BRIAN PILLMAN vs. SAMMY GUEVARA : Jim “The Anvil” Neidhart and Jake Hager joined their stablemates at ringside, and when Hager picked up Brian Pillman off the floor and posted the small of his back against the turnbuckle post, The Anvil ran around the ring to brawl with Hager. He clotheslined Hager over the barricade and then hoped it to continue the fight. As they brawled through the crowd, Sammy Guevara took over on offense. After he hit a diving springboard cutter, he pinned Pillman for a 2-count. Guevara went to the top turnbuckle and attempted a shooting star press, but Pillman got his knees up and then applied a cross armbreaker. Guevara scrambled to the ropes. A few moments later, Guevara countered an attack with a tornado DDT. Pillman blocked his head from hitting the mat with a handspring, then got Guevara with a hangman’s neckbreaker. After that, he executed Air Pillman and covered him for the win. (11:56) -- Winner: Brian Pillman
Mean Gene interviewed The Hart Foundation. Brian Pillman boasted about how his easy win over Sammy Guevara was a good omen for The Hart Foundation. Tonight, Owen Hart and Davey Boy Smith will continue their good fortunes by qualifying for the finals of the WWE Tag Team Championships tournament. Hart and Smith discussed how they were the best tag team going right now and how they would become the first WWE Tag Team Champions.
Finally, Mean Gene asked Bret “The Hitman” Hart for comments on his WWE Intercontinental Championship tournament match coming up on Monday Night RAW against “The Million Dollar Man” Ted DiBiase. Hart said that DiBiase was someone not to take lightly. He knows the Million Dollar Man will do everything in his power to win, including cheating, but DiBiase doesn’t hold a candle to him in the ring. Hart is the excellence of execution, and with his family behind him, anything the Billion Dollar Corporation might try won’t work. When it comes down to it, The Hitman is the best there is, the best there was, and the best there ever will be, and that’s why he’ll walk out of their match the winner.
BRETT SAWYER vs. TRIPLE H : Brett Sawyer, the former 4-time Pacific Northwest Heavyweight and 5-time Pacific Northwest Tag Team Champion, was the hometown favourite going up against Triple H, who said he could earn the biggest pay day of his career by defeating him in this very ring today. Triple H told him he could have his title shot against Samoa Joe if he could pin or submit him in this very ring. Swayer, the younger brother of the better-known Buzz Sawyer, was a pesky challenger who pulled off a few close falls. Sending he needed to hit one more big move, Sawyer went to the top turnbuckle and attempted a diving splash. Triple H got up from the mat and countered with a knee to Sawyer’s face. Then, he executed the Pedigree and pinned him for the win. After the match, Triple H said that he would continue crushing the dreams of kids who want to play the game right up until Wrestlemania where he will end Samoa Joe’s dream run as the MUW World Champion. (7:17) -- Winner: Triple H
Mean Gene asked Beth Phoenix for comments regarding her actions on the Piper’s Pit – Phoenix attacked Asuka, giving her the Glam Slam – a week ago on RAW. Phoenix said that didn’t go on Piper’s Pit intending to hurt or embarrass Asuka, but the Empress of Tomorrow showed up unannounced to tell Phoenix that she wasn’t ready for her. Phoenix couldn’t let that stand so she had to show everyone that when she says she’s the biggest threat to Asuka’s title reign that she has had in two years, she means it. She wants to prove that once more time next week on RAW. Phoenix puts out an open challenge to anyone to step in the ring and try to prove that the Glamazon isn’t ready for Asuka.
OWEN HART & DAVEY BOY SMITH vs. THE MIZ & JOHN MORRISON : Owen Hart ducked a superkick from John Morrison and gave him a leg-feed enzuigiri kick. Then, he put him in the Sharpshooter. The Miz entered the ring and broke the hold by giving Hart a Skull Crushing Finale. Davey Boy Smith entered the ring and knocked The Miz out of the ring with a running clothesline over the top rope. He followed outside to stay on him, but saw Santana, Ortiz, and Jake Hager walking down the ramp towards him. Smith turned to face them, ready for a fight. As they got closer, Jim “The Anvil” Neidhart and Bret “The Hitman” Hart ran out to throw down with them. Owen Hart and the referee were busy looking at this, which gave John Morrison time to remove a turnbuckle pad. Morrison and Hart resumed their battle. Hart went for a whip, but Morrison reversed it and Hart’s sternum hit the exposed turnbuckle. After he fell backwards, Morrison gave him Starship Pain and covered him for the 3-count. With the win, Morrison & The Miz are headed to Wrestlemania to take on Harlem Heat for the WWE Tag Team Championships. (16:27) -- Winners: The Miz & John Morrison
Mean Gene interviewed “The Million Dollar Man” Ted DiBiase about his upcoming match against Bret “The Hitman” Hart next week. He responded to Hart’s earlier comments, saying that Hart got it right when he said that no one should take The Million Dollar Man lightly. Unfortunately, that is the only thing he got right. DiBiase said that Hart thinks he’s the best thing there ever was and still is today, but if that were the case, he’d have made more money that him. He’d be the one with the tuxedos and the fancy designer suits. He’d be the one with the limousines and private jets. But he’s not. He isn’t any of those things. The Million Dollar Man is the one with all those things because he’s also the one who gets the winner’s share of the purse and that’s the way it’s going to be on Monday, too.
Chris Jericho and the Inner Circle arrived on the scene. Jericho said he wanted to discuss a business proposition with The Million Dollar Man. DiBiase loves to talk business so he agreed to the meeting. Jericho said he wanted it to be private, so Bobby Roode and James Storm showed Mean Gene to the door and pushed him out of the BDC locker room.
RHEA RIPLEY vs. NIKKI BELLA : Nikki Bella and her sister Brie tried to pull some twin magic on Rhea Ripley, but she kicked out of the small package pinning predicament and leveled Brie with a big boot before giving her the Riptide. When she went to cover for the pin, she discovered that it wasn’t Nikki. Ripley turned around and received a spear. Nikki made the pin but Ripley kicked out. Nikki couldn’t believe it. After arguing with the referee, she lifted Ripley onto her shoulders. Ripley elbowed the side of her head to get free. She gave Nikki a full-nelson slam and then put her in the Prism Traip to get the submission. With the win, Rhea Ripley booked her spot at Wrestlemania in the WWE Women’s Championship tournament finals. (9:14) -- Winner: Rhea Ripley
John Cena came to the ring to call out Hulk Hogan. He said he issued a challenge to Hogan on RAW to defend his title against him and the Hulkster still hasn’t said anything. Cena wanted an answer and he was tired of waiting. He even asked if the great Hulk Hogan was quiet all week because he was scared to face him. Finally, Hogan came out to the ring. First, off, Hogan wants Cena to let him tell him something, brother. The Hulkster has great respect for Cena and he isn’t ducking him. Hogan wasn’t in Seattle on Monday, so he couldn’t accept his challenge that day. However, Hogan is here now, and he’s ready to defend his title anytime, anywhere, including right here and right now. Vince McMahon came out next and said that there wasn’t time for them to have a match right now. Tonight’s main event is already set. But if they want to have a title match before Wrestlemania, he can squeeze it into the line up, one week from today on Smackdown. Hogan and Cena looked at each as if to ask each other if they were going to do it and then shook their hands. Next week, Hulk Hogan defends the WWE Universal Championship against John Cena!
ROWDY RODDY PIPER vs. CHRIS JERICHO : Piper and Jericho were brawling outside the ring when Piper reversed a whip attempt that sent Jericho into the turnbuckle post. Piper slammed Jericho’s face off the ring apron and tosses Jericho into the ring. Le Champion complained to the referee about something, getting the ref to look closely at Jericho’s face for an injury. This distraction allowed Jake Hager to clothesline Piper and throw him against the barricade before tossing him into the ring. Jericho made the pin but Piper kicked out.
Jericho picked him up and whipped him into the corner. He charged in but got a boot to the face and then a running bulldog. Piper covered Jericho but only got a two count. Piper picked up Jericho, took him into the corner and put him on the top rope. He set up for a superplex, but Jericho blocked and shoved Piper off the turnbuckles. Jericho went for a missile dropkick, but Piper moved out of the way. When Jericho got up, Piper pushed him into the ropes and rolled him up. Jericho kicked out and as Piper went into the ropes, Hager punched him in the face. Jericho gave Piper the Codebreaker and pinned him. 1…2… kick out! Jericho was frustrated and complained.
Meanwhile, members of the Hart Foundation came out to watch on Hager and tell the referee what he had been doing. The rest of the Inner Circle was quick to come out. The potential for a wild brawl to break out was increasing exponentially as the distance between the Inner Circle and the Hart Foundation shrank. As the referee was distracted by this, Jericho got a chair and brought it into the ring to use on Piper. Instead, Piper gave him a low blow, took the chair and hit him with it.
Piper put Jericho in a sleeperhold until “The Million Dollar Man” Ted DiBiase entered the ring, unseen by officials, and put Piper in the Million Dollar Dream. Piper did a mule kick and threw DiBiase out of the ring, but then he was nailed with a Clothesline From Wall Street by JBL. The referee came back into the ring. When the referee was back in the ring, Jericho gave Piper a lionsault and covered Piper to get the 3-count. (19:35) -- Winner: Chris Jericho
