** PPV!! ** Broken City Championship Wrestling by MadStepDadproudly presents:MBV5!!!Live from Philadelphia PA (aka "Killadelphia")
The City of Brotherly Love!!w/ musical accompaniment by WIZ KHALIFA (2015)!! Ringside Commentators Gordon Solie & Matt StrikerBackstage Correspondent & Post-fight interviewer: Renee YoungPlus! Special Host for the Event (debuting in BCCW) Rick "the Model" Martel!!** Cut to video package, pyro, screaming fans & hype! ** ____________________________________________________________** BCCW 6-Man Tag Team titles **WYATT FAMILY vs. N.O.D. MILITIA (w/ Farooq) vs. Anti-"New Day" faction meets classic Nation of Domination, with a bit of D-Von's black preacher semantics thrown in. That's the NOD Militia in BCCW. Wyatt Family are just as bizarre and uncouth as ever, but because of who they have been programmed against recently (first the mighty Russians, now the NOD militants) they have become babyfaces by default. The "fireflies" have grown in number since Bray's transformation, but it's all just a sickly sweet version of Jim Jones electric kool-aid. The other shoe is sure to drop. Fascinating 6-man encounter reminiscent of the WM13 Gangfight-meets-Night of Champions 2014 (from Boston). Much like in Boston that night, the Wyatts/Militia are given 10+ minutes to open the PPV broadcast proper and hammer their points home. Wild brawl through the stands that has the bloodthirsty Philadelphia crowd screaming and chanting! Farooq remains the most dominant & physical single threat, but in the end new "American Psycho"-brand Wyatt Family retain their tag-team championship (with a Sister Abigail to Kofi Kingston in the ring). Farooq hammers Bray Wyatt after the match (before he can give his victory promo), and the brawl continues until security intervenes to break it up! Winners: WYATT FAMILY** CUT TO VIDEO RECAP ** ** Backstage Interlude **Renee Young interview with Commissioner MVP. The Montreal Mafia already owns the HW & MW straps, but won't be satisfied until a complete championship monopoly is in order! Tonight the TV title will be their stepping-stone to ratings supremacy! Hail Canada!** CUT TO VIDEO RECAP (Rise of Montreal Mafia / intersected with the increasingly selfish demands Commissioner MVP has extracted from his own associates, particularly Bobby Lashley - who was forced to relinquish his BCCW HW strap for a shot at the World title ** ____________________________________________________________BOBBY LASHLEY (2015) vs. FRANK SEXTON (1945) (Heavyweight Bout) versus Blaster Lashley continues his role as bad-ass "tweener" teetering on the edge of a face turn. Frank Sexton is the ever-popular contender whose technical expertise & roughhouse style perfectly counters Lashley's MMA pedigree. A true clash of styles/ages/genres ensues, that could only be Mash-Up Wrestling. Take one part Frank Mir vs Bigfoot mixed with one part Henderson vs Thatcher from UFC Fight Night on Valentines Day, and strain that through the lens of WWE Fastlane 2015. Add a dash of Cage's rise through Lucha Underground with a sprinkle of golden age "head-vices" from Sexton's 1945-1949 AWA World title reign. Season with choice cuts from the "Beat Down Clan" in TNA. Top it off with a "Sedalia Cyclone" Giant Swing meeting a Running Powerslam from 2015, and you will get a virtual approximation of this next encounter. If Bobby Lashley is "Brock Lesnar-lite", then "Powerhouse" Frank Sexton is the Mash-Up version of "Frank Mir meets Roman Reigns" (with Sexton's "Sedalia Cyclone" equivalent to a superman punch/giant spear or Cesaro's big swing). For another modern day comparison, Frank Sexton is TNA Bobby Roode 2015 if he were a much huskier American powerlifter instead. Lashley impresses with feats of strength like his delayed vertical suplex, but Sexton strikes back with hiptosses, headvices and a crossface attempt. Back and forth they go, with each man getting a chance to showcase his wares. Neckbreaker. Back bodydrop. Spinebuster. Bobby Lashley even comes up bleeding from the mouth hardway from this stiff battle. At one point, Lashley's stablemate Kenny King comes out to "observe" the bout (and no doubt cash a PPV check), but his appearance is offset by Frank Sexton's "Boston Strongmen" camp, Frank Scarpa & Tommaso Ciampa! They wind up chasing Kenny King clear out of the building! Fans roar their approval in Philly! In the end, Lashley powers out of Sexton's last headvice attempt, and backs suplexes him on his brain - nearly folding him half! Both men are visibly-winded at this point, but Lashley recovers enough to telegraph a thunderous *SPEAR* to Frank Sexton in the center of the ring! 1! 2! 3! Lashley has won the bout, but Frank Sexton (the sturdy warhorse who never gives up; the Jack Swagger with a heart) continues to win the minds of the fans with his performance. Standing ovation in defeat, so much that Lashley refuses a postfight interview with Renee Young (though he comes tantalizing close to a handshake of mutual respect with Sexton). Instead, both men part ways with hard stares and mixed emotions. Winner: BOBBY LASHLEY** CUT TO VIDEO RECAP/ Commentator Summary / Promo from Flyweight champion Adam Cole & valet Sable ** ** BACKSTAGE INTERLUDE **
Bobby Lashley is packing his gear up after victory and leaving the building. His stablemates Kenny King (irate over Lashley not "protecting" him against the Boston Strongmen earlier) and Commissioner MVP are shocked and disrespected that Lashley is not staying to support Commissioner MVP's title match! Especially after the Mafia *made* Bobby Lashley into a multi-time champion! Lashley only stares daggers through them and continues his exit. Blaster Lashley has left the building!** CUT TO VIDEO PACKAGE ** ____________________________________________________________ADAM COLE & SABLE vs. DON EAGLE & TAELER HENDRIX (MBV Mixed Tag-Team Bout) versus Traditional mixed-tag team bout that has been a highlight of this event since inception. Originally scheduled to be the blow-off match in the Eagle/Hendrix vs. BLKOut feud, it was compromised when SWB & his real-life girlfriend April Hunter were involved in a Ray Rice-like incident. SWB was promptly released, BLKOut was disbanded, and FW Champion Adam Cole & his cougar valet Sable were hastily inserted into this match instead. Don Eagle & his valet have their own domestic dispute issues, with the hot-blooded Warchief becoming increasingly over-protective (ala Savage/Elizabeth circa 1986ish). Other incidents have resulted (see BCCW TV Episode #58: Love & War). Smart fans are turning against him in droves and this match symbolizes his descent into full-blown heel. Adam Cole on the other hand, continues his rocket-ship rise to the moon. In Mash-Up cannon, he plied his trade under the radar before getting his big break in the AWA (with a TV title reign to boot). Now he's Flyweight champion in BCCW and has the beautiful Sable by his side. Together they are an expert heel tandem, who still have their own fan cheering section. Dolph Ziggler/AJ Lee 2013-style. Buzz has been building about Adam Cole's new "Mount Rushmore of Fantasy-wrestling" concept, and the return of the Flyweight "Best of the Best" tournament. Both opponents will undoubtedly have a part in that tournament, but it is the addition of the ladies tonight that decides the finish. Don Eagle does not like his valet getting bigger crowd reactions then him (at one point almost threatening to *strike* his valet himself!), while Sable dominates young Taeler in the ring. In the end, a lowblow from Sable (to Eagle) allows Adam Cole to superkick Taeler behind the refs back! BAM! One "Sable Bomb" later from the cougar, and Taeler is finished for good! Winners: ADAM COLE & SABLE** CUT TO VIDEO RECAP / Commentator summary (focusing on full-blown heel antics of Warchief Don Eagle ** ** CUT BACKSTAGE ** During a backstage interview with Renee Young & Adam Cole, there is a humorous interlude of MBV5 Host Rick "the Model" Martel trying to pick up Sable! She doesn't outright reject his advances, and Cole is irate over being ignored. Eventually Martel filters out after kissing her hand and giving her a rose. But not before the Model gives a "little boys can't please a woman like a real man" punchline that elicits hilarious facial expressions from Cole, Sable & Young! Cole grabs the rose from Sable and gets pricked! Ouch! Back to you, Gordon & Matt!** CUT TO RING ** ____________________________________________________________

SHEAMUS vs. MANKIND (Boiler Room Brawl) versus After Cactus Jack hit a wall in his feud with Sheamus, Mankind emerged to pick up the battle. Sheamus may have won at New Years Revolution 2015, but he returns the favor tonight. Classic WWF-styled Attitude brawl, with dark foreboding camera angles, and lots of clanging-and-banging bumps. Shades of Summerslam 1996 meets Money-in-the-Bank 2013, as Mankind (the Mash-Up fan favorite in this encounter) comes out victorious, and the Heel bully Sheamus comes out accidentally injured (hematoma on his left thigh after being thrown into a horizontal ladder & a torn labrum in his shoulder). He will miss some action in recovery. In the meantime, Mankind rebounds with a strong win in a statement match and continues his quest to seek vengeance upon crooked Commissioner MVP & his Canadian regime! Winner: MANKIND** CUT TO VIDEO RECAP / Music Video Promo **
** John Cena promo RE: his "Bodyslam Challenge" coming up next!! **____________________________________________________________JOHN CENA (2015) vs. ANDRE the GIANT (1986) (Body Slam Challenge) versus Cena & Andre had their WrestleMania 3-like encounter at NYR2015, that ended with a 2015 RAW J&J Security-like finish. Tonight is a swirling combination of events blending WM2 (bodyslam challenge) with Yokozuna's July 4th 1993 Intrepid challenge (in this case, Andre is the immovable giant foreign menace). Keeping the action more about exaggerated tests of strength and "sportz-entertainment", Cena and Andre build another credible performance. The usually-vitriolic Philly fanbase is too enthralled by nostalgia to completely ruin this bout, though they do get creative with their "LET'S GO CENA! / CENA SUCKS!" medleys. Meanwhile Andre's twin handlers (Harvey Wippleman & Dangerous Danny Davis) serve as henchmen accessories, keeping advantage in favor of their "Boss" in the Montreal Mafia. Cena gets to stamp them out in the end with a double-FUAA, but until then they wreak havoc. There is a climatic ref bump, after which Cena miraculously *hoists* Andre into the air with a huge bodyslam! The crowd pops as Cena sells the strain of the activity... only to realize the referee never witnessed it! That leads to the aforementioned house-cleaning on lackies Wippleman & Davis, as the ref stirs from his slumber. By the time he has awaken, Andre crushes Cena from behind with a giant headbutt - and *bodyslams John Cena* to the canvas! Right in full view of the referee! Ring the bell, we have a finish! Half the fans boo while the other half cheers! Cena shakes his head in disbelief and accepts the "loss" like a man, ready to resume this battle another day, another city. But for now, there is only one King Kong atop the Tower! And his name is the "Boss" ANDRE the GIANT!! Winner: ANDRE the GIANT** CUT TO RECAP ** ** Montreal Mafia promo (they are great conquerors) - Los Guerreros promo (rebels with a cause) ** ** VIDEO PACKAGE ** ____________________________________________________________FRENCH LION / KEVIN OWENS / CORPORATE KANE vs. LOS GUERREROS (debut!!) (6-Man Tag Team Bout) vs. French Lion is the BCCW Heavyweight champion, and Godfather of the Montreal Mafia. Kevin FN Owens is his capo, and reigning Middleweight Champion. Corporate Kane is their biggest, most deadly threat, aside from the "Boss" Andre the Giant. Imagine stifling Main Event scenes and glass ceilings. That is the perception that helped fuel in part the support for guys like Chris Benoit, Daniel Bryan and even Eddie Guerrero. The sense that they are just one big break from getting over huge, and the purists can help propel that ascension by just being loud enough. In BCCW they bring their signs, T-shirts, chants and slogans like its 2003 again and "EDDIE! EDDIE! EDDIE!" is the new "Yes!" chant. On the last BCCW Fight Night special, when Eddie unveiled a Dream-Team version of Los Guerreros (Art Barr & Chavo Guerrero), it could be argued he is at his creative apex. His title loss to French Lion at NYR2015 came tantalizingly close, until the "Authority" (in this case, the "Montreal Mafia") intervened. Tonight all of the odds are evened, and all that stands between Eddie & the title shot he desperately craves, is the war of two worlds. AAA versus AGPW. Mexican & Canadian flags adorn the arena tonight in Philadelphia in mutual support. Crowd is like a rowdy soccer stadium. Corporate Kane falls victim to a barrage of Los Guerrero strikes & dives to start, before MW Champion Kevin Owens goes to school on Art Barr (ala his manhandling of El Generico in years past). The French Lion stretches Chavo but can't get the submission - and Eddie stymies the HW champion on every interlude, in & out of the ring (infuriating the Montreal Mafia Godfather to no end). Commentators reference the HW Bout between Eddie & the French Lion at "New Years Revolution 2015", and how Eddie desperately seeks a rematch with this win tonight. Guerrero has the heart of a warrior, and now the firepower to help offset Yvon Robert's stablemates. But the 6'0" 250 lb Heavyweight Champion French Lion doesn't abide by popular fan sentiment. He is the Nazi-like "Authority" who stymies all opposition, and smothers their hopes & ambitions beneath his heel. Think HHH trampling on the "Yes!" movement, or the Kevin FN Owens heel-turn at ROH Final Battle 2009. Mafia is the Montreal Canadians/NY Yankees/Death Star of this fantasy-wrestling thing, and despite the radical fight put up by Los Guerreros, in the end they are simply over-matched. Eddie protects Chavo from career-ending injury, only to get caught in the French Lion's deadly submission... where he apparently passes out, and the referee (sanctioned by the Canadian Athletic Commission, as pointed out numerous times on commentary) calls for the finish! HUGE Royal Rumble 2015-type anti-reaction from the Philly fans over that one! The French Lion and crew cannot even stay in the ring too long for a victory promo, because of the literal rain of *trash* being bombarded upon them! Viva la Montreal Mafia! Heel heat off the charts! Winners: MONTREAL MAFIA** CUT TO RECAP / Commentator summary ** ____________________________________________________________

** CUT TO VIDEO RECAP **
* Rise of the Montreal Mafia in BCCW *
* Commissioner MVP is revealed as their Stateside "Investor" *
* Clashes between the Mafia and so-called "President Bowser-guys", including Cena & Crusher *
* Campaign to "Impeach the President!" is instigated *
* Commissioner MVP makes the selfish & vengeful decision to name himself #1 Contender tonight, alienating even his closest supporters (namely former HW & TV Champion Bobby Lashley) *** CUT TO Ring Entrances, Tale of the Tape & Announcer introductions! ** ** BCCW Television Title **STEVE "Crusher" CASEY (1942) versus COMMISSIONER MVP (2014) (Heavyweight Bout) versus Shades of "Austin vs McMahon" sprinkled with "Hogan vs Slaughter" if Sarge were a Canadian ex-patriot instead of Iraqi. Commissioner MVP has completely sold out his company & position by partnering with outside Canadian investors. This has brought ashore the most repugnant stable in the North, the Montreal Mafia, hell-bent on subverting American fantasy-wrestling to their will. Steve "Crusher" Casey is the physical embodiment of "President Bowser-guy", and brings a wartime veteran attitude to the bout. Do-or-die, fight for what's right. Irish-born warrior representing the red, white & blue while chants of "USA! USA!" ring out behind him. The Television title, and long valuable lineage (originating even before the BCCW relaunch in Season One), is heavily-factored into this bout, with the winner virtually assured of priceless television programming to propagate their views. Commissioner MVP wants it to further manipulate the masses in favor of his Montreal Mafia, and to remind even his own stablemates that he is their *boss* and *employer* not their "friend". Crusher Casey continues to use the TV title as the launchpad of his "Make a Wish" tour, veterans charity & other noble endeavors. All at risk tonight should the crooked Commissioner MVP get his hands on the BCCW TV Title! In the lock-up to start, Crusher Casey is clearly established as the strong of the two. He also uses unfathomable agility for a Heavyweight to leapfrog Commissioner MVP and level him with a series of clotheslines. Eventually MVP came back using MMA tactics to target Crusher’s arm. “Ireland’s Greatest Athlete” was still able to hoist him for a giant delayed vertical suplex! MVP tried to fire back with a series of pinfall attempts, trying to steal a quick win. But eventually, his striking begins to wear down the Television champion (especially after an “accidental” eye poke from Commissioner MVP!) The challenger goes to town with rope chokes, roundhouse combos and even a running knee, but can only get a 2 count. Commentators discuss MVP’s jujitsu training as he tries to wear down the champion. Crowd is really getting behind Casey, with chants of “USA! USA!” ringing out with no irony. They cheer every punch, back elbow and European uppercut from Crusher! But he misses a Brogue Kick and MVP escapes his clutches, trying to stall again. In the end, the brash ego of Commissioner MVP proves to be his downfall, as he attempts to humiliate Crusher more than merely defeat him. So Crusher is able to manifest a comeback (despite Commissioner MVP's on-the-fly rulings to eliminate DQs and countouts during the bout) and smash the crooked Commish with an Irish Hammer / White Noise combo! 1!.. 2!.. 3!! A clean victory for one of the purest athletes in the game, during a time when corruption & anarchy is running rampant! A moral & literal win for humanity! "BCCW! BCCW! BCCW!" Winner (and *still* champion): CRUSHER CASEY!!!Balloons, ticker tape and confetti rain down upon the ring (arranged prior by Commissioner MVP himself in anticipation of his *own* title victory)! Philly fans shout themselves hoarse in support of Crusher, as he helps conjure pleasant memories of the Broadstreet Bullies. Soon he is joined in the ring by a throng of well-wishers and supporters! Peers from backstage begin their way to the ring as well, saluting the Crusher for his victory! Boston Strongmen (Frank Sexton / Tommaso Ciampa / Frank Scarpa)! Mankind Mick Foley! Davey Richards, Eddie Edwards (w/ Alexxis Nevaeh) & Antonio "Promise" Thomas! JOHN FN CENA!! Then, in the final interlude, President Paul Bowser himself joins the revelry as Crusher Casey is hoisted high onto the shoulders of the locker room! President Bowser surrounded by "his guys", with all of BCCW as "their family". That's the story of the match; despite the power & fear mongering of Commissioner MVP, he was alone when it truly mattered. Meanwhile Crusher Casey is surrounded by a support system born of mutual respect and competition. Crusher is to BCCW what Tommy Dreamer was to original ECW (the "heart & soul"). Long live President Bowser-guys as we embark on a mission to return this land to the ideals it was founded upon! Long live Mash-Up Wrestling as we approach the one-year anniversary of our Network launch! The "Supercard Season" is fast approaching! Mash-Up Wrestlemania is on the horizon, with a weekend full of festivities coming your way! Stay tuned and don't miss a moment of exciting Mash-Up action! ** Roll Credits / Fade Out ** ____________________________________________________________

It was an interesting decision to have the Television Title match close out the show. I suppose that it made sense since Yvon Robert was not defending his title. However, I still preferred the 6-man tag team match between Robert, Owens & Corporate Kane and Eddie, Chavo and Art Barr and would consider it the highlight of the night.
Sheamus vs. Mankind in a Boiler Room Brawl was another excellent bout. I was a fan of the original Boiler Room Brawl between Mankind and the Undertaker at Summerslam '96 in the Gund Arena. I don't recall there ever being another match contested under such rules. Sheamus and Mankind would have had one hell of a fight, though.
John Cena vs. André The Giant was good. The booking protected both men with Cena achieving the bodyslam, but André going over. I get the sense that Cena's not interested in protesting and looking for another round to get the win that he so richly deserves.
The other thing I like the most on MBV5 was Rick "The Model" Martel's involvement as a guest host and his making a pass at Sable. I think an Adam Cole vs. Rick Martel feud is one of those ingenious ideas that makes me envy you for coming up with the idea and makes me wonder why I have never thought of it myself.
