AEW Dynamite
Feb. 14, 2024
AEW Women’s Champion Ronda Rousey is out to the ring to start the show. She says she saw Sasha Banks’ promo at Collision. Who does Sasha think she is to say she can make Rousey tap out? Rousey has the best armbar in the business. She’s snapped more arms than Sasha’s taken selfies. This brings out Banks, who is all business.
She stands face-to-face and reiterates that she’s going to make Rousey tap out in 10 days to become AEW Women’s Champion. In fact, let’s throw pinfalls out of consideration and make it a submission match. Rousey nods her head, then hits Banks with a forearm to the face! Rousey goes for another big swing, but Banks ducks around behind Rousey and hits her with a backstabber, rolling her over into the Bank Statement! Rousey struggles for a bit. Banks tells her she’ll let go if Rousey taps out. Rousey taps, Banks lets go and walks off with a smile.

Matt Riddle is backstage on his scooter, with a canvas bag slung over his shoulder. He scoots past Beth Phoenix and Paige VanZant and gives them Hello Kitty Valentines. “Happy Valentine's Day, Bro-ettes!”
—
“Time to play the Game” hits and Triple H heads out to a big ovation from the crowd. He’s wearing jeans and a DX shirt, but is alone. The International Championship is around his waist.
Triple H - “Brian Cage, I’m talking to you. I already agreed to your title rematch, but you just had to take things a step too far last week. I don’t take things lying down. You made this personal. And now nothing is off the table. I’ll see you at Revolution in a Street Fight. And for you, it’ll be Game Over.”
—
Match 2 - Serena Deeb (10-10) vs. Beth Phoenix (13-6)
Deeb tries to keep things technical, while Phoenix overpowers her and eventually wins with the Beth Valley Driver in 12 minutes.
—
Riddle is still scootering backstage. He passes The New Day and hands each of them a Paw Patrol Valentines Day card. He wishes Kingston and Woods good luck against Natural Selection and says he could give them some pointers if they need any help.
—
JBL is in the ring and says he is going to announce the final two participants in the Face of the Revolution Ladder match for the TNT Championship. Dean Malenko’s music hits and he walks out with Jake Hager.
Malenko says that, as the most improved wrestler in all of wrestling from last year, he should have a spot. JBL reminds him that he walked out on his match with Wardlow on Collision. But he’s also right, so he’ll give Malenko a chance to get in the match — if he can beat Rob Van Dam tonight.
JBL announces that the final spot will then go to the winner of Hook vs. Shawn Spears on Collision.
—
Match 3 - Carlito (2-1) vs. Eric Young (1-6)
Carlito wins with the Backstabber in 6:27.
—
Riddle scooters past the Bloodline and the Blackpool Combat Club, who are talking strategy for their big 10-man tag team match against the Elite and the OC in tonight’s main event. He looks at Reigns, who is wearing a lei, and makes a comment about Reigns getting laid tonight. Then he scoots off.
—
In a backstage interview, Kenny Omega talks about Goldberg spearing him last week and says that he’s got so many people after him because they know he’s the one person all of the AEW fans are paying to see. And they’re jealous. At Revolution, Omega is going to prove that he’s the top dog in AEW, and then he’s going after some gold. It’s time for The Elite to take their perch atop AEW.
—
Match 4 - Dean Malenko (15-14) w/ Jake Hager vs. RVD (5-4) w/ Sabu
Malenko gets the win with a rollup and his feet on the ropes after a 9-minute match that included a lot of outside interference from Hager, and eventually Sabu and Hager getting into a fight. Malenko qualifies for the Face of the Revolution ladder match.
—
Brian Cage and Natural Selection are out to the ring. Benjamin and Alexander talk about their upcoming match with the New Day and vow to remain tag team champions.
Cage tells Triple H that he is a machine, and he will stop at nothing to get his International Championship back. A street fight plays right into his hands.
—
Riddle is scootering backstage and comes up behind another wrestler. He taps him on the shoulder, and the wrestler turns around…and it’s Jeff Cobb! Riddle says, “Whoops!” and tries to scooter off. But Cobb catches him with an elbow and knocks him off the scooter. Cobb says that they could have been done with their feud, but Riddle had to come stick his nose in Cobb’s business. Riddle had better stay out of his way at Revolution. He grabs the scooter and bends it over his knee.

Main Event - Claudio Castagnoli, Wheeler Yuta, Jimmy Uso, Jey Uso & Roman Reigns vs. The Elite & the OC
Goldberg is on commentary. This match was set up after last week’s Dynamite, when the OC and Blackpool Combat Club brawled through the arena throughout the entire show, and ended up in the ring during the Elite and Bloodline’s match, causing it to get thrown out.
The match starts with a brawl between the two teams, with Reigns and Omega exchanging blows in the center of the ring. The action spills outside, where the Usos and the Young Bucks battle with superkicks. Yuta tries to help his team, but is quickly overwhelmed by the OC, who hit him with a Magic Killer on the floor. Claudio Castagnoli comes to his rescue and is met with a V-Trigger from Omega.
The match continues with several near-falls, as both sides try to gain the upper hand. Reigns spears Matt Jackson, but Nick Jackson breaks up the pin. Omega hits a One-Winged Angel on Jey Uso, but Jimmy Uso saves his brother. Castagnoli hits a Neutralizer on Anderson, but Gallows breaks up a pin. Yuta hits a Springboard Moonsault on Omega, who kicks out
The match reaches its climax as both teams hit their signature moves in rapid succession. The Usos hit a Double Superfly Splash on Gallows, but Matt Jackson pulls the referee out of the ring. The Young Bucks hit a Meltzer Driver on Jimmy Uso, but Castagnoli makes the save. Reigns goes for a Superman Punch on Omega, but Omega ducks it and counters with a Snap Dragon Suplex.
The end comes when Gallows hits the Gallows Pole on Yuta while the other eight men are fighting on the outside. He gets the pinfall at 16:59.
The 10 men find their way back into the ring, continuing to brawl. The OC keep going after Blackpool Combat Club…until Jon Moxley runs down and the OC evacuates to the back, with BCC following them.
That leaves Reigns and the Usos in the ring and brawling with Omega and the Young Bucks, who get the upper hand thanks to Omega grabbing a chair. This brings Goldberg into the ring to clear out The Elite.
Reigns stands and faces Goldberg, who explodes into a Spear! He hits quick spears on each Uso brother, before hitting the Jackhammer on Reigns as the show comes to an end.
