“Oh, the Boss is Coming!” by The Arkells (of Hamilton, Ontario), from the album Jackson Square (2008)
Our show begins with the AGPW wing of the Illuminati – that wretched disease that is plaguing the Mash-Up Universe – otherwise known as Californiacation, coming to the ring. It’s the entire group – “Superstar” Billy Graham, Christopher Daniels, Frankie Kazarian and the group’s all-star manager, the great “Classy” Freddie Blassie – coming to the ring. Once they enter the ring, sure enough, Blassie makes a few statements to get under the skin of many of the fans in attendance before getting on point by issuing a declaration of war against the Montréal Mafia for its actions during the Graham-Piper #1 Contender’s Match, last week.
He turns the microphone over Graham, who made his AGPW debut here in Charlottetown during the very first episode of AGPW’s Dynamite Saturday Night. The Tower of Power is not a happy man at the moment because he reviewed the tape from last week and saw the clear evidence of the Montréal Mafia’s personal hitman, Yoshihiro Tajiri, holding his feet down and preventing him from kicking out of Rowdy Roddy Piper’s pinfall. That, according to Graham, was the act of a cowardly lion trying to keep a bigger animal away from his throne. Graham accuses Yvon “Le Lion” Robert of being more chicken than lion and says that ordering one of his pawns to hold the Man of the Hour’s feet down is the very act that will lead to the end of the Mafia as we know it.
Graham turns the microphone back over to Blassie who says that Californiacation – an extension of the Illuminati – has its own special ways of dealing with problems. He understands that Frenchy Martin runs his mouth and talks a good game and that the Montréal Mafia is certainly an intimidating force feared by many. However, he says that its power and frightening might is all relative. Where the Montréal Mafia may have rules with an iron fist in the small confines of Eastern Canada, Californiacation is a phenomenon as big as the entire country of Canada, with the backing of a bigger and more powerful ‘mafia’ hailing from the Big Apple – New York City! And, tonight, just so happens to be the beginning of the end for the Montréal Mafia, as Blassie says that Californiacation is about to strike back and strike back with a blow a thousand times more powerful than what was done to it last week.
Blassie turns the microphone over to Christopher Daniels and Frank Kazarian, collectively known as the Bad Influence of Atlantic Grand Prix Wrestling! Both Daniels and Kazarian take the time to talk at length about their various accomplishments as a tag team and how they’ve won various tag team championships all of the world, but have never won the North American Tag Team Championship Titles in Atlantic Grand Prix Wrestling. They posit that tonight might be a good time to change that.
Frenchy Martin and the North American Tag Team Champions, Dino Bravo & Mad Dog Vachon, take the bait. They walk out on the entrance set, where Martin tells Bad Influence that they will not be receiving a shot at the tag team titles because they’ve done nothing to earn it. In fact, they note that they didn’t even win their last tag team match (a DQ loss to Christian Cage and “Macho Man” Randy Savage, two weeks ago). They’ve hardly done anything to qualify for a shot and believe that there are no tag teams that look like top contenders at the moment, least of all Bad Influence. Bad Influence mentions that in their experience as tag team champions elsewhere, they were mandated to defend their titles within a certain number of days or else they would have to forfeit them. They were doing a little bit of research and found that it has been 41 days since the last time the titles were defended and the rules state that the titles must be defended at least once every six weeks, meaning that if the champions don’t want to forfeit their titles, they must defend them tonight!
The Montréal Mafia members steadfastly refuse to defend their titles right here on the spot, but they must defend the titles now because to wait until the next Dynamite Saturday Night would be too late. The title defense crises becomes all the more clear when an AGPW referee appears and orders the champions into the ring. They continue to protest, but it doesn’t stop the referee from entering the ring and calling for the bell to begin the match. He starts counting out the champions. If they don’t enter the ring to compete in this match, they will forfeit and, effectively, forfeit their titles tomorrow. Faced with this reality, the champions charge to the ring and the fight is on!
The match began with a brief four man brawl right before the first commercial break. Going into and during our first commercial break, Bad Influence took control, showing superior athleticism and using their speed advantage to maintain the offensive advantage. Quick tags and double team moves prove that Daniels and Kazarian are a well-oiled team, firing on all cylinders. They stay control of this match until a referee distraction by Frenchy Martin opens the door for Dino Bravo to come into the ring and nearly take Kazarian’s head off with a running clothesline. Daniels enters the ring to try to stop the illegal attack, but gets held back by the referee, which gives Bravo more time to hammer away at Kazarian and drop him to the back with a delayed falling belly-to-back suplex. Mad Dog Vachon goes for the pin, but Kazarian kicks out. Vachon complains about Daniels, which lets him sneak in an illegal chokehold. Now, the champions are showing the challengers how it is done, as they take turns beating up Kazarian. They make a number of pin attempts, but Kazarian either kicks out of all of them or Daniels makes the save. The match turns back in the favour of Bad Influence when Kazarian ducks a clothesline and takes Vachon down with a springboard, spinning hurricanrana. After that Vachon picks up Kazarian and tries to give him a powerbomb, but Kazarian goes right over top of him and takes him down with a sunset flip. Vachon rolls through it and tries to pounce on Kazarian, but he kick-shoves Vachon away and leaps over to tag Daniels. He comes in and has a good run of offense culminating with a reverse STO and Koji Clutch applied to Vachon. Bravo breaks it up. Kazarian comes in and fights with him. Daniels goes up top for the Best Moonsault Ever, but Vachon gets dragged out of the way by Martin, which gets Blassie in an uproar. With the referee being tied up with Blassie, Bravo drags Vachon back to his corner and shouts at the referee to pay attention before tagging in. He tries to give Daniels an airplane spin, but he breaks free and nails an enzigurri kick! Daniels sets up the Angel’s Wings, but Bravo counters with a back drop. Daniels lands on his feet and tags out. Daniels ducks a clothesline and runs to the ropes. He hits Bravo with a lariat as Kazarian gets him with a chop block. They follow that up with a slingshot elbow drop (Daniels) and slingshot leg drop (Kazarian) combo. Kazarian pins. Martin gets on the ring apron to try to run a distraction, but Blassie pulls him down and they get into a fight. Vachon breaks up the pin just in time. He and Daniels duke it out. Meanwhile, Kazarian grabs Bravo and gives him his Wave of the Future STO and pins. 1…2…3! Bad Influence win the match and become the new North American Tag Team Champions!
SoCal Val is with “Classy” Freddy Blassie, Frank Kazarian and Christopher Daniels to get their reaction to having just won the North American Tag Team Champion Titles. Kazarian and Daniels take turns cutting a promo that basically underlines how their confidence and skill was many times greater than those of the former tag team champions and, in full on cocky heel mode, stating emphatically that they knew they would be victorious because Bad Influence is the single greatest tag team in the entire mash-up wrestling universe. Freddy Blassie goes on to talk himself and Bad Influence up for having concocted an extraordinary plan to force the hand of the Montréal Mafia to defend its titles against them. Blassie knew that Dino Bravo and Mad Dog Vachon were no match for Kazarian and Daniels and they proved. Finally, Californiacation will celebrate this momentous occasion by letting everyone around the world worship the new North American Tag Team Champions!
Owen Hart enters the ring first. Before his opponent arrives, a video of the Blue Blazer appears on the arena’s jumbotron. He gives a brief message stating that he has chosen to decline the opportunity to compete against Hart due to an undisclosed injury. Therefore, his opponent will be The Mountie. Then, he mockingly wishes Hart good luck before promising him that there is no chance that he will defeat The Mountie and free his fellow Calgarians from serving their sentences in full. Just as the message ends, The Mountie attacks Owen Hart from behind. The video served as a distraction to let The Mountie sneak into the ring and gain the early advantage. The Mountie is in complete control for the first few minutes, giving Hart a breathtaking dropkick, diving clothesline, and many moves focused on weakening his lower back. As he appears to be in complete control and in an effort to insult his opponent, The Mountie goes to apply Hart’s very own sharpshooter on him. However, as he goes for the move and pauses to talk trash to him, Hart reaches up and pulls him into a small package. 1…2…3! He gets a surprise victory. AGPW officials walk onto the entrance set, where Lance Storm and Tyson Kidd are being held inside of a cage. They go to unlock the cage, when suddenly Manik and Suicide show up to try to stop them. As they rough up the officials, the referee with the key tosses it into the cage. Storm unlocks the cage from the inside and he and Kidd come out to take care of the masked henchmen. After that, they rush down to the ring to come to Hart’s aid, as he was being attacked with a chair by The Mountie. They scare him off and together the trio of Calgarians celebrate in the ring.

Official Decision: Owen Hart wins by pinfall
Returning backstage, Jeremy Borash is with Frenchy Martin and the International Heavyweight Champion, Yvon “Le Lion” Robert. Together, they cut a promo about how Californiacation got lucky when Bad Influence defeated Dino Bravo and Mad Dog Vachon for the North American Tag Team Titles. They promise, however, that the tag titles will not cross the continent for long and will soon return to where it rightfully belongs, in hands of the Montréal Mafia. Moving on, Robert says that the treachery of the spray tanned Californians will at least not gain possession of the most valued prize in AGPW – Le Lion’s International Heavyweight Championship. Martin and Robert mock “Superstar” Billy Graham for lacking the talent and skill inside of the ring to match the grandiose words that come out of his mouth. Borash wants to know how Robert feels going into tonight’s match against Rowdy Roddy Piper. Robert says that he knows that Piper is highly unpredictable and has a hot temper. He believes that his short fuse will work against him because Le Lion is a tactical and technical mastermind inside of the ring and if Piper loses his head, he’ll lose the match, as Robert will let his mistakes work in his favour. Robert promises another successful title defence tonight!

VS.
Goldust w/ Marlena vs. Eric Young
It’s a battle of the bizarre one and the crazy one! Goldust is in classic mid-90s heel form, but using a later gold and black look, as opposed to the original gold and white. Eric Young is still sporting his massive beard because he’s a Canadian redneck fisherman who might be insane. Plus, Marlena is at ringside. She adds an extra flavour of mystery and intrigue to the proceedings, as she takes a seat in her director’s chair and puffs away on her unlit cigar. The action is really slow to start. The first few minutes are mostly composed of Goldust’s mind games and Young’s atypical reactions to them. He doesn’t seem to be at all bothered by Goldust’s antics (or advances) and appeals to the crowd to cheer him on. However, once we get down to business, after 2-3 minutes of back and forth action, Goldust settles into the advantage after countering a back body drop set up by dropping to the mat and punching Young square in the jaw with an uppercut. Goldust maintains control throughout most of the rest of the match, relinquishing it, but once. However, he holds onto the ropes during a frankensteiner attempt and then hits Young with a diving clothesline, after which he gives him Shattered Dreams and the Final Cut to earn the victory in his AGPW debut!
Official Decision: Goldust wins by pinfall
Iron Shiek = Yvon “Le Lion” Robert
*Commercial Break 4*
We go backstage where we find The Blue Blazer entering The Mountie’s locker room. He gives him a hard time about losing the match to Owen Hart and, in turn, releasing the Calgarian thieves, Lance Storm and Tyson Kidd, back into the general public. The Mountie complains that The Blue Blazer didn’t give him the necessary backup to prevent this atrocity from happening. Now, instead of having all three of Calgary’s most wanted offenders behind bars, they’re all on the loose and ready to re-offend! This leads to an escalating blame game that continues as we go back to ringside for the next match.
VS. w/
Samoa Joe vs. Antonio Cesaro w/ Maryse Ouellet
After beating Antonio Cesaro’s tag team partner, Magnus, in singles competition, two weeks ago, Samoa Joe now faces the Swiss Superman in a match that was signed after Samoa Joe declined an invitation to become a client of Maryse Ouellet and then fought off an attack by Magnus and Cesaro, the latter of whom vowed get revenge. The match begins with some grappling and an exchange of holds. Both men give us a small display of their technical wrestling abilities. While Joe has the weight advantage, he doesn’t necessarily have the strength advantage. Cesaro has incredible power and uses it to break Joe’s holds and slap on his own. Eventually, the match transitions into a slugfest, as both men trade running kicks, punches and chops. The crowd gets on its feet when they both stand tall and lay into each other for nearly a full minute, with Cesaro absorbing several knife-edge chops and Joe taking his fair share of European uppercuts to the chin. After trading blows for a minute, Cesaro lands two blows in a row and follows it with a gutwrench suplex to take control of the match. The match turns in Joe’s favour when he is able to escape the Cranial Crunch and drop Cesaro into the mat with the CSS enzigurri kick. When both men get up, Joe begins to build momentum. He looks to be on his way to the finish line until he tries to pick up Cesaro for the Muscle Buster, only to have him block it and counter with a fisherman’s suplex. Joe kick out of the pinfall. Cesaro then gives him a Cesaro Swing, spinning the big man around for 12 revolutions! However, when Cesaro sets up for the Neutralizer, Joe counters with a back body drop. When Cesaro gets up, he blocks Joe’s strike attempt and counters with his own, but Joe ducks it and locks on the Coquina Clutch! Cesaro attempts to fight his way out of it, but gets brought down to the mat with no way to escape. After a valiant effort to fight off the hold and realizing there’s no way out, Cesaro taps out, handing the victory to Samoa Joe.
Official Decision: Samoa Joe wins by submission
*Commercial Break 5*
The Fabulous Moolah comes down to the ring. She takes a microphone and gives us a history lesson that begins with her entry into the business, moves onto her three decade long reign as the women’s world champion of professional wrestling, and ends with her arrival in Atlantic Grand Prix Wrestling. She says that she came here to help an old friend, Emile Duprée, build a women’s division that is the envy of the rest of the mash-up universe and to prove to the rest of the world that she can reign supreme at the top of the most competitive women’s wrestling division in wrestling history. Of course, this brings her to her next point: the appearance of BCCW’s Awesome Kong on last week’s show. She reminds us that, last week, Awesome Kong threatened to come to AGPW to make every remaining undefeated woman in the company lose to her. Well, the matriarch of AGPW is drawing the line in front of her and wants to nip this thing in the butt right away. With that in mind, Moolah challenges Awesome Kong to a match, right here, right now! She says that she’s going to show the world that no matter whether she’s twice the size or a hundred times the size of her, there is no match for Fabulous Moolah!
Not so fast! Here comes Gail Kim. She enters the ring and says that Moolah isn’t the only undefeated woman in AGPW that Awesome Kong put on notice. She, too, was put on notice. Moreover, Kim also recalls how she was attacked by Kong at MAYHEM IN MONTRÉAL and wishes to avenge herself. She also has experience facing and defeating her, so she tells Moolah that if anyone is going to rid AGPW of the BCCW behemoth, it is her. This doesn’t sit very well with Moolah who wants all of the fame and glory that would go along with defeating a rival promotion’s monster and making her disappear.
Cue Commissioner Billy Two Rivers. He comes out and says that he cannot permit either of them to face Awesome Kong because she is not a member of the AGPW roster. However, he is reminded of the fact that the match between both of these undefeated talents at MAYHEM IN MONTRÉAL resulted in a no contest. He feels it is his duty to give the fans a second chance to see that match. Therefore, at the next Dynamite Saturday Night, on March 1, it will be Gail Kim versus Fabulous Moolah! And to prevent outside interference and to make sure that there will be a winner, it will be a lumberjill match!

VS.
Christian Cage vs. “The Iceman” Dean Malenko
There is a lot riding on this match for Dean Malenko. If he wins, he will no longer be suspended from the active roster. However, if he loses, his suspension will be reset to day one and doubled in length to two months. There’s nothing riding on this match for Christian Cage other than a win or lose. He was simply chosen to compete in the match to give Malenko a difficult opponent to have to defeat in order to have his suspension ended. The match opens up as a technical showcase. The Canadian fans are big fans of highly skilled ring work and give them a few ovations after some great back-and-forth sequences of chain wrestling, as well as of pins and counter-pins. Both men show a great propensity for countering each other’s offense, stunting each man’s attempts to build any momentum or gain an advantage. For example, Cage’s tilt-a-whirl headscissors attempt is turned into a tilt-a-whirl backbreaker. Malenko’s hurricanrana attempt is turned into a sit out powerbomb. Cage’s diving cross body block attempt is turned into a backbreaker. Malenko’s leap onto Cage’s shoulders to go for a victory roll is turned into an electric chair drop. Cage’s frankensteiner attempt is blocked and followed up by a missile dropkick. Malenko’s attempt at a northern lights suplex is blocked and reversed into an inverted DDT. A charge at Malenko by Cage is telegraphed into a Samoan drop. A whip of Cage into the corner by Malenko turns into a corner springboard sunset flip. The back-and-forth and many failed pinfall attempts has the crowd on the end of its seats.
With both men slowing down after a long fight, the match continues with the action spilling out to the floor. Malenko chops Cage into the ropes and gives him a clothesline over top. Cage lands on the ring apron and they trade punches. Cage goes for a suplex, but Malenko lands on the apron. Again, they trade punches and then Malenko kicks Cage and then gives him a double underhook suplex from the apron to the floor! He brings Cage to his feet and whips him into the guardrail. Malenko charges at him and gets a backbody drop over the guardrail. Cage crawls back into the ring. Malenko just barely beats out the referee’s count to avoid being counted out. Christian stomps away at Malenko, then picks him up and gives him a vertical suplex. Cage climbs the turnbuckle and goes for a frog splash, but Malenko rolls out of the way. When they get up, Malenko grabs Cage from behind and gives him a bridging German suplex. 1…2… kick out! Malenko grabs Cage by the legs to try to apply the Taxas cloverleaf, but Cage kicks him away. Malenko falls back into the referee, who stumbles to the ground. Meanwhile, Malenko goes to attack Cage as he’s getting up, only to be shoved away and given a standing dropkick, sending Malenko falling into the referee a second time. Cage waits for Malenko to get up and tries to give him the Unprettier, but Malenko pushes him away. He goes for a hurricanrana, but Cage plants the counter powerbomb and holds for the pin, but there’s no referee. Cage goes to check on the referee. As he tries to wake him, Malenko eventually comes back around. He spins Cage around and they engage in a fist fight, which ends when Malenko gives Cage a stiff kick to the crotch. He crumples over in pain. Malenko acts nonchalant about it, making it difficult to tell whether it was intentional. Still, he’s unphased and uses it to his advantage, giving Cage a gutwrench powerbomb and then putting him in the Texas cloverleaf. Cage looks like he may tap, but fights through it and makes to the ropes. However, there is no rope break, as the referee is still down. Malenko releases the hold just to drop his knees into Cage’s lower back multiple times, then reapplies the cloverleaf and drags Cage away from the ropes. He tries to drag himself back to the ropes again, just as the referee has recovered and is back on the scene. However, this time, Cage fails to make to the ropes and Malenko drags him away, forcing Cage to tap out. “The Iceman” wins ending his suspension.
Official Decision: “The Iceman” Dean Malenko wins by submission

International Heavyweight Championship Match
Yvon “Le Lion” Robert w/ Frenchy Martin vs. Rowdy Roddy Piper
Yvon “Le Lion” Robert w/ Frenchy Martin vs. Rowdy Roddy Piper
It’s the confident patriarch of the Montréal professional wrestling scene versus the Scottish lunatic. The International Heavyweight Champion, Yvon “Le Lion” Robert, looks to retain his championship and at least maintain some degree of prestige for the Montréal Mafia within the mash-up universe. Losing all of the AGPW gold in one night would not bode well for the organization’s standing in AGPW or the greater mash-up universe. Rowdy Roddy Piper is looking to prove that his win last week was not all because of the Montréal Mafia’s involvement in the match by winning the championship against the very man who heads the organization that tainted his victory. Earlier tonight, Piper had some harsh words for Robert and promised to win the match by any means necessary.
Piper begins the match by engaging Robert in his own style. They are catch-as-can wrestling and Piper is matching Robert surprisingly well. This seems to be bothering him as his facial expressions are those of a frustrated man. However, after getting a break in the action, backing into a corner and getting some advice from Frenchy Martin, who speaks into his ear, he tries to grapple with Piper again. However, Piper’s plays great mind games here, as he now refuses to lock up with the expert grappler. He evades a few of Robert’s grappling attempts and pokes fun at the Champion, much to the delight of the crowd. Then, Piper makes like he’s serious about wrestling again and prepares to lock up, only to sucker Robert in and get some jabs in on him. He backs Le Lion into the corner and uses his face like a speed bag. Piper, an accomplished amateur boxer, continues to use Robert as a punching bag until he finally decides to send Robert across the ring with an Irish whip. Piper starts charging across the ring, but Robert comes out of the corner and takes Piper down with a Lou Thesz Press. He pummels away at his challenger before picking him up and executing a pair of vertical suplexes. Robert immediately tries to apply his arm-trap headscissors, but Piper squirms away under the ropes and out to the floor. He trips up Robert and pulls him out to the floor. He gives him a spinning armbar and goes for the whip, but Robert counters and Piper hits the guardrail. Robert charges at him and buries a knee into his mid-section. Robert lays into Piper with some chops. He rolls into the ring and back out to break the count. Then, he pulls the monitors out from the English language broadcast table while screaming, “Vive le Québec!” He grabs Piper and hammers away at his back. He brings him over to the table and tries to lift him for a powerbomb, but Piper resists and then counters with a back body drop on the floor. Piper slides into the ring and back out. He picks up the Champion and rolls him into the ring. Piper goes to the second turnbuckle and executes a diving punch to the throat! He pins, but Robert kicks out. Piper locks on a rear headlock. After spending a bit of time in the hold, Robert gets to his feet and breaks it with some elbows to the abdomen. He runs to the ropes and receives an arm drag. Piper runs over to give him a bulldog as he’s getting to his feet, but Robert avoids the attempt. When Piper gets up, Robert takes him down with a leg drag, flips Piper over and applies a surfboard. Piper refuses to quit and Robert eventually breaks the hold, and then drops some elbows across the back of his neck He follows those up with a crossface. Piper is really hurting, but drags himself over to the ropes after about half a minute. Robert breaks and then plays the crowd only to receive a chorus of boos.
At this time, he looks towards the entrance set to see “Classy” Freddie Blassie and “Superstar” Billy Graham standing and watching. Robert screams out to them to leave and then tells Martin to do something about it. When Robert goes over to grab Piper, he receives a thumb to the eye, three right hands and a DDT. Piper with the pin. 1…2... kick out! Piper goes to a grounded headlock. Meanwhile, Martin has ventured away from ringside to confront Blassie and Graham, who claim to only be watching with great interest. Suddenly, Dino Bravo, Mad Dog Vachon and Yoshihiro Tajiri enter. With tensions running high, the new North American Tag Team Champions, Bad Influence, jump Montréal Mafia from behind! There’s a giant fight taking place on the entrance set, as Graham gets involved. A large number of officials storm out to try to contain the fight and make sure it stays away from ringside.
Back in the ring, Piper and Robert jostle and struggle over a vertical suplex. In the end, neither man executes the move as Piper switches gears with a surprise small package that nearly wins the match! They get up and Piper throws a haymaker, Robert leans back to avoid it, then gives Piper a falling double knee backbreaker. He follows that up with the arm-trap headscissors. Piper flails around looking for an escape, but can’t find one. He tries to swing his body around to get his feet to some ropes, but they are about a foot out of reach. This goes on for nearly a minute, when Robert breaks the headscissors to kick Piper multiple times to the head before throwing the headscissors back on. Piper is now in a bad way and quickly loses consciousness, forcing the referee to call the match in favour of the champion.
Official Decision: Yvon “Le Lion” Robert wins by submission
Following the match, while Robert is celebrating his victory, “Superstar” Billy Graham manages to slip away from the pack fighting on the entrance ramp to attack Robert from behind. He beats away at him takes him out of the ring, where he slams Robert’s face across the guardrail and then whips him into the ringsteps. Graham points at the English language broadcast table, which Robert himself prepared to put Piper through and then drags the International Heavyweight Champion over. As he’s bringing him around, “Macho Man” Randy Savage bursts out, cuts through the Californiacation-Mafia war taking place near the entrance and down the entrance aisle, runs around the ring and attacks Graham with a huge running clothesline. Savage goes to town on Graham, punching him, throwing him into the ringsteps and hitting him with a chair. Savage finishes off the attack by placing Graham on the play-by-play table. He points to the top turnbuckle to signal what’s next and the crowd pops. However, a bloodied Robert hits him across the head with the International Heavyweight Championship belt. He brings Savage over to the side of the play-by-play table and powerbombs him on top of Graham, putting them both through the table to finish our show!
