NWA Championship Wrestling taped Tuesday, June 13th and broadcasted on Saturday, June 17th at 10 AM on ESPN.
The show kicks off with highlights of the National Wrestling Alliance Champions in action before going to the desk and Gordon Solie. Solie briefly discusses today's show and reminds the viewers that the next pay-per-view broadcast, Beach Party Beatdown, is scheduled for Saturday, June 24th, from the Amalie Arena in Tampa, Florida. Solie then sends the show to the ring for the first match of the day.

>Winner: Idol (8:50) with the Las Vegas Leglock
Solie welcomes James. J. Dillon, Greg Valentine & Bob Orton Jr. to the desk and immediately asks Dillon about possible new members of the Dynasty. Dillon holds the lapels of his suit jacket as he rocks back and forth and answers Solie, “In due time Mr. Solie… all in due time… but the reason I am out here today is to announce that I have secured a contract for Greg Valentine’s return match for the World’s Heavyweight Championship to be contested at “Beach Party Beatdown” on June 24th at the Amalie Arena in Tampa, Florida… so next week… while your wearing some ridiculous outfit at the behest of Jim Barnett… Greg Valentine will be mopping the floor with Don Muraco and returning the World’s Heavyweight Championship to the…”.
Before Dillon can finish, Valentine steps in “Muraco your mine come next Saturday but I’ve got another problem I need to take care of first…”. Dillon can be heard pleading with Valentine to “leave well enough alone” but Valentine continues “No Jim… I want Murdoch… Dick Murdoch… according to the girl cutting checks around here… you ‘officially’ beat me… and went on to win the United States Heavyweight Championship last month… but we both know Dick… you didn’t pin me to the mat… you didn’t hear me give up… you won on a technicality… a disqualification… so I’m challenging you… right here… right now… for that United States Heavyweight Championship… I want me… this elbow… that belt… and your butt in that ring before Gordon Solie says, ‘so long from the Peach State!’” Valentine storms off as Dillon & Orton follow suit and Solie reiterates the challenge to Dick Murdoch before sending the show to commercial break.

United States Heavyweight Championship Match: Dick Murdoch vs. Greg Valentine w/ James J. Dillon
… Murdoch ducks the right hand and secures a rear waist lock as Valentine spins around. Murdoch connects with a bell to back suplex and both men are sprawled on the canvas. Murdoch rolls over and reaches for the ropes as James J. Dillon jumps onto the apron and begins berating the referee. With the referee arguing with Dillon to get off the apron, Bob Orton Jr. runs to ringside and clocks Murdoch with his cowboy boot. Murdoch falls back onto the mat as Dillon gets off the apron and begins pleading with Valentine to move. Orton puts his boot back on at ringside and then gets blindsided by a clothesline from Dick Slater. Slater is putting the boots to Orton, distracting the referee once more as Valentine begins to stir.
Dillon distracts Slater, who begins to chase the manager around the ring as Valentine drops an elbow on Murdoch. Dillon runs past the camera just before Slater gets wiped out at ringside by Austin Idol. Orton is on the ground; Slater is on the ground and the referee is slapping the mat for the third time as Valentine has just pinned Murdoch to become the United States Heavyweight Champion. Dillon climbs into the ring with the belt and quickly puts it around the waist of the new Champion as the show wraps up with Solie commenting about the carnage at ringside, the celebration in the ring and reminding the fans to “tune in next Saturday at 10 AM for more NWA Championship Wrestling… and until next time… so long from the Peach State”.
