Ed Whalen: Welcome to Atlantic Grand Prix Wrestling on ASN! I’m Ed Whalen and along with is Jeremy Borash. Last week, fans, AGPW crowned a number one contender to Dean Malenko’s International Heavyweight Championship when Leo Burke defeated Test in a number one contender’s match. Now, Dean Malenko will defend the title against Leo Burke at PRIMETIME LIVE on Saturday, October 26 – just three weeks from today!
Jeremy Borash: That’s right, Ed. And while we all witnessed Leo Burke win the number one contendership, Test cannot be too happy about that. Last week, he was threatening to take legal action against AGPW for a series of perceived slights against him, which all culminated in Chief Morley shoving Test off of a turnbuckle, which may or may not have contributed to his loss at our last PRIMETIME LIVE, two weeks ago. One can count on him still be angry that he has once again been denied at shot at the International Heavyweight Championship.
Ed Whalen: Speaking of the International Heavyweight Championship, the champion, “The Iceman” Dean Malenko, had another successful title defence last week when he defeated Yoshihiro Tajiri. However, his win didn’t come without a cost. He was attacked by the North American Tag Team Champions, Dino Bravo and Mad Dog Vachon of the Montréal Mafia. Now, tonight, in an effort to gain a measure of revenge, Dean Malenko will face Mad Dog Vachon in our main event.
Jeremy Borash: And the International Heavyweight Championship will be on the line. Frenchy Martin would not agree to the match without it being a title match. Malenko agreed to his terms and so that match will take place, tonight. As we both know, last week, Frenchy Martin announced that his Montréal Mafia is now hell bent on gaining possession of all of the gold in AGPW! Could Mad Dog Vachon become both a singles a tag team champion? Fans, you’ll want to stay tuned for that main event!
Ed Whalen: Yes, and we’ll also see “Marvelous” Marc Mero versus Chavo Guerrero, Al Snow vs. Chris Hero and the AGPW debut of The Hurricane & Rosey.
Jeremy Borash: Plus, Taylor Wilde made an open challenge for a match, tonight. If someone steps forward to accept it, we’ll have the first ever women’s match on Atlantic Grand Prix Wrestling on ASN!
Ed Whalen: All of that and more will take place over the next two hours! Now, let’s go to ringside for our opening contest!
VS. w/
Kaientai vs. Magnus & Antonio Cesaro w/ Maryse Ouellet
This is a hot contest to open tonight’s show. Both teams put together a very exciting match. Kaientai are fast and fun to watch. Magnus & Cesaro aren’t slouches by any stretch of the imagination, but they don’t take to the air quite as freely and confidently as TAKA and Funaki do. The match goes back and forth for several minutes. Funaki also plays the role of the face-in-peril for a little bit. He makes the hot tag to TAKA, who goes on a tear before getting steamrolled by a stiff clothesline from Magnus. Maryse looks on, confident that her international studs and future superstars will prevail – and they do. Magnus gives Funaki a pair of powerbombs and then kicks him under the ropes as Cesaro gives TAKA the Neutralizer and pins him for the victory.
Official Decision: Magnus and Antonio Cesaro win by pinfall
Test is in his dressing room talking on his phone, when a knock is heard at the door and an AGPW road agent sticks his head inside the door to talk to Test, who looks rather annoyed that he’s being interrupted. He tells the road agent to come back later because he’s busy talking to his lawyer. The road agent just tells him that there is enough time in the schedule to give him a slot in the second hour of the show. Test tells him that’s great and then tells him to leave.
*Commercial Break 1*
SoCal Val is at the backstage interview set with a surprise guest – Sensational Sherri! The Queen of Mean cuts a promo running down every woman in the company – from Miss Elizabeth to Maryse Ouellet to Taylor Wilde – and some others who’ve been seen in AGPW but aren’t signed to contracts (Trish Stratus and Fabulous Moolah). She heard that Taylor Wilde wants to have a wrestling match tonight. Sherri’s heard the open challenge and she’s here to accept it.
It’ll be Taylor Wilde vs. Sensational Sherri in the first ever women’s wrestling match in AGPW history, later tonight on Atlantic Grand Prix Wrestling on ASN!
Lance Storm comes out the ring and grabs a microphone. He asks the fans in attendance if he can be serious for a moment and they grant his request with a resounding “Yes!” Storm is extremely unsatisfied with the events of two weeks ago, at PRIMETIME LIVE. He now has a vendetta against, not only the Blue Blazer, but his apparent lackey, “No Class” Bobby Bass. Since he knows that the Blue Blazer won’t come out and face him like a man, Storm figures he might as well give Bass his comeuppance first. He says that Bass made a grave mistake, seeing as how he struggles in matches against the worst of wrestlers, he wonders what Bass thinks he’s doing sticking his nose into the business of a highly skilled and accomplished ring general such as himself. He thinks that Bass should know better than to mess with a man who hails from Calgary, Alberta, Canada, because history has shown that the wrestlers who come out of Calgary can hurt anyone because they all share one thing in common – an excellent of execution. However, he also knowns that Bass is that local idiot that everyone sees around town – the one who always has a chip on his shoulder and is looking for a fight, but tends to make an ass of himself. So, Storm invites Bass to come down to the ring for a fight. “No Class” Bobby Bass obliges. He comes down to the ring with a steel chair in his hands. He’s ready for a fight, but not without an equalizer.
VS.
Lance Storm vs. “No Class” Bobby Bass
The bell rings as Bass slides into the ring. Storm charges at him and Bass swings for the fences, but Storm ducks the chairshot attempt. Bass turns around and receives a superkick! Storm puts him in the sharpshooter and he taps out almost instantly.
Official Decision: Lance Storm wins by submission
Just as Storm releases the hold, he receives a chair shot to the back of the head. Then, the mysterious Blue Blazer flips Storm over and locks him in the sharpshooter. While he has Storm writhing in pain, he demands a microphone from the ring announcer. He accuses Storm of continuing to perpetuation his crimes and rhetorically asks him why he continues to do it before telling him that for as long as he continues to perpetuate the same crimes over and over again, the Blue Blazer will always be there to make sure that justice is served. Then, he relinquishes the hold at the sight of AGPW arena security and disappears through the crowd.
*Commercial Break 2*
We go to the Chief of Staff’s Office to find Chief Morley meeting with AGPW owner Emile Duprée. They are discussing the threat of a lawsuit by Test. Morley believes that he has quelled those fears with his actions from last week. Duprée is unhappy with the peace offering. He tells Morley that he made a mistake and that he should know better than to have gone with a #1 contender’s match. Morley tries to defend his decision, but Duprée tells him that he has no doubt that Test accepted what Morley gave him and that he’ll still serve them notice of a lawsuit, especially since he didn’t win the match. He is of the opinion that Test had to be handed the #1 contender’s shot to keep the lawsuit from going forward. He says that Morley has put the company in a terrible position because he can’t afford to deal with a lawsuit. And what’s more, the very threat of a lawsuit puts their new television deal with Rogers Communications in jeopardy. Going forward, that television deal is what could make or break AGPW, and he has to do whatever is necessary to forge that partnership. Just then, the AGPW road agent from before walks in and tells them that he went to tell Test about his allotted slot and overheard him talking to his lawyer. The agent is dismissed. Both men have grave looks of concern on their faces. Morley says that he promises to fix this. Duprée tells Morley that this is out of his hands and that he’ll have to deal with this problem himself. Moreover, he tells Morley to leave the arena and take the rest of the night off. He’ll take care of business for the rest of the evening.
w/ VS.
The Hurricane & Rosey w/ Mighty Molly vs. Danny Doring & Roadkill
This is a fairly quick match that sees The Hurricane and Rosey outdo Danny Doring and Roadkill at every turn. Doring and Roadkill struggle to get anything going. They have a brief moment of luck when Roadkill catches a cross body block attempt from The Hurricane and counters it with a falling forward slam. However, Doring loses the one advantage they had in the match. The Hurricane and Rosey finish off the match in style when Rosey gives Doring a sidewalk slam at the same time that The Hurricane executes the Eye of the Hurricane on him. The Hurricane covers him as Rosey blocks Roadkill’s path to making the save. The Hurricane and Rosey win their debut match!
Official Decision: The Hurricane & Rosey win by pinfall
While The Hurricane, Rosey and Mighty Molly are celebrating their victory, the Cuban Assassins come to the ring and attack The Hurricane and Rosey. They brawl inside the ring for a bit, but the superheroes eventually conquer the evil forces of socialism with the Cuban Assassin receiving a nasty Samoan drop and his son getting the Eye of the Hurricane!
*Commercial Break 3*
VS. w/
Chavo Guerrero Jr. vs. “Marvelous” Marc Mero w/ Candice Michelle
Here’s a great matchup to finish off the first hour of our show. Chavo is looking to get back into the win column after a disappointing loss in tag team action at PRIMETIME LIVE. He had a really good summer, but has cooled off as of late (a lot of his troubles attributable to Magnus & Antonio Cesaro). “Marvelous” Marc Mero, of course, just finished headlining PRIMETIME LIVE where he lost an opportunity to become the International Heavyweight Champion. He’s looking for a win to keep his name near the top of the list of title contenders. Chavo takes the fight to him early. Mero mostly just tries to weather the storm and hopes to get back to even footing with Chavo after he’s tired himself out from his opening flurry of offense. As Chavo starts to slow down, Mero gets back into the match and starts to really take control after dumping Chavo to the outside. He distracts the referee while his personal trainer, Candice Michelle, puts the boots to Chavo. Once she has finished, Mero goes to the outside and drops Chavo across the guardrail. He follows it up by ramming his back into the side of the ring. Mero sends Chavo into the ring and heads to the turnbuckle. Chavo gets up and Mero takes him down with a flying double axehandle smash. He picks up Chavo and gives him a bodyslam. Mero goes to the top rope and tries for a moonsault, but Chavo rolls out of the way. They get up and Chavo runs and ducks to avoid a haymaker. He bounces off of the ropes and takes Mero down with a cross body into a pin for a two count. They get up and Chavo pulls Mero in for the 3 Amigos snap suplexes. Chavo goes to the top rope and tries for the frog splash, but lands on Mero’s knees! When they get up Mero lifts Chavo into a fireman’s carry to set up for the TKO, but Chavo pulls him down into a crucifix. He gets a long 2-count. They get up and Chavo dropkicks Mero to the mat. He flips him over and puts him in a Mexican surfboard, but Mero won’t quit. Chavo drops him and climbs the turnbuckle. With the referee not looking, Candice Michelle grabs the top rope to cause Chavo to get crotched on the top turnbuckle. Mero climbs the turnbuckle and set up for a superplex, but Chavo blocks it, punches him a few times in the ribs and shoves him to the mat. He tries to go for the frog splash again, but Mero rolls out of the way. They get up and Mero runs over and buries a knee into Chavo’s stomach. Then, he goes for the TKO again and succeeds! He pins for the 3-count and the victory.
Following the match, Candice Michelle enters the ring with a microphone and announces that the marvelous one has an announcement to make. Mero takes the microphone and runs down the “Macho Man” Randy Savage for sticking his nose in his business and costing him the International Heavyweight Championship (although, what he doesn’t mention is that Savage was merely stopping him from using a foreign object as a weapon). Mero lays down the challenge – a singles match at PRIMETIME LIVE: “Marvelous” Marc Mero vs. “Macho Man” Rancy Savage! Could it be? We’ll have to wait for the Macho Man’s response.
Official Decision: “Marvelous” Marc Mero wins by pinfall
*Commercial Break 4*
VS.
Al Snow vs. Chris Hero
Here’s a good match in the middle of the show to keep the crowd interested. It has a good fast pace. Al Snow gets a lot of offense in, but Chris Hero manages to hold his own throughout much of the match. They really go back and forth for several minutes, but one miscue by Snow makes all of the difference in this one. Snow goes to the top turnbuckle and tries for a splash, but Hero gets out of the way. When they both get up, Hero avoids a clothesline attempt and then strikes gold with a Hangman’s Elbow. He follows that up with a Hangman’s Neckbreaker just to make sure Snow can’t kick out of the pin. Hero is victorious.
Official Decision: Chris Hero wins by pinfall
After the match has ended, Sunny comes to the ring to question Chris Hero about his actions at PRIMETIME LIVE. She wants to know why he abandoned Chris Candido and her during the match against the Cuban Assassins. By walking out on the match, he left Candido to suffer the loss and Sunny to fall victim to an attempted kidnapping scheme. Hero just stares at her and doesn’t say anything. Instead, he turns his back to leave the ring. As he begins to step through the ring, he stop when he hears Sunny say that she knew that he couldn’t be trusted because low life pieces of garbage like him give off that vibe. He walks up to her and starts flapping his gums. He takes the mic from her hands and says that he never wanted to be pals with Candido and Sunny. He always thought that Candido was a chump, which was proven the night he failed to win the finals to crown the first AGPW International Heavyweight Champion. He goes on to say that knocking Candido out with the Hangman’s Elobw might’ve looked like a mistake, but it wasn’t. He lured them into a situation where the Young Knockout Kid could do what he does best – and that’s knock people out! Sunny demands to know why he decided to toy with her and Candido and he responds that screwing them over, entering into a feud with them, and defeating Candido is the easiest way to gain a little bit of infamy.
At that point, Sunny slaps Hero across the face. Seconds later, Candido knocks him down from behind and starts throwing fists at him. Candido and Hero trade blows while they roll around on the mat until they are finally separated by several AGPW ring officials. During a later match in tonight’s broadcast, Jeremy Borash announces that Candido asked for and was granted a match against Hero at PRIMETIME LIVE, three weeks from now.
*Commercial Break 5*
VS.
Taylor Wilde vs. Sensational Sherri
This is the first even women’s wrestling match on Atlantic Grand Prix Wrestling on ASN. Taylor Wilde is the young, athletic and exciting challenger to the far more experienced and nearly unbeatable Sensational Sherri. The Fabulous Moolah joins Ed Whalen and Jeremy Borash to call this match. Moolah is unimpressed with either wrestler. Borash brings up the history between Moolah and Sherri, who once defeated Moolah for the WWF Woman’s Championship. Moolah calls that win a fluke. She vows that if she ever gets into a ring with Sherri again, the results will be different. Moolah also takes the time to address Trish Stratus, but only after Borash mentions her name. Moolah believes that Trish would be wise to keep her distance from the holder of professional wrestling’s longest title reign ever. As for the action, in the ring. It is a good fast paced match with Wilde showing incredible athleticism and a flair for high-risk offense. Sherri brings the grittier offense. She’s not afraid to get down and dirty and, in fact, appears to actually prefer it that way. However, the ending of this match is a bit unsatisfying. Taylor Wilde goes on a flurry with tilt-a-whirl headscissors, some big arm drags and a dropkick that sends Sherri out to the floor. Wilde then uses the top rope to fling herself down onto Sherri with a plancha. After they both get up, Sherri reverses a whip that sends Wilde crashing into the guardrail. She runs in and clotheslines her over the top and to the floor. Sherri continues to bring the fight to her, but doesn’t bring it back to the ring, thus resulting in a double countout.
Official Decision: Double countout
SoCal Val is backstage with “The Iceman” Dean Malenko. She asks him for his comments about the attack on him last week by the Montréal Mafia and the opportunity to gain a measure of revenge in his title defence, tonight, against Mad Dog Vachon. Malenko says that it is not surprising that he was attacked the way he was. He expected the Mafia to come out in full force, but the numbers overwhelmed him. However, he’s geared up and prepared to prove to Frenchy Martin that he can beat any man that he carts out to the ring to challenge him. Last week, he showed that Tajiri was no match for him, tonight he will show that Mad Dog Vachon can’t dance with him, and next week he’ll be happy to prove that Canada’s Strongest Man, Dino Bravo, doesn’t have enough power to pull the International Heavyweight Championship from off of his waist. Val, then asks him for a comment about his upcoming title bout at PRIMETIME LIVE, where he will have to wrestle Leo Burke. Malenko looks at it no differently than he does any other match. Burke is just another wrestler who hasn’t been able to defeat him. Val asks Malenko if it bothers him that on both of their previous encounters, while he’s been declared the winner, neither man was won cleanly. Malenko seems a little irked by the question, but responds that it doesn’t bother him. He doesn’t care what forces were working against Burke on each of those occasions because even if Burke hadn’t made so many enemies, the single most important force working against Burke in those matches was himself. He’ll prove that once and for all at PRIMETIME LIVE on October 26.
*Commercial Break 6*
Marc Blondin is joined backstage by “Macho Man” Randy Savage and the always lovely Miss Elizabeth. They were not expected to be here, but they are. Blondin asks them if they heard the challenge made earlier tonight by “Marvelous” Marc Mero. Savage confirms that he did and he accepts the match. He will gladly go into battle against Mero, whom he believes needs to come to grips with reality. Savage is going to try to force it into Mero’s thick skull. What is the reality? That Mero is a talentless hack who can’t win a wrestling match without the help of foreign objects or outsider interference. This point will be proven to him when the Macho Man defeats him at PRIMETIME LIVE. And on one other note, the Macho Man tells Blondin that he will be in action next week on Atlantic Grand Prix Wrestling on ASN!
Test comes to the ring. He goes on a diatribe about all of the reasons for which he hates being a member of the Atlantic Grand Prix Wrestling roster and thinks of his time here on the East Coast of Canada as something akin to serving a prison sentence, but in his mind, he plays the role of the wrongly convicted jailbird. Test calls Chief Morley a fool for thinking that giving him a #1 Contender’s match would appease him. Win or lose, he always intended to find his way out. It’s the only thing that matters to him now. He wants out of this company. It is too small time for a wrestler of his stature and it has treated him poorly ever since the day he came here. With that in mind, Test produces an officially sealed envelope from within his pocket. He says that what is inside this envelope is going to win him his freedom and destroy AGPW all in one fell swoop.
Emile Duprée comes to the ring and pleads with Test to reconsider. He asks Test what it would take to stop him and his lawyers from filing suit on Monday. Test says that all he wants now is to get out of AGPW. Nothing else will stop him from proceeding with the lawsuit. However, Duprée has a proposition for him. He wants Test to consider holding off on the lawsuit in exchange for something that he surely cannot refuse: an anything goes, no disqualification match at PRIMETIME LIVE against the AGPW Chief of Staff, Sean Morley. Test’s face lights up. He wants to make sure that this is for real and asks more questions. Duprée responds in the affirmative each time. This is for real. But Test says that isn’t enough. He would love to get his hands on Morley to pay him back for all of the grief he’s caused him, but it gives him nothing but short-term satisfaction. He wants long-term satisfaction and the only thing that will satisfy him in the long-term is a release from AGPW. So, Test wants to add in one stipulation. He’ll agree to forego filing his lawsuit for a match with Morley, provided that if he wins, he is granted his release from AGPW. Duprée hesitates to agree. Test gives him 5 seconds to think about or else he’s going to give Duprée a really bad Monday. At the conclusion of his 5 second countdown, Duprée agrees. Test looks like he just won the lottery!
At the next PRIMETIME LIVE, it’s Test vs. Chief Morley in a No DQ match. If Test wins, he gets set free from the horrors of working for AGPW!

International Heavyweight Championship Title Match
“The Iceman” Dean Malenko vs. Mad Dog Vachon w/ Frenchy Martin
“The Iceman” Dean Malenko vs. Mad Dog Vachon w/ Frenchy Martin
It’s the Iceman versus the Mad Dog! Vachon tries to gain an early advantage on the lock up by thumbing Malenko’s eyes and giving him a back rake. Vachon goes into full on beatdown mode. However, it doesn’t last long, as he goes for a whip from one corner to the other. Malenko reverses it and Vachon hits the turnbuckle hard. He pops right out of the corner and walks into a back bodydrop. Vachon gets up and takes a dropkick. Malenko goes for an early cover, but Vachon kicks out at the count of one. They lock up and get into a full on chop fest. Both men’s chests turn beet red. Vachon appears not to be able to take much more of it, as Malenko starts to hit multiple chops in a row. So, Frenchy Martin climbs onto the ring apron to grab the referee’s attention, allowing Vachon to just haul off and punt Malenko in the crotch! Malenko falls like a pile of bricks. Vachon goes to the staples of his offensive arsenal by kicking, punching and choking Malenko. He mixes in a back bodydrop, vertical suplex, bodyslam and rear chinlock for a bit of variety. Vachon loses the advantage when he goes for another back bodydrop, only to have it reversed into a sunset flip that he kicks out of. They get up and Vachon tries to clothesline Malenko. He ducks it and runs to the ropes and they both hit running clotheslines. Both men are down until the count of nine. When they get up, they trade blows and Vachon gets the better of the exchange. He backs Malenko into the corner and goes for a whip. Malenko reverses it, then charges in and takes Vachon down with a monkey flip. Malenko hops up onto the second turnbuckle and jumps off to take Vachon down with a bulldog. Malenko grabs Vachon and locks on the texas Cloverleaf. Frenchy Martin gets up and grabs the referee by the collar to run a distraction that prevents him from seeing Vachon tapping out.
Dino Bravo rushes down to the ring. He charges at Malenko and tries to hit him head on with his North American Tag Team Title belt, but Malenko releases the submission hold and ducks. Fortunately from the referee, he breaks free from his argument with Martin just in time to step out of the way of a charging Bravo, who ends up smacking his own manager in the face with his title belt! Bravo is shocked and motionless. He’s not sure of what to do, which is unfortunate for him, because he receives a running clothesline that sends him to the floor. However, when Malenko turns around, Vachon kicks him in the sternum and then quickly gives him a piledriver! He pins. 1…2…
Leo Burke hits him with a double axehandle smash to the head to break it up! The referee calls for the bell and awards the match to Mad Dog Vachon. Meanwhile, Burke and Vachon are trading blows like there’s no tomorrow until Bravo jumps Burke from behind. The two-on-one beatdown is on, leading to Burke receiving a spiked piledriver! Malenko gets up and the Mafia give him the same treatment. Malenko receives his second spiked piledriver in as many weeks! The North American Tag Team Champions standby and survey their carnage, as Frenchy Martin takes turns bending over both of the fallen men to give them both a profanity-laced tongue lashing!
Official Decision: Mad Dog Vachon wins by disqualification
Ed Whalen: Ladies and gentlemen, the North American Tag Team Champions stand tall over the International Heavyweight Champion and his number one contender!
Jeremy Borash: Both Dean Malenko and Leo Burke have been torn to pieces by the Montréal Mafia. And Mad Dog Vachon was just milliseconds away from winning the title. You just know that Frenchy Martin won’t let this one go quietly.
Ed Whalen: It will be interesting to see what happens next week between all of these men. The Mafia aren’t involved in the International Heavyweight Title match at PRIMETIME LIVE, but they are aggressively pursuing the title and will now likely argue that Mad Dog Vachon was screwed out of the title.
Jeremy Borash: We’ll just have to wait to see how this changes the International Heavyweight title picture, if any. It’s really anyone’s guess what happens next.
Ed Whalen: Well, it’s been an exciting night of action on Atlantic Grand Prix Wrestling on ASN. Fans, we’re all out of time. We hope you’ll join us next week for more exciting wrestling entertainment. In the meantime and in between time, this is Ed Whalen thanking you for watching Atlantic Grand Prix Wrestling on ASN. Good night everyone!
