AEW Dynamite - Nov. 2, 2022
The camera focuses on the cheering crowd, then quickly switches backstage as a camera is running to catch up to Samoa Joe and Jon Moxley fighting in the parking lot. Mox whips Joe into the side of a van, denting the door. Joe comes back with a clothesline, and tosses Mox face first into a pillar. Joe hits a Ura-Nage, tossing Mox through a car windshield! Before he can continue the assault, security comes to wave Joe off, while medics attend to Mox.

Cody Rhodes’ music hits, and he comes to the ring with the championship to a loud ovation. He stands in the middle of the ring and holds the belt high over his head before grabbing a mic. “This is dedicated to everyone who believed in me. To all of the fans around the world, and to my wife and little girl. My dad and my brother. I couldn’t have done this without all of your support. I also couldn’t have done this without Matt Riddle, Jeff Cobb, Mick Foley and the Young Bucks having my back last week. Don’t get me wrong — I earned this championship — but those five men ensured that I had a level playing field. I won’t let any of you down.”

Match 1 - Jurassic Express (4-5) vs. American Wolves (6-5)
The Express picks up the win when Jungle Boy locks in the Snare Trap on Eddie Edwards at 8:23, following miscommunication from the Wolves that saw Edwards accidentally superkick Richards off the apron.

The “I’m Comin’” hype video shows again, this time with a date: Nov. 24, 2022.

Raven is backstage walking with Hook, apologizing for last week and Hook getting sprayed with Black’s mist. “Stick with me, Hook, and we’ll go places. I’ll open your eyes to new possibilities.”
Hook stares, dead-eyed, back at Raven. “I…I think my eyes are wide open.”
Raven looks worried as Hook walks off.
—
Match 2 - Madison Rayne (2-1) vs. Riho (6-5)
Rayne wins in 6:17 with the Rayne Drop following distraction from Velvet Sky and Angelina Love.

Beth Phoenix comes out to the ring, holding the stolen UWA Women’s Championship. “I have been sidelined in the world of wrestling for far too long. Last week, I decided to do something about it. I know that this championship isn’t mine, yet. But it will be. Sasha Banks, if you’re back there, all you have to do is come out here and face me in the ring, and I’ll give you back your championship.”
Banks comes out to the ring and stands nose to nose with Phoenix. Before they can speak, Jade Cargill’s music hits, and out walks the undefeated AEW Women’s Champion.
Jade - “Look at the two of you standing there in the ring. You think you can look past me? Beth Phoenix, I respect you a lot. That isn’t a sentiment I throw around lightly. But you have been an inspiration to me. You overpower women the same way I do. Hell, I even kind of admire the way you made your AEW debut last week. The problem is that it interfered with my own personal quest to become the ultimate women’s champion. And for that, you will pay.” Cargill stands there with her arms crossed, looking on.
Beth - “Unfortunately, Jade, I think you’ve got your hands full with Paige VanZant right now. I’m going to step in line to face…” Banks throws a forearm to Beth’s face and the brawl is on! They spill out of the ring, and security responds quickly to pull them apart. Beth still has the UWA Championship as she walks to the back with a smirk on her face. She gets up to the stage, where she and Jade stare down before we cut to commercial.
—
Match 3 - Sammy Guevara (10-4) w/ Tay Melo vs. Minoru Suzuki (0-0)
Suzuki is in AEW for just one night, and is matching up with Guevara. Suzuki tries keeping Guevara grounded, while the younger star pushes the pace. Guevara hit a Spanish Fly on Suzuki for a quick one-count. Suzuki slowed things down with the Manji-gatame (Octopus hold) and a heel hook. Later in the match, he hit a Gotch Piledriver and went for the pinfall, but Tay Melo distracted the referee.
Guevara pulls off the win with the GTH after a hard-hitting 17-minute match.

The Apex comes out to the ring, and they all look angry. JBL tells the crowd to sit down and shut up while the grown-ups are talking in the ring, which makes them boo louder. Jarrett grabs the mic - “Obviously, we are disappointed about our performance at Grand Slam. I’m going to go back after the AEW Championship as soon as I can, but we are first going to take care of the scum that is causing all of our issues.” He hands the mic to Bobby Roode, who calls out Matt Riddle and Jeff Cobb, who respond.
Roode - “You two keep sticking your noses in our business, and it’s time to end this once and for all. We’ve got five men. You’ve got two. If — and that’s a big if — you can find a few friends to assist you, let’s blow this whole thing away. No rules. Just mayhem.”
Riddle - “Let me check my calendar.” Riddle mimes flipping through a calendar and says, “it looks like we’ve got some space on the calendar at Full Gear. Pencil it in, boys! The Chosen Bros and 3 Chosen Friends against The Apex in a Stadium Stampede match!”
Shawn Spears grabs the mic - “I don’t want to wait until then to get my hands on one of you. I don’t care who it is - I want someone in this ring next week. And good luck finding three hapless fools who want to be on the losing end of whatever the hell a Stadium Stampede match is.”
—
Match 4 - The Acclaimed (2-3) vs. The Butcher and the Blade (2-7) w/ Malakai Black
The Acclaimed wins when Max Caster hits the Mic Drop on The Blade at 4:46. After the match, Black looks angry and berates the tag team.
—
Paige VanZant is backstage with Ronda Rousey, talking strategy for beating Cargill at Full Gear. Rousey says, “She’s distracted. You’ve got the chance of a lifetime here. Take advantage.”
—
Jake Hager is out to the ring with his newly won All-Atlantic Championship and a big smile. “I told all of you that I could do it. If you give Jake Hager just a little bit of preparation time, he is all but unstoppable. I have defeated Samoa Joe, Jon Moxley and, now, Gable Steveson. This is officially the Jake Hager Era.” Gable Steveson’s music interrupts him.
Steveson - “Before you get too far ahead of yourself, I’m going to stop you. The way I see it, I’ve beaten you once and you’ve beaten me once. I’m a man - I can handle a loss. But I also think I’ve earned a shot at regaining the title.”
Hager - “Part of me wants to move on, but you know what? You’re right. You can have another shot. At Full Gear. But it’s your only shot as long as I have this belt.” Steveson nods as we head to commercial.
—
Match 5 - Dean Malenko (2-9) w/ Peter Avalon vs. Billy Kidman (3-6) w/ Malakai Black
Kidman defeated Malenko with the Seven Year Itch at 9:02. Malenko and Avalon argued after the match, but things calmed down and they went to the back. Black grabbed a mic.
Black - “This is a message for Hook. I know that your eyes have now been opened. You can see here, tonight, what my tutelage is worth. When you get tired of seeking the guidance of someone trying to cling to past glory, you are welcome to join the House of Black.”
—
Alexa Bliss is backstage with Riho and Serena Deeb, chatting and hanging out. The lights flicker and Bliss has a nosebleed. Riho and Deeb ask what’s going on with her, and Bliss freaks out and leaves the room.
—
The Outsiders head to the ring. After Scott Hall’s “Hey Yo” he turns his attention to the Steiners.
Hall - “Rick and Scott, we go way, way back. When we came to All Elite Wrestling, we knew we would eventually have to come face-to-face with our old enemies. The two of you talk about legacies. Well let me remind you of one of your own legacies when Scott turned on Rick to join the New World Order. So you have to ask yourself, Rick: Can you trust your brother? Survey says? Nope.”
—
Main Event - Shelton Benjamin and Cedric Alexander (1-0) vs. Los Parks (5-4) w/ Cesar Duran
Brian Cage is on commentary, as Taz and Coach ask him about his preparations for Full Gear. He says he’s ready to go and prove that he is the present and future of this business. Cody Rhodes’ reign will be a flash in the pan.
Los Parks and Benjamin & Alexander have a fast-paced barnburner of a match. Alexander hits a roundhouse on Park Jr., while Benjamin T-Bone Suplexes Park Sr. Later in the match, Duran is arguing with the ref on the apron, while Park Sr. goes for a spear on Benjamin, who has a bat in his hand! Benjamin smacks Park Sr. with the bat, then rolls it out of the ring, while Duran hops down. Alexander tags in and hits the Overtime (frog splash) for the win in 12:32.
After the match, Duran checks on Park Sr. as Park Jr. confronts him. Duran apologizes for the miscommunication. And as Jr. checks on Sr., Duran hits him with a low blow! Cage, Benjamin and Anderson hit the ring and clear Los Parks out of it, while Duran raises their arms and has a big smile. End of show.
