AEW Dynamite
September 12, 2019
Live from the Toyota Center in Houston, TX
AEW Dynamite opens up to an impressive pyro display on the stage and above the ring. We pan to a shot of the live crowd holding various signs like “Why, Kenny, Why?” and “Mark Henry for President.” We head ringside to Don Callis and Kevin Kelly who begin to recap last weeks shocking ending of Dynamite where Sting accused Kenny Omega of assaulting him before Sting’s scheduled match against current AEW World Champion, Killer Kross. We then get a rundown of some things to expect for tonight’s show.
Match 1
Lance Archer v. Mike Kanellis w/ Maria
This match saw “The American Psycho” Lance Archer victimize poor Mike Kanellis for the majority of the match. Despite Kanellis attempting to make a big comeback, he was unable to put the brakes on Archer who ended the match with a brutal crucifix powerbomb for the victory. After the match, Archer continued to beat down Kanellis until Maria ran into the ring. Maria tried pushing Archer off of Kanellis, but Archer NAILS A HUGE BOOT TO MARIA! The crowd is booing viciously as Archer smirks before walking off.
Winner: Lance Archer by pinfall
We see the GM, Mark Henry, walking backstage on the big screen as the fans cheer. Suddenly, he’s met by the AEW National Champion.
Burke pulls his face cover off and begins yelling at Henry. He says that Tony Nese defeating him last week was nothing but a fluke. He tells Henry that the win meant nothing, and therefore, Burke demands that Henry not consider Tony Nese to be next in line for a title shot. Henry smiles and says fair is fair. He says a win over a champion elevates that wrestler into the upper echelon of contenders, and he says Tony Nese is hungry. Henry calls it “good business” for Tony Nese to get a shot at the National Championship, and says that’s exactly what’s going to happen at Fight for the Fallen. Burke yells out of frustration before walking off.

Match 2
Drew McIntyre v. Tommasso Ciampa
This match had the fans on the edge of their seats! The nasty and brutish McIntyre had a difficult time competing against the crafty Tommasso Ciampa who has an equal amount of passion and intensity. The difference between the competitors in this match is that McIntyre seemed a bit overconfident in his abilities, which gave Ciampa the opportunity to come close to finishing off McIntyre. That momentum was stopped by…
LOGAN SHULO! With a huge guitar shot to McIntyre! The referee calls for the bell and the crowd is giving a strong mixed reaction towards Shulo. He then turns his attention to Ciampa…
HUGE SWINGING NECKBREAKER! Shulo stands in the center of the ring with his arms extended, receiving a huge mixed reaction from the crowd. Keep in mind, McIntyre had some harsh words for Shulo a couple weeks ago, so some may believe that Shulo’s interference was justified. Nevertheless, it seems that Shulo has marked his territory.
Winner: Drew McIntyre by disqualification

Match 3
Equal Nation Devastation v. Jurassic Express
This is the E.N.D.’s first match together as a unit since they sent Kofi Kingston packing. Luchasaurus and Jungle Boy are now joined by a much smaller boy, Marko Stunt. This match was quite competitive despite the drive behind E.N.D. Both of these six man tags showed a lot of passion in this match with Jungle Boy and Marko Stunt displaying death-defying high flying maneuvers. The sheer brute force of E.N.D. was not enough for Jurassic Express to overcome despite the size of Luchasaurus. The finish of the match saw Big E connect with the Big Ending on Marko Stunt for the victory.
Winners: Equal Nation Devastation (Big E, Xavier Woods, Moose)
“Switchblade” Jay White is backstage ranting to the interviewer. He says that the fans and AEW management are failing to recognize his talent and ability. He says if he doesn’t start getting the recognition he deserves, he’ll take his talent to another company. White curses the interviewer before storming off.
Match 4
Jordynne Grace v. Gail Kim
At the opening bell, both women went immediately into a collar and elbow tie up and traded offense for several minutes with Gail Kim getting the better of the number one contender for the AEW Women’s Championship. The momentum began to shift when Gail Kim went to the top rope and attempted a missile dropkick, but Jordynne caught Gail in mid air and went on to deliver a massive powerslam for the near fall. After several more minutes of back and forth action, Jordynne Grace was able to put away Gail Kim with the Fall From Grace. After the match, Jordynne Grace motioned around her waist yelling expletives towards Tessa Blanchard, hyping their match at Fight for the Fallen.
Winner: Jordynne Grace by pinfall

We come back from commercial break to find “The Villain” Marty Scurll in the ring. He says that the time has come and he’s ready to confront Joey Ryan once and for all. Scurll provokes Ryan reasserting the fact that he’s a “stalker” and that he’s pretty sure he even saw Ryan hiding in a bush outside of his house over the weekend. He says that he doesn’t know why Ryan is so captivated by him, but he’s ready to break Ryan’s neck and send him back to his studio apartment for good.
Joey Ryan comes strutting down the ramp with a mic in hand. He doesn’t wait to get to the ring to begin trash talking Scurll. He says his motivations are simple. He says Scurll is a villain, and he doesn’t like bad guys. Ryan asserts that it’s his mission to eliminate Scurll from AEW because this company is a “villain-free zone.” Scurll looks perplexed at Ryan’s words as Ryan slides into the ring. Both men stand face to face before Ryan takes a cheap at Scurll with the mic! He begins pummelling Scurll in the center of the ring as the fans reign down the boos. We’ve never seen this level of intensity from Joey Ryan before. As Scurll lies motionless on the mat, Ryan grabs the mic and challenges Scurll to their final showdown at Fight for the Fallen...a street fight! Ryan shoves the blowpop in Scurll’s mouth before walking off as the fans boo relentlessly.

We come back from commercial and get a recap of the Good Brothers segment from last week. In the segment, they state that they are going to put their tag team championships on the line for any team in AEW who wants a crack at them. This leads us to going down to the ring for our main event of the evening.
The Good Brothers stand in anticipation of who is going to answer their open challenge….
PCO AND BRODY KING - THE KROSS KULT! The fans begin to boo as the Good Brothers look at each other a bit concerned. The Kult make their way to the ring and remove their entrance gear, ready to fight.
Match 5
Main Event
AEW World Tag Team Championships
Kross Kult (PCO/King) v. Good Brothers (c)
The bell sounds and this match is underway. King and Gallows start things off as the two heavy hitters trade blows in the center of the ring. The crowd is firmly behind Gallows and Anderson. The commentators remind us that if PCO and King pull off the win, all of the Kross Kult will be holding gold. Several minutes elapse and we have Anderson and PCO in the ring duking it out. Anderson is able to hit several impressive moves including a shining wizard and an impactful lariat. PCO is able to use his strength advantage to turn the tides with a powerbomb nearly driving Anderson through the mat. Anderson is able to tag in Gallows who comes in like a man possessed, taking out PCO and King, who attempted to enter the match illegally. The finish of the match came when Gallows was thrown out of the ring by PCO. This allowed PCO to hit a nasty piledriver on Anderson incapacitating him. Gallows rolled back into the ring, and ate another nasty piledriver from PCO, who climbed to the top and hit the PCO-SAULT! 1….2…..annnnd 3! New tag team champions.
Winners and NEW AEW World Tag Team Champions: The Kross Kult (PCO/Brody King)
PCO and Brody King celebrate in the center of the ring as the fans fill the arena with boos. PCO and King parade around the ring holding their newly won championships up in the air. Killer Kross runs out to the ring with James Mitchell in tow. The entire Kross Kult begin celebrating PCO and King’s achievement, until the celebration is cut short…
As “Hangman” Adam Page makes his way to the ring to a big pop. He gets in the ring fearlessly despite the entire Kross Kult being there. Page facetiously congratulates PCO and Brody King on their victory, but he says there’s business to take care of. Page says he’s been trying to get to the bottom of all the drama surrounding the Kross Kult and that tonight we’re going to get answers. Page first calls Kenny Omega to the ring.
Kenny makes his way out to a bit of a mixed reaction in light of Sting’s allegations against him. Kenny gets in the ring and grabs the mic. He thanks Adam Page for creating such a diplomatic platform to get to the bottom of things. Kenny reminds the fans that Sting has made a ridiculous claim against him, that claim being that Kenny incapacitated Sting before his schedule match against Killer Kross several weeks ago. Kenny states that he’s waiting for Sting to come out to clear the air.
“The Icon” Sting appears on the stage as the fans go wild! He makes his way to the ring and begins talking to Kenny as the Kross Kult stand out of the way, watching on. Sting says he doesn’t know Kenny very well but he does know that Kenny had to be the one to use the chloroform-laden rag to prevent him from facing Kross because of the words spoken as Sting was fading. Kenny assures Sting that he wasn’t the one to do it. Kenny says that he dedicated his life for weeks to taking down Kross and winning the AEW World Championship, but he just didn’t measure up. Sting and Omega seem to bury the hatchet and shake hands, as the fans applaud.
Page gets back on the mic and says there’s one other piece of business to take care of. Page steps up to Kross. He claims that he isn’t capable of taking down Kross and the entire Kross Kult single-handedly. He says that maybe he isn’t ready to be AEW World Champion, but he’s damn sure sick and tired of Kross and his goons throwing their weight around which is why THIS man is coming to AEW…
The fans sit in silence and anticipation….and then "Flight of the Valkyries" hits the PA SYSTEM...
OH. MY. GOD! It’s DANIEL BRYAN! Daniel Bryan is in All Elite Wrestling! The roof of the arena becomes unglued as Bryan makes his way down the ramp, and Kross is furious! Bryan hits the ring and goes straight for Kross and Sting and Page take on PCO and Brody King! The fans are going absolutely insane as Bryan is getting the better of Kross in the corner! Kross, PCO, and Brody King roll out of the ring and grab their championships before slowly making their way up the ramp, leaving Sting, Page, Bryan, and Omega in the ring. Page and Sting hug it out as they yell that the Kross Kult is going down!
Then…
V-TRIGGER TO PAGE!
V-TRIGGER TO STING!
The fans cheers turn into nuclear levels of heat as Kenny Omega stands in the center of the ring, head tilted to the side, with a possessed look in his eyes. The fans begin filling the ring with trash as Kenny Omega salutes the Kross Kult who are standing on the stage. It appears that Sting was right all along - Kenny is a traitor! Kross nods with a psychotic smile written across his face. Kenny begins flipping off the audience as Don Callis and Kevin Kelly are in an uproar.
Kenny turns around, only to hit the huge KNEE STRIKE from Daniel Bryan! The crowd is going wild - half with excitement, and half with a "what the hell is going on?!" view things!
Kenny turns around, only to hit the huge KNEE STRIKE from Daniel Bryan! The crowd is going wild - half with excitement, and half with a "what the hell is going on?!" view things!
AEW Dynamite goes off the air with the Kross Kult standing on the stage, furious at Daniel Bryan's massive debut. Bryan stands in the center of the ring, pointing at Kross, yelling "you're going down!"
Besides this huge event, we have to wonder - were Sting’s allegations against Kenny Omega true? It’s definitely starting to seem that way as Kenny Omega shows his approval towards the Kross Kult. But what about the match Kross and Omega had at Fyter Fest? And....what the hell is Daniel Bryan doing in AEW?! Until next week...
