DOUBLE DOWN PPV Hi guys.
Chip Chimney is here on site at the Broken City Slaughtahouse to bring you exclusive access to the biggest event of October 2010. BCCW presents: "DOUBLE DOWN".
MSD's Mash-Up Wrestling experiment continues with what has been promised to be the most exciting 3 hours of wall-to-wall action you will see all month. Tonight, historical factions clash and new kingdoms are forged. Bearers of the old guard clash with bastards from the new school in a quest to shape wrestling's future. Tonight, we celebrate the FAD of professional wrestling. Weed out the fakers from the makers, and knock 'em all down with the movers and shakers. Do the men who compete in BCCW have what takes to stay the mission course at all necessary cost? There will be casualties.
The Gold Dust Trio Inc (Mister Mondt, Ed "Strangler" Lewis & The Grand Wizard) have sprung BCCW from the earth with the sole purpose of monopolizing and capitalizing on the biggest ongoing trend in modern pro wrestling history: the MMA hybrid. By standing at the forefront and disposing all challengers to their throne, they have essentially "unionized" the industry by becoming the major figure head and promotional sports agency. You're either signed with them, or you ain't doing business. Their biggest potential threat to their empire was alleviated upon the big corporate merger, when Gold Dust Trio Inc went into business with the McMahon Junior Mafia (and East Coast don Triple H). Now all that remains, are a few figures biting at their heels and hoping to topple the monolith. Amongst them - the "Legends Guild", comprised of Golden Era heroes and saviors Bruno Sammartino & Pedro Morales. With pocket change-jangling support from the original McMahon Mafia (similar to the Black Handers, their powers have waned over the years), they attempt once more to make a preemptive strike at "DOUBLE DOWN" when the Guild battles Gold Dust Trio Inc representatives Triple H and Ed "Strangler" Lewis. The ramifications for both sides can be deadly.
Meanwhile, the further monopolization of the "Death Match" genre of pro wrestling (arguably it's most powerful, yet definitely it's most repulsive niche) continues with Gold Dust Trio Inc's "Manager of the Century" The Grand Wizard. By corralling the services of notorious madmen Abdullah the Butcher - and now Bruiser Brody - TGW attempts to put the Gold Dust Trio Inc brand on bloodshed. Tonight they are in their element, as the undersized (yet overtly skilled combat savants) team of Masahiko Kimura and Evan Bourne have been forced to do battle in a no holds barred/falls count anywhere match. Can TGW make Gold Dust Trio Inc's candle burn brighter by extinguishing the Shooters Club flame?
Finally, can the greatest threat to the Gold Dust Trio Inc come from within? Unified Champion John Cena refuses to relinquish his title or diminish the Cenation brand - ESPECIALLY in his home state of Money Massachusetts. So his one man crusade continues. But tonight, he is joined by his own allies in Cenation in a brutal War Games exhibition against Gold Dust Trio Inc and Diamond Dynasty representatives.
Cena brings along old rival Mil Mascaras, the newly-minted lone wolf Ted Dibiase Jr (recently betrayed by his Diamond Dynasty peers and ex-girlfriend Maryse) and the hardcore savior MESSIAH. A rag-tag, motley crew to be sure. But Cena has promised that each mans individual desire to see the Inc fold will be enough to propel them into a victorious frenzy. Meanwhile, Diamond Dynasty head honcho Nature Boy Buddy Rogers captains a team that includes Million $$$ Champion Wade Barrett, Undisputed Champion Desmond Wolfe and the dangerous and deadly Mister Mondt himself - his first time ever stepping foot in a BCCW ring. But his legend far precedes him. It is entirely possible for Cena (or any one of his teammates for that matter) to suffer a permanent and debilitating injury from which they can be forced to resign from BCCW. ** DARK MATCH **
"The Flower Shop" w/ special guest Vic Grimes (w/ Trent Acid) featuring My press credentials got me into the show early, and I was backstage talking wrestling politics with the BCCW Tag Team champions the Trust Busters (Lou Thesz & Jack Swagger) during the pre-show dark segment. "Adorable" Adrian Adonis and his beautiful assistant Sammi Lane hosted an episode of The Flower Shop with Cannibal Cartel captain (and reigning BCCW Death Match champion) Vicious Vic Grimes and his cackling hyena sidekick Trent Acid. Basically talked alot of trash, bigging up his Cannibal Cartel while dissing New Jack and mock challenging him to a match tonight, knowing full well New Jack is currently locked up. Not bad for hype and it helped get the crowd involved in the show early. _________________________________________________________ 1) LEGENDS GUILD versus GOLD DUST TRIO INC versus 2) The Legends Guild (Sammartino & Morales) beat Triple H and Strangler Lewis (w/ TGW) by pinfall. The crowd was the most energetic I may have ever seen them. New Yawk Italians and Puerto Ricans from the old neighborhoods were blowing the roof off the entire building. Every time Triple H or Strangler Lewis took advantage, the crowd booed them mercilessly. And when Bruno or Pedro were in the ring the cheers for their every move were deafening. In the end, the adrenaline from the crowd propelled the Guild to victory when Strangler and Bruno went tumbling out of the ring in battle allowing Morales to trap Triple H in the Boston Crab. TGW attempted some ill-timed interference, and Triple H wound up eating his own sledgehammer to the face, courtesy of Morales. 3 seconds later and even TGW had to cup his ears as he rallied his men back to the locker room. The pop was explosive. _________________________________________________________ 2) POGO the CLOWN (w/ Serena) versus NECRO BUTCHER & LUKE GALLOWS versus 2) In a handicap tag match, the massive Pogo the Clown (w/ Serena) beat Necro Butcher and Luke Gallows by way of a mystery man's interference. Pogo started off well enough, catching Necro Butcher in a variety of crushing big-man moves. But when Gallows finally entered the match, the size advantage wasn't as pronounced. But Pogo still managed to toss around the disgraced former SES leader until the numbers advantage became too much. Even Serena's minuscule attempts at interference weren't enough to help her man capitalize. Finally, a masked man entered from under the ring (unbeknown to the ref who was sidelined by Gallows and Serena at ringside) and DDT's Necro Butcher viciously onto a barbed-wire steel chair. Pogo crawled over and got the victory. _________________________________________________________ 3) THE FABULOUS FREEBIRDS
versus
BOOGIE WOOGIE MAN, RYAN DANGERFIELD & HONKY TONK MAN versus Backstage there was a little commotion as the Freebirds (and Hayes in particular) had shown up drunk and belligerent, and almost missed their stage call. When they finally got to the ring, their intoxication mixed with the crowds bile toward them to produce a vehemently dangerous atmosphere. It was almost a relief to get the comedic styling of Honky Tonk man playing out in his Pink Cadillac with The Boogie Woogie Man and Ryan Dangerfield getting down beside him. Needless to say, the Freebirds were not pleased. Their beatings were relentless and remorseless, with Ryan Dangerfield taking the brunt of their attack. Boogie Woogie Man got some brief offense in against Hayes, and HTM teased a few guitar shots, but in the end both were crushed by the Freebirds before pounding out Dangerfield with a DWI for the pin. Fabulous Freebirds win by pinfall, and are immediately peppered with trash and debris. Security ushers them out while they continue to instigate and agitate the crowd. _________________________________________________________ I had gone for a bathroom break around this time, and found "Sick" Nick Mondo and Madman Pondo in the mens room holding little personal mirrors with white powdery residue on them. Not sure what that was. But it might have been allergy medicine because they kept rubbing their noses and sniffling alot. They both look wired, amped and excited to go. Meanwhile, BCCW officials were setting up the Steel Cage for our next match. 4) BLK MOBB versus PUBLIC ENEMY(Steel Cage) versus The BLK MOBB beat Public Enemy in a steel cage match. LOTS of exciting and damaging spots, involving tables, ladders and impressive leaps from the top of the cage. Grunge and Rocco held on in their reckless, free-falling style - but the BLK MOBB's teamwork and precision (despite recent showings of potential cracks forming in their alliance) overcame all. In the end (after Sabian and Rocco had battled free), Ruckus and Grunge battled high atop the cage to be the first man to escape and win the match for their team. They tussled in dramatic fashion, before Grunge actually propelled Ruckus off the cage! Unfortunately, he went the wrong way - crashing through a set of tables on the outside of the ring - therefore winning the match by being the second body from his team to reach the arena floor. BLK MOBB won the match, but Public Enemy chased them away before partying in the ring with fans as the Steel Cage was lifted and disassembled. _________________________________________________________ 5) MASAHIKO KIMURA & EVAN BOURNE versus BRUISER BRODY & ABDULLAH the BUTCHER (w/ TGW) versus Bruiser Brody and Abdullah the Butcher predictably beat Kimura and Bourne in a No Holds Barred/Falls Count Anywhere match. Exciting, creative spots arena-wide - with Bourne and Kimura's flexibility playing alot of important roles. From bouncing, flipping, running to being bent backward over guardrails. But the blood was intense (mostly from Abdullah and Brody themselves, who seemed intent on one-upping each other and bleeding the hardest). Kimura and Bourne put up a valiant fight (punctuated by a Bourne shooting star press from a balcony) before TGW's interference was the turning point. Kimura ate a Sudanese Meat Cleaver through a bunch of wooden pallets for the loss. And of course The Grand Wizard acted like stacking the deck, cheating and lying was a legitimate victory for his team and their cause. _________________________________________________________ John Cena was giving press backstage. Said he knows what to expect from Mascaras, is expecting big things from Dibiase and personally called on the Messiah himself for his Death Match expertise.
Meanwhile on the other side of the building, the Diamond Dynasty was giving a recorded interview. Buddy Rogers and new Million $$$ Champion Wade Barrett were flanked by their manager Bobby Heenan and valet Maryse. They touted their team as the best, reflected on their business relationship with Gold Dust Trio Inc and promised to make Ted Dibiase Jr pay for his sins. They've already taken his girl and his fathers championship, but they're not done with him yet. And Cena, that Unified Belt is coming back home to the Dynasty!!! 6) LIZZY BORDEN & ALOISIA the AMAZON versus SAMMI LANE & "ADORABLE" ADRIAN ADONIS versus ALEXXIS NEVAEH.... and TRISH STRATUS!!! versus versus Aloisia the Amazon & Lizzy Borden teamed up to compete against Sammi Lane and Adorable Adrian Adonis versus Alexxis Nevaeh and her mystery partner. If either team could defeat Alexxis and her partner, they would earn the #1 contender-ship for the World Women's Wrestling championship. Twas not to be, as Alexxis Nevaeah's mystery partner turned out to be muthaphuckking TRISH STRATUS and once again the roof was blown off the building! From there, it was paint by numbers as the exciting combo of Trish and Alexxis put on a clinic before dispatching of both other teams. Then, with massive crowd approval, Trish and Alexxis hugged and Trish respectfully challenged Alexxis to a title match. Alexxis gratefully agreed and both woman vowed to put on a performance for the ages. _________________________________________________________ 7) TRUSTBUSTERS versus CANNIBAL CARTEL(BCCW Tag Team Championship) versus The TrustBusters beat The Cannibal Cartel in a brutal, barbaric match for the BCCW Tag Team titles due to some unlikely interference. In the early portions, the Trust Busters continued their scientific dominance over the Cartel. They earned the first fall rather handily, after a crushing double suplex maneuver. But when things spilled outside, the pace picked up and suddenly Thesz and Swagger couldn't keep up with the high-octane, body propelling, break-neck pace. Swagger wound up on the receiving end of a cannonball dive from Madman Pondo off the entrance ramp through a table for the second pinfall of the match. Everything hung in the balance for the third fall, and the crowd picked up the intensity appropriately. The match brought a new edge out in Thesz and Swagger - a vicious, unrestrained meanstreak that we've yet to see from them in BCCW. When it seemed like they may seize back the upper hand, Cannibal Cartel captain and chief supplier Vic Grimes appeared on the scene with his sidekick Trent Acid. They helped arranged a few hardcore spots that seemed sure to put the nail in the coffin of the Trust Busters, when suddenly "Natural Born Killaz" blared through the sound system and muthaphuckkin NEW JACK was back on the scene! Both his ankles still has the cuffs on them, they had just clearly been sawed through in the middle. He absolutely brutalized Grimes and Acid in spectacular fashion, allowing Swagger to land a death-defying gut wrench powerbomb on Sick Nick Mondo through the burning table nearly two floors below them in the balcony. Yet, in true form, Thesz slapped an STF on Madman Pondo to get the squealing submission from him for the victory. And he didn't relinquish the hold for what seemed like ever. Trustbusters win and retain their BCCW Tag Team titles. New Jack fled back into the bowels of Broken City after his attack on Grimes and the Cannibal Cartel. No doubt they will continue to swear vengeance. _________________________________________________________ Mister Mondt (in full wrestling gear) gave an interview and laid out the course of the evening. If (and he means "when") the Gold Dust Trio Inc/Diamond Dynasty team wins tonight - Cena will relinquish the Unified Title back to their camp. If Cena's team wins, Cena will finally get to challenge Desmond Wolfe for the right to call themselves the sole unified, undisputed champion of the wrestling UNIVERSE. Big time stakes here. MAIN EVENT
WAR GAMES!!! versus The War Games main event was amazing, arguably the greatest one ever produced. Shortly after the match went off the air, it was already earing rave reviews from the IWC. Here's one right now: quote: -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- WarGames. Buddy Rogers, Wade Barrett, Desmond Wolfe & Toots Mondt versus John Cena, Mil Mascaras, Ted Dibiase Jr and the MESSIAH. This is it -- the greatest WarGames, ever. The story: Everyone hates each others' guts. That's all you need to know. Big Wade Barrett and Ted Dibiase Jr start out. Lots of situations where a pinfall would usually happen to stress that there are no pinfalls. Dibiase Jr is bleeding two minutes in, just like everyone else in this match. An 11 year tradition continues here, as the heels win the coin toss. Rogers is next and Dibiase elbows them both before they inevitably destroy Dibiase. The overriding storyline of the match: When it's even odds, the faces are in command, but when the heels have one man up, the faces have no chance. Mil Mascaras comes in to make the save and slingshots Barrett into the cage THREE TIMES. No release. Wild stuff. Desmond Wolfe is in next and Mascaras is bleeding through his mask 10 seconds later. You like blood? This is the match for you. Incredibly hot crowd, they must've been distributing speed in the hot dog vendors or something. Messiah is in and just obliterates everyone with a steel chair. Mister Mondt is in and goes right after Messiah, and Rogers helps out by giving the most blatant ballshot you'll ever see. Then Rogers and Barrett give Dibiase *two* spike piledrivers in a row. Brutal. Even the bad wrestlers look good because they can punch and kick away and it's totally in context. Cena comes in, wearing a spiked gauntlet around the Nexus armband he got on RAW from Barrett, and starts jamming it into Mondts eye. Then Mascaras & Messiah corner Desmond 2-on-1 and just absolutely murder him for about three minutes until he finally surrenders to the end the whole thing. A bloody, brutal classic. *****
