heavyweight Champion must defend his title at all supercard events – the Tower of Power feels that he is entitled to take some time for himself on this show because he is, after all, carrying around AGPW’s top prize. The big belt is at all times in his hands, resting on one of his shoulders or fastened securely around his waist. Graham and Blassie both felt that it was necessary to come to the ring and gloat about how “Superstar” Billy Graham became the first man to successfully pin Samoa Joe and hand the Samoan Submission Machine his first loss in AGPW competition. After almost 10-months of racking up victories, Joe was unable to win the International Heavyweight Championship from the Man of the Hour, who is too sweet to be sour! However, what they won’t tell you is that Killer Kowalski, being paid by the “Million Dollar Man” Ted Dibiase, played a significant role in handed Joe his first loss. No, in their eyes, full credit for that major accomplishment belongs to the Superstar, himself. This, of course, leads him to announce that he doesn’t care where, when, against who, or against how many men he must defend the title, he will do it and always be successful because the sun shines brightest on the hot sands of California and that means no one in the world can beat the Tower of Power, “Superstar” Billy Graham!
So then bring on the challengers! Who should come to challenge the International Heavyweight Champion, but the EVIL Japanese duo of Taka Michinoku and Sho Funaki, who through a dubbed voice overs (thank you, Al Snow), make it known that they will cause Graham a world of pain the likes of which he has never experience before. Because Graham hyperbolically claimed that he didn’t care when, where, who, or how many men, he would face all challenges, Kaientai lay down their challenge: right here, right now, against Taka Michinoku and Sho Funaki, in a handicap match!

International Heavyweight Championship Handicap Match
“Superstar” Billy Graham w/ “Classy” Freddie Blassie vs. Kaientai
“Superstar” Billy Graham w/ “Classy” Freddie Blassie vs. Kaientai
This is a formulaic handicap match whereby “Superstar” Billy Graham looks strong, initially, in a one-on-one setting, but once his opponent makes the tag, he loses the edge due to double team maneuvers, and then takes some damage from the fresh man before reclaiming the advantage. Graham uses a combination of power moves, punishing punches and kicks, and various restholds designed to wear on the stamina of his opponents in preparation for his mighty bearhug. He wears down Taka Michinoku with ease until making a critical mistake of whipping him to the ropes. Taka comes back and takes Graham off of his feet with a spinning heel kick. When he goes to pick up Taka, Graham gets shoved away and then dropkicked to the mat. Taka makes the desperation tag and Funaki comes in and takes the fight to Graham, giving him some fast striking and high flying offensive maneuvers, culminating with his devastating crane kick! Funaki pins Graham. 1…2… kick out! It was so close and the crowd wanted so badly for Kaientai to win it right there. Funaki tags Taka and they decide to try to finish the match with an exclamation mark. Taka goes for a frog splash, but lands on Graham’s knees! He gets up and Funaki goes for a missile dropkick, but Graham steps out of the way. He knocks Kaientai’s skulls together, then gorilla presses Funaki into the air before dropping him onto the floor. Then he grabs Taka and gives him a piledriver and pins him. 1…2…3! “Superstar” Billy Graham retains his title in a handicap title defence!
Official Decision: “Superstar” Billy Graham wins by pinfall

Tyson Kidd vs. Christopher Daniels w/ “Classy” Freddie Blassie vs. “Killer” Karl Krupp vs. Tully Blanchard
Each of these men’s tag team partners competed in a fatal fourway contest at the top of this week’s show. Everyone had a strong showing, but in the end, Arn Anderson pinned Kazarian, one half of the North American Tag Team Champions, to pick up the victory in singles action. This one is another long fatal fourway match to entertain the fans. It has a bit of a different flavour than the earlier one. Tyson Kidd and Christopher Daniels are adept at high flying. Kidd also brings a large arsenal of kicks into the ring. Tully Blanchard suplexes whatever he can get his hands on and “Killer” Karl Krupp punishes everyone and everything with his brawling. Like the match featuring all of their tag team partners, this one featuring some high spots to pop the crowd. Kidd took out Blanchard and Krupp with a suicide dive as they brawled on the floor. Once they all rose to their feet, Daniels took out all three of them with a springboard plancha. Daniels then picked up Blanchard and took the fight to him around ringside, while Krupp put a beating into Kidd on the outside. Later, Krupp rolls Kidd into the ring and prepares to finish him off, giving him a backbreaker and going for the pin. Blanchard came into the ring and broke it up. Blanchard and Krupp traded blows until Krupp kneed him in the abdomine and then executed a gutwrench suplex. Krupp gave him a running leg drop and then went for the cover, but Daniels pulled him off and then gave him a full-nelson forward Russian legsweep. Before Daniels could go for the cover, he saw Blanchard sizing him for a running lariat. Daniels ducked it and then gave him an enziguiri kick! Kidd grabbed Daniels from behind and gave him a bridging German suplex that nearly won the match. Krupp took both of them out with a double clothesline. He grabbed Daniels and concentrated and beating him down. He locked on the Iron Claw, but that would get broken up by Kidd as he gave Krupp the blockbuster! Then, Kidd pinned Krupp for the 3-count and the victory!
Official Decision: Tyson Kidd wins by pinfall

VS.
Sarita vs. AJ Lee
This match is pretty evenly contested from the outset. Both Sarita and AJ Lee employ a running game to make their early attacks. There are hip tosses, arm drags and dropkicks, as well as some springboard arm drags cross bodies and leg lariats, and some sunset flips and crucifix pins on display in the early going. The match eventually slows down for a little bit when Sarita goes for a whip, only to have it reversed, but then comes back from the ropes to execute a float-over DDT on AJ. After a 2-count pinfall attempt, Sarita slows the pace down by applying chinlocks, headscissors, as well as rolling bodyscissors. She works on AJ’s back and executes a backbreaker and a double-underhook falling double-knee backbreaker! Sarita puts AJ in a Mexican surfboard, but she reverses to quit. Later, Sarita takes AJ into the corner and goes for a tornado DDT, but AJ pushes Sarita away and then drop toeholds her to drive her face into the middle turnbuckle! AJ mounts a comeback that sees her execute a spin kick, running front dropkick, tilt-a-whirl headscissors, as well as a diving hurricanrana and a diving cross body, both from the top turnbuckle. AJ goes for a shiranui, but Sarita counters it into a high-angle belly-to-back suplex. AJ kicks out of the follow up pinfall attempt. Sarita tries to whip AJ, but she gives her a short-arm reversal into a swinging neckbreaker. Then, she follows that up by applying the Black Widow, which forces Sarita to give up.
After getting her win, AJ grabs a microphone to send out a simple message to Trish Stratus. She says that the next “BIG EVENT” in her life will be when she loses the AGPW Women’s Championship to the Black Widow, AJ Lee! Because whether Stratus likes it or not, AJ says that she’s on the fast track to the top of the women’s division, which is where she rightful belongs.
Official Decision: AJ Lee wins by submission
*Commercial Break 7*
The star-studded line-up for our main event battle royal has assembled in the ring, with the exception of the final entrant of the match – Californiacation’s lone representative – René Duprée. His music hits and he enters the arena, sporting a neck brace. He has a microphone in hand and he cuts his music to announce that he will not be able to compete in tonight’s match because of a neck injury he suffered at the hands of Chris Jericho in their match last week. Because he cannot compete, he had to find a replacement to fill his spot and compete for him in tonight’s match. “Without further ado, I give you, my replacement in the battle royal…”
It’s the stylin’, profilin’, limousine riding, jet flying, kiss-stealing, wheelin’ ‘n dealin’ son of a gun!
“The Nature Boy” Ric Flair!
25-Man Battle Royal
For a Shot at the Mash-Up World Heavyweight Championship Title
For a Shot at the Mash-Up World Heavyweight Championship Title
Featuring (in alphabetical order): Al Snow, Blue Cena, Bo Dallas, Bobby Bass, Cesaro, Chris Candido, Chris Jericho, Christian Cage, Dean Malenko, Édouard Carpentier, Eric Young, Johnny Devine, Kevin Steen, Killer Kowalski, Leo Burke, Magnus, Owen Hart, Ric Flair, Rowdy Roddy Piper, Rusev, Samoa Joe, Shannon Moore, Sylvain, Taz, and Ted DiBiase
The prize for winning this battle royal is a title shot for the Mash-Up World Heavyweight Championship, currently held by “Stone Cold” Steve Austin, at the industry’s premiere fall season wrestling extravaganza, MAYHEM IN MONTRÉAL 2014 on October 12, 2014!
Order of Elimination (number 25 is the first elimination, therefore finishing 25 out of 25 wrestlers in the match)
25) “No Class” Bobby Bass – Bass makes a quick exit, mere seconds into the match, when he’s lifted over the top rope by Kevin Steen.
24) Eric Young – Young gets knocked over the top rope with a Polish hammer strike from Killer Kowalski.
23) Johnny Devine – Devine gets sent packing when he’s lifted high into the air and thrown down to the floor by Samoa Joe.
22) Shannon Moore – Moore goes tumbling over the top rope after receiving a dropkick from Christian Cage that puts him on the ring apron and then a running forearm smash to the face by Chris Jericho.
21) Magnus – Cesaro sends his former tag team partner to the floor following a series of European uppercuts and then a clothesline that sends him flying over the top rope.
20) Sylvain – Taz destroys Sylvain in the corner, giving him a head and arm suplex into the turnbuckle, then picking him up and dumping over top rope.
19) Al Snow – Rusev gives Snow a jumping thrust kick that sends him tumbling over the ropes.
18) Blue Cena – The Blue Meanie, who has revived his John Cena parody character for this match, gets clotheslined to the floor by Bo Dallas. BOLIEVE!
16 & 17) Dean Malenko and Édouard Carpentier – Malenko tries to lift Carpentier over the top rope, but he brings Malenko out with him getting a headscissors wrapped around him. As Malenko goes tumbling to the floor, he pulls on Carpentier’s legs, causing him to lose his grip on the top rope and fall to the floor.
15) Chris Candido – Candido lifts Ted DiBiase into a military press, but can’t throw him out as Killer Kowalski chop blocks him. After a vicious two-on-one beating, Kowalski and DiBiase both send him out to the floor.
14) Kevin Steen – Steen goes flying over the top rope after thinking he’d tossed Owen Hart out of the ring. However, Hart holds onto the top rope and flips himself right back up and over the ropes and then gives Steen an enziguiri kick to the back of the head. After that, he throws Steen to the floor.
13) Owen Hart – Hart makes a big mistake by celebrating his elimination of Kevin Steen. While he’s jumping up and down with his arms raised, Chris Jericho and Christian Cage both grab him from behind and send him flying over the top rope and out to the floor.
12) Cesaro – Cesaro has Rusev up on the turnbuckle, slowly powering the Bulgarian Brute up and is poised to dump him, when he receives a low blow from the Nature Boy and then gets dumped out of the ring by him.
11) Taz – Taz is too late to save his partner, but he still sends Ric Flair flying across the ring with an exploder suplex, but when he gets up, he gets a thrust kick from Rusev and then gets powered over the top rope by the Bulgarian Brute!
10) Leo Burke – Burke has been battling Rowdy Roddy Piper throughout the entire match, but when he finally has Piper nearly lifted over the top rope, Bo Dallas takes advantage and uses Burke’s own momentum to send him tumbling out to the floor.
9) Ted DiBiase – DiBiase and his hired gun, Killer Kowalski, have spent most of the match trying to force Samoa Joe over the top rope, without success. Finally, the Samoan Submission Machine gets lucky when Christian Cage attacks Killer Kowalski, thus giving Joe the opportunity he needs to battle back against the Million Dollar Man to the point that he’s able to give him the Muscle Buster and then toss him from the ring shortly thereafter.
8) Rowdy Roddy Piper – Chris Jericho sends the Hot Rod packing after holding onto the ropes to block a bulldog attempt. He gives Piper a Codebreaker and then flings him over the top rope.
7) Rusev – Rusev and Samoa Joe have an epic standoff in the middle of the ring and then beat the snot out of each other. It’s literally two behemoths going toe-to-toe, head-to-head, fist-to-fist, with neither one backing down. In the end Rusev looks him he may have gained the upper hand and backs Joe into the ropes with a back kick to the abdomine. Then he charges at Joe, but Samoan Submission Machine lifts him into the air with a back body drop, thus eliminating the Bulgarian Brute.
6) Christian Cage – Cage throws Bo Dallas over the top rope, but the inspirational one grabs onto the top rope and does everything he can to stop both of his feet from touching the ground. One foot hits the floor and he swings the other around until the momentum propels him back up onto the ring apron. He slides into the ring and waits as Captain Charisma trades chops with the Nature Boy, and when the timing is right, he grabs Cage from behind, spins him around and launches him over the top rope!
5) Bo Dallas – Bo Dallas surprises everyone by making it to the final five. He’s so excited by having eliminated a former International Heavyweight Champion and last year’s MAYHEM IN MONTRÉAL World Heavyweight Championship Title challenger, that he does a victory lap around the inside of the ring, slides out of the ring, and continues his victory lap around the ring, then slides back in only to end up getting dropped like a ton of bricks with a ST-Joe Slam by Samoa Joe! After that, Joe picks up Dallas and tosses him over the top rope.
4) Samoa Joe – the final four continue on fighting with no eliminations for the next 6-7 minutes, when finally, Joe gets Flair lifted up and over the top rope, but the Nature Boy loops his legs on the top rope as he hangs upside down. Joe tries to pull his legs apart and as he is doing that, Killer Kowalski, who just blocked a Codebreaker attempt and then gave him a Kowalski Bomb. Instead of tossing Jericho, he saw the opportunity to pull another one over Joe and gave him a running knee lift that cause Joe to go over the ropes and out to the floor!
3) Killer Kowalski – Kowalski and Flair, neither one a fan favourite, started battling each other and Kowalski appeared to eliminate Flair, but the crafty Nature Boy managed to cling to the ropes for dear life and slide back under them. Flair’s many near exits in the match would nearly bring Lord Alfred Hayes to cardiac arrest, as channeled Bobby Heenan’s 1992 Royal Rumble performance on commentary, as the ultimate cheerleader of the Nature Boy, despite that he was essentially an outsider from Broken City. With Flair laying on the mat, looking for a breather, Jericho and Kowalski resumed their battle. Kowalski would whip Jericho into the ropes, but then receive a springboard dropkick to knock him down. Jericho then bounces off of the ropes and took Kowalski down with one-handed jumping bulldog. He then gave Kowalski the lionsault and dragged him to the ropes where he started to try to power the big man over the top. Jericho struggled to lift him over and Kowalski fought him tooth and nail until finally, the Nature Boy sprung to his feet, ran over and gave Y2J the extra boost he needed to remove the big man from the ring. Down to the final two!
2) Chris Jericho – The hot Canadian crowd was firmly pro-Jericho, with chants of “Y2J!” heard throughout the arena, at a fevered pitch. Jericho and the Flair would battle back and forth, trading chops and Flair would eventually put Jericho in the figure four, only to half it reversed half a minute later. When they both got up, Flair would win a grapple by thumbing Jericho to the eye. He went for an Irish whip into the corner, but Jericho reversed it without power to send Flair onto the top turnbuckle and over to the ring apron. Jericho ran over and tried to deliver a forearm smash to knock him off of the apron, but Flair ducked and shoulderblocked Jericho to the abdomen, through the ropes. Then, he set up for a suplex, but after a dramatic back and forth tussle over who would lift his opponent over the top rope, Flair kicked Jericho in the shin and then lifted him to execute a release vertical suplex from the ring to the floor to win the match!
Official Decision: “Nature Boy” Ric Flair wins by being the lone survivor of the match.
"Nature Boy" Ric Flair has shocked the wrestling world by defecting from New England, crossing the border north and entering tonight's battle royal at the invitation of René Duprée. Not only that but he has won the match and will now go on to face "Stone Cold" Steve Austin for the Mash-Up World Heavyweight Championship, at Mash-Up Wrestling's premiere fall season wrestling extravaganza, MAYHEM IN MONTRÉAL 2014 on October 12, 2014!
