Dynamite Saturday Night Samedi, le 28 Décembre, 2013 Du Centre Bell à Montréal, Québec “People of the Sticks” by Besnard Lakes (of Montréal, Québec), from the album Until in Excess Imperceptible UFO (2013) Tonight’s Broadcast Features the Ringside Commentary Teams of Ed Whalen and Lord Alfred Hayes (English) Marc Blondin and Raymond Rougeau (Français) *** We open the show with the entire Montréal Mafia coming to the ring to proclaim that they will bring Mayhem to the Centre Bell tomorrow night. All of the hometown heroes hold all of the AGPW gold and they intend on keeping it all once the dust clears and everything is settled. Mad Dog Vachon and Dino Bravo claim that they will dominate Junkyard Dog and Bo Dallas, a pair of familiar foes who’ve never been able to get the job done against them. Tomorrow night, when it matters most, live on pay-per-view and in front of thousands of their hometown fans, the end result will be no different. This go so far as to say that this will be Junkyard Dog and Bo Dallas’ last hurrah – their swan song – because they’re tired of defending their titles against this unworthy duo, so they plan on decimating them to the point that they’ll never compete again. The biggest name in the history of professional wrestling in Montréal is Yvon “Le Lion” Robert. With the help of Frenchy Martin, who provides translation services for those who don’t understand English, Robert cuts a promo reasserting his spot at the top of the animal kingdom. Like Jay-Z runs New York City, Le Lion runs Montréal and this is one you can bank on that will never change. He will always be at the top and there are no other animals out there that can knock him down. Many have tried, but none have succeeded. Robert says that Dean Malenko and Leo Burke are brave men who should at least be commended for having the guts to come into his town to stand up to him and the millions of Montréalais who will be backing him. However, that’s all of the praise they deserve. They should get nothing more because having their names on the marquee next to his is meaningless. Robert’s name is the one that drives the ticket sales and the ratings. Robert’s name is the one that the people care about and will chant incessantly. Robert’s name is in a whole other league and the two of them are merely lambs being led to the slaughter. A lamb will never take the throne because lambs are no match for a lion, one that is in his own element – in his den; in his hometown. Robert is the lion who was born in Montréal and rose to the top of the game. This is his kingdom. He runs this town and there is no one who will take his throne. The fans eat up every word and by the end of it, they are standing and chanting for their hometown heroes. Standing ovations and chants for “Le Lion” and “Montréal Mafia” rang throughout the promo and continue into the commercial break. *Commercial Break 1* This portion of the show features hype videos for the following matches, which are set to take place at MAYHEM IN MONTRÉAL tomorrow night: “Marvelous” Marc Mero w/ Candice Michelle vs. Rowdy Roddy Piper And VS. Lance Storm vs. The Blue Blazer Don’t miss these matches! *Commercial Break 2* Tyson Kidd & Elix Skipper vs. Suicide & Manik After viewing the video packages to promote The Blue Blazer vs. Lance Storm and Marc Mero vs. Roddy Piper, we come back from the commercial to see the other players closely tied to the larger feud in this tag team match. Tyson Kidd is teaming up with Elix Skipper, who hasn’t been involved with the feud was is basically just teaming with Kidd because Suicide and Manik screwed him over in a singles match last week. If you like TNA’s X-Division, you’ll love this one, as this is TNA’s X-Division personified. Mind you, Kidd has never wrestled for TNA, but he fits right in with the likes of Skipper, Suicide and Manik. This is a back and forth match in which neither team ever really gets an advantage because effective counter maneuvers are in abundance in this one. Tags happen quickly and the wrestlers move even quicker. Flashy and exciting high-risk offense is on full display, here. The end game comes when Elix Skipper performs a head stand corkscrew leg drop from the top turnbuckle onto Manik. He goes for the cover, but Suicide pulls him out of the ring at the count of two. They trade blows on the outside. Meanwhile, Kidd enters the ring, grabs Manik and front suplexes him across the top rope. Then, he goes for a slingshot guillotine leg drop, but Manik pulls himself up and out of the way. Then, he gives Kidd a springboard hurricanrana with a cradle, but Kidd kicks out just in time. Kidd tries for a jumping back kick, but Manik blocks it. He grabs Kidd and gives him a rolling fireman’s carry slam, followed by a springboard moonsault. It gets a 2-count before Skipper breaks it up with a slingshot guillotine leg drop to the back of the head! He picks up Manik and gives him Sudden Death! However, before he can pin him, Suicide takes him down with a springboard missile dropkick. Then, he picks up Skipper and gives him the Suicide Solution. Just as he goes down to pin him, Kidd pulls him up and begins to apply the Dungeon Lock. However, just as he gets his legs around Suicide’s waist and tries to pull him down from behind, Manik comes up from behind and breaks it up with a falling double-knee backbreaker! Then, Kidd receives the Suicide Solution from Suicide and he pins for the 3-count, while Manik takes Skipper out of the equation. Official Decision: Suicide & Manik win by pinfall Jeremy Borash is joined by the Fabulous Moolah, who is here to get one final word in edgewise on Gail Kim. Moolah basically reiterates common themes that she has been saying over the last several weeks about how no one is in the right to think that they can rise to the top of the AGPW women’s division. Moolah is women’s wrestling and anyone who fails to understand that will pay a terrible price to learn this lesson. Tomorrow night, it is Gail Kim who will learn that for however talented she thinks she might be, she will never be better than second best. This is the Fabulous Moolah’s game and she owns a monopoly on the top spot in the sport. She’s owned it for decades and she will continue to own it for decades to come. Tomorrow will not be the night of historic firsts in women’s wrestling. It will a night unlike any other night. A night when Moolah triumphs over but another pretender too foolish to have the sense not to cross pathes with the greatest female professional wrestler of all-time. *Commercial Break 3* Returning from the commercial break, SoCal Val is joined by Gail Kim, who gets a chance to present her rebuttal to the Fabulous Moolah. Kim is confident in her talents and her abilities. As proof, she offers the notion that if she wasn’t much of a threat, then other so-called “Top Shelf” talent from other from other promotions wouldn’t make a point of coming to AGPW, in breach of contract, to try to take the spotlight away from her upon her debut in AGPW. This proves that people take her seriously and she cautions the Fabulous Moolah not to take her too lightly or else she can guarantee that she’ll get knocked off of that pedestal that she’s so fond of. Kim promises that tomorrow night, she will go out to the ring and lay it all on the line. She will give Moolah the fight of her life and, when everything is said and done, no one should be surprised to see her hand raised in victory. Sensational Sherri Martel, Portia Perez & Nicole Matthews vs. Taylor Wilde, Natalya Neidhart & Mighty Molly This match has been a long time in the making. It originates with a feud that began between Sensational Sherri and Taylor Wilde. Then, it saw Portia Perez and Nicole Matthews enter into the picture on the side of Sensational Sherri. Eventually, Mighty Molly ended up getting swept into it and she sided with Wilde. Then, most recently, Natalya Neidhart joined the fray to even the sides, targeting Sherri and the Canadian Ninjas for their constant bullying of Wilde and Molly. This match starts off with all six women brawling inside of the ring until Wilde, Molly and Neidhart have dumped their foes out of the ring. Sherri and the Ninjas decide not to continue in the match and head down the entrance aisle. However, Molly, Wilde and Neidhart won’t allow them to leave. They run into the entrance aisle on the attack. Eventually, it is Molly and Sherri that end up returning to the ring, while Wilde and Neidhart inflict a fair amount of punishment on the Ninjas. Molly is on a roll, but she makes a critical mistake with a sunset flip attempt. Instead, Sherri folds her up in a cradle, but only gets a 2-count. Molly tries to regain the edge by gets her eyes gauged and then Sherri takes her down with a pair of quick clotheslines and a vertical suplex. From this point on, Sherri and the Ninjas are in control. They cut the ring down in size and prevent Molly from getting anywhere near her corner. After a few minutes, Molly is able to avoid a lariat attempt from Matthews and our favourite female superhero makes the hot tag to Wilde, who comes in and uses her speed to take every down. She uses arm drags, various kicks and hurricanranas. However, she’s eventually grabbed from behind by Matthews and given a bridging German suplex. She gets a 2-count, but Neidhart breaks up the pin. Perez and Sherri both attack her. Molly gets back into the match and comes to her aid. Matthews gets involved in that melee. The referee struggles to get all of the women who are the legal competitors out of the ring. In the chaos of the rapid fire maneuvers being executed by both teams, Perez gives Molly a superkick. Wilde and Neidhart start to get the better of both Canadian Ninjas, but Sherri manages to sneak away from the fighting to climb the turnbuckle and give Molly a splash and pin her for the win. Official Decision: Sensational Sherri Martel, Portia Perez & Nicole Matthews win by pinfall *Commercial Break 4* This portion of the show features hype videos for the following matches, which are set to take place at MAYHEM IN MONTRÉAL tomorrow night: “Superstar” Billy Graham w/ “Classy” Freddie Blassie vs. “Macho Man” Randy Savage w/ Miss Elizabeth And Mash-Up World Heavyweight Championship Match Hollywood Hulk Hogan w/ “Classy” Freddie Blassie vs. Christian Cage Don’t miss these matches! *Commercial Break 5* *new World order = The Illuminati*
Here comes the Illuminati, stopping our show in its tracks! The Mash-Up World Heavyweight Champion, Hollywood Hulk Hogan, is with “Classy” Freddie Blassie and Californiacation – “Superstar” Billy Graham, Christopher Daniels and Kazarian. Blassie puts over Californiacation as the most impressive group of wrestlers in this corner of the Mash-Up Universe. All hailing from California, a place that is far away from Atlantic Canada and Québec both geographically and culturally, he hails the recent arrival of his group as the single most important event in Atlantic Grand Prix Wrestling this year and just to be sure that he infuriates the fans in Montréal goes on to claim that Californiacation is the most impressive and most important wrestling faction in Atlantic Grand Prix Wrestling – a snub to the local heroes that comprise the Montréal Mafia, to be sure. Moving on, “Superstar” Billy Graham takes the time to say that he’s in the best condition of his life. He shows off his 22-inch arms, which he dubs as “pythons” and says that the “Macho Man” Randy Savage will be in a world of hurt, tomorrow night. Graham says that tomorrow night’s encounter is going to be an historic event where the entire world will bear witness to Savage being completely drained of his machismo. He promises that the madness stops, tomorrow night, right here in Montréal. And, to add a little extra heat to the fire, the ladies’ pet and the men’s regret says that Miss Elizabeth will be dying to move to California after she sees that the only “Macho” thing left standing in the ring after their match will be “Superstar” Billy Graham. Finally, the microphone gets turned over to the Mash-Up World Heavyweight Champion, Hollywood Hulk Hogan, who seeks to convince the fans that it is a sure fire bet that he will beat Christian Cage and retain his title tomorrow night. He tells us all that the national hero will be shown to be the national chump when he steps into the ring with him. He tells us all that he’s said it before and he proved it last week. He tells us that Christian talks a big game, but he has no game. He knows because he’s been in the ring with him and he’s beaten him. Hulkamania ran wild on Christian last week, it will run wild on him this weekend, and it will continue to run wild on him and everyone else who dares stand in its way. Hogan finishes by saying that Hulkamania is a force that can’t be stopped and it will cause Christian to become the first casualty in the war on AGPW. *Commercial Break 6* This portion of the show features hype videos for the following matches, which are set to take place at MAYHEM IN MONTRÉAL tomorrow night: North American Tag Team Championship Match Montréal Mafia w/ “Classy” Freddie Blassie vs. Junkyard Dog & Bo Dallas And International Heavyweight Championship Triple Threat Match Yvon “Le Lion” Robert w/ “Classy” Freddie Blassie vs. “The Iceman” Dean Malenko vs. Leo Burke Don’t miss these matches! See Atlantic Grand Prix Wrestling When It Comes to Your Town! Sunday, December 29 – Montréal, Québec (AGPW: Mayhem in Montréal – Live on PPV) Friday, January 3 – Timmins, Ontario Saturday, January 4 – Rouyn-Noranda, Québec Sunday, January 5 – Val-d’Or, Québec Thursday, January 9 – Magog, Québec Friday, January 10 – Sherbrooke, Québec (DSN TV taping) Saturday, January 11 – Drummondville, Québec Sunday, January 12 – Victoriaville, Québec *Commercial Break 7* VS. Riding Crop on a Pole Match “Killer” Karl Krupp vs. Samoa Joe Our main event features two nearly 300 pound heavy hitters going to war with a vicious weapon hanging high above one corner of the ring. The opening ten minutes sees plenty of punching, kicking, and chopping from both men. It’s an all out brawl inside and out of the ring. Of course, as it goes all around ringside, Joe gets whipped into the guardrail and his face gets slammed against the ringsteps. However, Krupp receives a Russian legsweep into the ringsteps and has his left shoulder repeatedly rammed into a ringpost. Krupp is the first man to go for the riding crop. He gets pulled off of the turnbuckle, down to the mat. The same thing happens to Joe when he goes for the riding crop. Then, Joe takes Krupp out of the corner with an electric chair. Next, Krupp takes Joe out of the corner with a running sit-out powerbomb! On Krupp’s next attempt to get at the riding crop, Joe climbs up to try to stop him, but Krupp knocks him down to the mat. Then, he goes for a diving knee drop, but Joe rolls out of the way. When they get up, Joe lays into him with chops. He goes for a whip, but Krupp reverses it and Joe hits the turnbuckle. Krupp runs in and tries for a jumping avalanche splash, but Joe moves out of the way. Joe turns him around and gives him several shots to the ribs. Then, he goes out to the ring apron and gives Krupp the CCS enzigurri kick. Joe goes to the far corner to go after the riding crop, however Krupp manages to get there in time to give Joe a crucifix bomb from the second turnbuckle. Krupp takes a while to get up and get to the corner, allowing Joe enough time to climb the turnbuckle and take him from the top turnbuckle down to the mat with a side belly-to-back suplex off of the top rope! When Joe finally gets up and climbs the turnbuckle to go for the riding crop, he’s met by a giant on the ring apron. “The Acadian Giant” Kurrgan gets his big hand wrapped around Joe’s throat. Joe punches away at it and digs his fingers into Kurrgan’s eyes long enough to get him to release the choke hold. Then, Joe shoves Kurrgan to the floor. However, instead of going for the riding crop, he waits for Kurrgan to get up and then takes him out with a diving senton bomb! This gives Krupp the opening he needs to climb the turnbuckle and get his hands on the riding crop. Krupp climbs back down the turnbuckle as Joe slides into the ring. He charges at Joe to hit him with the riding crop, but he sees him coming and gives him a Samoan drop! Joe gets up and grabs the riding crop, then strikes Kurrgan with it several times to knock him off of the ring apron. Krupp gets up and Joe whips him repeatedly before grabbing Krupp and giving him the Musclebuster! He pins for the 3-count and the victory! Joe stands tall and proves that he has what it takes to kill anyone in AGPW! Official Decision: Samoa Joe wins by pinfall ***

Atlantic Grand Prix Wrestling Presents MAYHEM IN MONTRÉAL Dimanche, le 29 Décembre, 2013 Du Centre Bell à Montréal, QuébecPart 1 of 2 “Wake Up” by Arcade Fire (of Montréal, Québec), from the album Funeral (2004)
Tonight’s Broadcast Features the Ringside Commentary Teams of Ed Whalen and Lord Alfred Hayes (English) Marc Blondin and Raymond Rougeau (Français) *** 6-Person Inter-gender Tag Team Match Lance Cade, Trevor Murdoch & ODB vs. Magnus, Antonio Cesaro & Maryse Ouellet Our show opener features two of the top tag teams in Atlantic Grand Prix Wrestling, plus ODB and Magnus and Antonio Cesaro’s managers, Maryse Ouellet. Maryse spends a lot of time trash talking ODB, who is anxious to get her hands on Maryse. However, Magnus and Cesaro block her path and so we get a standard tag match to start. Cade and Murdoch do a good job of keeping Magnus and Cesaro from getting any offense in the early moments of the match. Seeing that her stud European team isn’t accomplishing anything, Maryse demands to be tagged into the match. Cesaro doesn’t want to tag her in, but she demands he do it and he does. So, ODB enters the ring. Maryse keeps running her mouth and ODB tries to attack, but Maryse bails. ODB tries to exit the ring, but Cesaro pulls her by the hair to keep her from following. This draws in Murdoch. Cesaro drops Murdoch with a dropkick and Magnus climbs the turnbuckle and nails a flying elbow drop on him. Cade enters the ring and runs at Cesaro, but ends up receiving a Very European Uppercut. ODB attacks Magnus and whips him hard into the corner. She knocks him down with several kicks and backs away to set up to give him the Bronco Muncher. However, Maryse comes up from behind and gives her a fall forward Russian legsweep. Maryse pins, but ODB kicks out. Maryse sits down on top of her and bangs her head off of the mat a few times and then slaps her in the face. Maryse gets up and showboats. She goes to pick up ODB, but ends up receiving a fireman’s carry takedown, followed by elbow drop. ODB takes Maryse into the corner and gives her a dozen face smashes into the turnbuckle, then takes her down with a diving Lou Thesz press. ODB lifts Maryse up onto her shoulders to set up for her finisher, but Magnus comes in and pulls her away. Cade comes in and so does Cesaro, who meets him with some European uppercuts. ODB tags Murdoch, who comes in and takes Cesaro down with a spear. He covers, but Magnus breaks it up. Magnus picks up Murdoch, but then receives a superkick from Cade. Then, Murdoch grabs him and executes the Ace of Spades! Meanwhile, Cade trades blows with Cesaro and keeps him away from Murdoch while he’s pinning Magnus. The referee counts to three to give the win to Cade, Murdoch and ODB in the blow off match for this feud. Official Decision: Lance Cade, Trevor Murdoch & ODB win by pinfall *** SoCal Val is with “Marvelous” Marc Mero and his personal trainer, Candice Michelle, to their final thoughts going into Mero’s match against Rowdy Roddy Piper, tonight. Candice Michelle begins by saying that she’s just recently updated Mero’s training routine and he’s no in the best shape of his life. He’s never been more ready to compete in a match against an opponent as mentally unstable as Piper. Then, Mero says that Piper made a huge mistake by signing the match contract to face him. The bloody mess that he left Piper in a few weeks ago is but the tip of the iceberg for what Mero is capable of doing to Piper. We switch over to an interview set with Jeremy Borash, who says that he is waiting for the Blue Blazer. However, he is nowhere to be seen. Then, suddenly, he back flips onto the interview set. Borash greats him and asks him for his final thoughts going into his match against Lance Storm. The Blue Blazer says that now is finally his chance to show to the world that he is not only a great crime fighter, but also an outstanding wrestler. This is a new opportunity for him to seek justice in a world that struggles to keep its rules and regulations from being broken. Now, he can enter the ring and force Lance Storm to submit to rule of law. Finally, he guarantees that when Storm gives himself over to the law he will no longer be able to avoid paying back society for the crimes he’s committed ever since the day AGPW was reborn. *** VS. Extreme Rules Chris Candido vs. Chris Hero This match has been a long time in the making. Going all the way back to September, Hero double crossed Candido in a tag team match. Then, in October, he picked up a win over Candido via disqualification when the referee saw Candido with a chair in his hands – a chair that Hero introduced into the match. After infuriating Candido to no end, we now have this match. It’s an extreme rules match, where there are no disqualifications for any reason whatsoever. Hero wants to use a big match against Candido to make him famous, and this certainly seems like the kind of match that will do the trick. Candido comes swinging right out of the gate. His anger towards Hero fuels his aggression. He hits Hero hard early on, but Hero comes back and hits him equally as hard with his offense, which consists mostly of strikes. Fighting around ringside and near the entrance set also takes place, with chairs, the guardrail, ringsteps, and the exposed floor all coming into play. With both men getting busted open during their fight outside of the ring, it is Hero who gets the worst of it with a delayed vertical suplex to the exposed floor. After that, Candido takes Hero back to the ring to try to finish him off. He brings a table into the ring and lays Hero down on it. He climbs the turnbuckle and goes for the New Jersey Jam, but Hero rolls off of the table and Candido goes through it ass-first. When they get up, Hero nails a Hangman’s Clutch Facebuster on Candido and pins him. Miraculously, Candido gets a shoulder up. Hero goes outside and brings another table into the ring. He sets it up, then goes to pick up Candido, who gives him a low blow and then a double-arm DDT. Candido picks up Hero and sits him on the top turnbuckle. He tries to climb up, but Hero boots him away. He gets up and decides to leap off of the turnbuckle, but receives a dropkick in mid-air! Candido puts him back on top of the turnbuckle and climbs up. He looks like he’s going for a superplex, but Hero blocks the attempt, punches his ribs, and then gives him a few elbows to the side of the head. Hero gets up and tries to give Candido a sunset flip powerbomb, but Candido holds onto the top rope for dear life and then knees Hero in the face. Candido turns around on the turnbuckle and tries to pull Hero up to his level, but Hero strikes him several times. Then, he climbs up, but Candido hits him with a hard fist to the jaw and his eyes glass over. Then, he lifts Hero up and sends him crashing through the table with a Blonde Bombshell powerbomb! Candido covers. 1…2…3! Chris Candido emerges as the victor from this bloody war. Official Decision: Chris Candido wins by pinfall *** SoCal Val is with Rowdy Roddy Piper to get a word with him about his match later this evening against “Marvelous” Marc Mero. Piper is all riled up and flings insults Mero’s way, like only he can. In between all of the insults directed towards him, he says that he heard Mero’s interview from earlier and thinks that he’s lost his mind if he thinks that he’ll be able to do to him what he did to him a few weeks ago. He points at his forehead and says that the scar hasn’t fully healed yet, and that serves as a reminder to the “Hot Rod” that his goal, tonight, is to make Mero’s blood spill all over the canvas. Jeremy Borash takes a moment to talk to Lance Storm right before he heads to the ring for his match against the Blue Blazer. Asked how he feels about finally getting to enter the ring with The Blue Blazer, Storm says that he cannot contain his excitement, despite looking as serious as ever. He says that he’s going to pay this masked vigilant back for all of the hard times he’s caused him recently and that once he’s done with him, The Blue Blazer will not be in a position to harm anyone ever again. *** VS. Lance Storm vs. The Blue Blazer Switching gears for this one, we go from extreme rules to a chain wrestling clinic, here. Technical wizardry took center stage and was on full display. Lance Storm comes from a hot bed of master ring technicians in Calgary, Alberta. The Blue Blazer, although we don’t know where he comes from, has no trouble matching Storm’s technical abilities move for move. It’s a solid 10-minutes of tactical, technical chain wrestling before they begin to pick up the pace. Both men are strong athletes and are able to adapt to the quickening pace with relative ease. Neither man starts to fall into a hole from which he cannot climb out. Both men start to try to outdo one another with their suplexes. Counters and reversal allow each other the opportunity to match one another move for move. When Storm executes a bridging German suplex, The Blue Blazer kicks out, then moments later after a reversal, executes his own bridging German suplex, which Storm kicks out of. When the Blue Blazer executes three gutwrench suplexes and then tries for a pinfall, Storm kicks out and later does the same thing to the Blue Blazer. The competitiveness of each man, which is plays itself out in mimicking each other’s wrestling moves is no doubt psychologically driven – referencing the Blue Blazer’s accusation that Lance Storm is a thief. After plenty of copycat behaviour, the Blue Blazer decides to go for his moonsault finisher, but he lands on Storm’s knees. Storm kips up and then locks on the sharpshooter! The Blue Blazer refuses to tap. For a moment, he looks as though he might, but then he stops himself and powers his way to the ropes. After getting a clean rope break, the Blue Blazer bails out of the ring. The referee prevents Storm from going outside and then starts counting out the Blue Blazer. With the referee leaving him alone, Storm tries to attack. He goes for a baseball slide, but the Blue Blazer steps out of the way, then executes a stiff belly-to-belly suplex onto the floor! The Blue Blazer enters the ring and waits for a countout, but Storm manages to crawl up to the ring apron at the count of eight. The Blue Blazer goes to grab him, but takes a shoulder to the mid-section. Then, Storm slingshots over the ropes and tries to take the Blue Blazer down with a sunset flip. However, he rolls through and slaps the sharpshooter onto Storm, while screaming “this is my move!” Storm is close to the ropes and he gets a rope break after about ten seconds. The Blue Blazer backs Storm into the corner with a series of chops. He gives him a cross-corner whip, then charges in behind him. However, Storm comes out of the corner with a spinning heel kick. Both men are down and they each just manage to beat out the referee’s count. They meet in the middle of the ring for a fist fight. A series of blocked moves in the middle of the ring makes us wonder who will score with a final knockout blow and it ends with Storm going for a superkick that misses the mark and takes out the referee! The Blue Blazer leaves the ring and returns with a chair, while Storm checks on the referee. He loads up for a chair shot, but Storm kicks him and takes the chair away from him, but can’t do anything with it as the Blue Blazer tackles him back into the corner turnbuckles. A cross-corner whip is reversed. Storm charges in and hits a handspring clothesline to his cornered opponent. He pins, but the referee is still out. He tries to revive the referee. As he is doing this, the Blue Blazer rolls out of the ring. Storm sees him trying to get away and follows the Blue Blazer into the crowd. Security guards try to keep fans away. As they get near the end of the arena floor, the Blue Blazer starts to head up the arena stairs. Seconds later, Storm gets the bottom of the stairs, but an on-duty event RCMP officer blocks his path. Storm gets into an argument with the officer, which ends with the officer finally letting him pass, only to turn around and stun him with a police cattle prod! The RCMP officer grabs Storm, walks him back towards the ring and tosses him over the guardrail. The Blue Blazer hops the rail and brings Storm into the ring. After whipping him to the ropes and executes a crisp belly-to-belly suplex, he goes to the top rope and lands his finishing moonsault. The now revived referee counts to three, awarding to the match to the Blue Blazer. Official Decision: The Blue Blazer wins by pinfall Following the match, the RCMP officer enters the ring. The Blue Blazer asks for a microphone and once he gets it, he tells Storm that he warned him months ago to stop committing crimes or else he’d be made to suffer the consequences. He hereby declares that Storm has been charged with theft and says that, now, justice will truly be served! While this is happening, the RCMP officer cuffs Storm. Then, together he and the Blue Blazer leave the ring with their apprehended criminal. When Storm tries to break free, he gets stuns again, and then he’s easily lead away by the policeman and the crime fighting caped crusader. *** Jeremy Borash bangs on Dean Malenko’s dressing room door. The Iceman opens the door and Borash asks him if he can get a few words regarding his match tonight. Malenko tells Borash that he has nothing to say other than that he will finally get his title – the International Heavyweight Championship – back, tonight. Then he slams the door shut in Borash’s face. SoCal Val is standing by with Christopher Daniels and François Kazarian, the team of Bad Influence, and asks them if they will be watching the North American Tag Team Title match, which is coming up next. Daniels and Kazarian confirm that they don’t plan on watching the match. They say that their time is far too valuable to waste on watching a match between two tag teams that are as painfully boring as the Montréal Mafia and the team of Junkyard Dog & Bo Dallas. They do want to know who wins the match so that they’ll know who they be taking the titles from as soon as they secure a title shot, so they are paying other people to watch the match and scout the competition for them. Besides, they say that all of the entertainment news shows back in Hollywood are buzzing about Bad Influence and Californiacation moving to Canada to inject a little bit of life into the professional wrestling north of the border. Now, they have a pile of interviews to do. However, before they go, they want to give the people across the country who ordered the show a chance to worship them! *** North American Tag Team Championship Match Montréal Mafia w/ “Classy” Freddie Blassie vs. Junkyard Dog & Bo Dallas These teams are hardly strangers. They are well familiar with one another. Dino Bravo and Mad Dog Vachon hope that this will be the last time they face Junkyard Dog & Bo Dallas. Each teams holds wins over the other. Neither team is at a clear advantage, unless you give to the Mafia for having Frenchy Martin at ringside and Yoshihiro Tajiri backstage. Bravo and Vachon are looking very strong, with their most recent title defence being a victory over Dean Malenko and Leo Burke in a Lethal Lockdown match. Junkyard Dog and Bo Dallas come into this match after a strong showing in a 12-team battle royal, which saw Bo Dallas emerge victorious. There’s nothing pretty about this match. There are several old school power and brawler types in this match. High impact power moves and punching and kicking is what rules the day here. Dallas is a bit of a different creature and he suffers at the hands of Bravo and Vachon playing the wrestler in peril, which the fans applaud. There appears to be little sympathy for Dallas and the fans are backing the hometown heels. JYD gets mixed reactions when he enters the ring. While the fans are in favour of the Montréal Mafia, JYD’s popularly transcends his opponents and his partner’s lack thereof. When Dallas makes the not-so-hot tag to JYD, he comes in and takes the fight to both of his opponents. He is a house of fire and determined to finally end Bravo and Vachon’s long reign atop the tag team division. He serves up a pile of headbutts for everyone, three point tackles, clotheslines and powerslams! When Frenchy Martin tries to run a distraction, he even gets a hard headbutt from the JYD. His unstoppable moment leads him to executing the Thump slam on Bravo. A pinfall attempt is broken up by Vachon at the last possible moment. Dallas comes into the ring to attack Vachon, but he gets a back body drop for his troubles. Vachon beats on JYD’s chest with some chops, but JYD eventually halts the barrage and fires back with his fists. JYD goes for a whip, but Vachon reverses it and sends JYD into a Bo Dallas dropkick. He gets up and sees that he dropkicked his partner. Dallas gets down by his side to check on him, clearly bothered by the mistake. As he gets back to his feet, Bravo grabs him from behind and gives him a delayed belly-to-back suplex. Then, he kicks Dallas away and out of the ring. JYD starts to get up, but Vachon gives him a piledriver to put him down for good. Bravo, the legal man, goes over and makes the pin. 1…2…3! The Montréal Mafia win again and retain their titles. Official Decision: Montréal Mafia wins by pinfall *** Our camera crew shot video of the Blue Blazer, the RCMP officer, and Lance Storm exiting the arena during the last match. The officer throws Lance Storm into the backseat of a RCMP squad car. He shakes hands with the Blue Blazer and thanks him for helping the police to keep the streets safe and clean. Then, he gets in the car and leaves the arena, with his sirens on, of course. After watching the squad car drive off, the Blue Blazer runs off into the shadows. *** “Marvelous” Marc Mero w/ Candice Michelle vs. Rowdy Roddy Piper This match was signed after “Marvelous” Marc Mero made a deal with the Blue Blazer to protect him from outside interference in a title match for the International Heavyweight Championship. In exchange for his services, the following week, Mero confronted the Blue Blazer’s enemies, dressed as the Blue Blazer himself, and made a vicious attack on Rowdy Roddy Piper. However, as part of the set up for the attack, he’d signed his name to a contract for a wrestling match. The contract was left behind after Mero, the Blue Blazer and his cronies fled the scene, and recovered by Piper, who signed his name on it so as to get an opportunity at revenge against Mero. The opening minutes of this match see Piper very eager to get his hands on Mero. He does a few times, but he can’t get any sustained offense, as Mero heads for the ropes, leaves the ring, and Candice Michelle causes several distractions. It’s all a part of Mero’s strategy. He stalls as much as possible and waits for a chance to attack when Piper is least suspecting. As this goes on, the trap finally succeeds when Piper gets his hands on Candice Michelle, who had jumped onto the ring apron. He’s got her by the hair. Mero comes up from behind and slugs away at him. However, it nearly backfires as Piper reverses a whip attempt. However, he goes for a back body drop and Mero counters with a senset flip for a 1-count. When they get up, Piper goes for a hard lariat, but Mero ducks it, then takes Piper down with hurricanrana. He clutches one of Piper’s legs for a pin, but Piper kicks out. When Piper gets up, Mero gives him an atomic drop and then a short-arm clothesline, and from there, Mero is in control. He works slowly, stopping often to gloat and showboat. His ego hurts him because he takes too much time between moves and makes lazy pin attempts, which combine to keep Piper in the match. He kicks out and gets his shoulder up on each pin attempt. As the pinfall attempts start to pile up, Mero’s gloating gives way to frustration and he begins to argue with the referee. After one lazy pinfall attempt, then a hooked leg with a kick out and then both legs hooked and a kick out, all in quick succession, Mero loses it and gets into a shouting match with the referee. When he turns his attention back to Piper, he pulls him into a small package and nearly wins the match. Mero’s anger boils over and he stomps away at Piper and then gives him a suplex to set up for the Marvelocity. He climbs the turnbuckle and goes for it, but Piper moves out of the way. Both men barely beat out the referees count. When they get up, Mero and Piper exchange blows and Piper starts to land a few in a row. He starts to build momentum. After rattling off a series of moves in a row, Piper is right back into this thing. He tries for his first pinfall attempt after a pair of vertical suplexes. Mero kicks out. Piper gets up and waits for Mero to get up. Candice Michelle gets his attention and tells him to bail from the ring. He goes to the outside and Piper leaves the ring, around the corner. Mero is trying to regroup with his personal trainer, but Piper blindsides him and they both go tumbling down. Piper picks him up and slams him into the guardrail and then takes him into the ring. He gets another nearfall. Piper continues the attack. Out of desperation, Mero manages to reverse a whip. He leaps up for a hurricanrana, but Piper counters by dropping him with a powerbomb. He keeps him rolled up for the pin. Candice Michelle reaches out and helps Mero grab the bottom rope to avoid losing. Piper gets up and leans over the ropes, getting into a verbal sparring contest with Candice Michelle. Mero pulls him down in a roll up and grabs his tights. 1…2… Piper just kicks out! Mero lifts Piper up onto his shoulders, but when he tries to go for the TKO, Piper falls out of the swing, lands on his feet and slaps on the sleeperhold! Mero slowly fades and his hand drops three times to give Piper the win! Official Decision: Rowdy Roddy Piper wins by putting his opponent to sleep *** Featured in Part Two

Atlantic Grand Prix Wrestling Presents MAYHEM IN MONTRÉAL Dimanche, le 29 Décembre, 2013 Du Centre Bell à Montréal, QuébecPart 2 of 2 “The Darkest One” by The Tragically Hip (of Kingston, Ontario), from the album In Violet Light (2002)
Tonight’s Broadcast Features the Ringside Commentary Teams of Ed Whalen and Lord Alfred Hayes (English) Marc Blondin and Raymond Rougeau (Français) *** *Mean Gene = Jeremy Borash**Honky Tonk Man = “Superstar” Billy Graham**Heenan Family = The Illuminati* *Marty O’Neill = SoCal Val**Ivan Putski = “Macho Man” Randy Savage* *** “Superstar” Billy Graham w/ “Classy” Freddie Blassie vs. “Macho Man” Randy Savage w/ Miss Elizabeth Finally, we have the one-on-one showdown between the “Superstar” and the “Macho Man.” The backstory to this one saw “Macho Man” Randy Savage have his shot at the Mash-Up World Heavyweight Championship ruined by “Superstar” Billy Graham, who interfered on behalf of champion Hollywood Hulk Hogan. It was later revealed that Graham was a member of the Illuminati and he was sent here, along with cohort of other Californians to turn AGPW on its head and spread the Illuminati’s influence to this wrestling promotion. Savage was briefly taken out by Graham and his peers in the Illuminati, but returned to cost Graham an important match against Christian Cage. Now, the man with the power faces macho madness! This match begins with a tense staredown that leads to Graham attempt a sucker punch. Savage is too quick and he blocks it and fires back. Savage connects with several fists in a row, backing Graham into the ropes. A whip attempt is reversed. Graham goes for the bearhug right away, but Savage breaks it pretty quickly with a double ear slap. He continues to rock him with several right hands and then executes a vertical suplex. After an early pinfall attempt that fails, Savage keeps up with the intensity. He’s large and in charge here and Graham is doing everything he can to try to get away from the clutches of madness, but not succeeding. He even exits the ring, but Savage is right on top of him, taking him down with a plancha. Savage slams Graham face off of the ringsteps and then whips him into the guardrail. He looks over his shoulder just in time to see “Classy” Freddie Blassie sneaking up on him with his cane locked and loaded like a baseball bat. Savage chases Blassie all of the way around the ring and runs into a vicious clothesline. Graham rolls in and out of the ring to break the count. He continues the assault by whipping Savage shoulder-first into the ringsteps. He picks him up and gives him a vertical suplex. Then, he rolls the Macho Man back into the ring. He pins Savage, but he kicks out. Graham questions the count and then slows things down with kicks and strikes aimed at Savage’s upper body, as well as some holds to weaken his chest and neck areas. Eventually, frustration begins to build in Graham as his pin attempts fail to pick up the win and Savage breaks free from his submission holds. Graham has had enough and signals that he’s ready to finish the match. He picks up Savage and uses his massive 22-inch arms to slap on the bearhug. Savage stays in the hold for a long time, while refusing to give up. Once Savage looks lifeless, the referee raises his hand and drops it twice before the third attempt proves that there is still some life left in the Macho Man. He breaks the bearhug with about half a dozen elbows to the eyebrow. Savage runs to the ropes, but Graham drops him with a big boot. Graham runs to the ropes and goes for the Hogan leg drop, but Savage moves. They get up at the same time and trade blows. Savage starts to block some shots and lands several in a row. He whips Graham into the corner and charges in with a clothesline, then takes him out of the corner with a suplex. Savage climbs the turnbuckle. Graham gets up and Savage nails him with a flying double axehandle smash. Then, he gives him another one and another one. Graham gets up one more time. He looks dazed and confused. Savage picks him up and gives him an atomic drop and then a clothesline out to the floor. Savage comes to the outside and goes to pick up Graham, who buries a knee into his abdomen. Graham chops him, then tries to whip into the turnbuckle post, but Savage reverses it. Savage picks up and gives him a bodyslam on the floor. Then, he clears the French announcer team table of its monitors and places Graham on it. He gives him a couple more shots for good measure and climbs the turnbuckle. Graham looks up and all he sees is this coming at him: The fans go crazy as Savage has performed the flying elbow drop to Graham, putting him through the French announce team’s table! Savage rolls Graham into the ring and drops him into position, then climbs the turnbuckle. He’s going for one more. However, Frank Kazarian has the referee’s attention and Christopher Daniels shoves Savage off of the turnbuckle into the guardrail! Blassie comes over and swings his cane at him over and over again while the referee is busy ejected Kazarian from ringside. To put the final nail in the coffin for Savage, as Elizabeth looks on in horror, Daniels gives him his Angel’s Wings on the floor! Daniels rolls Savage into the ring and then exits unseen by the referee, who turns around just in time to see Graham crawl over and hook Savage’s leg. 1…2…3! “Superstar” Billy Graham and Californiacation steal this one away from the “Macho Man” Randy Savage! To add insult to injury, Blassie enters the ring and gives Graham the spray paint to colour up Savage yet again, while a helpless Miss Elizabeth pleads for them to stop. Official Decision: “Superstar” Billy Graham wins by pinfall *** We go backstage to SoCal Val, who is with Leo Burke to get his final thoughts before going into his match later tonight. On the topic of being double crossed by Dean Malenko last week, Burke says that it is very disappointing that Malenko turned his back on him in the 8-man tag tea match, last week, but that it ultimately doesn’t matter because their partnership achieved its goal of getting them a chance to take the International Heavyweight Championship away from Yvon “Le Lion” Robert and, now, it’s every man for himself. He has no friends in that ring. He knows that no one will take it easy on him and he will not take it easy on anyone else. He understands that he’s in the heart of Mafia territory and that the deck is stacked against him, but he says that he will not back down from the potential threat of the entire Montréal Mafia doing everything it can to keep the title on its kingpin. He will be the face of defiance on his quest to gaining the title, tonight! *** VS. Gail Kim vs. Fabulous Moolah Gail Kim and Fabulous Moolah have been at odds with each other since Gail Kim’s arrived in AGPW on November 16. Her surprise debut was promoted as the arrival of one of the biggest names in female professional wrestling, which upset Fabulous Moolah. She believes that there are no stars that shine brighter than hers and that no stars may shine brighter than hers. Moolah targeted Gail and tried to scare her off, but she won’t be bullied. Gail is intent on giving Moolah a heavy dose of reality by defeating her in a match and proving to her that there isn’t one female wrestler who shall forever be unbeaten by some kind of divine right. Unfortunately for the fans nothing gets resolved on this night. They lock up and spend about a minute feeling each other out with some wristlocks, armbars, and the like. However, Moolah gets Kim into a headlock, she backs into the ropes to break it. Kim tries to take Moolah down with a hip toss, but Moolah counters with one of her own. She picks up Gail and sends her into the ropes. She attempts a back body drop, but Gail lands on her feet, then goes running to the ropes. Moolah turns around and gets taken off her feet with tilt-a-whirl headscissors. Moolah slides out of the ring, surprised and frustrated that she isn’t dominating the match right away. As Moolah and Gail shout at each other, Moolah turns around and hightails it down the entrance aisle. Why would she suddenly tuck tail and leave so quickly? Awesome Kong has come through the crowd to rip Gail apart limb from limb! But why? Trish Stratus is the reason why! After beating the crap out of Gail, Awesome Kong places her in a camel clutch from which she cannot escape and Trish Stratus enters the ring and slaps Gail in the face a few times. She gets a microphone and cuts a promo explaining that the reason she brought Awesome Kong here – the upcoming challenger to BCCW Women’s Champion, Mildred Burke, who Trish is using to try to remove the title from the unbeatable champion – was to let Gail Kim and the rest of the women in AGPW know that there is no one in this company good enough to be on the “Top Shelf.” Trish says that she is the only Canadian wrestler in the world who belongs on the “Top Shelf” and that there are no other wrestlers who deserve to knock off the old guard, whether it be Mildred Burke in BCCW or Fabulous Moolah in AGPW. She gets the first shot and if anyone else tries to steal away what should become her accolades, they can expect to experience the awesome power of Awesome Kong! Official Decision: No Contest *** Jeremy Borash is standing by with the International Heavyweight Champion, Yvon “Le Lion” Robert, and his PR man, Frenchy Martin. Borash asks them for a final word before Le Lion defends his title. Martin starts off by making mention of the Montréal Mafia’s successful beginning to the evening with Dino Bravo & Mad Dog Vachon’s successful title defense earlier in the night. Martin says that because they run this town, smart money is on Yvon “Le Lion” Robert to retain his title because this is Montréal Mafia territory and the Mafia will not lose on its home ground. Robert speaks up and then Martin translates to English. He says that tonight is the end of the line for Dean Malenko and Leo Burke. This will be the last time either of them sniff around his title in a long, long time. Neither man has what it takes to take the title from him, which he will prove, tonight. The King of the jungle shall keep his place at the top of the animal kingdom! *** International Heavyweight Championship Triple Threat Match Yvon “Le Lion” Robert w/ Frenchy Martin vs. “The Iceman” Dean Malenko vs. Leo Burke This match has been in the works since the last PRIMETIME LIVE, where Dean Malenko was the defending International Heavyweight Champion and lost the title to Yvon Robert when he replaced Mad Dog Vachon and Dino Bravo in a match that was restarted after the match went to a 30-minute time limit without a single wrestler being eliminated by pinfall or submission. Leo Burke was also in that match. Malenko and Burke made a pact to help each other get another shot at the title. Prior to last week, one might have thought that this match would be contested as if it were 2-on-1. However, Malenko and Burke’s partnership fell apart last week and it definitely feels like everyone is in it for himself. This match is being contested by three of the very finest ring technicians in Atlantic Grand Prix Wrestling. The smart money would be on seeing each of our competitors try to win the match by submission as forcing their opponents to submit is their strong suits. Moreover, each of them has a submission maneuver as their usual finishing maneuver. However, long displays of technical chain wrestling are missing from this bout what with there being three competitors rather than two. We get short glimpses of technical prowess, but the chain of maneuvers comes to an end with one wrestler being placed in a submission hold, the third man breaks it up to prevent the match from ending. The match has a pretty rapid pace and follows a typical triple threat formula. Each wrestler gets an opportunity to dominate on offense, focusing his attacks on one opponent inside of the ring, while the third man recovers on the outside from his turn getting the crap kicked out of him. Then, things build into a bit more of frenzied pace in the later stages of the match, when each pinfall attempt looks like it can end the match as long as the third party doesn’t break it up. We entering the dying minutes of the match with a battle on the top rope between Dean Malenko and Leo Burke (something we’ve seen before from these two). There is an intense struggle that takes place, but it finally ends with Burke giving Malenko a superplex. He goes for the pin, but Robert breaks it up and applies his headtrap armscissors to Burke. Just as Burke looks like he may be about to tap, Malenko kicks Robert in the face to break it up. Robert tries to get up, but Malenko gives him a gutwrench powerbomb. He grabs Robert to the feet to go for the Cloverleaf, but Burke grabs him from behind and executes a bridging German suplex. Malenko just gets his shoulder up before the hand falls for three. Burke grabs Malenko puts him in a backslide pin, which he always escapes from. However, Malenko then gets rocked with a vicious clothesline. Burke can’t cover up, however, as Robert boots him in the abdomen and then lays into him with some chops. He sends Burke into the corner, then goes over and places Burke on the top rope. Robert begins to climb the turnbuckle, but gets into a fist fight with Robert. Malenko gets up, gets under Robert and pulls him out of the corner, then Burke flights off and they perform a Road Warriors’ Doomsday Device! Malenko goes to cover Robert, but Burke pulls him away and tries for the pin himself. Malenko drags him away and goes for the pin. Burke pulls him away and now they throws fists, chops and kicks at each other until finally, Malenko knocks Burke down with an enzigurri kick. Robert attacks him and goes for the Irish whip, but Malenko reverses it and takes him down with a leg lariat. Before Robert can get up, Malenko applies the Texas Cloverleaf. Then, Leo Burke gets up and slaps the sleeperhold on him. Robert won’t quit and Malenko’s only hope is to release him, which he does. Malenko starts to fade, but Robert breaks it with some forearm shots to Burke’s kidneys. Robert gets him in a rear waistlock. Burke tries to give him some rear elbows, but Robert ducks his head. He starts to lift and, at the last moment, Burke grabs Malenko by the waist and we end up seeing a three person bridging German suplex to end the match! There is some momentary confusion about the result, but in the end, it is announced that Yvon “Le Lion” Robert has retained the International Heavyweight Championship, much to the pleasure of his hometown fans, as he was the only man whose shoulders were not glued to the mat. Official Decision: Yvon “Le Lion” Robert wins by pinfall *** *Jeff Jarrett = Hollywood Hulk Hogan* *Ted DiBiase = “Classy” Freddie Blassie**nWo = The Illuminati**The Giant = Christian Cage Mash-Up World Heavyweight Championship Match Hollywood Hulk Hogan w/ “Classy” Freddie Blassie vs. Christian Cage We’ve reached our main event. The Mash-Up World Heavyweight Champion and crown jewel of the Illuminati, Hollywood Hulk Hogan, is set to defend his title against the challenger, Christian Cage. Hogan has claimed not to know who Cage is and plays him off as no threat to his title reign, despite that he defeated Hogan’s AGPW ring general, the great “Superstar” Billy Graham, to earn this title shot. Cage is a man who is out to prove his worth. He is wrestler who has long been underrated, overlooked and held back by his past employers. He’s returned home to Canada, only one month ago, to prove to the world that “Captain Charisma” is an “Instant Classic” inside of the squared-circle. He can put his name up with the truly elite figures of this sport by winning the Mash-Up World Heavyweight Championship, tonight. This match begins with a lot of smack talk and posturing from Hollywood Hulk Hogan. He’s trying to either intimidate or get under Christian Cage’s skin. For his part, Cage is smart enough to wait it all out and not let it get to him. When Hogan is finished, Cage slaps his own chest and raises his hand to get the huge ovation from the fans. Hogan isn’t pleased. When they finally lock up, Hogan tosses Christian to the mat and then hulks up. Christian comes back and Hogan overpowers him by backing him into the corner. The referee has to step in between them to get a break. It isn’t clean, as Hogan thumbs Christiane in the eye. Then, he starts chopping him. Hogan whips Christian across the ring. He follows in, but gets a boot to the face and then a clothesline that knocks him down. Christian goes to pick up Hogan, but Hogan gets a big uppercut. Hogan gets to his feet and connects with a series of right hands. He whips Christian, then runs to the ropes and goes for a running clothesline. Christian ducks it. After they both bounce off of the ropes again, Christian connects with a cross-body block and holds it for the pin, but Hogan kicks out at one. Christian stomps away at him. Hogan crawls to the ropes while he’s being stomped on. He gets up, while still getting kicked. Christian goes for a whip, but Hogan reverses it and sets up for a back body drop. Christian counters with a sunset flip for a 2-count. When they both get up, Christian connects with a standing dropkick to Hogan’s chest. As he hits the mat, “Classy” Freddie Blassie reaches into the ring to grab Hogan by the arm and pulls him out to the floor to regroup. Hogan is surprised by Christian’s strong start. Christian waits in the ring while the fans chant his name. Upon returning to the ring, Hogan and Christian lock up. Again, Hogan overpowers Christian. Once he gets Christian backed into the corner, he again thumbs him in the eye on the break. He chops and punches at him, then gives him a back rake as he tries to exit the corner. Hogan follows Christian to the next corner, then climbs up and punches at him to nine and finishes the count of ten by biting his forehead. Now, Hogan is in control. He takes him time, with his slow deliberate offense. He mixes an attack consisting mostly of power moves with the occasional rest hold. Hogan tries pinning Christian a couple of times, but he can’t get a 3-count. He decides to go for a figure four leglock. Christian won’t quit and Hogan gets a pair of nearfalls while keeping the move in. Hogan gets some extra help from Blassie, who leans in and pulls on Hogan’s arms for added leverage. The referee misses this twice, but the third time he sees it and kicks at their arms to break it up. Then, Christian finally flips the hold around. Hogan cries out in pain, but drags himself over to the bottom rope for the rope break. Hogan is still the first man up, but when he goes to grab Christian, he is surprised by a small package. Hogan kicks out in time. They both get up and Hogan tries to clothesline Christian. He ducks it. When Hogan turns around, Christian catches him with a spinning heel kick. Now, both men are up at the same time. Christian gives him some chops. He goes for an Irish whip, but Hogan reverses it, sending Christian towards the corner. He leaps onto the second rope, then performs a springboard sunset flip for a close 2-count. When they get up, Christian grabs Hogan and gives him an inverted facelock backbreaker! He pins, but Hogan gets a shoulder up! Christian is building steady moment here. He sends Hogan into the corner, then runs in and takes him out of the corner with a monkey flip. He goes out to the ring apron and starts climbing the turnbuckle. Blassie climbs up on the apron, causing a distraction and making Christian stop before getting to the top. The referee argues with him about getting down. Blassie finally gets down and Christian gets to the top rope and goes for a frog splash, but Hogan moves out of the way. The referee stops his countout at eight, when both men reach their feet. Hogan grabs Christian and goes for a vertical suplex, but he lands on his feet, then pushes Hogan to the ropes to try for a school-boy roll-up, but Hogan clings to the ropes. Hogan tries for a clothesline, but misses. Christian kicks him and tries to go for the Unprettier, but Hogan shoves him towards the corner to block the move. But, as fate would have it, the referee was there and he gets sandwiched between Christian and the turnbuckle! Hogan takes Christian out of the corner with a vertical suplex. When he gets up, he sees that the referee is down. With the referee down, he calls on Blassie to get him a steel chair. Blassie brings him a chair. Hogan waits for Christian to get up, then swings. Christian ducks and rolls. Hogan turns around and Christian takes him down with a spear! He pins, but there is no referee. The crowd counts 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6! Christian goes to revive the referee. As he tries to get the referee up, Blassie comes up from behind and begins to choke him out with his cane! Christian is in a bad way, but breaks it up with a rear mule kick. Then, he gives Blassie the Unprettier! The fans pop like crazy. However, when Christian gets up after taking out Blassie, he gets a chair shot to the skull! Hogan throws the chair away. He drags Christian away from the corner and pins. He shouts at the referee to come over. He drags himself into position. 1…2… shoulder up! Hogan can’t believe it! He picks up Christian and sends him into the ropes. Hogan goes for the big boot, but Christian ducks it and stops. Hogan turns around and takes a kick to the abdomen. Unprettier! 1…2… the referee gets pulled out of the ring by Kazarian! He slides into the ring, but gets a dropkick! Christopher Daniels enters on the other side and misses a running clothesline. Chistian runs to the ropes and takes him down with a spear! Kazarian gives him Fade to Black! He collects Daniels and leaves the ring. Another referee rushes down to the ring as Hogan picks up Christian. He sends him into the ropes and hits the big boot and the leg drop! Hogan pins. 1…2…3! Hollywood Hulk Hogan retains the Mash-Up World Heavyweight Championship! Christian Cage put up a valliant effort but the odds proved to be insurmountable on this night. Hogan celebrates with Blassie, Kazarian and Daniels as our broadcast comes to an end. Official Decision: Hollywood Hulk Hogan wins by pinfall *** Thank you for joining us for MAYHEM IN MONTRÉAL! Perfectly Straightedge and Fifth Horseman,
Thank you both for the positive feedback. It was my intention to post the entire thing at the same time, but once I was just a bit over half way done, and given how large it was becoming because of all of the extra work I was putting into this show (what with it being a PPV), I decided to post what I had finished and break the show into two parts. I also decided to do it that way because I was way behind the event's air date in getting it published. I figured it would be easy to get everything posted on time now that I didn't have a job to go to, but as it turned out being at home with my parents for the holidays gave me less time to write and concentrate on the show than if I was still up to my usual routine.
I hope you also enjoy part two of the PPV, which picks up right where part one left off. Just to be clear, parts one and two are not held on two different nights. It was only how I chose to post the event for reasons I've already explained. Part two is the immediate continuation of part one.

I really enjoy your match write ups. Where I used to write. I would write 20 pages in word just for weekly matches. So seeing these long wrote up matches are something I have always been a fan of. I really enjoyed the macho man match, and I love that you gave Christian the title shot. I have always been a fan of his.

Great action, but I would have preferred the second half to be more - I don't know - one-on-one? Two run-ins plus a no-contest; I might have spread those matches out a bit more throughout the card.

Yeah. I kind of picked up on the same thing with last week's TV. On the one hand, it's great that you're taking the Kevin Sullivan treatment with regards to your booking - piling a TRUCKLOAD of heat onto your heel factions. Gives the sense of suspense & urgency that your babyface troops are eventually going to rally and RISE to fight for their own cause. And, with the likes of Joe, Cage, and Savage floating near the top, that's good to know.
Other hand? Yeah. Don't get carried away with the run-ins, interference, and cop-out finishes. If you educate your audience to EXPECT nonsense and shenanigans, then when the well runs dry, you'll have a backlash of sorts on your hands - because they'll be resistant to the change of straightforward booking in your main events. And that's the norm. You can only hotshot and book "chaos" for so long. Has to be the exception. Never the rule for very long. It's unsustainable.
/Rant over. =D
Round of applause though, bro. The effort was definitely there. The detailed write-ups and graphics were awesome. BIG THUMBS UP to that gif of Savage, for sure. Marked a bit for that.
Cool to see the freaking MOUNTED POLICE FORCE pop up for an appearance as well. Didn't see that coming, but yeah. Well played, man.
Still cracking up at the chicanery and tomfoolery of Bad Influence. Thoroughly entertained by those gents.
Digging the rejuvenation of Blassie among this Californication stable as well. Glad to see the guy getting frequent mic time.
Also loving the use of Top Shelf Trish across the board. Don't know who made the call, but setting up Kong as the strong-arm enforcer and brick-wall for Stratus is a great idea.

It is with a tear in my eye and tip of my hat, I salute you my friend. This was an incredible, amazing, (insert superlative) piece of work that I couldn't possibly gush about more. It's literally the culmination of an entire years worth of hard labor. From the very humble (and risky) beginning of AGPW, to the rise of the Fantasy Wrestling Illuminati, this show captures it all. I know you did it more out for scheduling purposes, but I loved how you broke the show down into segments and left time in between posts to digest them. It felt like a fucking Star Wars trilogy or something. I agree with much of what the others said, with an extended focus on the ending of the Gail Kim/ Moolah match. You know where I'm going with that. Chock chock chock full of smash fantasy wrestling hits, and while some of the musings about the match placement and endings is valid, but it also reminds me of the days of WCW when Hollywood Hogan was indeed ruling the roost - so I appreciate the nod to realism! If I could boil this entire event into a single beautiful Mash-Up Wrestling moment, it would be "Classy Freddie Blassie takes an Unprettier from the Instant Classic Christian Cage". Where else but, right??? Strong ending to 2013 with the promise (threat) of much more to come. Absolutely amazing work man, and highly inspiring. That's the best gift you could give any fantasy wrestling fan. Thanks again.

Thank you to everyone who left me their feedback/reviews of the event. I put a lot of time and effort into producing this event. Was it perfect? No. Do I think it is a good show? Yes. And, am I happy with it? Yes.
I can appreciate the criticisms for interference and screwy endings in part two of the PPV. However, I'm glad that MSD noticed the nod to the nWo days of WCW. From day one, I've thought of the Illuminati as a group that is similar to the nWo, so I decided to book matches involving Illuminati members as nWo matches would be booked. Moreover, I don't feel like I'm in danger of having screwjob endings all of the time. Bare in mind that the Illuminati's presence in my territory is still only recent. They've only been here for two months and all of the members of the group only came together about 4 weeks before the PPV. It's a new antagonistic group and, given its raison d'être, it needed to establish itself as a major force by any means necessary. It's what the nWo led by Hollywood Hulk Hogan did, and so I thought I would do the same thing here. Moreover, I'm sticking to a formula that works for factions of this sort, you build them up, have them conquer (often times by cheating their way to victory), before eventually the tide turns and they are vanquished. We're still in the earliest days of this factions existence, and so I don't think it is so bad that the matches ended the way they did. If I book all of their matches this way for the next 9 months, then that would be a major problem for sure.
Please note that my comments aren't meant to be a hyperactive 'the guy can't handle criticism defense of my product. I'm just trying to give you some insight into why I chose to book those matches the way I did and why I, myself, don't think it was a problem that they didn't end clean. I also don't have a problem with the placement of the matches. Yes, it may have been better in retrospect to maybe move Graham/Savage and Mero/Piper around.
Plus, I can also appreciate criticisms for the lack of any kind of pay off whatsoever between Moolah/Kim. To be completely honest with everyone, it was the last match I had left to write and I was burnt out from all of the work I'd put into writing the rest of the PPV and the pre-night DSN. At the last second, I decided to just scrap the match and have the post-match surprise attack on Gail Kim moved up to the opening minutes of the match. In that case, I did what I needed to do for my for own mental health - I wrapped it up quickly so that I could publish the show and then step away from writing for a few days. Did it compromise the quality of my work? Absolutely, it did. Do I regret the decision to kill that match? No way! In any case, you'll eventually get to see that match happen. When? I won't say.
Anyhow, thank you all again for your comments regarding the show. Any and all comments are always appreciated. I always take them into account and some of things you guys tell me helps to inform some of my booking decisions, which just goes to show you that what the fans think does actually matter!
