AEW Dynamite
September 5, 2019
Live from the Charleston Coliseum in Charleston, West Virginia
AEW Dynamite opens up to an impressive pyro display on the stage and above the ring. We pan to a shot of the live crowd holding various signs like “Why, Kenny, Why?” and “Mark Henry for President.” We head ringside to Don Callis and Kevin Kelly who begin to recap last weeks shocking ending of Dynamite where Sting accused Kenny Omega of assaulting him before Sting’s scheduled match against current AEW World Champion, Killer Kross. We then get a rundown of some things to expect for tonight’s show.
Unexpectedly, Killer Kross appears on the microphone without his menacing theme music and dark lighting that usually accompanies his presence. The rest of the Kross Kult are not with him. Kross begins to speak from the stage as boos reign down.
Kross sarcastically welcomes everyone to Dynamite. He says there’s no better way to start the show than with the World Champion himself. He says Sting’s comments from last week are very “interesting” and he’s certainly interested in finding out more. He brings up the fact that Sting attacked him at Fyter Fest. Kross says he doesn’t like what Sting is implying about Kenny Omega “protecting” someone. Kross says that he’s the World Champion for a reason and he proved at Fyter Fest that he’s the strongest force in the entire world of pro wrestling.
Then, Hangman Adam Page appears on the big screen to a big pop! He says Kross has been up to no good and he’s damn sick and tired of sitting back and watching it happen. Hangman says it’s about time somebody knocked that grin off Killer’s face and he’ll happily be that guy. He challenges Kross to a match TONIGHT...and Kross accepts it! Our main event for the evening is set.

Match 1
The Forgotten Sons v. oVe
The Forgotten Sons are making their debut tonight against oVe in this big six man tag team match. We saw a lot of powerful offense from the Forgotten Sons who seemed to get a lot of fan support behind them using their explosive offense on the dislikeable team of oVe. Ultimately, the Forgotten Sons got the big win when the menacing Ryker hit the Gun Rack on Dave Crist a little over eight minutes into the match.
Winners: The Forgotten Sons by pinfall
Marty Scurll is backstage. He says that everywhere he goes, Joey Ryan is there. He says he sees Ryan in his mind when he’s eating, when he’s at the gym, even when he’s sleeping. He says Ryan is an egomaniac who is obsessed with him. He refers to Ryan as a “stalker.” Scurll showed a lot of frustration in this promo, blaming Joey Ryan stopping Scurll from gaining momentum towards his goals in AEW. He says if Ryan wants to fight, meet him in the ring next week. No rules. No referees. Just a good old fashioned ass kicking.
Match 2
Drew McIntyre v. Rich Swann
The energetic Rich Swann stood across the ring from the towering “Scottish Psychopath” Drew McIntyre ready for the bell to sound. As soon as it did, McIntyre charged at Swann and nearly decapitated him with a Claymore Kick. McIntyre pinned Swann and got the victory in less than ten seconds. A statement made by McIntyre, much to the dismay of the loveable Rich Swann.
Winner: Drew McIntyre by pinfall
The AEW World Tag Team Champions, The Good Brothers, are standing backstage. They mention how there’s been a lack of challengers for them in AEW. They state that they are the epitome of what an elite tag team should be. Apparently, they are feeling generous and state that they will defend their titles against ANY team who is willing to step up, next week on Dynamite!
Match 3
Elijah Burke v. “The Premier Athlete” Tony Nese
The National Champion, Elijah Burke, went into this match extremely confident. Tony Nese went into this match hungry. For the majority of the match, we saw Burke wear down Nese in the center of the ring with brief shines from Nese, only to be shut down. The crowd actually started getting behind Tony Nese in this contest after Burke used several illegal tactics such as raking the eyes and using the ropes for leverage. The end of this match saw Tony Nese seize the opportunity by getting the roll-up on Burke for the HUGE upset victory!!!
Winner: “The Premier Athlete” Tony Nese by pinfall
After the match, Tony Nese looked shocked and the crowd was solidly behind him. Burke didn’t take kindly to this as he performed a post-match beatdown on Nese, who Burke loudly declared “got lucky.”
COMMERCIAL BREAK
We come back from break to find the AEW Women’s Champion, Tessa Blanchard, with a mic. She begins talking about how great she is and how she sent Beth Phoenix back to the nursing home. She says that she was informed that her next challenger will be revealed next week. Tessa claims that it doesn’t matter who it is, she’ll be victorious. Suddenly…
Jordynne Grace hits the stage and poses as the crowd cheers. She runs down the ramp and into the ring and her and Tessa begin duking it out! Jordynne successfully nails the Fall From Grace on Tessa. She then picks up the mic and says we don’t have to wait till next week to find out, and that SHE’S next in line for the AEW Women’s title.
Match 4
Michael Elgin v. Tomasso Ciampa
This was Ciampa’s debut match for AEW and the crowd was excited to see him. From the sound of the bell, both men struggled to gain the advantage over the other. Ciampa was able to use his technical prowess to avoid serious damage from Elgin until Elgin connected with a big lariat. After several more minutes of being in control, Ciampa was able to regain the momentum and hit the Fairy Tale Ending on Elgin for a huge win in his debut match.
Winner: Tommaso Ciampa by pinfall

COMMERCIAL BREAK
We go backstage where Kenny Omega is sitting. He states that Sting making accusations against him is something that he would have never expected. Kenny states that he’s not sure why Sting is making this claims against him, but they are one-hundred percent false. Kenny states that he isn’t trying to protect anyone at Sting’s expense and would never stop him from facing off against Killer Kross. Kenny invites Sting to Dynamite next week so they can discuss this in person. Kenny ends the segment by saying “hope to see you then, Stinger.”
Match 5
Main Event
Main Event
“Hangman” Adam Page v. AEW World Champion, Killer Kross
In possibly his biggest match in AEW yet, “Hangman” Adam Page wasted no time starting off this contest with a flurry of strikes to the head of Kross. The powerful Kross shoved Page back with ease, before running at him and connecting with a big boot. From this point, Kross was able to maintain control of the match by dissecting the head and neck of Hangman using various submission holds and strikes to weaken him for the finish. That didn’t stop Hangman from making a big comeback, and as he went for a dropkick, Kross ducked and Page inadvertently struck the ref.
Like clockwork, PCO comes running out much to the disdain of the crowd. As boos fill the arena, PCO runs in the ring and takes down Page with a huge running spear, before going to the top rope…
AND HITTING THE PCO-SAULT! The crowd is furious as PCO rolls out of the ring. Kross gets a hold of Hangman and hits a devastating Doomsday Saito! Kross shakes the ref who conveniently recollects himself just in time for Kross to get the win.
Winner: Killer Kross by pinfall
After the match, Page is on the outside of the ring holding his neck and his sternum. He grabs a microphone as the Tollman’s theme dies down.
“Hey, Kross! Listen and listen real good. I knew when I walked into this match it wouldn’t be me against you, it’d be me against the Kross Kult. And you know what? I failed. I’m man enough to stand here and admit it. So maybe...just maaaaybe...it’s time to call for reinforcements. We’ll see you next week, champ!”
And with that, Page drops the mic leaving Killer Kross and PCO standing in the ring, perplexed. AEW Dynamite goes off the air leaving us ready for next week’s action-packed episode. Who is Page talking about? Until next week...
