HARLEM HEAT vs. THE MIZ & JOHN MORRISON : Booker T and Stevie Ray executed the Towering Inferno on John Morrison and Booker pinned him for the win. FTR came out and told Harlem Heat they were taking their WWE Tag Team Championships from them at Extreme Rules. Booker T and Stevie Ray told them they could give it their best shot, but it wouldn’t be enough. When Booker and Stevie went back to celebrating, Dax Hardwood and Cash Wheeler left the ring, but it was only to get steel chairs. They tried to sneak attack them, but Booker and Stevie caught them in the nick of time. They brawled for a few moments. Stevie Ray executed the Slapjack on Wheeler and Booker T gave the Book End to Harwood. (11:08) -- Winners by Pinfall: Harlem Heat
“Mean” Gene Okerlund caught up with WWE Intercontinental Champion Eddie Guerrero to ask him how he feels about defending his title not against Ricky Steamboat, as originally scheduled, but one of Daniel Bryan, AJ Styles, “Macho Man” Randy Savage or “The Best Man” Miro. Guerrero tells Mean Gene that h’'s tired of wrestling Bryan and Styles but would be happy for either of them to win because it would be the easiest title defense of his life. Savage thinks he’s a Macho Man but his machismo is about one-tenth of the machismo of Latino Heat! He can take on this wild man and win no problem. Miro is in a whole other category. This is the only man in this match that he respects, but he is still only second best to Eddie Guerrero!
When Guerrero walks away from Mean Gene, the camera zooms in down the hall where it sees Bobby “The Brain” Heenan knock on and then enter a door. When the door shuts, we see the name on the door reads “AJ Styles.”
JOHNNY GARGANO vs. JOHNNY “THE BULL” STAMBOLI : Johnny Gargano weathered Johnny Stamboli’s powerful offense to moutn a comeback that ended with him trapping Stamboli in the Garga-No-Escape. (5:52) -- Winner by Submission: Johnny Gargano
RHEA RIPLEY vs. NIKKI BELLA : WWE Women’s Champion Rhea Ripley had to deal with two Bellas in this match. Brie helped Nikki get the upper hand but it wasn’t enough to get her the win. Ripley executed a Riptide on Brie and made Nikki tap out to the Prism Trap. (9:17) -- Winner by Submission: Rhea Ripley
“Mean Gene” Okerlund interviewed Toni Storm, who told him that Ember Moon is a top competitor and took her to the limit, but she came out on the winning end because she’s the best she’s ever been and the experience of defeating Moon last week is going to help her win the WWE Women’s Championship. She was just watching Ripley out there. She was impressive, but Storm could do better. Just then, Ripley appears in the shot from the blindside and asked, “Is that so?” Storm said it is, so Ripley told her to prove it. Storm said she would. She said she’d beat Bella in half the time it took Ripley. The WWE Women’s Champion laughed at her and said that she’d like to see that.
Ripley walked away. Storm didn’t appear to be too happy about it, but the turned and went the other way. A moment later, the camera caught Heenan leaving the dressing room of AJ Styles.
ORANGE CASSIDY vs. WALTER : Orange Cassidy gave WALTER a bunch of lazy kicks and then stuffed his hands in his pockets, so WALTER gave him a burning lariat and then chopped the crap out of him. Cassidy mounted a comeback and hit some Freshly Squeezed punches, but WALTER turned his stun dog millionaire attempt into a Gojira Clutch and it was all over. At the end of the match, Rowdy Roddy Piper came out and attacked WALTER, hitting him with a baseball bat. He got down on WALTER and gave him several closed-fist punches to the head. Piper dragged the large Ring General out of the ring and posted him, causing him to bleed from the forehead. Piper disassembled the ring steps, then gave WALTER a running bulldog onto the bottom portion of the metal steps. When there were finally enough officials to get in between them, Piper went to the timekeeper’s spot, grabbed a mic, and said that this wasn’t over and Piper wouldn’t consider them even for what WALTER did to him and his Piper’s Pit set until the WWE United States Championship was around the Hot Rod’s wasit. (8:04) -- Winner by Submission: WALTER
“Mean” Gene Okerlund spoke to “Stone Cold” Steve Austin who said that an awful of people were just dying to get on ol’ Stone Cold’s shit list. It ain’t just DiBiase and his band of blue-blooded, yellow-bellied assholes. Now, it’s some wanderin’ minstrel with a guitar whose taking the Million Dollar Man’s money to do his dirty work for him. Well, that was just about the worst mistake Elias ever made. Now, Stone Cold’s gonna have to whip your ass. And DiBiase, don’t think Stone Cold ain’t forgot about you. Stone Cold’s gonna hunt you down and when he does, it ain’t gonna be pretty. And that’s the bottom line ‘cause Stone Cold said so!
THE RIOT SQUAD vs. MICKIE JAMES & THE IICONICS : Mickie James executed a Mick Kick on Liv Morgan and made the pin but Sarah Logan broke it up. Billie Kay made a blind tag to come in while a full-scale brawl broke out. Ruby Riot tagged in and executed a Riot Kick on Billie Kay before pinning her for the win. (10:16) -- Winners by Pinfall: The Riot Squad
BRIAN PILLMAN vs. PETE DUNNE : Brian Pillman tried to end the match with Air Pillman, but Pete Dunne countered it with a 5-star forearm to the side of the head that knocked him out. Dunne followed it up with the Bitter End and pinned Pillman for the win. (13:50) -- Winner by Pinfall: Pete Dunne
“Mean” Gene Okerlund caught up with “The Million Dollar Man” Ted DiBiase, who threated to have Okerlund steamrolled under a layer of fresh asphalt on the Boulevard Saint-Laurent for suggesting that Steve Austin has a legitimate gripe about the outcome of the Casino Battle Royale at Summerslam. Everyone saw what happened. DiBiase was declared the winner because he was the last man standing in the ring. Now, he’s going to Clash of the Champions in October to wrestle for the WWE Universal Champion and there’s nothing anybody can do about it, not even Stone Cold Steve Austin. He can try and try and try again, but DiBiase’s pockets are bottomless. It doesn’t matter how much it costs, he can pay for all the protection in the world to keep that inebriated imbecile away from him because everybody has a price – and that’s the bottom line because The Million Dollar Man said so! Ha! Ha! Ha! Ha! Ha! Ha! Ha! Ha! Ha!
SHO FUNAKI vs. ELIAS : Elias jumped Funaki before the bell to get out to the early advantage. Funaki came back, but Elias ducked out of the way from a step-up enzuigiri, then executed Drift Away and pinned Funaki for the win. After getting the win, Elias and Taka Michinoku exchanged words when Taka entered the ring to check on his partner. Elias left the ring, grabbed his guitar and brought it in to hit Taka with it. He approached Taka from behind and lifted the guitar high over head, but the sound of glass shattering stopped that. “Stone Cold” Steve Austin came down to the ring. Elias took off and Austin chased him off into the crowd. (4:40) -- Winner by Pinfall: Elias
“Mean” Gene Okerlund spoke to the WWE Universal Champion Sting, who told him that he heard everything Paul Heyman said last week. He said that Sting’s win was a miracle. Well, Sting has a message for Heyman and Roman Reigns: if believing his win was a miracle helps them sleep better at night, then keep on deluding yourselves. However, you do so at your own peril because at Extreme Rules, Sting is going to shatter the phony alternate reality they have built for themselves when he beats Reigns for a second time.
DANIEL BRYAN vs. AJ STYLES vs. “THE BEST MAN” MIRO vs. “MACHO MAN” RANDY SAVAGE : AJ Styles hit Daniel Bryan with a Phenomenal Forearm. He was immediately knocked down with a Miro Kick and then put in Game Ove by Miro, who leaned all the way back, but could only pull Styles half way, giving Savage the space he needed to break it up with a well placed diving elbow drop to Miro’s chest. Savage went for the pin, but Bryan broke that up and allied the Yes! Lock to the Macho Man. He reached out for the ropes but couldn’t get there. Savage was wavering but before he might tap out, Styles broke it up with a springboard 450-splash. Savage rolled to the outside and Styles dropkicked Miro through the ropes to the floor. He grabbed Bryan and tried to give him the Styles Clash, but Bryan escaped with a back body drop. Bryan tried to put Styles in the Yes! Lock but Styles managed to counter into a Calf Crusher. Meanwhile, outside the ring, Miro and Savage were brawling. Savage racked Miro’s eyes and went for a whip. Miro reversed and Savage hit the barricade. Miro charged at him and Savage body dropped to the floor. When Savage turned around, Jim Cornette hit him between the shoulder blades with his tennis racket. Savage chased after Cornette. Back in the ring, Bryan has escaped the Calf Crusher and gave Styles a tiger suplex. He lined him up for the running high knee. Styles moved, Bryan hit the corner, and Styles picked him and executed the Styles Clash. 1…2…3! (16:39) -- Winner by Pinfall: AJ Styles
