Allons-nous mourir en nains quand nous sommes nés géants?
“Les Géants” par Loco Locass (de Montréal, Québec), extrait de l’album Le Québec est Mort, Vive le Québec! (2012)
Ed Whalen: Ladies and gentlemen, and fans of all ages, welcome to Dynamite Saturday Night! I’m Ed Whalen and with me as always is Jeremy Borash.
Jeremy Borash: We are in wonderful Québec City, Québec, for the first time ever and there are throngs of people who’ve turned out to the Colisée Pepsi to see Dynamite Saturday Night and, more than likely, to catch a glimpse of the AGPW International Heavyweight Champion, Yvon “Le Lion” Robert, who is a legendary figure throughout the province.
Ed Whalen: That he is, Jeremy. Although the Montréal Mafia aren’t very well liked everywhere else we go, it remains to be seen how they will be welcomed by the fans, this evening. Don’t be surprised if they are welcomed with open arms and a standing ovation.
Jeremy Borash: Maybe the larger surprise will be how the fans react to the rest of the talent appearing on tonight’s show. We’re entering uncharted territory with our first show in Québec and the atmosphere, impressions and preferences of the assembled audience are bound to be unlike anything we’ve come across in Atlantic Canada or Maine.
Ed Whalen: Yes, it is bound to be an interesting evening, that’s for certain. And it looks like we won’t have to wait for long to find out how the people will react to wrestlers, tonight. Look who’s on their way to the ring!
It’s the Montréal Mafia! The fans are all on their feet chanting “La Mafia! La Mafia! La Mafia!” This is their land. They run this racket and own this territory. Led to the ring by Québec’s Godfather of professional wrestling, Yvon “Le Lion” Robert are the men that make up this organization – three of whom hail from Montréal, along with one Japanese import, and the organization’s PR man and main mouthpiece, who hails from this very city. This is a hero’s welcome for a faction that has been vilified everywhere else it goes.
Montréal Mafia spokesman and Québec City native, Frenchy Martin, takes a microphone and begins to cut a promo, thanking the fans for the warm welcome: “Merci, Québec! Merci beaucoup! Merci, Québec! Merci beaucoup! Merci! Merci! Merci!
The Mafia chants reignite as Whalen and Borash are unsure of how to react given that no one is translating Frenchy Martin’s words. They simply note that the usually unpopular Montréal Mafia are extremely popular here and suggest that, given the frequency with which he mentions Québec and the Québecois throughout his opening comments, Martin may be whipping up a nationalist fervor inside of the Colisée Pepsi. Before long, Martin finishes his speech and hands the microphone off to the International Heavyweight Champion, Yvon “Le Lion” Robert, who follows suit with his comments being spoken solely in French. Robert puts himself over as the most respected and trusted man in professional wrestling. He gives what he receives. If you treat him with dignity and respect, he’ll would return the favour. He claims to be a fighting champion – despite efforts to avoid giving “The Iceman” Dean Malenko a rematch and defending against Leo Burke – who would be more than pleased to give the people in his home province what they want – an opportunity to see their king of the squared-circle defend his title.
And that’s when “Marvelous” Marc Mero and his personal trainer, Candice Michelle, appear on the AGPW entrance set. Mero, with microphone in hand, says that he spent the last week brushing up on his French so that he’d understand it well enough to know that Yvon Robert just issued an open challenge. Whereas Robert is a man of distinguished character and a far more honourable man than the previous International Heavyweight Champion, Mero believes that he will do the right thing and honour his open challenge to the first man who steps forward and accepts that challenge. Of course, he just so happens to be that man. Yvon Robert and Frenchy Martin have a brief conference before Martin asks the fans whether they would like to see Yvon Robert defend his championship against Marc Mero. They respond affirmatively and so Marc Mero is affirmed as the challenger. Tonight, we’ll see Yvon “Le Lion” Robert defend his title against “Marvelous” Marc Mero!

Bad Influence w/ “Classy” Freddie Blassie vs. The Killer Bees
This is the AGPW debut of Bad Influence – Christopher Daniels and Frank Kazarian. They go up against a very speedy, very athletically gifted duo in The Killer Bees. Brian Blair and Jumpin’ Jim Brunzell do a decent job of hanging with Bad Influence during the first 5-minutes of the contest, after which they lose the ability to keep up with the latest tag team addition to the Illuminati. Daniels and Kazarian spend a couple of minutes showing off why they are such a formidable pair before finishing the match off with a clean victory when Kazarian gives Blair the Fade to Black and Daniels lands the Best Moonsault Ever on him.
Official Decision: Bad Influence wins by pinfall

Following the match, “Classy” Freddie Blassie enters the ring and hands a microphone to Daniels and Kazarian, who cut a short promo about how they are here to dominate the AGPW tag team division and win the North American Tag Team Championship titles on behalf of the Illuminati. Along the way, they take time to talk trash about teams like The Hurricane & Rosey, Lance Cade & Trevor Murdoch, and the current reigning champinos, Dino Bravo & Mad Dog Vachon. Plus, they put themselves over as the sexiest tag team in the country and finish off their promo by giving the fans permission to worship them.
Then, they hand the microphone over to Blassie, who tells the fans that although they all came here to catch a glimpe of Hollywood Hulk Hogan, they will not be so lucky. Hogan is with other Illuminati related business at the WWE’s Survivor Series, this weekend. Moreover, although he is being advertised to appear at AGPW television events through the month of December, he tells everyone not to expect to see any more of the Mash-Up World Heavyweight Champion because there is no truly elite competition for him in this region of the Mash-Up Universe. AGPW gave him the best they had to offer the very first night he was here and he won that match with ease. He closes by claiming that Hollywood Hulk Hogan’s business here is done and that Bad Influence and “Superstar” Billy Graham, under his direction, will begin the Californiacation of Atlantic Grand Prix Wrestling, in the name of the Illuminati!

Chavo Guerrero vs. “Primetime” Elix Skipper
Here’s a face-face matchup, which isn’t all that common in AGPW. It’s a pretty good cruiserweight bout. Skipper shows off his exciting repertory of high-flying maneuvers and martial arts kicks, living up to his billing as “Primetime.” Chavo is nowhere near as flashy, but he’s a solid performer who comes at Skipper with a good, well-balanced and decidedly less risky offensive attack. Skipper is something of a human highlight reel and he’s looking to make a big impression on the fans in only his second match after a long layoff from ring action. However, Chavo kicks out of everything that Skipper tries to put him away and eventually mounts a quick comeback, culminating in a frog splash attempt. However, he misses. Skipper gets up and waits for Guerrero to begin to get up before running to the ropes. He comes back and gets a dropkick. They both get up and Chavo tries to lift Skipper up for the Gory Bomb, but Skipper counters it with a pretty amazing looking sunset flip powerbomb! He remains seated in a pin position, but Chavo just manages to get a shoulder up. They get up and Chavo thumbs Skipper to the eye, then goes for a whip and Skipper reverses it. Chavo comes back and attempts tilt-a-whirl headscissors, but Skipper counters into a tilt-a-whirl uranage slam! He brings Chavo up to his feet and gives him the Play of the Day, then pins him for the 3-count and the victory.
Official Decision: “Primetime” Elix Skipper wins by pinfall
We go backstage to find Cyrus and “Classy” Freddie Blassie. Cyrus is visibly upset. He’s shouting at Blassie that Hogan can’t just no show the entire month of December. He has a contract with commitments to make and he’s leaving a lot of money on the table. Blassie says that Hogan isn’t worried about the money. His pockets are already lined with McMahon money and then walks away. Cyrus mutters to himself that The Network won’t be happy about this and tells himself to think of a way out of this, while repeating the mantra, “I can’t lose the ratings! I can’t lose the ratings!” about a dozen times getting out his phone and placing a call. He’s talking to Emile Duprée. He asks Emile if he’s still talking to that guy he wants to sign. He tells him to do whatever he must to get him to sign because he’ll guarantee the contract on The Network’s dime and tells him to bring him over to the arena as soon as possible. He wants to put on TV, tonight!

VS.
Gail Kim vs. Allison Danger
This is the debut match for both of these Canadian female pro wrestlers. As an added bonus, The Fabulous Moolah joins the commentary team at ringside to call the action. She says that she’s really interested in watching the AGPW debut of both of these women. Gail Kim is the highly touted top draw who arrived in AGPW to much fanfare just two weeks ago. Allison Danger is a powerhouse with a vicious streak. This is a battle of power versus speed. Danger starts the match off by trying to throw Kim around and uses her strength to gain an early advantage, however Kim uses her speed to counteract Danger’s attack. She avoids a lariat attempt and takes Danger down with some tilt-a-whirl headscissors. Kim gains some momentum by leaving her with a springboard cross body and missile dropkick, among other moves. She gets into trouble when she goes for a hurricanrana, which Danger counters with a running powerbomb throw into the top turnbuckle. Danger pins, but Kim manages to kick out. Danger picks her up and tries to set up for Old School Expulsion, but Kim wiggles free, then ducks a lariat attempt and pulls Danger in for her Eat Defeat kick. She pins Danger for the 3-count and the victory.
Official Decision: Gail Kim wins by pinfall
After the match, The Fabulous Moolah enters the ring with the bell and clocks Gail Kim in the head with it! Moolah picks up Kim by the hair and flings her across the ring with the Moolah Whip. She does this to Kim two more times before Kim falls out to the floor on the last one. Officials rush to the ring to come to her aid. Moolah takes the microphone and tells Kim that what happened to her is what happens to every woman who talks trash about The Fabulous Moolah. She mentions Kim’s backstage interview from last week when she claimed that Moolah is plagued by a feeling of entitlement. Moolah denies that she feels entitled to anything and then follows that statement up by saying that she gets whatever she wants because she deserves it. Right now, what she wants more than anything else is to teach today’s generation that they are nothing compared to her – absolutely nothing!

Cuban Assassins vs. Junkyard Dog & Bo Dallas
This one is what good ol’ JR would call a slobberknocker. Right out of the gates, it is the Junkyard Dog and Cuban Assassin Sr. throwing everything and the kitchen sink at each other. Bo Dallas and Cuban Asassin Jr. look on from the ring apron and one wonders whether either of them are really all the interested in getting into the match. The Cuban Assassins take the advantage after CAsr turns a whip attempt all the way around to send JYD into the Assassins’ corner. He distracts the referee while CAjr chokes out JYD with the tag rope. Then CAsr runs in and connects with a leaping avalanche splash. He tags out and CAjr continues the attack. The Cuban Assassins make quick tags to maximize their double-team opportunities and make sure that JYD won’t make a comeback or get to his corner to tag out. After an illegal chokehold by CAsr, JYD gets a few moments to rest as the Cuban Assassins argue with the referee. He tags in his son. CAsr picks up JYD and holds him while CAjr climbs the turnbuckle and flies off of it going for a diving shoulderblock. However, JYD gets out of the way and CAjr ends up taking out his father. After a few seconds, JYD makes the hot tag to Dallas, who comes in and takes it to both men. He’s been on the ring apron for the entire match and has a ton of energy stored up. He acts quickly to attack both men and hit them both with a number of moves before removing CAsr from the ring. Bo Dallas goes for a whip, but CAjr reverses it. He goes for a swinging clothesline, but Dallas ducks it. He bounces off the opposite ropes and takes CAjr down with a running forearm smash. He pins for a 2-count. He sends CAjr into the corner and nails him with a running clothesline. CAsr comes over and tries for an axehandle smash, but Dallas moves and it connects with CAjr’s head. CAsr turns around and gets a dropkick that sends him back into his son. Dallas tags in his partner. They go to the far corner and Dallas whips JYD from one corner to the other, where he nails both Cubans with a running avalanche splash. Dallas follows in and piles on with a leaping avalanche splash. Dallas grabs CAsr and tosses him from the ring. JYD picks up CAjr and gives him the Thump! He pins him for the 3-count and the win!
Official Decision: Junkyard Dog & Bo Dallas win by pinfall
Marc Blondin is joined by “Superstar” Billy Graham and his manager, “Classy” Freddie Blassie, to cut a promo where they rip into “Macho Man” Randy Savage. They remind us of the vicious assault on Savage last week. The 4-on-1 beat down that ended with Graham spray a yellow streak down Savage’s spine. They tell us that they wouldn’t be surprised if Savage never shows his face again. Graham says that it would be no great loss to AGPW or the rest of the wrestling world if Savage never showed his ugly face again. He makes reference to the fact that last week he put his 22-inch arms wrapped around Savage’s waist and squeezed the life right out of the man. He squeezed all of the machismo and madness out of him, leaving him with no manhood left. His only regret, he says, is that he didn’t get to it inside of the ring in a real match, so he could show the world why he’s the man of the hour, the man with power, and too sweet to be sour!
*Commercial Break 5*
“Marvelous” Marc Mero and Candice Michelle go to grab a light snack at the backstage catering table. “The Iceman” Dean Malenko and Leo Burke are there. Burke sees him and, although they aren’t friends, he wishes Mero good luck in his title match against Yvon “Le Lion” Robert. Candice Michelle says thanks, but that Mero doesn’t need it. Malenko tells her that Burke wasn’t talking to her. Mero tells him not to get snappy with his personal trainer and asks them why they’d bother wishing him good luck. Malenko says that they’d be happy to see anyone but a member of the Montréal Mafia holding the top prize in AGPW. Mero says that he isn’t just anybody and that he’ll win the title without the need of luck. Burke says that regardless of whether he needs luck, Mero can count on Malenko and himself to help out if the going gets tough. Mero tells them that he doesn’t need their help because he doesn’t like either one of them. So, he asks the rhetorical question, why on earth would he want their help? Burke says that he would need their help because a smart man would know that when you’re facing a member of the Montréal Mafia, you’re really facing the entire family. That puts Mero at a 4-to-1 disadvantage. They’ll make sure that Mero loses and, if need be, they’ll slaughter him. Malenko then tells him that since he doesn’t want their help, they won’t get involved no matter how bad off he is. Suddenly, Mero is having second thoughts, but Malenko and Burke walk off. Candice Michelle reassures Mero that he doesn’t need them or anybody, but he doesn’t appear to be buying it. The segment ends with Mero telling Candice Michelle that he doesn’t have time to eat a snack because he forgot that he has some urgent business to take care of. He rushes off, leaving Candice Michelle to shouting out, “Where are you going?”

Christian Cage comes home to Canada and Atlantic Grand Prix Wrestling (where he performed circa 1996-1997)! Christian takes a microphone and talks about his reasons for coming to AGPW, where he first appeared circa 1996-1997 as one half of the Suicide Blondes (with Sexton Hardcastle - more commonly known as Edge or Adam Copeland). Among other things, his biggest reasons for coming to AGPW are to solidify his legacy as a true #1 man in the wrestling business and to go after Hollywood Hulk Hogan and win the Mash-Up World Heavyweight Champion as a representative of AGPW!

SoCal Val is backstage with Samoa Joe, who made his first appearance in AGPW last week when he stopped The Hurricane and Rosey from being annihilated by “Killer” Karl Krupp and “The Acadian Gant” Kurrgan. Val asks him why he chose that moment to make his first appearance in AGPW – why attack Krupp and Kurrgan? Samoa Joe tells us that he chose that moment to appear not only because two good men needed a helping hand, but also for the simple reason that he wanted to go after the two biggest and baddest men in AGPW. By going after Krupp, in particular, he’s looking to make a statement – that the man who claims to be a “Killer” needs to live up to his moniker or be killed himself, because Karl Krupp isn’t the only murdered in these parts anymore. “Killer” Karl Krupp has been served notice that Joe’s going to kill you!
VS.
Johnny Devine vs. Ezekiel Jackson
Much like the women’s match we saw earlier in the evening, this one is a battle of raw power versus speed. The brash and cocky Johnny Devine cuts a short pre-match promo about how he isn’t afraid of the Guyanese big man. Jackson comes to the ring and Devine attacks immediately. After an opening assault that backs Jackson into the corner, Jackson turns the tables when Devine runs at him and goes for a monkey flip. Instead, Jackson holds him up and throws him into the mat with a spinebuster. From there, it’s all Jackson with clobbering punches, forearm shots, devastating clotheslines, and a series of scoop slams. However, once Jackson goes for the Book of Ezekiel, Devine pulls out a surprising float-over DDT to counter it. After being down for a few moments, he covers Jackson, but he kicks out at two! Devine runs to the ropes and goes for a springboard moonsault, but lands on Jackson’s knees. They both get up at about the same time. Jackson goes for a lariat, but Devine ducks it. He tries to catch Jackson with a superkick, but Jackson blocks it with his hands, then turns Devine inside out with a lariat! He picks up Devine and gives him the torture rack to get the submission win.
Official Decision: Ezekiel Jackson wins by submission
We go back to a shot from within the arena boiler room. The camera is following “Marvelous” Marc Mero, who stops in a dark corner. Emerging from the shadows is The Blue Blazer, who asks Mero why he’s requested this meeting. Mero says that he understands that The Blue Blazer and his followers are guardians of the law and that their greatest concern in AGPW is to ensure that the rules and laws of professional wrestling are being upheld. The Blue Blazer confirms that is his mission – to seek justice against those who would violates the rules and laws of professional wrestling in AGPW. So, Mero, says that he was hoping that maybe he could count on The Blue Blazer to make sure that the rules and laws of professional wrestling are upheld when he challenge Yvon “Le Lion” Robert for the International Heavyweight Champion later tonight. Mero says that Robert, as a member of the Montréal Mafia, probably won’t abide by the rules, as everyone knows that when you face one member of the Mafia, you’re really fighting the entire family. The Blue Blazer ponders his request for a moment and then tells him that he can count on his justice league to be there in the event that the Montréal Mafia violate the rules. Mero is elated. However, the Blue Blazer says that after they’ve helped him, Mero will have to do something for him. Mero says he’ll do anything to get a fair shake at the International Heavyweight Championship. He gets his shot at the gold, coming next, after the break!

International Heavyweight Championship Match
Yvon “Le Lion” Robert w/ Frenchy Martin vs. “Marvelous” Marc Mero w/ Candice Michelle
Yvon “Le Lion” Robert w/ Frenchy Martin vs. “Marvelous” Marc Mero w/ Candice Michelle
If played out in most corners of the AGPW region, this match would be a heel versus heel match up and the fans might be apathetic about its outcome. However, this match is taking place in Québec, which means that Yvon “Le Lion” Robert has the backing of 6000 fans strong, chanting “Le Lion! Le Lion! Le Lion!” Robert is the fans’ choice. He is not only the AGPW’s International Heavyweight Champion, but the people’s champion – at least in this corner of the globe. The challenge, “Marvelous” Marc Mero, appears to have no fan support, unless you count Candice Michelle as his fan.
The match starts with a raucous crowd chanting for the champion. He boasts in the glory of hearing his name chanted and acknowledges the fans, which only makes them louder. Mero, does what he does best at the beginning of matches, which is stall, stall and stall some more. He occasionally gets brave enough to lock horns with Robert, but always ends up on losing the grapple and getting tossed to the mat, leading to more stalling on his part. Finally, though, Robert bores of the exercise and wins grapple by locking on a side headlock. He holds it for a long time. Mero breaks it, but Robert goes back to it and takes Mero to the mat with a side headlock takedown. After while on the mat and a few 1-counts when his shoulders both hit the mat, Mero gets to his feet and breaks the hold with some pointed elbows to the sternum. He hauls off and hits Robert with a closed fist to the jaw, getting a warning from the referee in the process. Mero runs to the ropes, ducks a clothesline attempt, and comes back off the ropes to go for a cross body block, but Robert catches him and gives him a fallaway slam. Mero slides out of the ring. He sees Frenchy Martin and Tajiri standing nearby and complains to the referee that they are trying to get too close to him, despite that they actually backed away from him as he slid out to get a breather. Mero, is clearly paranoid that other members of the family will get involved in the match in spite of the assurance of protection that he will get from the Blue Blazer. Mero climbs onto the ring apron. Robert comes over to grab him, but Mero hangs him up with a hotshot across the top rope, then climbs the turnbuckle and gives Robert a missile dropkick! He pins for a short 2-count. Mero is now in control and he wasts little time doing damage. Mero hits a succession of moves focusing on Robert’s head, trying to soften up the champion for the TKO. While working away on him, he trades barbs with Martin and Tajiri and eggs on the crowd at times. Mero grows increasingly confident the longer he remains in control of the proceedings. Mero has Robert in a seated double armbar hold, but Robert gets up, breaks the hold, and begins to mount a comeback by chopping Mero until he’s backed up into the ropes. Then, he goes for a whip, but Mero reverses it. Robert counts his back bodydrop set up with a sunset flip that goes a 2-count. They get up and Mero swings for the fences with a haymaker attempt, but Robert moves to avoid it and takes Mero down into a variation of a single armbar takedown. Mero crawls to the ropes for the rope break. Robert doesn’t let go until the referee’s reaches the count of four. He gets up and argues with the referee. Mero gets up to his knees. He points to Martin. The referee turns his head and Mero low blows Robert as he goes to grab him. Then, Mero gives his a hair pull takedown. He pins for a 2-count! Martin is angry and hops onto the ring apron. He starts a heated argument with the referee. Tajiri slides into the ring and begins to stalk Mero, as he stomps away at Robert. His stalking gives Suicide and Manik enough time to rush to the ring Tajiri sees them coming and sprays his mist at Manik, but it has no effect on him as his costume doesn’t have eye holes, so he just gives Tajiri a running dropkick to the chest, sending him crashing back into the referee, which knocks him out and sends Martin flying off the ring apron and into the guardrail. With Suicide and Manik on the attack, out comes Rowdy Roddy Piper, Tyson Kidd, Dino Bravo, Mad Dog Vachon, Leo Burke and Dean Malenko!
The Blue Blazer comes from out of the crowd, grabs Mero by the foot and pulls him out of the ring, away from the brawl going on inside of the ring. The brawl creates stange bedfellows out of the men inside of the ring. Piper and Kidd appear to be somewhat aligned with the members of the Mafia, due to their long-standing issues with Suicide and Manik, who have been dispersed to keep the Mafia from costing Mero the match. Burke and Malenko have issues with the Mafia, and appear to be defending the vigilantes because of common enemies. Slowly but surely some of the brawlers spill out of the ring and continue the fight around ringside. Meanwhile, from out of all of the chaos comes a man wearing street clothes with his face hidden by a hood. He hops the guardrail behind the Blue Blazer, Marc Mero and Candice Michelle and hits the Blazer from behind with a chair! Mero turns around and gets knocked out with a superkick. Suicide charges at him and gets a superkick! The man pulls down his hood to reveal that it is Lance Storm!
Meanwhile, beside him, Tajiri grabs Mero and throws him into the ring, where Robert waits. He grabs Mero and puts him in his rolling arm trap headscissors! The referee comes to and sees Mero tapping out. Yvon “Le Lion” Robert retains the title via submission. The show closes out with Robert having his hand raised, while raising the title in his other amidst the chaos of the fighting going on around him and the crowd chanting his name.
Official Decision: Yvon "Le Lion" Robert wins by submission
