Lance Cade & Trevor Murdoch vs. The Mountie & The Blue Blazer
This the first of four qualifying matches for a spot in next week’s Fatal Fourway Tag Team #1 Contender’s Match. Lance Cade and Trevor Murdoch receive a big pop from the fans. Conversely, The Mountie and The Blue Blazer receive a chorus of boos. The action starts off slowly with Cade and The Mountie feeling each other out. They trade headlocks, wristlocks and armbars. The Mountie goes for an early dropkick, but Cade clings to the ropes to avoid it, then hits The Mountie with a running clothesline and tags Murdoch into the match. A double suplex sets up Murdoch for a short chain of offensive maneuvers. However, The Mountie leap frogs over a back body drop set up and tags out. A “You’re Owen Hart!” chant grows louder and louder as the Blue Blazer comes into the ring and gains the advantage after a few chops and an enziguri kick – a classic Owen Hart maneuver. The Blue Blazer gets thrown off of his game, noticeably bothered by the chants and gestures and screams emphatically, “No! No! No!” The match continues with each team trading the advantage until Cade and Murdoch appear to be about to win it. They execute Sweet ‘n Sour on The Mountie, but before a pin can be made, the Blue Blazer gives Cade a gutwrench suplex and then dropkicks Murdoch through the ropes to the floor. The Blue Blazer takes him out with a plancha. Back in the ring, Cade and The Mountie both recover. Cade goes for a superkick, but The Mountie ducks out of the way. When Cade turns around, The Mountie gives him a two-handed sit-out chokeslam and pins him for the win!
Official Decision: The Mountie & The Blue Blazer win by pinfall

ODB vs. Awesome Kong w/ Trish Stratus
Trish Stratus joins Ed Whalen and Lord Alfred Hayes as the announce table for this match. She spends the entire match putting over herself and talking down her JOURNEY TO GREATNESS opponents, Gail Kim and Fabulous Moolah, and talking about how dangerous Awesome Kong is compared to Chyna. ODB, in addition to being one dirty broad, is a tough, unpredictable broad. However, Awesome Kong is not someone for whom toughness and unpredictability alone will be able to conquer. ODB does a good job of hanging into the match early. Again, she’s tough, and goes toe-to-toe with Kong, throwing fists. ODB goes for an early Bronco Muncher, but that proves to be a critical mistake as Kong gets a foot up and it catches ODB right in the gut as she charges in. From this point on, it’s purely academic for Kong, who dishes out some mean, punishing moves and looks to finish her off with an Awesome Bomb. However, Kong gets up at the count of two. She’s not done. She gives ODB a second Awesome Bomb, then climbs up to the top rope and lands an Amazing Press splash! She gets up and pins ODB, nonchalantly with a single foot on her abdomen. 1…2…3!
Official Decision: Awesome Kong wins by pinfall
Lance Storm and Tyson Kidd enter their dressing room to find Owen Hart wearing nothing but a towel. He just finished showering. Storm mentions that he thinks it is a strange time to decide to shower. Hart tells them that the trainers just cleared him to resume exercise training and so he just completed his first cardio workout since suffering a throat injury at the hands of “Killer” Karl Krupp. Kidd wonders out loud whether his cardio workout involved suplexing some Texan rednecks. Hart asks him what that comment is supposed to mean. Storm tells him that The Hurricane claims that he is the Blue Blazer. Hart denies it, but mentions that he now understands why he heard the crowd chanting his name earlier on, when he was cooling down from his workout. He tries to reassure them that he is not the Blue Blazer and that it makes absolutely no sense, stating that if he were the Blue Blazer, he would not have tried to free Storm and Kidd from their captivity back in the winter (they were each ‘arrested’ by The Mountie and the Blue Blazer for committed acts of theft). Then he says to prove that he’s on their side, he’s going to quickly get dressed and join them at ringside for their match against the Montréal Mafia, so that they don’t try to cheat their way to victory. That match is coming up just after the commercial break.
*Commercial Break 2*
Jeremy Borash is backstage with Bad Influence to a word with the now former North American Tag Team Champions. They tell Borash that it is an insult to them that Commissioner Billy Two Rivers decided to hold qualifying matches to decide on new number one contenders to the North American Tag Team Titles when they were so clearly robbed of the titles last week and deserve an immediate rematch for the belts. They say that all of the Californiacation fans out there have been bitterly depressed for the past week and that slighting Bad Influence in this fashion will only serve to make the legions of Californiacators even more upset than they are already. However, “Classy” Freddie Blassie then enters the seen and tells them not to worry about the tag team titles right now. They are entitled to a rematch as stipulated by the former champion’s clause in their contracts, but now is not the time for it. First, they must concern themselves with fulfilling a task that serves the greater good of the Illuminati before they worry about their own individual pursuits – and that is eradicating the Montréal Mafia from AGPW! They agree with Blassie and say that after the Mafia is gone for good, that’s when they’ll give the fans permission to worship the again!
w/ VS. w/
Lance Storm & Tyson Kidd vs. Montréal Mafia w/ Frenchy Martin
Owen Hart has joined his fellow Calgarians at ringside so as to make sure that their opponents do not try to cheat their way to victory, or so he says. Lance Storm and Tyson Kidd appear to be paying nearly as much attention to Hart’s whereabouts and what he is up to at ringside, perhaps a sign that they’ve lost trust in him for any number of reasons ranging from setting them up to be annihilated by the AWA Tag Team Champions, Miracle Violence Connection, or the rumour that he is the Blue Blazer. This lack of focus works greatly to the advantage of Dino Bravo and Mad Dog Vachon, who treat Tyson Kidd like a punching bag for a large portion of the match. However, Kidd telegraphs a back body drop attempt from Mad Dog Vachon by landing on his feet and then takes him down with a wicked roundhouse right! Kidd is slow to take advantage of it and Vachon stops him from getting to his corner. He tries to give Kidd a release German suplex, but again, Kidd lands on his feet, then strikes with a running dropkick that sends Vachon into the corner. Kidd runs in and executes a spinning heel kick, while flipping over the top rope to the ring apron. While he hits this move, Lance Storm makes the tag. He comes in and hip tosses Vachon out of the corner. Kidd then executes a slingshot guillotine leg drop. Vachon turns over after that move, so Storm follows it up with an Oklahoma roll pin, but Bravo breaks it up. He then runs over and punches Kidd off of the ring apron. This draws Owen Hart up onto the ring apron. The referee blocks him from entering the ring. Storm also stops him and tells him to get down. As they argue, Bravo drags Vachon to his corner and slaps his own hands together, loudly, to make the phantom tag. Then, he runs in and attacks Storm from behind. He beats Storm down with a series of power moves. After dropping him to the mat with a gorilla press slam. Bravo pins and gets a 2-count. He picks up Storm and whips him to the ropes. He goes for a clothesline, but Storm ducks it. Kidd makes the blind tag. Storm tries a cross-body block, but Bravo catches him and gives him a side backbreaker, followed by a second one before releasing him. However, when Bravo gets back to his feet, Kidd leaps off of the top turnbuckle and takes him down with the Code Blue! Mad Dog Vachon enters the ring and runs at him, but Kidd takes him down with a hurricanrana and then gives him a baseball slide kick to send him out of the ring. Kidd then waits for and executes a springboard tornado DDT on Bravo! He applies the sharpshooter as Hart yells not to do it and instead go for the pin. However, it proves to be the right decision, as Bravo taps out, giving Storm and Kidd the win! Although he seems annoyed by Kidd’s decision, he quickly changes his expression to one of happiness and enters the ring to raise the hands of both Storm and Kidd, who advance to next week’s #1 contender’s match.
Official Decision: Lance Storm & Tyson Kidd win by submission

VS.
Samoa Joe vs. Chris Hero
This is an exciting Ring of Honor styled matchup to make the indie fans happy. Samoa Joe and Chris Hero fight a stiff contest featuring plenty of knife-edge chops, a variety of kicks, and knee and elbow strikes. Of course, they sprinkle in some suplexes and stretch each other out with some submission holds, as well. It’s a lengthy match that also sees the action spill out to the floor, highlighted by springboard corkscrew plancha by Hero and, later on, a suicide dive by Joe. The fans are very appreciative of the efforts of both men. The match nears 10-minutes in length when Hero tries to end it with the Hangman’s Elbow. Joe sees it coming and ducks at the last moment, then grabs Hero and executes a bridging dragon suplex! Hero manages to kick out. Joe whips him into the corner, then charges in but gets met with a bicycle kick! Hero pins. 1…2… kick out! Hero sets up Joe for another try at the Hangman’s Elbow, but Joe avoids it again and this time immediately locks on the Coquina Clutch! Hero taps out to give Joe the win!
Official Decision: Samoa Joe wins by submission
As Joe’s hand is being raised, Dean Malenko comes up and cuts off his music and win celebration to address Joe’s comments last week, saying that he has no right to call out Malenko, regardless of any comments he’s made about or directed towards Joe. Malenko says that he can say whatever he wants about Joe’s ‘less than impressive’ undefeated streak because he’s earned the right as the first ever AGPW International Heavyweight Champion. However, Joe has no right to talk back to him because he’s a nobody whose biggest accomplishment to date was defeating Ezekiel Jackson. However, as Malenko has proven, beating Jackson is no big deal. So Malenko tells Joe that he ought to put a cork in it or risk ending up on the bad side of the “Iceman.” As Malenko finishes and turns to leave, Joe grabs a microphone and tells Malenko that if he wants to shut him up, he’ll have to come down to the ring and force his mouth shut. So, Malenko comes down to the ring and the crowd starts to get hot at the prospect of a fist fight between these two. Sure enough, Malenko enters the ring and they start to exchange blows. The exchange ends with Joe getting Malenko in the Coquina Clutch! He taps pretty quickly and Joe releases him as soon as he does. After that, while Joe is walking away from the ring, Malenko attacks him from behind with a chair. He hits him a few times and then locks in the Texas cloverleaf until security and other AGPW officials can pull him off of Joe.
Our cameras go backstage to find Christian Cage just arriving at the arena. He has a very determined look in his eye and he’s walking very quickly. SoCal Val sees him and asks for a moment to do an interview, but he just continues to walk and says that he’s too busy, right now. One has to assume that he’s on a mission to get his International Heavyweight Championship title belt back! Where is he going? Will he get his title belt back? I think we’ll find out after the commercial break!
*Commercial Break 4*
Yes, here comes the International Heavyweight Champion, Christian Cage! He reaches the ring and begins to cut a promo disparaging the “Million Dollar Man” Ted DiBiase for stealing his championship title belt from him. Cage says that even though he doesn’t deserve it, if it’s a title shot that DiBiase wants, then he’ll give it to him if that means he can get his belt back. Oh, and by the way, you had better trust that he’ll get his belt back because Captain Charisma is a million times the wrestler the Million Dollar Man is.
At this point in time, Commissioner Billy Two Rivers arrives on the scene and tells Cage that what happened at the end of last week’s show was a travesty. It was an act of crime for which he is truly sorry. As Commissioner of AGPW, Two Rivers feels responsible for what occurred as it is his job to prevent such things from happening. He announces that as soon as he is able to get the title belt back, he will return it to the rightful champion. And as for Ted DiBiase, he is not the International Heavyweight Champion, and will hereby be suspended indefinitely for stealing the rightful champion’s title belt.
It looks like the “Million Dollar Man” Ted DiBiase, with his bodyguard Virgil, has something to say about it. He is wearing the championship gold as he strolls down the entrance aisle, claiming to be the rightful holder of the International Heavyweight Championship due to a financial transaction that took place inside of that very ring last week, in which DiBiase obtained the title for the sum of one Sir Robert Borden ($100 Canadian dollars). Two Rivers demands that he turn the title over to the Commissioner or else he’ll be forced to call on security to remove it from DiBiase’s waist with force. DiBiase says that he won’t do that and that he doesn’t have to do that because the new era of the Million Dollar Heavyweight Champion has been approved and is fully endorsed by a higher power than Commission Two Rivers.
It’s Cyrus, the representative of The Network! He’s making his first appearance of AGPW television is about 2 months. He’s been silent and invisible as of late because The Network has felt that Commissioner Two Rivers has been doing a good job of cultivating television ratings, recently. However, The Network does not endorse his decision to suspend the “Million Dollar Man” Ted DiBiase, as The Network feels that would have an immediate negative impact on this show’s television ratings and it would severely damage The Network’s bottom line. Plus, The Network strongly believes that what is best for business is a continued, healthy working relationship with the Million Dollar Man – an allusion to the notion that perhaps they have business ties – and feels that a pay-per-view title match between Christian Cage and Ted DiBiase is what’s best for business!
It’s the Stone Cold son of a bitch, himself, the Mash-Up World Heavyweight Champion, Stone Cold Steve Austin! He runs right down the entrance aisle and attacks the Million Dollar Man! Virgil tries to stop him, but he gets a Stone Cold Stunner for his troubles! The Million Dollar Man is trying to find a way to escape and hold onto the International Heavyweight Championship at the same time, but he gets caught between Austin and Cage! He has nowhere to go until…
“Macho Man” Randy Savage arrives and slugs Stone Cold in the back of the head with a steel chair! The crowd turns on Savage for that. Cage is about to pounce on DiBiase, but just then Virgil gets up and the Million Dollar Man throws him at Cage, turns and runs away with the International Heavyweight Championship title belt still around his waist. Cage takes care of Virgil, then stops Savage from continuing his beatdown on Austin to ask him why he did that, noting that it allowed DiBiase to run off with his title. Savage doesn’t care about Cage’s problems and tells him Austin had to get payback for giving him the Stone Cold Stunner last week. Cage tells him not to be so selfish. For that, Cage gets a his eyes poked out and then gets thrown into the guardrail! Finally, security arrives on the scene to get Savage off of Cage. While they try to regain order, Austin cuts through the crowd of security officials to get a shot in on Savage. It takes every man around to pry Austin and Savage apart as we head to commercial break. Immediately following the break, Ed Whalen announces that the Commissioner has announced a blockbuster tag team match for next week’s main event: Stone Cold Steve Austin & Christian Cage will face “Macho Man” Randy Savage & “Million Dollar Man” Ted DiBiase!

The Hurricane & Rosey w/ Mighty Molly vs. Magnus & Cesaro w/ Maryse Ouellet
Although they seem to have been at odds with one another in recent weeks, Magnus and Cesaro are back together and competing for a spot in next week’s Fatal Fourway Tag Team #1 Contender’s Match. The Hurricane and Rosey seem to have turned a new page recently and are starting to rack up a few victories. This one is a very entertaining and competitive match. Big spots like a Very European Uppercut by Cesaro on the 400-pound Rosey, Rosey giving Magnus and Cesaro a pair of Samoan drops virtually seconds apart – including landing Cesaro on top of Magnus – and The Hurricane hitting a somersault plancha on both Magnus and Cesaro all add up to a “This is Awesome!” ringing endorsement from the crowd. Late in the match, another team miscue from Magnus and Cesaro positions their opponents for victory. The Hurricane whips Cesaro into the corner, where Magnus is already positioned. Then, he whips his tag team partner, who comes in like a freight train and shoulderblocks Magnus hard. Cesaro moved out of the way at the last moment. He tries to hit with a running big boot, but Rosey moves and the boot hits Magnus in the face. Cesaro turns around and Rosey lifts him up and gorilla press tosses him to the floor! The Hurricane gives Magnus the Eye of the Hurricane! At this time, The Blue Blazer and The Mountie rush to the ring, but before they do anything to interfere in the match, Lance Storm and Tyson Kidd are there to stop them! They fight just outside of the ring while The Hurricane collects the pinfall victory for his team!
Official Decision: The Hurricane & Rosey win by pinfall
After the pinfall has been registered, our focus turns to the outside where Storm, Kidd, the Blue Blazer and the Mountie are fighting. Storm tries to rip the Blazer’s mask off while shouting, “Who are you?!” The Mountie saves his crime fighting partner after whipping Kidd into the ring steps. He grabs Storm and sends him crashing into the guardrail with a side Russian legsweep. The Mountie and Blue Blazer are then chased off by our other crime fighting duo.
Back in the ring, Maryse is giving Cesaro an earful for another mistake that costs his team a win. Cesaro tries defending his position, but gets a slap across the face for committing too many errors. Cesaro gives a smirk and then brushes her off, turning his back to leave. Maryse tells him not to turn his back on her, but he doesn’t listen. Then, Magnus attacks. He pummels Cesaro down to the mat, then lifts him up onto his shoulders to give him the Tormentum. Cesaro counters with some elbows to the face, freeing himself from the set up. Then, he shoves Magnus into the ropes and lifts him into the air for a Very European Uppercut! The crowd responds with a big pop! Cesaro motions for the Cesaro Swing. He grabs Magnus by the legs and gets ready to swing, but Maryse cracks him in the back with a chair! And gives him a second chair shot! Magnus picks up Cesaro and gives him the Tormentum before leaving the ring with Maryse!
*Commercial Break 6*
An angry Samoa Joe finds Commissioner Billy Two Rivers backstage and demands a match against Dean Malenko because he wants to kill Malenko and thus prove to him that he’s the real deal. Two Rivers thinks it is a good idea and agrees to grant him the match. It’ll be Samoa Joe vs. “Iceman” Dean Malenko at JOURNEY TO GREATNESS!
VS.
“Killer” Karl Krupp & “The Acadian Giant” Kurrgan vs. Kaientai
Kaientai is unable to parlay their victory over Magnus & Cesaro from two weeks ago into a winning streak, tonight. “Killer” Karl Krupp and Kurrgan are just too big and powerful to handle. Krupp and Kurrgan destroy Taka Michinoku and Sho Funaki on their way to a decisive victory. Krupp forces Funaki to submit to his Iron Claw. As a result of their victory over Kaientai, “Killer” Karl Krupp and “The Acadian Giant” Kurrgan will be the fourth and final team to compete in next week’s Fatal Fourway Tag Team #1 Contender’s Match.
Official Decision: “Killer” Karl Krupp & “The Acadian Giant” Kurrgan win by submission

“Superstar” Billy Graham w/ “Classy” Freddie Blassie vs. Yvon “Le Lion” Robert w/ Frenchy Martin
This match has a big fight feel to it. However, the fans aren’t extremely boisterous for this contest, as it is essentially a heel versus heel matchup. All the same, the match manages to retain a bit of an aura of a spectacle. It’s an old school affair that begins with a classic test of strength. Robert is a big, strong man, but Graham has 22-inch pythons and an enormous amount of power. He wins the test of strength, but makes the mistake of taking Robert to the ground. Robert is the far more accomplish catch wrestler and so he finds an escape route from a side headlock and locks on a rear wristlock with Graham on his back. Robert keeps Graham on the mat for quite some time, alternating between wristlocks, arm wrenches and headlocks. Graham is clearly frustrated by the smothering mat attack, but eventually musters all of his strength to break out of a headlock by getting to his feet and lifting Robert high into the air for a side belly-to-back suplex. Graham changes the complexion of the match to more of a brawling style, which suits him far better. After a sustained attack to gain the advantage, Graham corners Robert and refuses to let him escape the corner. The referee forces him out of the corner, but Graham just comes back, forces Robert back into the corner and beats him down into the mat. The breaks and returns to the corner go on for some time, leading Frenchy Martin to lose his cool. He gets on the apron to register a complaint. “Classy” Freddie Blassie climbs onto the same ring apron to get into it with the Martin and the referee. This allows Graham to take Robert back into the corner and wrap the tag rope around his neck. Martin has heard enough of it. He seems to be unhappy with how the argument went and signals to the back. Out comes the cavalry!
Mad Dog Vachon, Yoshihiro Tajiri and Dino Bravo rush to the ring. Not long after they jump into the ring to begin the beat down of Graham, Christopher Daniels, Goldust and Kazarian rush to the ring to even up the odds. Vachon and Daniels fight out to the floor, as does Bravo and Kazarian. Goldust roughs up Tajiri until he spits green mist in his face. Then, Tajiri chops him down with a series of shoot kicks before finally knocking him out cold with a Japanese buzzsaw kick! Tajiri helps Robert double up the attack on Graham. Back on the outside, Bravo clotheslines Kazarian over the guardrail and then hops it to stay on him. Daniels whips Vachon into the guardrail, then charges at him only to get a boot to the face and then a bulldog takedown. Even “Classy” Freddie Blassie and Frenchy Martin are caught up in a fight on the outside. Meanwhile, Tajiri clears off the French announcers’ table and Robert prepares to powerbomb Graham through it. However, Goldust hits Robert in the back with a chair! Tajiri attacks him and tries to whip him into the stairs, but Goldust counters the whip and Tajiri slams into the ringsteps. Kazarian returns to ringside after hip tossing Bravo into a row of open steel chairs. Mad Dog Vachon comes around to attack Goldust, but then Kazarian arrives and knocks out Vachon with a superkick! Tajiri picks up a discarded chair and throws it Kazarian, but can’t do anything as Goldust gives him a low blow from behind. Then, Kazarian waffles him in the face with the chair! Finally, the beat down is on Robert and it all leads to Graham putting him through the table with a powerbomb! Then, Californiacation clears off the English announcers’ table and Goldust puts Vachon through the table with the Final Cut!
Californiacation enters the ring and celebrates their decimation of the Montréal Mafia. However, the celebration is temporarily halted when Frenchy Martin walks over to the timekeeper’s position, grabs a microphone and demands the music to be stopped. He rips into Californiacation for what they’ve done and promises retribution. He knows they want a fight, so he offers it up – Californiacation vs. Montréal Mafia at JOURNEY TO GREATNESS! However, under one condition. Martin is sick and tired of the Californians messing with Mafia business and he knows Blassie and the Illuminati want to force the Montréal Mafia, so Martin is going to give them the chance in a LOSERS LEAVE TOWN MATCH! Although his troops want him to think twice about it, Blassie doesn’t hesitate to accept the match stipulation. One of these factions will leave AGPW on May 31 at JOURNEY TO GREATNESS! Don’t miss it!
Official Decision: “Superstar” Billy Graham wins by disqualification
