Ed Whalen: Good evening, wrestling fans! Welcome to Atlantic Grand Prix Wrestling on ASN. It’s great to be back on the airwaves!
Jeremy Borash: It most certainly is! Welcome! I’m Jeremy Borash and my broadcast partner is the legendary voice of Canadian professional wrestling – Ed Whalen!
Ed Whalen: Fans, we’re only two weeks away from PRIMETIME LIVE, here on ASN, and still not much is known about the card for that major event. What we do know is that the International Heavyweight Champion, Dean Malenko, will defend his title against “Marvelous” Marc Mero. Plus, the North American Tag Team Champions, The Montréal Mafia, will defend their titles against Petey Williams and Eric Young of Team Canada.
Jeremy Borash: And Rowdy Roddy Piper will go to war with Yoshihiro Tajiri in a match that has no disqualifications. Plus, in another match that we can expect to be an all-out war, Magnus and Antonio Cesaro will face Al Snow and Chavo Guerrero.
Ed Whalen: And that’s all that we know so far. I would imagine that we’ll know a bit more about the big event at the end of tonight’s show. And speaking of tonight’s show, what will we see, Jeremy?
Jeremy Borash: We’re going to finally see “Killer” Karl Krupp in action, instead of at the ring for one of his Iron Claw Challenges. He’s going to take on Bo Dallas.
Ed Whalen: Defeating the monstrous “Killer” Karl Krupp is not going to be an easy task for the rookie, Bo Dallas.
Jeremy Borash: No, it won’t be. However, we’ve seen him hold his own since arriving in Atlantic Grand Prix Wrestling. Let’s see what he can do against the demonic beast from Mannheim, Germany. Plus, Chris Candido looks to settle a score against the Cuban Assassins when he faces Cuban Assassin Jr.
Ed Whalen: Yes, as you may recall, two weeks ago, the Cuban Assassins attempted to kidnap Sunny. However, their evil plot was thwarted by an unlikely saviour in Chris Hero. The young knockout kid lived up to his name last week, acting every bit the hero in stopping the Cuban Assassin from getting away with kidnap. And what else will we see?
Jeremy Borash: Our big main event of the evening will see Test face off with the Junkyard Dog!
Ed Whalen: Wow! That’s bound to be an explosive match! I can’t wait to see the JYD taking on Test. Fans, there’s a whole lot more action on tap for you tonight. However, we’re kick things off with the #1 contender, “Marvelous” Marc Mero, who is in action against Calgary, Alberta, Canada’s Lance Storm.
VS. w/
Lance Storm vs. “Marvelous” Marc Mero w/ Candice Michelle
The match begins with Storm getting the better of Mero in multiple lock up and grappling sequences. Storm keeps bringing Mero to the mat and locks various holds on him until Mero can crawl to the ropes or plain old break them himself and scramble away. Each time that he does this, Mero complains and makes false accusations about illegal tactics from Storm. He stalls as much as he can before locking up again, but he can never gain an advantage. After several failed attempts to get the advantage and several failed attempts to get inside of Storm’s head, Mero decides that he’s had enough. Another rope break off of an armbar and head scissors combo, and Mero leaves the ring. He calls on Candice Michelle and decides to leave. The #1 contender to the International Heavyweight Championship has apparently had enough and can’t be bothered to continue the match. Mero walks away slowly. He faces the ring while he’s shouting at Storm about how he couldn’t beat him even if he remained in the match when…
… suddenly he is grabbed from behind by the International Heavyweight Champion, Dean Malenko, who runs him back to the ring and tosses him in. Mero pleads with Storm not to attack, but he does. Storm takes the fight to him. Meanwhile, Candice Michelle is in hysterics over what has just happened. Storm is in cruise control, hitting Mero with everything he’s got. He finishes a long rally with a superkick and then applies the sharpshooter. Candice Michelle jumps into the ring, grabs the referee by the shirt collar and forces him to hear her complaints about Malenko. As a result, the referee doesn’t see Mero tapping out to the sharpshooter. Storm should have this match won, but Candice Michelle is really giving the referee an earful and won’t let his attention return to the match. Then, from seemingly out of nowhere, Storm receives a missile dropkick from a mysterious masked figure, freeing Mero from the sharpshooter.
The masked assailant puts the boots to Storm and then puts him in the sharpshooter! After about 20 seconds, he relinquishes the hold and exits the ring just as quickly as he entered it. Purely by coincidence, Candice Michelle decides to give up her protest and leave the ring. Meanwhile, Mero picks up Storm and gives him the TKO. Then, he climbs the turnbuckle and lands the Marvelocity! He hooks the leg and picks up the win.
Official Decision: “Marvelous” Marc Mero wins by pinfall

VS.
“Dastardly” Danny Doring & Roadkill vs. Team Canada
Petey Williams & Eric Young are in command of this match pretty much from beginning to end. Doring & Roadkill get a few moves in, but can’t keep up with their much faster opponents. Williams and Young use their speed and superior athleticism to their advantage to always stay two steps ahead of Doring and Roadkill. The match ends after about four and a half minutes, when Williams gives Doring the Canadian Destroyer and pins him for the victory.
Official Decision: Team Canada wins by pinfall
As Williams and Young are having their hands raised in victory, the North American Tag Team Champions, Montréal Mafia, rush to the ring and attack them from behind. Frenchy Martin is there to direct traffic. The extended beat down of their upcoming PRIMETIME LIVE opponents leaves the ring and ends with Mad Dog Vachon piledriving Young on the floor and Dino Bravo powerbombing Williams through a table at ringside. Frenchy Martin takes the microphone and tells them that the biggest mistake of their lives was when they competed in a #1 contender’s match and won it, because now they will have to face the Montréal Mafia in two weeks’ time and lose – badly! He tells them that if what just happened to them is way too much for them to handle, then they should strongly consider conceding their title shot in two weeks. He urges them to think long and hard about it. Martin and the champs admire their handiwork for a few moments before leaving.
*Commercial Break 2*
Leo Burke comes out to the ring and takes a microphone. He’s here to say that he’s had enough of the likes of “Marvelous” Marc Mero and Test. He’s now on a mission to not only beat each of them in a wrestling match, but to thoroughly embarrass the both of them. Since Mero picked up the pinfall over him in the #1 contender’s match, he’s going to concentrate all of his energy on getting back at the man who isn’t busy at PRIMETIME LIVE and who interfered in the match to cost him his opportunity to face Dean Malenko in the title bout at PRIMETIME LIVE. Of course, he’s talking about Test.
Burke mentions how Test has been running his mouth off about how he’s so much better than the rest of the competition in this “bargain basement” of professional wrestling ever since the rebirth of AGPW. However, Burke notes that you’re only as good as your teacher allows you to be. And then he drops a ‘pipe bomb’ – Leo Burke trained Test to become a professional wrestler. Burke says that he is unhappy that his former student has succumbed to believing in his own hype. Burke, for one, is unfazed by all of the hype Test has over the years and claims that his training is responsible for a lot of that hype. Burke says that there is no doubt in his mind that the student has not surpassed his teacher and he seeks to prove it at PRIMETIME LIVE. However, he doesn’t want to just prove that he’s better than his former student rather he wants to put Test back in his place by embarrassing him in dramatic fashion by defeating Test in a 2 Out of 3 Falls Match, by a score of 2-0!
The challenge is set: Leo Burke vs. Test in a 2 out of 3 falls match at PRIMETIME LIVE!
Lance Storm enters Chief Morley’s office and demands to know who that caped, masked man was who cost him his match, tonight. Morley tells him that he doesn’t know and says that seeing him attack Storm is the first he’s ever seen of the man. He tells Storm that he’s notified security to be on the lookout for him and that he’s ordered the AGPW road agents to look into the matter and to gather intelligence so that they might be able to figure out whom that caped, masked man was. Storm tells Morley to call him as soon as he finds out because he wants to get even with him and warns him that he’s calling the caped, masked man out, next week!
*Commercial Break 3*
SoCal Val is with “Marvelous” Marc Mero and his personal trainer, Candice Michelle, who talks about how great Mero was in his victory against Lance Storm. Then, both she and Mero sling dirt and Dean Malenko and promise to get even with him before Mero even steps foot in the ring against Malenko at PRIMETIME LIVE. By the way, they promise that there will be a new International Heavyweight Champion crowned on September 21 and that the new champion will be nothing short of marvelous!
VS. w/
Cuban Assassin Jr. vs. Chris Candido w/ Sunny
Two weeks ago, Candido faced CAJr’s father and the match ended when CAJr interfered on behalf of his father, who then tried to abduct Sunny. Candido is out to seek revenge. He and CAJr start out with a full on battle of fisticuffs, which favours the Cuban. He gets the better of the initial exchange, but Candido is determined and just keeps coming back at him for more of a fight. As a result, CAJr can’t slow down the pace, and he begins to tire out, allowing Candido to start to take control with a barrage of offense. Candido is on a role and gets a few near falls. He nails the New Jersey Jam, but much to everyone’s surprise, CAJr kicks out. So, Candido signals that he’s going to finish him off and takes CAJr to the corner to get ready for the Blonde Bombshell powerbomb off the turnbuckle. However, Candido stops during the set up of the move, as he sees the elder Cuban Assassin sneak up from behind Sunny and pull her hair. Candido runs over and takes CASr out with a baseball slide. He starts kicking and punching him, repeatedly. However, the assault ends with CAJr hitting him with a chair across the back!
Official Decision: Chris Candido wins by disqualification
Both Assassins continue the assault until Chris Hero comes down to help Candido out of his bind. He cracks a chair over CASr’s skull, then superkicks CAJr right in the kisser! CASr gets back up and receives a knockout blow in the form of the Hangman’s Elbow! Hero grabs CAJr and throws him into the ringpost and then gives him a Hangman’s Elbow to knock him out cold. Hero and Sunny help Candido to his feet and leave the ringside area as we cut to commercial.
*Commercial Break 4*
VS.
Bo Dallas vs. “Killer” Karl Krupp
This match gets started with Dallas using his speed to avoid locking up with the powerful brawler and taking the fight to him with an offensive attack that relies on running around the ring and bouncing off of the ropes to take Krupp down with clotheslines, flying forearms and other such stuff. He knocks Krupp off of his feet several times, and each time he takes longer to get up. When Krupp finally seems to not be able to get up in a timely fashion, Dallas slows the pace down by transitioning into a mat based game. Krupp eventually powers his way up and breaks up a headlock with some elbows to the abdomen. Krupp goes for a whip, but Dallas reverses it and then goes for a dropkick, but Krupp clings to the ropes. Dallas gets up and Krupp nails him with a vicious running clothesline. Krupp puts the boots to him. The Killer doesn’t do anything fancy in there. He likes to mostly punch and kick. He takes his opponent into the corner and starts peppering him with powerful blows. Krupp burns the bridge of his nose by running Dallas’ face along the top rope and then starts choking him out on the rope. The ref forces him to break the illegal hold. Krupp gives him a back rake and then lifts him up for a side belly-to-back suplex. He goes for the first pinfall attempt of the match, but Dallas kicks out. Krupp continues to punish him with many more moves, but Dallas begins to mount a comeback after reversing a back bodydrop attempt into a sunset flip. Dallas is building momentum until he climbs up to the middle turnbuckle and goes for a diving knee drop that Krupp avoids. When they both get up, Krupp blocks some punch attempts and then goes for the Iron Claw. Dallas ducks it and gets a waistlock on him. He tries to lift Krupp, but can’t take him down. Krupp elbows him in the side of the head a few times to break it up. He grabs Dallas and tosses him out of the ring. Krupp drops Dallas onto the guardrail, whips him into the ringsteps, and punches and kicks him. The referee urges Krupp to take the match back into the ring, but he shows no desire to come back into the ring. As a result, the match ends in a double countout. However, Krupp is unfazed by the ringing of the bell or the announcement of the double countout. He continues to attack Dallas. He pulls apart the ringsteps and repeatedly drops them into Dallas’ torso, doing damage to his ribs and back.
This continues until the Junkyard Dog arrives on the scene to save his partner from the assault. He really takes it to Krupp all around ringside until officials and security personnel can separate them.
Official Decision: The match ends in a double countout
*Commercial Break 5*
We return from the commercial to find Chris Candido and Sunny in their dressing room. Candido is just ending a phone conversation and hangs up. Sunny asks who it was and Candido tells her than it was Chief Morley. He’s just informed Candido that he will team with Chris Hero in a tag team match against the Cuban Assassins at PRIMETIME LIVE. Sunny doesn’t like the pairing and expresses her doubts about trusting Hero. He gave her a bad vibe a few weeks ago when they first met. Candido reminds her that Hero has clarified that he meant no disrespect by the comment and that he’s been around to help him out ever since. She still thinks they need to keep a watchful eye on him in that match. Then, Candido tells her that he thinks she’s all wrong about the guy and questions why she would worry about the intentions of man who went of his way to stop the Assassins from kidnapping her last week?
VS.
Ezekiel Jackson vs. Lance Cade
Trevor Murdoch joins Ed Whalen and Jeremy Borash at the broadcast position. He’s brought a 6-pack of beer with him. Whalen is thankful that the southern truck driver didn’t feel the need to bring a piss jug with him like he did the previous time he joined them on commentary. The match starts with Cade using his quickness to build an early advantage. However, Jackson uses his brute strength to fight his way back into the contest and do a lot of damage with some big power moves. Jackson tries to end the match with some pinfall attempts, but Cade kicks out of them. Cade regains control when Jackson goes for an avalanche splash. Cade moves, Jackson hits the turnbuckle, then Cade nails him with a superkick. He’s slow to make the pin, which allows Jackson enough time to recover and kick out in time. Cade brings Jackson to his feet and tries to suplex the big man, but Jackson won’t come off the ground. He lifts Cade high into the air and drops him with a falling forward suplex. Jackson pins and Cade barely kicks out. Murdoch leaves the commentary team and runs down the entrance aisle, as Jackson signals that he’s going to end it. He picks up Cade to go for the torture rack, but sees Murdoch climbing onto the apron. He leaves Cade alone and goes over to confront Murdoch who slaps him in the face and hops off of the ring apron. Jackson decides to follow him outside and chases him off. When he comes back to the ring, Cade catches him off guard with a small package, but he kicks out. Cade goes for another superkick, but Jackson catches his foot and just throws him to the mat. He gets up and Jackson drops him with a hard running clothesline. Jackson lets him get up and then he gives the Book of Ezekiel and pins him for the win.
Official Decision: Ezekiel Jackson wins by pinfall

*Commercial Break 6*
We go backstage to find Lance Cade limping back to his dressing room. Trevor Murdoch walks up, with half of a 6-pack in his hand, and says he’s happy to find his partner. However, Cade isn’t happy to see Murdoch. He calls his partner chicken shit for running away from Ezekiel Jackson. Murdoch takes offense to that comment and initiates a shouting match with his partner as they argue about whether they could’ve handled the situation better to get Cade the win. In the end, Murdoch tells Cade off and storms out of the dressing room.
VS. w/
The Killer Bees vs. Magnus & Antonio Cesaro w/ Maryse Ouellet
This is a highly competitive contest with both teams displaying quite a bit of speed. The action is very fast paced. The Killer Bees have the advantage of working together as a strong unit with a lot of experience working together as a tandem. This helps them stay right in the thick of things, as Magnus and Cesaro are still a little rough around the corners as a pair. However, their raw talent and skill keeps them in the match and doesn’t let the Bees run away with this thing. The Bees make several quick tags to prevent Magnus and Cesaro from getting on a sustained roll. However, Magnus and Cesaro are just too talented to be denied. It takes them a long time, but they finally manage to isolate Jumpin’ Jim Brunzell and go to work on him. In the end, it is Maryse Ouellet’s clients that emerge victorious after Magnus takes B. Brian Blair out to the floor and Cesaro executes the Neutralizer on Brunzell to get the pinfall victory.
Official Decision: Magnus & Antonio Cesaro wins by pinfall
At the end of the match, Maryse raises Cesaro’s hand in victory. They look around for Magnus and finally see that he’s in the entrance aisle getting double teamed by Al Snow and Chavo Guerrero! Cesaro quickly runs out to try to help out his partner, but Chavo was ready for his arrival and takes him to the floor. This brawl settles nothing. Snow and Guerrero do not completely destroy Magnus and Cesaro, but they do at least send the message that they will not be pushed around. The blow off match to this feud will happen in two weeks at PRIMETIME LIVE!
*Commercial Break 7*
VS.
Junkyard Dog vs. Test
The match begins with Test trying to overpower the Junkyard Dog by locking up with him and trying to throw him to the mat, but JYD won’t leave his feet. He’s a big powerful dog, himself. They agree to perform a classic test of strength spot. They battle back-and-forth, each man taking the advantage, but neither man falling to his knees. Test has the advantage, but JYD starts to shift it back to him, so Test kicks him in the abdomen to break the hold and clubs him down to his knees with some stiff forearms shots to the back of his neck and upper back. Test with a big vertical suplex and an early pinfall attempt that is unsuccessful. Test continues the offensive attack, but JYD gets back into it after getting whipped into the corner. He kicks Test in the face as he charges in for a follow up. Test tries to attack again, but JYD uses his hard cranium to knock him down with some headbutts. JYD takes control of the bout for a little bit, until he sets up for a back bodydrop. Test counters it with a knee lift to the face and then a clothesline to take him to the mat. Test pins, but JYD kicks out. Test picks him up and gives him a backbreaker. He climbs the turnbuckle and goes for an elbow drop, but JYD rolls out of the way. They both get up and get right into a fist fight. Test gets the better of the exchange and goes for a whip, but it is reversed and Test ends up on the receiving end of a big powerslam! A pinfall attempt gets a long 2-count. JYD sends Test into the corner. He mounts the middle rope and punches him ten times before coming down and stomping a mud hole into him. JYD signals that he’s ready to finish the match. He scoops up Test to go for the Thump, but Test slips out the back and shoves JYD towards the corner, resulting in the referee getting sandwiched between JYD and the turnbuckle. When JYD turns around, Test goes for the big boot, but he manages to duck it. Test turns around and runs into a spinebuster! JYD covers, but the referee is out of it. JYD gets up to check on the referee and gets attacked from behind by “Killer” Karl Krupp.
He hammers away at JYD and then throws him out of the ring. Krupp follows him out and tries to smash his face off of the ringsteps, but JYD blocks it, elbows Krupp and slams his face on the ringsteps. Now, JYD starts to throw punches at him, but he doesn’t get very far on the comeback trail, as Test comes out and hits him in the back with a chair! With JYD down on the floor, Test and Krupp both put the boots to him until Leo Burke arrives!
Burke grabs Krupp from behind, swings him around and throws him head first into the ringsteps. Test tries to hit him, but Burke blocks it, then kicks him and gives him an overhead belly-to-belly suplex! Burke gets down on the mat and slaps a sleeper hold on Test, along with some leg scissors around his waist so that he can’t get out of it. Krupp gets up and seeks revenge, but JYD cuts him off and they brawl away from Burke and Test. The referee gets up, looks around ringside and decides to call the match in no one’s favour. This one ends in a stalemate. The referee signals for help to break things up as we go off the air.
Official Decision: No contest
