Édouard Carpentier vs. Rusev w/ Prince Nana
This week’s show begins with the former NWA World Champion, the innovator of acrobatics, the “Flying Frenchman” Édouard Carpentier taking on the Super Athlete, also known as the “Bulgarian Brute,” Rusev, who is accompanied to the ring by his wealthy manager, Prince Nana, who believes that his considerable investment in Rusev will payoff hundred times over as he rises the ranks and goes straight to the top of the wrestling world. Carpentier’s cartwheels and summersaults only keeps him out of trouble for so long. Rusev is truly the definition of what a Super Athlete is. Once he’s able to get his hands on Carpentier, Rusev doesn’t let up. His offense is punishing and smothering. Rusev finishes Carpentier off with his typical swinging side slam and Accolade submission hold.
After the match, Prince Nana promises that the city that bore witness to the creation of Canada will bear witness to something of even greater historical important before the night is through and that everyone in the arena should feel proud that they were one of the few lucky people to see it happen live and in person.
Official Decision: Rusev wins by submission at 5:26

Owen Hart vs. Christian Cage vs. Arn Anderson vs. Test
This was an exciting fatal fourway match that featured plenty of action and suspense. For starters, early on in the match, Owen Hart and Arn Anderson began to brawl on the outside and Christian Cage side stepped an attack from Test and tosses him over the ropes right into Hart and Anderson. Then, Cage took out all three of his opponents with a slingshot plancha. Later in the match, Arn Anderson went on a tear and gave Hart, Test and Cage each a Double A Spinebuster in quick succession. Later on, after executing a tornado DDT on Anderson, Cage gets his head rattled when Test runs over him with a running big boot, but then Test is immediately knocked out with a leg-feed enzuigiri kick from Hart. Near the end of the match, Test goes for a pumphandle slam on Cage, but he slips free behind him and then executes an inverted facelock backbreaker on him. Then, he is given a Gourdbuster from Anderson. Before pinning, he sees Hart on his feet, so he charges at, but Hart gives him an overhead belly-to-belly suplex. He goes for the cover, but Test breaks it up and then throws Hart through the ropes and out to the floor. Then, Test lines up Anderson as he is getting up for his running big boot, but when he charges, Cage cuts him off with a spear! He pins and gets the three count before Anderson notices and attempts to break it up.
Official Decision: Christian Cage wins by pinfall at 10:56

Chris Jericho receives a warm welcome from the small, intimate crowd here in Charlottetown. He’s out here to boast about his big victory over the “Nature Boy” Ric Flair at WINTER WARFARE and to confirm that the rumours going around about Flair leaving AGPW following his loss to Jericho are true, so he decides to take credit for running him out of town. Citing the fact that he Flair and he decided to get out of dodge, and also that he and Christian Cage ran Bad Influence out of town just a month earlier, Jericho says that if the fans need some other heinous, villainous, low-life, scumbag of an ass clown to leave AGPW promptly, then he’s the man they should call.
Moving on, Jericho decides to switch his focus to promoting some of his other projects, such as the latest news about what is going on with his band, Fozzy, and listing off some of his upcoming guests on his weekly podcast, Talk is Jericho, when suddenly he is cut off by…
“Million Dollar Man” Ted DiBiase and his personal assistant and bodyguard, Virgil, come down to the ring. DiBiase, who hasn’t been seen in AGPW since October, makes his surprise return by offering to pay Jericho to buzz off, since he’s not talking about anything important and merely just wasting everyone’s time, and give the Million Dollar Man the microphone so that he can make an important announcement. Jericho feels insulted and throws the pile of money that Virgil stuffed in his pocket back in DiBiase’s face. This causes Jericho to get attacked from behind by Virgil. Together, Virgil and DiBiase beat down Jericho in the middle of the ring. Once he’s been beaten down, DiBiase and Virgil pick up Jericho and the Million Dollar Man gives him a piledriver!
Having dealt with that problem, DiBiase grabs the microphone and tells us all that he has a very important announcement to make, but then he’s cut off by…
Commissioner Billy Two Rivers, who says that whatever announcement DiBiase has to make is most certainly not as important as the announcement that he has to make right now. And his announcement is that DiBiase will be forced into action in tonight’s main event when he has to go one-on-one with Chris Jericho! Having just beat down Jericho, DiBiase laughs off this announcement until Two Rivers adds that Virgil will be banned from ringside for tonight’s main event. The fans pop! DiBiase blows a gasket! Two Rivers laughs at DiBiase now! Will Jericho get his revenge? And what was DiBiase’s important message? Will we ever find out? Stay tuned for tonight’s main event to find out!

It’s Chris Jericho vs. “Million Dollar Man” Ted DiBiase in tonight’s main event! Don’t miss it!

It’s the debut of the on Ultimo Dragon!!
Ultimo Dragon vs. Sonjay Dutt
The Ultimo Dragon marks his Atlantic Grand Prix Wrestling debut facing Sonjay Dutt, who has come here for a try out match. Dutt is an exciting competitor, but has a hard go of it while facing one of the most well-rounded and gifted wrestlers to ever step foot in the ring. Both wrestlers take to the air and bring the fans to their feet. However, Ultimo Dragon’s persona and ring work outshines and overshadows Dutt’s contribution to the match. He wows the crowd by giving Dutt a few of his signature moves, such as the Asai moonsault on the outside of the ring, the Dragonsteiner and Dragon Bomb! Dutt puts up a solid effort, but the threat of an upset victory is minimal. It is the Ultimo Dragon who wins by pinfall after he executes the Asai DDT!
Official Decision: Ultimo Dragon wins by pinfall at 5:53
*Commercial Break 4*
Samoa Joe vs. Chris Candido
Samoa Joe takes on Chris Candido in his first match since suffering his first clean lose in AGPW action at WINTER WARFARE when unsuccessfully challenged Bret “The Hitman” Hart for the International Heavyweight Championship. Joe is in rather fine form in this match. Candido is a great worker capable of putting up an excellent challenge to anybody, but he doesn’t fare well at all in this match. The pace of the match is mostly dictated by the Samoan Submission Machine, who also dominates on offense. To show us that he isn’t sliding into a rut following only his second lose in AGPW in over 16 months competing in the territory, Joe finishes the match with an exclamation point by giving Candido the Muscle Buster before locking him in the Coquina Clutch to earn the submission victory in a very short match.
Official Decision: Samoa Joe wins by submission at 3:35
Following the match, Bo Dallas surprises Samoa Joe by walking out onto the Titans’ entrance set to congratulate him on his impressive victory and to impart some important words of inspiration to Joe, telling him that it is important that he knows that the fans still love him despite losing to Bret Hart at WINTER WARFARE and that he can still have a wonderful career winning every one of his matches except for major title matches – noting that his only two loses both happened in contests for the International Heavyweight Champion – as long as he continues to BOLIEVE in himself. He tells him not to let the fact that he cannot win the big one get him down because he’s still a champion in the game of life and the eyes of everyone in this arena, even though he clearly is not the holder of the International Heavyweight Championship title. Don’t stop BOLIEVING, Samoa Joe! Don’t stop BOLIEVING!
*Commercial Break 5*
Paige vs. AJ Lee
AJ Lee and Paige face each other one-on-one for the first time in AGPW. They go back and forth in the early part of this match, but Lee eventually takes control of the match with back-to-back swinging neckbreakers. She slows the match down and grounds Paige, working on her right arm and shoulder, trying to soften it for later in the match. After a few attempts at turning the tables on Lee, Paige finally succeeds by shoving Lee away and then catching her crossbody attempt and countering it with a fallaway slam. After that, Paige goes on offense, but she works at a much quicker pace, firing off a series of headbutts, followed by a series of knee lifts and then a series of short-arm clotheslines. She pins Lee, but it is not enough to put her away. Paige gives her a fisherman’s suplex, but that also fails to do the trick. She then tries an aerial attack, but it fails. What follows is some back-and-forth action and more than a few failed pinfall attempts by both women, until finally Paige goes for a Paige-Turner, but Lee rotates out of the move, lands on her feet and then executes a shining wizard! Paige still manages to kick out of Lee’s pinfall attempt. However, after that, Lee waits for Paige to rise to her feet and then puts her in the Black Widow, which forces her to submit.
Official Decision: AJ Lee wins by submission at 9:32
Following the match, AJ Lee grabs the house microphone and gives Awesome Kong a warning that her her title reign as the Women’s Champion will be very short lived because Lee’s new best friend, Trish Stratus, has told Lee to win defeat the beast and win the title for her, and that’s what she plans to do because that’s what besties do.
Awesome Kong comes out to respond to Lee. Making her first appearance as the new Women’s Champion, Kong is now overflowing with confidence. She dares Lee to try to come and take the title from her, saying that she beat both Stratus and Lee and earn the title, so she knows that she can crush Lee to keep it. Besides, she states that she owes Lee a monumental beating for trying to help Stratus keep the title. Kong says that anytime and anywhere Lee wants to run into this brick wall, she’s more than welcome. Borrowing a line from The Rock, Kong tells Lee to bring it!
*Commercial Break 6*
We go now to a pre-taped interview between International Heavyweight Champion Bret “The Hitman” Hart and Jeremy Borash, who asks him several pointed questions about what happened on last week’s episodes of Titans. Hart, appears without the championship belt. The belt was destroyed last week by “Superstar” Billy Graham after Hart was knocked out by Leo Burke, who gave him a knockout blow to the head while he was wearing a set of brass knuckles. First, Hart remains surprised and disappointed that Burke personal attacked the character of both himself and of AGPW owner Emile Duprée. He says that it also bothers him that someone he’s always admired and looked up to has turned into such a poor sport. Next, Hart addresses what Graham did last week. He says that he’s known Graham for a long time and he’s also always known him to be a self-important prick. He’s not surprised by Graham’s actions, which he calls disgraceful and a stain on the sport of professional wrestling. He doesn’t care that Graham wants his rematch, stating that he beat him once fair and square, so he’ll do it again. And this time, he promises that after he beats Graham, he will never be seen again in AGPW.
We cut to a pre-taped promo by “Superstar” Billy Graham, who says that he is not remorseful for his actions last week. He took great pleasure in destroying the International Heavyweight Championship title belt and, if he had the chance, he would do it all over again. He tells us that his only regret in life is that he didn’t tear the title belt to pieces when he was the champion that way Bret Hart would never have got his hands on it and allowed the title to give him a big head. He says that the Hitman’s head has gotten so big since their last meeting in the ring, that he thinks he’s unbeatable and that he’s the best thing that’s ever happened to professional wrestling. Well, Graham wants us all to know that Hart doesn’t stand tall like the Tower of Power, rather he stands in his shadow. That’s where he’s also stood and that’s where he’ll always stand. When Graham steps back into the ring with the Hitman, he will once again become the International Heavyweight Champion and he doesn’t care that there will be no gold-plated title belt to wrap around his waist because the one true Superstar of professional wrestling is universally recognized as the man of the hour, the tower of power, and the only thing worth a damn in this sport today!

Chris Jericho vs. “Million Dollar Man” Ted DiBiase
This fantasy wrestling dream match of epic proportions was ordered up by Commissioner Billy Two Rivers earlier in the evening (cue another annoying ‘moments ago’ recap), after DiBiase made his surprise return to AGPW and offered to pay off Chris Jericho for his promo time in order to make a very important announcement. We didn’t get to find out what that announcement was because Jericho refused to take DiBiase’s money and then got beat down by DiBiase and Virgil. Then, Two Rivers cut off DiBiase before he could make his announcement, by ordering up this match to be tonight’s main event!
Virgil has been banned from ringside. DiBiase is all alone in this match and he does his typical Million Dollar Man thing in the early minutes of the match. He distracts the referee, refuses to lock up with Jericho and stalls in every which way you can imagine. It draws considerable heel heat for him. DiBiase continues to exit and enter the ring as a stalling tactic. He may want to get Jericho to follow him out, but it isn’t working. DiBiase argues with ringside fans and then gets into a verbal spat with the referee. Jericho takes advantage of the opening and performs a corner springboard plancha on DiBiase to open up the action! Jericho lays into him with chops and slams him into the guardrail. He goes for a whip, but DiBiase reverses it and sends Jericho slamming shoulder first into the ring steps. DiBiase charges at him for a knee to the face, but Jericho moves and DiBiase’s knee hits the steel! Jericho helps DiBiase back into the ring and then continues to work on his knee and leg. After a while, Jericho applies a figure four leglock. DiBiase is in considerable pain and scrambles like a mad man to get to the ropes. He eventually does, forcing a break. DiBiase begs for mercy and suckers Jericho in for an eye rake and a Russian legsweep. Now, DiBiase gets up on his one good leg, holds onto the ropes and stomps the crap out of Jericho. DiBiase begins to slowly and methodically attack Jericho’s head and neck. After giving him a vertical suplex, DiBiase gives him a pair of standing elbow drops and then his pantented delayed fist drop. DiBiase covers, but Jericho kicks out. DiBiase gives him a bodyslam and then goes to the second turnbuckle and executes a diving pointed elbow drop to the face. He covers, but Jericho kicks out again.
After a few more suplexes and a backbreaker lead only to a few more 2-count pins, DiBiase whips Jericho into the ropes and ducks down for a back body drop, but Jericho stops short and kicks him in the face and then drops him with a running clothesline. Jericho begins to rally, executing a jumping one-handed bulldog and then the Lionsault, but DiBiase kicks out of it. Jericho goes to the top rope and attempts a diving double axehandle, but DiBiase counters with a dropkick! He covers, but Jericho kicks out Now, DiBiase drags him to the centre of the ring and applies the figure four. Jericho slowly crawls to the ropes, but DiBiase pulls him back before Jericho flips it over, forcing DiBiase to quickly crawl to the ropes. When they get up, they exchange punches and chops. DiBiase goes for an Irish whip, but Jericho reverses it and hits him with a running back elbow to the face. As DiBiase tries to get up, Jericho gives him a double underhook powerbomb! He covers. 1…2… kick out! Jericho goes up to the top rope and waits as DiBiase slowly gets back to his feet. He has his back to Jericho and he’s complaining to the referee about something. He turns around and as he does, Jericho goes for a missile dropkick. DiBiase dives out of the way and Jericho ends up hitting DiBiase instead.
As Jericho looks at the referee for a moment, DiBiase creeps up from behind. He’s going for the Million Dollar Dream, but Jericho turns just in time to see him, then swings around behind him and executes a bridging German suplex! 1…2…3… it should be over, but the referee is out cold. Jericho lets go of DiBiase and lightly slaps the referee in the face to try to wake him up. The referee starts to move around a little on the mat. Jericho sees DiBiase crawling to the ropes. He stands in wait. As DiBiase gets to his feet and turns around – bam!
Jericho goes down with a backstabber! The fans pop at the sight of the man’s familiar face. He holds Jericho’s arm down on the mat and gives it several elevated knee drops before rolling into a cross armbreaker! Meanwhile, DiBiase blocks out the view of the referee until the man exits the ring. Jericho’s arm is in serious pain and has been weakened enough to allow DiBiase to put him in the Million Dollar Dream without worrying about Jericho keeping his arm up to avoid a loss. Sure enough, Jericho won’t submit, and the referee raises his arm three times, and three times it falls.
Official Decision: “Million Dollar Man” Ted DiBiase wins by submission at 14:17
After the match, Virgil joins DiBiase and his associate in the ring. He hands a microphone to DiBiase, who proceeds to make his important announcement. He would like to introduce us to one of his new business associates. The man takes the microphone and says, “My name is Alberto… El Patron.”
Before anything more can be said, Christian Cage slides into the ring from behind and cracks Virgil in the back with a chair! DiBiase and El Patron clear out of the ring. Cage holds them off with a chair, but when he turns to check on his fallen friend when…
He has his head nearly taken off with a big jumping side kick from Rusev! Now, DiBiase and El Patron return to the ring and the three men systematically tear Jericho and Cage apart. When they are finished, they are joined in the ring by Prince Nana. Together, Prince Nana, the Million Dollar Man and El Patron announce the historical formation of their new multinational conglomerate – the International Ministry of Finance – because when you have all of the money in the world the sky isn’t the limit. There is no limit! They can buy whatever they want and whoever they want. Atlantic Grand Prix Wrestling, this is your warning call – the balance of power has just moved over to the deepest pockets in the game!
