We start tonight’s show off with “Sensational” Sherri coming down to the ring. She grabs a microphone and immediately talks herself up as being the greatest thing on the planet and laments that everyone seems to be forgetting that. It’s a rehash of what she said last week, which leads her straight into reminding everyone that she extended an open challenge to the entire roster last week and she’s promising to compete against and defeat whoever answers that challenger – right here, right now!
Awesome Kong comes down to the ring. Sherri starts to panic and starts saying that her open challenge is only open to AGPW wrestlers, but it is of no use, Awesome Kong has entered the ring and there is nowhere for Sherri to go.
VS.
Sensational Sherri vs. Awesome Kong
Sherri tries to get out of this situation by talking, but Kong doesn’t back off. She just charges at Sherri and knocks her down with a standing avalanche splash. Kong orders the referee to ring the bell. She continue to beat Sherri around with high impact power moves. At first, the crowd cheers the assault on Sherri, but the cheers turn to boos as Kong declares that the competition in AGPW is weak and rips on the fans for supporting the talentless lot as represented by the likes of the woman she’s stomping into a mudhole. Sherri is uncustomed to being dominiated in such a fashion, but she’s incapable of putting up a fight against this unexpected challenger. Kong dares others to come to Sherri’s aid, but no one is coming, not even Sherri’s recent allies, the Canadian Ninjas. After a long, slow, methodical assault on Sherri, Awesome Kong finally gives her the Awesome Bomb to pick up the win. Sherri finally suffers her first loss via pinfall. After the match, Awesome Kong asks for a microphone and announces that all of the other undefeated women in AGPW can expect to see their perfect records vanish in the coming weeks. Without naming names, she’s just put Natalya Neidhart, Gail Kim and Fabulous Moolah on notice that she’s coming for them. Is Awesome Kong in AGPW to stay?
Official Decision: Awesome Kong wins by pinfall

“Classy” Freddie Blassie bumps into Cyrus backstage and asks him who will be competing in tonight’s #1 Contender’s Match. Cyrus tells him that the decision hasn’t been finalized and that he’s working to convince Commissioner Two Rivers that whoever it is must pop the ratings. Blassie reminds him of his advice from last week and tells him that only a true SUPERSTAR has the power to pop the ratings. If he takes any two men who are equally deserving of a shot based on their ring records, side with the one who is most likely to bring in the ratings. That’s what a SUPERSTAR does. Cyrus thanks him for the advice. Might Blassie have subliminally influenced Cyrus to get “Superstar” Billy Graham into tonight’s main event? We’ll find out later.
VS.
Owen Hart vs. Robbie E
The in-ring debut of the “King of Harts” Owen Hart is a smashing success. He spends very little time on the defensive in this match. Robbie E gets a few moves in on him, but for the most part, it’s all Owen Hart and he wraps it things up fairly quickly with an enzigurri kick leading into a sharpshooter that secures the submission victory. Following the match, Hart reveals to everyone that Commissioner Billy Two Rivers has ordered a tag team match to take place next week, with he and Rowdy Roddy Piper to take on The Blue Blazer and The Mountie with the stipulation being that if his team wins, The Blue Blazer and The Mountie must grant Lance Storm and Tyson Kidd amnesty for whatever their supposed crimes happen to be. Hart promises that he and Piper will be victorious and free Storm and Kidd from the very people he says are the real criminals in AGPW.
Official Decision: Owen Hart wins by submission
We go back to a shot of the backstage employee entance to the arena and find Dean Malenko arriving at the entrance. Security refuses to allow him to enter. Just like last week, he’s informed by a road agent that he was suspended from active duty and is therefore barred from entering AGPW events until he has finished serving his suspension. Malenko tells him that he was told the same thing last week, but that he still hasn’t spoken to the Commissioner’s office about it. Unlike last week, he says that he is not going to leave without talking to Commissioner Two Rivers. The road agent tells him that Two Rivers is unavailable this evening. Malenko looks agitated for a fleeting moment and then calmly tells the road agent that he’s going to have to make Two Rivers available to speak to him. The road agent refuses, saying that he doesn’t have the authority to tell the Commissioner what to do. Then, Malenko says, ”that’s too bad for you, now, isn’t it?” before striking the road agent. The other security officials try to detain Malenko, but to no avail. He takes them all out and barges into the arena.
*Commercial Break 2*
Our show is suddenly put on hold by the first appearance of “No Class” Bobby Bass in AGPW in 2014! Bass is in a foul mood. He comes to the ring and takes a microphone. He starts bad mouthing management for constantly forgetting to put him on television. It’s been at least two month since we’ve last seen him. Furthermore, he rages at the fans for failing to put together a grassroots campaign to demand that Bass gets more air time on their television screens. He claims to be the unsung hero and uncrowned International Champion of AGPW and demands more respect from management, the wrestlers in the back, and the fans who cannot appreciate that they have an opportunity watch the best this business has to offer, week in and week out, but instead demand to see more of Samoa Joe, Christian Cage, Leo Burke, and “Macho Man” Randy Savage. The fans pop at the mention of each of these names.
Bass’ tirade is put to an end when “The Iceman” Dean Malenko enters the ring and attacks him. After a very short beatdown with his fists, Malenko gives Bass a gutwrench powerbomb and then kicks Bass out of the ring. Malenko is cheered for his actions, but the cheers quickly come to an end when Malenko starts airing out his own complaints against management, of which he has a few. He thinks he’s been given a raw deal ever since the night that Yvon “Le Lion” Robert stole the International Heavyweight Championship from him. He doesn’t believe that Robert should have been allowed to have a match. Then, he complains that Robert actively avoided having a re-match. Moreover, once he got another shot at the title, another man was allowed into the match, and he cost him his chance to regain that title. His one-on-one rematch has never happened. Finally, he complains about being suspended without notice from management. He demands that Commissioner Billy Two Rivers comes to the ring and reverse his suspension on the grounds that he didn’t follow proper procedure in notifying him of his suspension. Two Rivers doesn’t appear. Malenko gives him one more chance to face in the ring or else he’ll be forced to do something that he doesn’t want to and glances over at the commentary teams sitting at ringside.
Commissioner Billy Two Rivers comes to the ring to address Malenko. He apologizes to Malenko for failing to communicate his decision to suspend him. He says that he made several attempts to notify him, personally, but that he could not be reached ahead of last week’s event. Two Rivers confirms that he was suspended for attacking Lord Alfred Hayes and Jacques Rougeau, two members of the television broadcasting crew, which are explicitly off limits for physical contact. Malenko thanks him for finally notifying him, but says that he must now do the honourable thing by reinstating him because due process wasn’t followed appropriately. Two Rivers says that he has reason to be reinstated, but then says that, he still has grounds to serve him a suspension, so he’s found a middle ground. He’s giving Dean Malenko a match, next week. If Malenko wins, he will avoid suspension. If he loses, he’ll be forced to restart his suspension without pay, with the suspension resetting to day one. Malenko accepts the deal and says that he can defeat anyone. Then, he asks who his opponent will be. Two Rivers tells him that the man he must beat to avoid serving a suspension is Christian Cage!
*Commercial Break 3*
Cyrus is walking down a corridor when suddenly, The Blue Blazer appears from out of nowhere. Cyrus is surprised by his appearance. Cyrus tells him that he personally admires The Blue Blazers efforts to clean up crime and rid the wrestling world of the kinds of filth that gives it a bad name. The Blue Blazer thanks him. He goes on to say that he’s appearing before Cyrus because he knows that it is his job to boost this programme’s television ratings. Cyrus confirms that to be the case and wants to know why that matters to him. The Blue Blazer wants to know whether he’s determined who will compete in tonight’s #1 contender’s match. Cyrus says that he’s still struggling to decide which names he should bring to Commissioner Two Rivers and then wonders if the Blazer thinks he should get a spot in the match. He replies that he doesn’t believe that he deserves it, but thinks that Rowdy Roddy Piper has proved he’s deserving of such a spot. Cyrus muses that he is good for ratings but then wonders why Piper’s enemy thinks he deserves a shot. The Blue Blazer says that it is clear to him that he deserves a shot after he’s proven himself to be unbeatable against all of his allies lately – whether it be, Suicide, Manik or Marc Mero. Cyrus thinks that is a good point and thanks him for the suggestion.
w/ VS.
“Marvelous” Marc Mero w/ Candice Michelle vs. Chris Candido
Finally, we get our first truly competitive match of the evening. Both competitors put on a good showing in this one and the push the match to about 13-minutes before it comes to an end. In the opening minutes of the match, Candido and Mero partake in some chain wrestling. Mero is not nearly as crisp as Candido is, but he holds his own in their exchanges for a little while before the chain ends with Candido in control. He continues to try to wear Mero down with technical holds, but Mero eventually takes over on offense and picks up the pace. His offense requires him to run, jump and fly off the top turnbuckles, and he has quite a bit of success with all of this until after scoring a near fall following the Merosault. He decides to send Candido into the corner and charges in, but Candido lifts him up and over the top turnbuckle. Mero manages to get a hand on the top turnbuckle to stop himself from being back bodydropped, but he goes over top anyhow and falls with his hands and face hitting the top of the ring steps. Candido does more damage to Mero by running off of the ring apron and dropkicking Mero back into the steps. Candido gives Mero a few more hard moves on the outside before rolling him into the ring. Candice Michelle protested for the referee to stop the action, but he chose not to. Candido climbs the turnbuckle and connects with the New Jersey Jam. He pins, but Candice Michelle has the referee’s attention, still complaining about allowing Candido to attack Mero on the outside of the ring. Candido goes to confront her, but the referee tries to keep him back. This lasts long enough for Mero to recover and pull Candido down into a roll-up pin, which nearly wins the match. Candido recovers well, avoids a haymaker and takes Mero down with a full-nelson slam. He pins, but Mero kicks out. Candido takes Mero to the corner and tries to set up for the Blonde Bombshell, but Mero fights back, with Candido positioned on the turnbuckle, and finishes fighting him off by taking him to the mat with a frankensteiner. Mero waits for Candido to get up before lifting him into a fireman’s carry. Candido elbows him a couple of times to the side of the head to get down. He attemps a superkick, but Mero blocks it, spins Candido around and gives him a side Russian legsweep. Instead of pinning him, he picks him up and lifts him on his shoulders again, this time executing the TKO. Mero pins and collects the 3-count for the victory in a very hard fought match.
Official Decision: “Marvelous” Marc Mero wins by pinfall
*Commercial Break 4*
VS.
Lance Cade & Trevor Murdoch vs. “The Acadian Giant” Kurrgan & “Killer” Karl Krupp
If Jim Ross were calling this match, he would most definitely label it a slobberknocker. These are big guys who are hitting each other with everything they’ve got. Quick tags and double teams by Cade and Murdoch effectively prevents Kurrgan from playing the role of the dominating monster. However, he manages to break out of the hole that they put him in by getting Murdoch in the Kurrgan Claw from out of nowhere, then leveling Cade with a stiff clothesline when he enters the ring to save his partner. Kurrgan tags out and Krupp comes in to do plenty of damage to Murdoch. Krupp is deceptively quick with his brawling style. He keeps things mostly simple, whipping Murdoch around from corner to corner pummeling and peppering him with stiff punches, back elbows and forearm shots. Murdoch breaks out of his slump, however, when Krupp sets up for a back body drop and Murdoch is able to counter with the Ace of Spades from out of nowhere. However, he’s too hurt to hold on for a pin. Both men crawl to their respective corners and make the tag. Cade runs in and hits Kurrgan with a leaping forearm that causes him to stumble. After a few more punches gets Kurrgan down to a knee, Cade runs to the ropes only to run right back into a spinebuster! Kurrgan pins him and Murdoch makes the save. Krupp comes in to battle with him. Meanwhile, Kurrgan gives Cade a chokeslam and then locks on the Kurrgan Claw. Krupp is throwing Murdoch around at ringside. Murdoch has no chance to make the save and Cade is forced to tap out in this slobberknocker of an affair.
Official Decision: “The Acadian Giant” Kurrgan & “Killer” Karl Krupp win by pinfall
Commissioner Billy Two Rivers and Cyrus are discussing the final details of tonight’s #1 Contender’s Match, with the winner receiving a title match against Yvon “Le Lion” Robert next week. They still haven’t publicly announced who will participate in this one-on-one match, tonight. Cyrus mentions Rowdy Roddy Piper for tonight’s match. Two Rivers thinks offering him a shot is a good idea, but doesn’t think it would be fair to him to pull double duty next week, to which Cyrus responds by saying that he could be excused from the tag team match and that match could be turned into a singles bout if Piper wins tonight. Two Rivers then asks who Owen Hart would face – The Blue Blazer or The Mountie? Cyrus says him, rhetorically, whether it would even matter because the fans will want to see either of those matches anyway. And so, the deliberation continues. Might Rowdy Roddy Piper be in tonight’s main event? We’ll find out later!
*Commercial Break 5*
SoCal Val is standing by with Leo Burke to ask him who he thinks will be chosen to compete in tonight’s number one contender’s match. Burke says that he’s not sure who will be chosen. He hopes that his name is in the running, but thinks that he isn’t likely to get picked seeing as how The Montréal Mafia are set against letting him have a shot at the title one-on-one. Plus, he figures that if Cyrus has any influence in selecting the participants, he’ll be overlooked because Cyrus thinks he can’t bring in ratings. When asked again who he thinks might get the nod, he states that he wouldn’t be surprised if “Superstar” Billy Graham is in the match because the Illuminati appear to have some kind of influence over Cyrus. Speaking of the Illuminati, Val asks him for an explanation for why he rushed to the ring at the end of last week’s main event between Christian Cage & Randy Savage and Bad Influence. Burke said that he’s known the “Macho Man” for a long time and believes that he is a good, respectable man. He said that someone had to stop “Classy” Freddie Blassie from trying to choke the life out of Savage. Asked if he’s worried about becoming a target for payback from Californiacation, he says that he is not. Burke’s always been on someone’s shit list since the day he first stepped into the ring. It has never changed the way he does things or caused him to think twice about doing the right thing.
Jeremy Borash is standing by with the “Macho Man” Randy Savage. Borash begins by asking him for his comments in response to the actions of “Classy” Freddie Blassie at the conclusion of his tag team match with Christian Cage versus Bad Influence, last week. Savage replies by asking Borash what the definition of madness is, but then doesn’t allow him to reply, and tells him it is uncorking a bottle that says, ‘do not open; contents are lethal,’ and opening it anyway! And that’s exactly what “Classy” Freddie Blassie did last week when he entered the ring and attacked the “Macho Man” he uncorked the bottle and let the Macho Madness out. And when it pours out of the bottle, it doesn’t come out calmly, it pours out rapidly, powerfully and violently, like a giant wave. Yeah, a giant wave that grows and grows until it becomes a tsunami so big and powerful that it will wipe California clear off the map! Then, when asked about tonight’s number one contender’s match, Savage says that he hope it will be he and “Superstar” Billy Graham that go toe-to-toe one more time, where we’ll get to see the Macho Madness tsunami annihilate Graham and Blassie once and for all!
Back to SoCal Val we go. She is standing by with “Classy” Freddie Blassie and “Superstar” Billy Graham. She asks Blassie to comment on his actions from last week’s main event. Blassie says that he did what he had to do to teach Randy Savage an important lesson – that he cannot and must not stand in the way of Californiacation or else he will be run over by its mighty force. Blassie goes onto to claim that Savage is but a pencil-neck geek and he set out to prove it last week when he got ready to snap his twig sized pencil neck in half, only to be interrupted by Leo Burke, the local boy and pro wrestling hero of the Atlantic Canadian region. He warns that all regional idols are weak compared to the bright lights and giant signs of Hollywood, which is the home of SUPERSTARS like the Mash-Up Wrestling Champion of the World, Hollywood Hulk Hogan, and the future International Heavyweight Champion, “Superstar” Billy Graham!
Graham tells Val that he’s been looking in her eyes since the moment he walked onto the interview set and he’s noticed that she hasn’t been able to take them off of the magnificent temple that is his body. He doesn’t blame her for looking and wanting to touch. Usually, he says, this is where he’d tell someone admiring his 22 inch arms that they can look but not touch. However, because Val is from SoCal, he’s willing to make an exception for her. Val tells him she’ll take a rain check and asks him about tonight’s main event. Graham responds that if there is but one thing for certain, it is that “Superstar” Billy Graham is going to be in that match, and that if there are but two things for certain, the second is that “Superstar” Billy Graham is going to win that match. For, he claims, that is no greater an international sensation than him and that’s why he will be in the match, he will win the match, and then he will become the International Heavyweight Champion, next week!
And for our final interview before going back to a commercial break, Jeremy Borash is with the International Heavyweight Champion, Yvon “Le Lion” Robert and his mouthpiece, Frenchy Martin. He’s asked for his thoughts about tonight’s number one contender’s match. As always, Robert responds by cutting a promo in French, and Martin translates it into English, for those of us who are not cultured or educated enough to understand, “la belle langue française – la meilleure langue entre les deux langues officielles de Canada et, en effet, la meilleure langue entre toutes les langues au tour du monde!” They tell us that, tonight, someone might have the great fortune of winning a match, but then, that person will also have the misfortune of losing a match to “Le Lion” next week. They go on to say that it doesn’t matter who ends up in tonight’s number one contender’s match because there is no one in AGPW good enough to knock the king of this jungle off of his throne. Le Lion will stand tall in the face of whatever adversity should come his way. He will continue to rule supreme for a long time to come.

Coming Next Week!
You Will Never Forget the Name
VS. w/
Elix Skipper vs. Antonio Cesaro w/ Maryse Ouellet
This is a pretty good match that sees “Primetime” Elix Skipper pop the crowd with a few of his flashy offensive maneuvers. He goes high risk with great results and the fans appreciate him for his efforts and showmanship. However, the Swiss Superman, is in impeccable condition and easily weathers Skipper’s brief flourishes of high risk offense to pull out the victory. Cesaro is an excellent tactician. He’s cold and methodical and his choice of offense shows. He pops the crowd, himself, by giving Skipper a superplex from the ring apron as well as the Very European Uppercut and Cesaro Swing. He wins the match after executing the Neutralizer!
Official Decision: Antonio Cesaro wins by pinfall
Maryse Oullet enters the ring to congratulate Antonio Cesaro on his win, but also to call out Samoa Joe. Joe makes his entrance and comes down to the ring. Maryse reminds us that, last week, she offered Joe the opportunity to become one of her clients. She wants to know whether Joe will make the smart decision by joining her, saying that with her managerial acumen and his ring skills, she can make all of his professional dreams come true. She promises that she will take him to the top faster than he could ever imagine. She’ll bring him to the doorstop of the International Heavyweight Championship virtually overnight. However, she says that if he turns her down, then he’ll have to take the long road to glory and gold, scraping and clawing his way to the top. After that speech, she asks him what his choice will be. Joe looks at Maryse and Cesaro, then steps forward and extends his hand. Maryse and Cesaro celebrate. Maryse goes to accept the handshake, but they don’t shake hands. Joe simple places her business card back into her hand and says, “No thanks.” Joe turns to walk away and Maryse orders Cesaro to strike. He attacks Joe from behind, giving him several European uppercuts. Cesaro whips him. Joe counters and takes him down with a Samoan drop. Magnus runs into the ring. Joe catches him coming and gives him an exploder suplex! Joe stands on guard, ready to pounce, but both men go to the outside and Maryse calls off any further attack. Cesaro points to Joe and says that he’ll make him wish he chose otherwise as Joe stands in the ring with the fans chanting his name.
*Commercial Break 7*
Commissioner Billy Two Rivers makes a brief appearance, walking out onto the DSN entrance set to announce that tonight’s number one contender’s match will be contested between “Superstar” Billy Graham and Rowdy Roddy Piper!
VS. w/
Rowdy Roddy Piper vs. “Superstar” Billy Graham w/ “Classy” Freddie Blassie
Before the match, the International Heavyweight Champion, Yvon “Le Lion” Robert, joins the French language broadcast team to call the action. This is an excellent sports entertainment contest of the classic WWF variety, here. There is plenty of posturing by Graham in the beginning. Also, Blassie does his best to try to get Piper’s attention and distract him. He continuously berates the “Hot Rod.” Piper does his best to ignore Blassie, but can only ignore him for so long. His hot Scottish temper boils over and after transitioning from a wristlock into a knee to the abdomen and a bodyslam. Piper turns his attention to Blassie. He gets into a shouting match with Blassie, which gives Graham enough time to get up and attack Piper from behind. He takes control of the match with a few submission holds, but mostly with the use of his fists and feet. Graham pummels Piper down and then plays to the crowd, showing off his very impressive physique. The wasted time nearly comes back to haunt him when he goes to pick up Piper and ends up falling victim to a surprise small package pin that scores Piper a long 2-count. Graham jumps all over him after that with double axehandle smashes, punches, chops and then a stiff reverse elbow shot to the face after whipping him to the ropes. Graham pins, but only gets a 2-count. Following a vertical suplex, he gets another 2-count. Then, Graham bears down on him with a rear chinlock. Piper works his way to his feet, but Graham stops him from building momentum with a pull of the hair, gauge of the eyes, snapmare, kick to spine and knee drop to the side of the head. Still, Piper manages to kick out. Graham questions the speed of the referee’s count and then lifts Piper high in the air in a gorilla press, but Piper gets down to the mat with an eye rake. He kicks Graham and takes him down with a DDT. Piper is slow to pin, allowing Graham to kick out. Piper starts building momentum after he wins out an exchange of blows with a final hard fist that knocks the “Superstar” clear off of his feet. When Graham tries to get up, Piper with a running cross body press into a pin for two. They get up and trade a few blows until Piper takes Graham over with a vertical suplex that leads to another near fall. Piper brings Graham into the corner and puts to the boots to him. He goes for the cross-corner whip, but Graham reverses. He charges in and gets a boot to the face and then receives a bulldog takedown. Piper pins again, but Graham gets a shoulder up! Piper gets Graham to his feet and sends him into the ropes. He sets up for a back body drop, but Graham counters with a facebuster knee smash and then a clothesline. He pins, but Piper gets a shoulder up!
At this time, Frenchy Martin makes his way down to ringside. He gets Blassie’s attention and they have a heated exchange of words. The referee gets caught up in the middle of this, trying to keep the two managers from coming to blows and ordering Martin to leave. Meanwhile, Yoshihiro Tajiri sneaks into the ring and tries to spray mist at Graham. He anticipates it and ducks. He goes for a clothesline, but misses and Tajiri connects with a savate kick. Then, Piper attacks him, clearly not wanting to win the match due to shenanigans.
The presence of Tajiri, of course, draws Christopher Daniels and Frank Kazarian. However, they don’t make to ringside, when they are blocked by the arguing managers and the referee, who refuses to let them pass. Dino Bravo and Mad Dog Vachon run down the entrance aisle and begin to brawl with Daniels and Kazarian. Additional AGPW ring officials come down to try to put a lid on what’s happening. Meanwhile, back in the ring, Piper gets attacked by Graham, after Piper tosses Tajiri from the ring. He tries for a suplex, but Piper blocks. He attempts his own, but Graham blocks. Piper blocks another, punches Graham’s ribs and finally counters with a vertical suplex. With the referee back in the ring, Piper pins. 1…2…3! Rowdy Roddy Piper wins and gets a shot of the International Heavyweight Championship next week!
Official Decision: Rowdy Roddy Piper wins by pinfall
Following the match, Graham disputes the referee’s decision and claims that outside interference prevented him from kicking out of the . Sure enough, an instant replay from a different camera angle shows Graham attempting to move his legs, but his feet and being held down by Tajiri. The French language feed of the broadcast ends with Yvon “Le Lion” Robert telling Marc Blondin, Jacques Rougeau, and the fans at home that he promised us that “the outsiders” (no doubt a reference to Californiacation) would not be able to take what belongs to the Montréal Mafia!
How will “Superstar” Billy Graham respond to this loss after he and Blassie review the tape of tonight’s match to confirm that the Montréal Mafia cost Graham this match? Tune in next week to find out!
