Announcers: Mauro Ranallo & Tazz
Cue the music! Cue the pyro! Another episode of RoH Wrestling is live on the air!
We head to the announce booth which only features Mauro Ranallo and Tazz with week as they explain Steve Corino has been suspended for his actions at SuperCard in the Kevin Owens/Mike Bennet match.
BURN IT DOOOOOOWN!
Before we can get anything else out from the commentary team, the music of RoH World Heavyweight Champion Seth Rollins blares from the arena speakers. The champ is out to the ring, but for the first time in well over a month, he’s all alone and he doesn’t look happy.
Rollins tells the crowd that last week was an abomination. Age of the Fall let them all down when they lost to Team Angle, but most importantly, they let him down. Rollins explains that when he agreed to re-unite Age of the Fall it was for two reasons, to make sure Seth Rollins became RoH World Heavyweight Champion, and to dominate Ring of Honor just like they did 10 years ago, but last week they failed him. Rollins explains that he’s out alone tonight because he need some time to think about the future of Age of the Fall. He reminds every one of the conversation he had with his team last week that said big changes were coming to AoF if they were to lose, and they did. Rollins says he’s stepped away from AoF tonight to determine who the weakest link in the team is, and he plans on addressing that when AoF holds a “State of the Fall” address next week. Rollin then brings up tonight as week 1/4 of Rollins having to defend the RoH World Heavyweight Championship against a member of Team Angle, before demanding his opponent come to the ring and face him right now as he wants to get this over with.
YOU THINK YOU KNOW ME
The music of Edge plays as the Rated-R Supertsar comes out to the stage to the cheers of the RoH crowd. Edge reassures Rollins that he is not his opponent tonight, but he’s here to announce who is. Edge tells Rollins that he plans on making him sweat tonight as his title match will be in the Main Event as it was always intended to be, before bringing out Seth’s opponent for the evening, Christian!
Christian comes out to the stage and stands beside Edge as the two best friends stare down the Champion before we head backstage to see what’s going on with Alicia Atout.
*****
Alicia Atout is standing backstage with Elias. She congratulates him on his victory last week at SuperCard, but before she can say much else, Elias interrupts her. He says that he’s not here looking to be congratulated on doing what he had vowed he was from day one, which was beat Jeff Jarrett, Elias says what needs to be said is “Thank You”. Thank you for ridding Ring of Honor of a washed up no talent hack who could no longer cut it in the ring with superstars of his calibre. Elias says the RoH Universe needs to thank him for ridding them of Jeff Jarrett and they will have the opportunity next week when Elias takes the ring for a special “Thank You Concert.” Elias then simply walks off strumming his guitar as we head back to the ring for the first match of the night.

Match #1: Tag Team Match
The Kingdom (w/ Matt Taven) vs. The Hart Dynasty (w/Brian Pillman, Jr. & Jim Neidhart)
TK O’Ryan and Vinny Marseglia represent The Kingdom while the long-time tag team of Tyson Kidd and Davey Boy Smith, Jr. make up The Hart Dynasty in this match which is playing off of the events of last week. A solid tag team match between these two teams to kick off the show with minimal involvement from the 3 men at ringside until the end of this match. Taven tries to slide O’Ryan’s baseball bat in to the ring, but is stopped by Jim Neidhart who sizes up Taven. It’s Brian Pillman though who rushes over and gets his hands on Taven, which causes TK O’Ryan and Davey Boy Smith, Jr. to head outside and get involved as well. This distraction allows Vinny Marseglia to low blow Tyson Kidd before nailing the REDRUM for the 3 count, giving The Kingdom their first victory in quite some time!
Winners: The Kingdom by pinfall @ 8:43.

We head backstage to the Age of the Fall locker room where the rest of the faction minus their Champion are having a team meeting. Jimmy Jacobs is trying to rally the troops as both he and Joey Mercury are looking down on themselves while Brodie Lee shows no emotion at all. Jacobs says things are going to change next week with Age of the Fall and that Seth Rollins is not happy with them. As the self-proclaimed “Co-Leader” of AoF, Jacobs feels it’s his duty to try and get everyone back on the same page to hopefully change Rollins’ mind. Jacobs tells Lee that he’s gotten him a shot at Kevin Owens’ Television Championship tonight before telling Mercury that he’d got Eric Bischoff to book another match between Ken Kennedy and Joey Mercury tonight as well. Mercury is not happy with the news of him facing Kennedy tonight, but Jacobs reminds him that he hasn’t lost to Kennedy yet, and another win against one of Seth’s future opponents may help smooth things over between the champion and his stable before also suggestion that Mercury “do this one on your own”. Jacobs leaves the locker room with Brodie Lee as Joey Mercury just stands there looking nervous. We slowly fade to our first commercial break of the evening.
***COMMERCIAL***
We return from commercial to see Kurt Angle in his locker room with fellow Team Angle members Christian and Edge. Angle asks where Kennedy is, but Christian tell him Kennedy wanted some time alone to prepare for his match against Joey Mercury tonight. Angle takes a moment to apologize to his team for getting himself counted out early in to the match last week at SuperCard and say his actions were not those of a proper team captain. Edge tells Angle not to worry about last week as they won, which was all that really mattered anyways. Relieved by his response, Angle thanks Edge before offering to be in Christian’s corner tonight against Rollins, but Christian declines explaining that he think Rollins is actually serious about isolating himself from Age of the Fall this week, but he’d like them to be ready backstage just in case something does happen. Angle and Edge agree before wishing Christian good luck tonight as we head back to the ring for our next match.

Match #2: Singles Match - 10-Minute Time Limit
Brodie Lee w/ Jimmy Jacobs vs. Kevin Owens (c)
Ring of Honor Television Championship Match
Lee has an opportunity to bring more gold to Age of the Fall tonight if he can defeat the RoH Television Champion. Both men really give it their all in this one as Lee gives Owens arguably his toughest opponent to date since winning the title in his RoH debut and it shows as this match almost goes the distance. The end of this match comes when Lee goes for a Discuss Lariat, but Owens ducks it and goes for the KO Stunner. Lee is able to get out of the stunner attempt, but Jacobs has hopped up on the apron figuring Owens was about to go for a pinfall. As Lee pushes himself back away from KO’s Stunner, he bumps in to Jimmy Jacobs, knocking him off the apron and sending him crashing down to the floor! Lee turns his attention to Jacobs, confused as to why he was on the apron, and this gives Owens enough time to rush over to Lee and try the KO Stunner again. This time though, the move connects and Owens pins Lee to retain his title.
WINNER & STIIILLLLLL RoH TELEVISION CHAMPION: Kevin Owens by pinfall @ 9:14.
Owens celebrates in the middle of the ring as Jacobs heads back in to the ring to check on Brodie Lee and apologize for what just happened. Lee however is visibly upset that Jacobs had essentially cost him the match, and pushes him aside, storming off to the backstage area as the cracks in the foundation of Age of the Fall are now really starting to show.

We head backstage to see Alicia Atout is sitting down with the new RoH World Tag Team Champions, Michael Elgin and Jay Lethal. Alicia congratulates them on winning the tag titles last week, before asking the question that has been on everyone’s minds since last Friday, which is “Why?” Lethal begins to speak, but Elgin asks if he can take the question to which Lethal obliges. Elgin says that the two of them decided to team up after they were eliminated in the World Heavyweight Championship tournament because they weren’t happy with the RoH roster’s lack of both “Original talent” and the abandonment of the “Code of Honor” which this company was originally founded on. Elgin says they shared mutual visions for the company and knew very early in to their partnership that they had what it took to become the Tag Team Champions, but things changed for them after Age of the Fall found a way to bully themselves in to the tag championship final and they both realized that the Code of Honor really is dead. Lethal explains that they soon realized they weren’t trying to re-establish a Code of Honor in RoH, what they were doing was subconsciously living in the past. Lethal says he walks these halls and he sees new faces on a weekly occurrence. He sees few real RoH “Originals” in the back anymore that that helped them realize that the RoH they knew is dead, so they decided why fight the honorless tactics in the company when they could be just like everyone else and actually get ahead, so they saw their opportunity and they took it. Alicia asks Lethal if they plan on giving the Motor City Machine Guns a rematch, but before Lethal can respond, Elgin simply say “No”. The Champions then get up and walk away as the scene fades.

We see Austin Aries walking backstage looking for his girlfriend Scarlett Bordeaux. Aries sees Matt Cross standing near a catering table and asks him if he’s seen Scarlett, to which Rush points off screen to the left. Aries looks over and his face becomes filled with rage as the camera pans over to see Scarlett sitting down with Eddie Edwards. Aries rushes over and scolds Scarlett for being with Edwards, stating he had been worried sick about her. Scarlett confused asks Aries what the problem is before saying she was just catching up with an old friend, to which Edwards calmly reminds Aries that he’s a happily married man. Not satisfied with either of their responses but knowing he’s going to look foolish either way, Aries scold Scarlett and demands she leave with him, to which and embarrassed Scarlett obliges, but not before apologizing to Eddie Edwards for Aries’ scene. As Aries walks off with a very unimpressed Scarlett, he notices Matt Cross snickering over by the catering table. Enraged and feeling foolish, Aries levels Cross with a hard right hand before dumping the catering table on top of him before storming off as Eddie Edwards rushes over to Cross’ aid.

Match #3: Singles Match
Joey Mercury vs. Ken Kennedy
Mercury is out alone for the first time and looking nervous as he should be. Kennedy came in to this match fired up as he has waited a long time to get his hands on Joey Mercury only to have Age of the Fall get involved every single time. Kennedy make this one look easy as he absolutely demolishes Joey Mercury from start to finish much to the crowd’s delight. After inflicting enough punishment on his opponent, Kennedy finishes him off with a Mic Check for the 3 count, finally getting a victory over Joey Mercury in a singles match.
Winner: Ken Kennedy by pinfall @11:02
Kennedy goes to leave the ring, but the crowd’s chants of “ONE MORE TIME” stop him in his tracks. Feeling a need to inflict more punishment on the man who has been a thorn in his side for the better part of 3 months now, Kennedy concedes to the crowd’s demands and lays Mercury out with another Mic Check before leaving the ring while Mauro and Tazz discuss Age of the Fall’s terrible luck tonight and how this may effect Seth Rollin’s State of the Fall Address next week as we fade out to our final commercial break of the evening.
***COMMERCIAL***
We return from commercial break as Mauro and Tazz inform us that Eric Bischoff will be naming a General Manager next week to oversee RoH on a weekly basis as he takes some time away for “important RoH related business”.

Main Event: Singles Match
Christian vs. Seth Rollins (c)
Ring of Honor World Heavyweight Championship Match
This match is an absolute barn burner! Rollins and Christian put on a clinic together in what was by far the longest yet most entertaining match on a night with some fairly short matches on it. Rollins had control early on, but Christian was also able to get his fair share of offense in as this match maintained an even pace throughout for the most part. A near fall for Christian as he counters an Avada Kedavra attempt from the Champion in to a Killswitch but only manages to get a 2 count.
You could hear the collective groans from the crowd who honestly believed they were about to see title change at that moment. With the crowd rallying behind Christian and cheering for him to become the next RoH Champion, Christian spends some time working on Rollins, who for the first time in quite a while looks to be beaten down and no longer confident in his abilities. The end of the match comes when Christan, having Rollins down after a Spear, calls for another Killswitch. He picks Rollins up, but Rollins is able to reverse the move and nail Christian with a Revolution-Knee before setting up and nailing The Stomp for the pinfall to retain his Championship in an incredible match!
WINNER & STIIIILLLLL RoH WORLD HEAVYWEIGHT CHAMPION: Seth Rollins by pinfall @ 25:37.
Rollins celebrates in the ring as the crowd boo’s. They may night have liked the end result, but there is no denying Rollins’ performance in his first title defense against Team Angle. Rollins continues to celebrate in the ring as Mauro and Tazz hype next week’s State of the Fall Address as well as Eric Bischoff’s new GM announcement for next week. RoH Wrestling slowly fades off the air with the Champion still holding his title high.
***END OF THE SHOW***
