Taped from Universal Studios in Orlando, Florida
Commentary: Gorilla Monsoon and Wade Barrett
Ring Announcer: Gary Michael Cappetta
Interviewer: Missy Hyatt
Referees: Tommy Young, Joey Marella and Charles Robinson
The episode opens with Bruce Prichard in the ring. He talks about the new era WCW on Netflix where every episode of Nitro will feature big name stars and big time matches. Alone tonight we’ll get Bret Hart and a mystery partner challenging for the UWA Universal Tag Team Titles held by the New Foundation of Owen Hart and Jim Neidhart and a loser leaves town match between L.A. Knight and Hulk Hogan for the WCW Wild Card Title.
Prichard brings out his financial benefactor, J.R. Ewing. He’s escorted to the ring by Maria Kannellis-Bennett and Missy Hyatt. Ewing talks about how he wants to diversify Ewing Enterprises and Destination Dallas III proved to him what a great investment professional wrestling can be. While he physically won’t be in the building every week, his spirit will be. Ewing then goes out to a spot just to the right of the entrance and pulls the rope on a big curtain to unveil a giant oil painting of himself. Prichard - “that’s…uh…that’s just great J.R.”

A pre-taped promo from the back has Missy Hyatt with Col. Robert Fuller and Perfectly Wonderful of Curt Hennig and Paul Orndorff. Footage from SuperBrawl is shown. Fuller said that was some simple miscommunication and everyone is on the same page. Orndorff said he’s going to do what exactly needs done to get the job completed tonight. He pokes Hennig in the chest and walks off. Hennig said everything that’s happened with the team lately can’t be laid at his feet. Because it’s nice to be wonderful, but it’s not perfect.

Out in the arena, Missy Hyatt has Strictly Business of Thom Latimer, Royce Isaacs and Chris Adonis, who debuted at SuperBrawl. Footage is shown of Latimer and Isaacs beating the Von Erich brothers with Adonis’ help.
Latimer says the Von Erichs will leave them alone from now on if they’re smart. And if David is really smart, he’ll leave Latimer’s ex-wife of Charlotte Flair alone. Trust him, she’s all used up and wasn’t much good when she was fresh for him. Kevin and David come out. It’s not over with Latimer and Isaacs, but Adonis needs to learn what it’s like to be in the ring with a Von Erich and he needs to learn it tonight. Adonis said he’ll glad be to clamp on the Master Lock on any Von Erich. He flexes and we go to the ring.

Perfectly Wonderful (Curt Hennig and Paul Orndorff) with Col. Robert Fuller vs. Murdoch Violence Connection (Dick Murdoch and Trevor Mudoch)
Referee: Charles Robinson
Winners: No contest via partner turn at 5:40.
Fuller then reveals that he’s signed the Murdoch Violence Connection as his new tag team and this frees up Paul Orndorff to go after Dusty Rhodes and become the WCW World Heavyweight Champion for a second time. As for Curt Hennig, he’ll just have to settle for this perfect beatdown. Barrett theorizes that Fuller has been with Orndorff longer and he sees the former champion as a better prospect for getting back to the top of WCW.

The New Foundation are in the ring and Bret Hart comes out with a microphone. “You know, there’s an old saying that the enemy of my enemy is my friend. I don’t have many friends in this business, but I do have people I respect. And there’s nobody I respect in that ring more than the man who agreed to be my partner here today.”
Out comes “Stone Cold” Steve Austin with a microphone. “I don’t like Bret’s ass and he doesn’t like my ass. But he got one thing right. He respects the hell out of me and I respect the hell out of him. I’ve got a receipt on Owen Hart that needs paid in full. Not to mention if we win the those UWA Universal Tag Team Title belts, we’ll be traveling throughout the UWA a lot and it’s a way for me to get out of WCW like I’ve wanted. So, prepare to lose those titles, because that’s the bottom line, because Stone Cold said so.”
Austin spikes the microphone and they charge the ring. It’s on.
