AEW Collision
Feb. 17, 2024
Heyman - “Welcome to the Wardlow Show, starring AEW’s Next Big Thing: Wardlow! Your Owen Hart Cup Champion!” This brings out Wardlow’s opponent for next week, Jon Moxley, who enters the ring.
Mox - “Hold up. I feel like I shouldn’t have to introduce myself. But I’m the man standing in your man’s way next week. I’m a little bit different from your earlier opponents: I’m not going to walk out on the match. It’ll be a bit harder to keep the Lunatic Fringe down.”
Heyman puts his hand on Wardlow’s chest to hold him off. “You sound like you’re itching for a fight, Mr. Moxley. And Wardlow is also getting antsy. And I’m in the mode of giving people what they want. And tonight, the people want to see Wardlow and Jon Moxley face off. You find a partner; Wardlow will get a partner. And we’ll face off later tonight.” Both men nod, then glare at each other.

Match 1 - Hook (21-6) vs. Shawn Spears (13-8) - Winner qualifies for Face of the Revolution Ladder Match
Hook pulls out the win with the REDRUM after 17 minutes. Spears hit a C4 late, but Hook narrowly got his shoulder up at 2.9. Hook fills the final spot in the Face of the Revolution Ladder Match.

UWA Universal Women’s Champion Jade Cargill is out next, looking pissed off. She says that a week ago, Bianca Belair caught her off guard. But it won’t happen again. Belair has awakened the beast. And she’ll pay for it next week. This brings out AEW Women’s Champion Ronda Rousey.
Rousey says that she and Cargill don’t always see eye-to-eye, but they’re now dealing with similar problems: Championship contenders who think they can attack them, unprovoked, with no retaliation. She proposes a truce and wants to tag with Cargill next week on Dynamite against Bianca Belair and Sasha Banks.
Cargill asks if Rousey knows what she is asking of Cargill: She wants Cargill to fight in a tag match; then defend against Belair and Charlotte Flair all in the course of 5 days. As she’s getting ready to decline, Belair and Banks pop up on the screen. Belair asks if Cargill is concerned about something. If she was really the beast that she claims to be, she wouldn’t be backing down. Cargill, seething, agrees to the match.

Match 2 - Top Flight (2-0) vs. Jurassic Express (9-8)
Top Flight (Dante Martin and Action Andretti) get the win after Martin hits a 450 Splash on Jungle Boy at 9 minutes.
—
Paul Heyman is backstage, talking on the phone. He thanks the person for calling and says he’ll see them later. He’s got a big smile on his face as he hangs up.
—
Match 3 - The Beautiful People (Madison Rayne, Velvet Sky and Angelina Love) vs. Britt Baker and Kris Statlander
Alexa Bliss has been barred from ringside. Baker and Statlander get a good run early, but the Beautiful People eventually get the upper hand thanks to the numbers game and some cheating. Baker and Rayne — finalists for the women’s Owen Hart Cup — eventually spill outside, leaving Statlander alone with Sky and Love. Sky distracts the ref with a kiss, while Love hits Statlander with a chair. Sky lets the ref go, while Love hits the Lights Out (lifting reverse STO) to get the win at 10 minutes.
Baker slides in just a little bit too late to break up the pin, and the Beautiful People immediately pounce on both Baker and Statlander…and Bliss comes running out, too, as the faces get dismantled. Until Paige VanZant runs down with a chair and clears the ring! The Beautiful People scatter to the back.
—
After the break, Pat McAfee catches up with VanZant backstage. He asks why she decided to come to the aide of Baker and Statlander. VanZant says that she’s tired of watching the Beautiful People use their strength in numbers to run over the rest of the women’s division. She’s been aimless since losing the AEW Women’s Championship to Ronda Rousey last year, and now she’s got a mission: Make the world just a little bit uglier by ridding AEW of The Beautiful People.
—
Match 4 - Big E (10-4) vs. Shelton Benjamin (2-4) w/ Cedric Alexander
Benjamin gets the surprise win with a Paydirt on Big E in 12 minutes. Benjamin and Alexander celebrate with their Tag Team Titles.

Promo for this week’s Dynamite, hyping Cargill and Rousey vs. Banks and Belair, a 6-man tag match pitting 6 of the Face of the Revolution match opponents against each other (Matt Riddle, Carlito & Hook vs. Jeff Cobb, Miro & Dean Malenko) and a final championship face-off with Sammy Guevara and Cody Rhodes before their AEW World Championship Match at Revolution
—
Match 5 - Tay Melo (19-6) w/ Sammy Guevara vs. Brandi Rhodes (5-13) w/ Cody Rhodes
Melo gets the win after a spirited comeback by Rhodes. She hits the Tay KO and pins her with her feet on the ropes at 5:18. Cody tries pointing it out to the ref, but Sammy pushes him away. After the match, Guevara asks Melo why she felt the need to cheat. She replies that she’s doing what it takes to win, just like he taught her.

Dean Malenko is backstage with Jake Hager. He’s talking about the 6-man tag on Dynamite and says that it’s unfair that Logan Paul isn’t also involved. Paul should be on his team. Someone walks up just off camera, and Malenko gets a surprised look on his face. It’s Logan Paul!
Paul - “Did I just hear you complaining about me?” Malenko slowly shakes his head, then says Welcome to AEW! Paul smirks and thanks Malenko before saying he decided he wanted to have a warm-up match before next week’s ladder match. So he used his connections to get Paul Heyman’s number and volunteered to be Wardlow’s partner tonight! And that match is next…
—
Main event - Wardlow and Logan Paul w/ Paul Heyman vs. Jon Moxley and Claudio Castagnoli
Wardlow and Paul get the win after a hard-fought match when Paul hits a slingshot flipping lariat (Buckshot Lariat) on Castagnoli and gets the pin at 14 minutes while Mox and Wardlow are fighting on the floor. As the pin is counted, Wardlow is getting ready to powerbomb Mox through the announce table. He pauses briefly, allowing Mox to back out of it. Mox kicks Wardlow in the gut and hits the Paradigm Shift, driving Wardlow’s head through the table as it collapses and both men are down, as Paul celebrates his win in the ring and the show comes to an end.
