Dvorak’s Symphony no. 9 in E minor filled the arena, signalling the arrival of WALTER and Imperium. They take over the ring and introduce themselves. The point is made that WALTER is the NXT Champion. They call back to their attack on The Brothers of Destruction last week and tell the WWE that what they did was the opening salvo of a hostile takeover. Monday Night RAW now belongs to Imperium and the WWE will soon belong to NXT! After they finished that statement, the arena went dark. A gong was sounded and then fire shot up from the turnbuckles. When the lights came back on, The Undertaker and Kane were in the ring. They threw down and cleared the ring of all members of Imperium.
BRIAN PILLMAN vs. EDDIE GUERRERO : Brian Pillman applied a cross armbreaker. When the referee checked to see if Guerrero was going to submit, he refused. While reaching out towards the ropes, he moved his arm, grabbed the referee by his shirt and pulled him over his torso and onto Pillman. The referee was a bit disoriented by this, and Pillman demanded to know what happened. Guerrero took advantage of the situation by giving Pillman a brainbuster while his guard was down. The referee reluctantly made the count. (16:37) -- Winner by Pinfall: Eddie Guerrero
“Mean” Gene caught up with Imperium as they were leaving the arena. They said that The Undertaker and Kane made a big mistake. No one tries to make fools of Imperium and gets away with it. Imperium challenged The Brothers of Destruction to a match next week.
BAYLEY vs. IVORY : Bayley executed an arm-trap headlock driver on Ivory and pinned her. At the count of two, she lifted Ivory’s shoulders off the mat as if to say she wasn’t done with her. She picked her up and repeated the move before pinning her for the win. Afterwards, she responded to Belair’s comments about her last week. She said that Belair was lucky she wasn’t in the building last week or she would have beat her. She said she would beat Belair any time, any place. Belair came out and said that they could fight right here, right now. Bayley said she couldn’t now because she just had a match, so Belair said she would meet her in the ring next week. (4:48) -- Winner by Pinfall: Bianca Belair
AL SNOW vs. “MILLION DOLLAR MAN” TED DIBIASE : In his WWE debut, Al Snow was put to sleep by Ted DiBiase when the “Million Dollar Man” put him in the Million Dollar Dream. After the match, bagpipe music signaled the arrival of Rowdy Roddy Piper, who started walking to the ring with a baseball bat in his hands. DiBiase appeared to panic until JBL ran out and attacked Piper on the entrance ramp. JBL had a leather strap with him and he whipped Piper repeatedly. DiBiase laughed. His laughter came to a stop when Sting descended from the rafters. DiBiase hightailed it out of there. JBL saw Sting with a bat in hands headed his way and he too left the scene of the crime. (5:40) -- Winner by Submission: “Million Dollar Man” Ted DiBiase
The Miz and John Morrison took over the ring to express their frustrations at Harlem Heat for getting involved in something that didn’t involve them (even though they themselves interfered in a Harlem Heat match and caused them to lose via DQ). They said that Booker T and Stevie Ray had something they want and that is the WWE Tag Team Championships. They called on the champions to defend their titles against them. Unexpectedly, their challenge was answered by the NXT Tag Team Champions: Johnny Gargano and Tommaso Ciampa. They said that they were keen on winning the WWE Tag Team Champions and unifying the two titles, and they didn’t mind if they had to go through The Miz and Morrison to get at Harlem Heat. They challenged The Miz and Morrison to a match right now to see who was more worthy of the opportunity.
#DIY vs. THE MIZ & JOHN MORRISON : John Morrison had Johnny Gargano on the mat in position for Starship Pain. He went for it, but Gargano put his knees up. He slowly crawled towards his corner. The Miz got the tag first and ran in to cut him off. He tried to give him the Skull-Crushing Finale, but Gargano slipped free from the full nelson, executed a superkick and then dove into his corner for the hot tag. Ciampa took Morrison and The Miz on two-on-one, executing Project Ciampa on The Miz and giving the Fairy Tale Ending to Morrison. He tagged in Gargano and they executed the Meeting in the Middle on The Miz. Gargano pinned him for the win.(13:53) -- Winners by Pinfall: #DIY
“Mean” Gene interviewed Jim Cornette, who told him that he had fired Mark Henry. Cornette said that he only represented the World’s Best. He thought Henry had what it took to be the best but being the World’s Strongest Man doesn’t mean anything if you can’t beat chumps like Keith Lee or Bret Hart. Now, he’s on the look out for a new client to join the World’s Best. In the meantime, he’s happy to represent the best tag team in the world – Shelton Benjamin and Charlie Haas – the World’s Greatest Tag Team. Next week, they’ll be back in action and they are going to defeat some hapless tandem NXT idiots. Just then, Rey Fénix and Penta El 0M come into view and say that they are the team that will meet Benjamin and Haas and they have no fear – Cero Miedo!
JASON JORDAN vs. BRIAN CAGE : Last week, in his debut, Brian Cage defeated Jason Jordan’s tag team partner, Chad Gable. Tonight, he had to withstand a greater challenge from Jordan. However, he was still more than up to the task, as he flipped through an overhead belly-to-belly suplex attempt to land on his feet and then clubbed Jordan down with a discus back elbow smash and discus clothesline. After executing the Cage Breaker, he pinned Jordan for the win. (7:22) -- Winner by Pinfall: Brian Cage
WWE WOMEN’S CHAMPIONSHIP MATCH: RHEA RIPLEY vs. NIKKI BELLA : Thanks to interference by her sister Brie, Nikki Bella was in control for a long stretch of this contest. When Ripley broke free from a fireman’s carry and dropped Nikki with a big boot, she started a comeback. Brie tried to help Nikki stop that, but she received Rip Tide. Ripley eventually got Bella in the Prism Trap and forced her to submit. When Ripley was celebrating her win, she was attacked by NXT Women’s Champion Tenille Dashwood and the IIconics. The group of Aussies did a number on their countrymate, with Dashwood giving her the Spotlight Kick for the final blow. (9:28) -- Winner by Submission: Rhea Ripley
“Mean” Gene met up with Rowdy Roddy Piper. The Hot Rod was in fine form. He ripped off his shirt to show Gene and the cameras the welts caused by JBL and his leather strap. Piper said that he barged into Vince McMahon’s office and told him he wasn’t leaving until he got what he wanted or Vince killed him, whichever came first. Vince gave him what he wanted. Next week, Piper will meet JBL in the ring and the two of them will be tethered to each other by that thick leather strap of his. There will be no escaping Hot Rod and there will be no mercy for JBL next week!
KEITH LEE vs. TRIPLE H : Keith Lee proved to be a much bigger challenge than Triple H expected. Consequently, he resorted to illegal holds and dirty underhanded tactics at every opportunity. When he set up for the Pedigree, Lee countered with a back body drop. Frustrated that he couldn’t put Lee away, Triple H left the ring. Lee followed him outside where they brawled. Keith Lee hit Triple H with a pounce so hard that he flew over the barricade and into the timekeeper’s position. Triple H used the ring bell as a weapon when Lee tried to pull him out from there. After that, Triple H gave Lee a Pedigree on the floor and returned to the ring to collect the countout victory. (16:11) -- Winner by Countout: Triple H
While Triple H had his hand raised, Lee got up. Upset that Lee still managed to get up, Triple H went outside, pulled a sledgehammer out from under the ring and hit Lee in the face with it. He sat down on him and pounded away at him. Triple H soved referees away and went back to punched at the cut on Lee’s forehead which he had opened. His attack was finally stopped by Kevin Owens! He hit Triple in the back with a steel chair. He gave him a few more chairshots and then executes a powerbomb on the side of the ring apron! WWE superstars, referees and security officials started running down the entrance ramp. Owens ran off into the crowd and gave a victory pose while surrounded by the WWE universe as the show went off the air.
