Monty Brown = “Marvelous” Marc Mero
The entire Montréal Mafia has assemble in the backstage interview area. The orders of their business include: 1) railing against Californiacation for its persistent and pervasive interference in Mafia business, which they blame for costing Yvon “Le Lion” Robert the International Heavyweight Championship at HELLFIRE IN HALIFAX; 2) warning Christian Cage that Robert will get his title back once he exercises his former champion’s rematch clause; 3) claiming that the Montréal Mafia will work together to obtain the biggest prize in our industry – the Mash-Up World Heavyweight Championship. They tell us to expect that tonight’s battle royal – and its prize of a shot at “Stone Cold” Steve Austin and his title – will belong to one of them.

VS.
Natalya Neidhart vs. The Fabulous Moolah
This one is a stiff match featuring two excellent competitors. Natalya hails from the latest generation of the iconic Hart Family Dynasty. Fabulous Moolah, on the other hand, is a one-woman dynasty. Moolah is undefeated since entering AGPW last fall. She has not had many big challenges. Her biggest match to date was against Gail Kim, who she managed to defeat back on March 1. Here, she faces another excellent opponent who challenges her at every turn. Natalya hits Moolah hard just like her father would and shows off some excellent technical skills just like her uncles. Moolah fights dirty. She brawls and uses power moves. To stop Natalya’s offensive advantages, she always employs the use of several illegal holds and moves to get back in control of the match. Natalya proves hard to beat and digs down deep to kick out of everything that Moolah throws at her. The match ends after the action spills to the outside. Moolah tries to whips Natalya into the guardrail, but she reverses it. Natalya charges at her, but gets a foot to the mid-section. Then, Moolah yanks Natalya by the hair and gives her the Moolah Whip into the steel ringsteps. She repeats the move a second time and then enters the ring to get the easy countout victory.
Official Decision: The Fabulous Moolah wins by countout
After the bell is rung and Moolah has her hand raised, Trish Stratus appears in the entrance aisle. With a microphone in hand, Stratus runs down Moolah for sticking her nose where it didn’t belong at HELLFIRE IN HALIFAX, when she prevented Stratus from abandoning the match. Stratus tells the matriarch of women’s wrestling that she’s old and over the hill. Stratus isn’t afraid of Moolah because she’s past her best before date. Moolah challenges Stratus to come get her some, but then she’s knocked down from behind by Awesome Kong! The beatdown culminates with an Awesome Bomb from Awesome Kong and a Chick Kick from Stratus!
*Commercial Break 2*
“Marvelous” Marc Mero and his personal trainer, Candice Michelle, are with Jeremy Borash. Mero cuts a promo claiming that Christian Cage will have the shortest International Heavyweight Championship title reign ever. He’ll also have the unfortunate distinction of being the only champion in AGPW history who will have never had a successful title defence. And that’s because he has to enter the ring with Mister Marvelocity himself, “Marvelous” Marc Mero, tonight! Now, AGPW will get the International Heavyweight Champion that it truly deserves and needs!
VS.
Samoa Joe vs. Ezekiel Jackson
This one is a battle of two undefeated behemoths. Ezekiel Jackson has been undefeated since July, but he’s pretty well been on the Goldberg programme (racking up wins against the lower ranks for months on end). And it shows here. He gets some hard shots in on Joe in the opening minute of the bout. However, after whipping him into the corner and missing a running avalanche attempt, it is all downhill from there for Jackson. Joe gives him the CCS enzigurri kick and never looks back. He pretty much destroys the big man on route to a submission victory when he makes him tap out to the Coquina Clutch.
Official Decision: Samoa Joe wins by submission
*Commercial Break 3*
The trio of Calgary’s finest wrestlers – Owen Hart, Lance Storm, and Tyson Kidd – are with Jeremy Borash. Storm and Kidd will both be competing in tonight’s 30-Man Battle Royal. However, Hart, has yet to be cleared for action by the AGPW medical staff. He expresses his disappointment that Storm and Kidd were both manhandled in their no disqualification bout against the monstrous duo of “Killer” Karl Krupp and “The Acadian Giant” Kurrgan and laments the fact that vengeance for his injuries was not obtained. However, he strongly believes that his fellow Calgarians are still the best wrestlers on the planet and so he issues an open challenge, on their behalf, to any two wrestlers on the planet who dares prove them wrong. Storm and Kidd, while confident in their in-ring abilities and say that they are willing to compete against anyone, ask Hart why he continues to make such grandiose challenges on their behalf. Hart simply reiterates that he thinks that Calgary produces the world’s finest grapplers and he wants the three of them to prove it, night in and night out!
The Fabulous Moolah bursts into the Commissioner’s office to give Billy Two Rivers an earful about what happened after her match with Natalya Neidhart. She is incredibly angry about the attack on her and she wants to get her hands on Trish Stratus now! Commissioner Two Rivers is more than happy to give Moolah what she wants, as he is no fan of Californiacation and how it behaves. Next week, Fabulous Moolah will challenge Trish Stratus for the AGPW Women’s Championship!
“This is paradise, I’m tellin’ ya. This town is like a great big pussy just waiting to get fucked.” – Tony Montana, Scarface, 1983
In California, Hollywood to be more exact, the streets are paved with gold and the sidewalks are adorned with the names of legendary heroes. They call it the walk of fame. It includes such names as “Classy” Freddie Blassie, “Superstar” Billy Graham, Christopher Daniels, Kazarian, Trish Stratus, Awesome Kong, and now, a name that you will never, ever forget – Goldust! Additionally, Goldust makes mention of the impending battles between the glitz and glamour of Hollywood and the sleezy underbelly of Montréal. The Mafia’s final cut will soon fall upon it.
Gail Kim and Chyna are with SoCal Val to talk about their tag team match against Trish Stratus and Awesome Kong, tonight. For them, this match is about gaining a measure of revenge against the female contingent of Californiacation. It’s also about proving to the world who the better women’s wrestlers are. Kim says that she should be the Women’s Champion right now, but Stratus’ penchant for breaking the rules has kept the title on her for now. However, after Kim and Chyna win and prove that they are the best women’s division wrestlers in AGPW, they expect to each get a shot at winning the Women’s Championship and they will support each other in their individual attempts to gain the title. They say that it is necessary to bring backup to support you in a match against Trish Stratus because, as we saw at HELLFIRE IN HALIFAX, Stratus never goes anywhere without Awesome Kong in tow.

International Heavyweight Championship Match
Christian Cage vs. “Marvelous” Marc Mero w/ Candice Michelle
Christian Cage vs. “Marvelous” Marc Mero w/ Candice Michelle
Christian Cage’s first title defence comes here in front of his hometown. The fans are loud and boisterous in their support of the new International Heavyweight Champion. “Marvelous” Marc Mero has no fan support and, some may say, deservedly so. Here, he is completely outclassed in the ring. Mero fairs alright in the opening minutes, but Cage finds an opening and builds momentum like a locomotive gains speed. The match goes a bit longer than expected after Candice Michelle provides a distraction that allows Mero to give Cage a low blow and then a side Russian leg sweep for a 2-count. This puts Mero in control for a decent stretch of the match, but Cage mounts a comeback that culminates in him executing the Unprettier and pinning Mero for the 1-2-3 right in the middle of the ring! He receives a huge pop and the fans chant his name as he celebrates his first title defence with his hometown fans.
Official Decision: Christian Cage wins by pinfall

w/ VS.
Trish Stratus & Awesome Kong w/ “Classy” Freddie Blassie vs. Gail Kim & Chyna
The Women’s Champion and Hollywood A-Lister, “Top Shelf” Trish Stratus, and her tag team partner, Awesome Kong, come to the ring first. Stratus gets a warm response from the fans, but then cuts an effective heel promo to get on the bad side of her hometown fans as she says that living in Toronto is nice if you’re into long, cold, crappy winters and that moving to Beverly Hills was the best decision she ever made. This is also the first time we see “Classy” Freddie Blassie accompany the female contingent of Californiacation to the ring. He adds onto the heel heat by ripping into the locals for showing Stratus a lack of respect and claiming that they’re all jealous of her. He goes on to say that she didn’t do anything that the rest of them wouldn’t do if they had the means. California is the where it’s at and even the most dense pencil neck geek can recognize that! Finally, they’re cut off by the ring entrance of fellow Torontonian Gail Kim and her partner, the Ninth Wonder of the World, Chyna, who both receive a huge ovation from the fans.
Chyna starts out with Stratus, but in a classic heel move, she refuses to lock up and tags out immediately. In comes Awesome Kong and the cameras are flashing for this face-to-face showdown. Some nasty words are exchanged before Kong attempts to strike Chyna, but she blocks and fires back. Chyna whips Kong across the ring and knocks her off of her feet with a dropkick! Then, she takes Kong down with an arm drag and locks on an arm bar. Stratus is beside herself screaming at Kong to get her act together. Kong makes it to her feet and grabs a handful of hair and warning from the referee. She eventually breaks the arm bar by pushing Chyna off and sending her into the ropes. She goes for a lariat, but Chyna baseball slides between her legs, then takes Kong down with another dropkick. She knocks Stratus off of the ring apron with a hard right hand. Chyna continues to stay one step ahead of Awesome Kong until she finally tags out and Kim takes her down with a diving body press into a pin for a 2-count. Kim takes her down again with tilt-a-whirl headscissors and then a missile dropkick. She gets another 2-count. Finally, Kong proves how awesome she is turning the tide by throwing Kim across the ring during a tornado DDT attempt and then hitting her with a clothesline from hell! Kong tags out and Stratus comes in to wear down her opponent, keeping Kim on the mat for the most part. Much of her offense is targeted at Kim’s lower back. Stratus puts Kim in an inverted Mexican surfboard, which is visually impressive. Stratus and Kong start to make frequent tags and effectively cut the ring in half. Blassie is pleased with how his team has turned their fortunes around in this match. They dominated the offense for the next few minutes until Stratus sets up for a superplex, but Kim blocks it and then performs a diving hurricanrana!
Stratus tags out, but before Kong can drag Kim away, she makes the hot tag. Chyna comes in and takes Kong off of her feet after her second running clothesline attempt. Chyna gives Kong a standing leg drop and covers, but she kicks out. Chyna goes for a whip, but it is reversed. Kong charges in and Chyna gets a boot up in her face, then takes Kong down with a bulldog. She rolls Kong over and pins for a 2-count. Chyna sends her into the corner, then runs to the opposite corner to knock Stratus off of the ring apron. Then she performs a running hand-spring back elbow and makes the tag. Chyna brings Kong out of the corner and gives her a backbreaker before Kim executes a diving elbow drop! She pins and gets two before Stratus pulls her out of the ring and drops her with a lariat. The referee gives her a warning and that prompts Blassie to get involved in an argument with the referee. This gives Stratus an opportunity to enters the ring and try to help Kong get to her corner, drawing Chyna into the ring. Stratus ducks a running clothesline, then attempts a Chick Kick, but Chyna ducks it and kicks Stratus in the lower back. Then she grabs her and sets up for the pedigree, but Kong attacks Chyna from behind, then locks a two-handed chokehold on her. Chyna breaks it with a couple of kicks to the left chin and then gives Kong a DDT. When she gets up, Chyna receives a Chick Kick! Kim comes back into the ring and gives Stratus the Eat Defeat! She covers Stratus and the referee shows up to count the fall. 1…2… it’s broken up by Kong! She picks up Kim and goes for the Awesome Bomb, but Kim punches her several times to block it, then lands on her feet when she’s dropped. Kim gives her some forearm shots, then turns to run to the ropes, but ends up running right into a Chick Kick! Stratus pins her. Kong blocks Chyna’s path to breaking up the pin. 1…2…3!
Official Decision: Trish Stratus & Awesome Kong wins by pinfall

Order of Elimination (number 30 is the first elimination, thus finishing 30 of 30 wrestlers in the match)
30) Chris Candido – Chris Candido is the first body to fly over the top rope by virtue of having the misfortune of standing beside “The Acadian Giant” Kurrgan at the onset of the match.
29) Cuban Assassin Sr. – the elder of the two Assassins suffers an early exit from the match when he gets dumped over the top rope by Rowdy Roddy Piper.
28) Dino Bravo – Bravo is the first member of the Montréal Mafia to exit the match when he is tossed out of the room by the joint effort of the North American Tag Team Champions, Christopher Daniels and Kazarian.
27) Rosey – the big Superhero in Training leaves the ring when he is hit with a hard clothesline by “Superstar” Billy Graham.
26) Cuban Assassin Jr. – The younger of the two Assassins doesn’t last much longer than his father. His ticket out of the match is stamped by the “Macho Man” Randy Savage.
25) “No Class” Bobby Bass – Bass lasts longer than anyone expected him to – which means he stayed in the match for nearly 2 whole minutes. However, he tried to pick a fight with the Swiss Superman and lost. Cesaro sends him packing after a vicious European uppercut!
24) Chris Hero – Hero is the next to leave the ring after getting dumped over the top rope by Lance Storm. He held onto the top rope, climbed back onto the ring apron, but then was dropkicked off of the apron and onto the floor by the “Macho Man” Randy Savage.
23) The Hurricane – The Hurricane is tossed to the floor with a big gorilla press toss by “Superstar” Billy Graham!
21 & 22) Lance Cade and “Killer” Karl Krupp – “Killer” Karl Krupp put Lance Cade in the Iron Claw and backed him up into the ropes. With Krupp applying a lot of pressure and leaning into the hold, they both fall over the top rope when Christopher Daniels and Kazarian grab them by the feet and lift them over the top rope.
20) The Mountie – The Mountie falls victim to a double team effort by Tyson Kidd and Lance Storm, who nearly take him out with a double clothesline, but then succeed on the second try with a double superkick!
19) Trevor Murdoch – Trevor Murdoch is given a Very European uppercut by Cesaro and then launched out of the ring by his tag team partner, Magnus.
18) Mad Dog Vachon – Mad Dog Vachon exits the ring when he charges at Christopher Daniels and Kazarian to give them a double clothesline, only to end up getting a double hip toss over the top rope.
17) Tyson Kidd – Tyson Kidd falls victim to a nasty one-handed chokehold from Kurrgan, who just powers him up and over the top rope with a chokeslam!
16) Kurrgan – After dropping Tyson Kidd from the ring and letting out a frighting big man scream, Kurrgan gets sent over the top rope from behind by Lance Storm, Leo Burke, Cesaro, and Bo Dallas.
15) Bo Dallas – Dallas makes the mistake of trying to high five Cesaro after they worked together to eliminate The Acadian Giant. Cesaro lays into him with multiple European uppercuts and then flings him over the top rope!
14) Magnus – Magnus is the next man out of the match after trying to whip Rowdy Roddy Piper. He reverses it and sends Magnus into a dropkick from his tag team partner, Cesaro, who doesn’t seem to care much about the mishap. “Macho Man” Randy Savage helps Piper pick up Magnus and dump him from the ring. Afterwards, Magnus and Maryse Ouellet argue with Cesaro. Magnus says he had enough time not to perform the planned dropkick. Cesaro claims that he started the move as soon as Magnus went for the whip.
13) Cesaro – All of this bickering distracts Cesaro long enough for Dean Malenko to come up from behind and throw him over the top rope. Now, Cesaro gets on Magnus’ case about distracting him. Maryse tells them to stop fighting, but appears to be taking Magnus’ side in the dispute as they argue with each other on their walk away from ringside.
12) Lance Storm – Lance Storm’s night comes to an end when he is triple teamed by the members of Californiacation.
11) Goldust – The newest member of Californiacation gets taken over the top rope with a running clothesline from Leo Burke. He stays on the apron, but receives a baseball slide kick to the abdomen from “Macho Man” Randy Savage to knock him off of the apron.
10) Yvon “Le Lion” Robert – Le Lion is the next man to leave the ring after an attempt by Tajiri to spit mist into the face of “Superstar” Billy Graham misses and hits him. After being blinded his stablemate’s mist, Dean Malenko swoops in for the kill.
9) Yoshihiro Tajiri – After missing his intended victim on a mist assault attempt and hitting the leader of the Montréal Mafia instead, Tajiri lets his guard down for a moment too long and gets tossed from the ring by the very man he tried to spray with his mist – “Superstar” Billy Graham!
8) Rowdy Roddy Piper – Piper is eliminated by Kazarian under controversial circumstances. Tajiri and Yvon Robert try to cause “Superstar” Billy Graham to get eliminated, requiring the attention of all of the ringside officials. While they are dealing with the eliminated Montréal Mafioso, Piper sends Kazarian out to the floor and then begins to battle Christopher Daniels. Kazarian slides back into the ring, grabs Piper from behind and sends him packing. One of the referees sees him get up, climb back into the ring and remove both members of Bad Influence from the ring. The officials declare him eliminated and force him out of the competition. They declare the elimination of both members of Bad Influence illegal and state that both men are still in the competition. However, they play dead on the floor for quite some time while the other five remaining competitors – “The Iceman” Dean Malenko, Leo Burke, “Million Dollar Man” Ted DiBiase, “Macho Man” Randy Savage and stablemate “Superstar” Billy Graham – fight tooth and nail with each other.
7) “The Iceman” Dean Malenko – Dean Malenko falls victim to the teamwork of the “Million Dollar Man” Ted DiBiase and “Superstar” Billy Graham, who agreed to enter into a pact once there were only five men left standing in the ring.
6) Leo Burke – Ted DiBiase and Billy Graham nearly cause Leo Burke to be their next victim, however he manages to cling onto the ropes for dear life, then come back into the ring and put Graham in jeopardy of being eliminated. It is at this point that Christopher Daniels and Kazarian suddenly spring to life and rejoin the match. They save Graham from elimination by sending Burke over the top rope instead.
4 & 5) Bad Influence – Christopher Daniels and Kazarian are eliminated simultaneously by the “Macho Man” Randy Savage, when he takes advantage of their decision to pause and gloat about elminiating Leo Burke. They both end up going over the top rope with a double running clothesline from Savage.
3) “Million Dollar Man” Ted DiBiase – DiBiase offers to pay “Macho Man” Randy Savage to work with him to eliminate “Superstar” Billy Graham. Savage refuses the offer brawls with DiBiase instead. Graham appears to be going to help Savage because of DiBiase turning on him, but attacks Savage instead. He works him over in the corner. When DiBiase rushes in to help, Savage somehow manages to boot him in the face, then he rakes Graham’s eyes and knocks him over with a back elbow to the side of the head. When DiBiase gets up, Savage grabs him and pitches him over the top rope!
2) “Superstar” Billy Graham – a bit of back-and-forth fighting culminates with “Superstar” Billy Graham getting “Macho Man” Randy Savage over the top rope. However, he holds onto the top rope and avoids touching the floor with his feet. Savage runs to the turnbuckle, climbs up and takes Graham down with a diving double-axehandle smash. Then, he gives him a bodyslam and a vertical suplex. Savage finishes him off with an exclamation point by giving him the flying elbow drop, before picking up the lifeless Superstar and throwing him over the top rope!
Official Decision: “Macho Man” Randy Savage wins by being the lone survivor of the match.
By virtue of winning tonight’s 30-man battle royal main event, “Macho Man” Randy Savage has earned the opportunity to face “Stone Cold” Steve Austin for the Mash-Up World Heavyweight Championship at JOURNEY TO GREATNESS on May 31, 2014!
