The show kicks off with action highlights of the NWA champions in action before going to the desk with the announcing team of Gordon Solie & Rick Stewart. Joining them is interviewer Charly Caruso and ring announcer Kayla Braxton. Gordon & Rick welcome the fans back for another exciting 2 hours of NWA Championship Wrestling. Big news from last week's pay-per-view is they have two new United States Champions. Don Muraco defeated Bob Roop for the men's singles belt and the Minnesota Wrecking Crew beat the Brisco Brothers (Jack & Gerald) for the tag team belts. Retaining their belts were World's Heavyweight Champion Greg 'the Hammer' Valentine, World's Junior Heavyweight Champion 'Crippler' Chris Benoit and Women's World's Champion Mandy Rose. There also was another title change not on the PPV but the night before. The New World's Tag Team Champs 'Bruiser' Brody & Stan 'Lariat' Hansen who won the belts on Friday, March 17, in Indianapolis, Indiana. They defeated Kenta Kobashi & Mitsuharu Misawa with manager 'Playboy' Gary Hart locked in a shark cage & the Great Kabuki barred from ringside. Solie adds that they can expect to hear from manager James J. Dillon and 'Playboy' Gary Hart.
NWA Commissioner Jim Barnett is out with 'Dirty' Dick Slater to answer Slater's request for a steel cage match with Dillon. Barnett tells Slater that Dillon says he will agree but only if you put up the $50,00 you won in the bounty match where you beat David Schultz. Dick says anything to get that pompous chicken into the ring. He will agree too.

Once back, Gordon announces the next PPV, Cage Wars, is set for Saturday, April 22 from Reunion Arena in Dallas, Texas.

After the match, the Fabulous Freebirds (Terry Gordy, Buddy Roberts & Michael Hayes) storm the ring & attack the Von Erichs. The losing threesome head back to the dressing room while the brawl is going on. Kevin gets thrown over the top rope & Kerry is tied up in the ropes while the 3 Birds bust open David. Barnett comes out & sends the dressing room in the ring to break it up.
Caruso interview with Ken Shamrock who apologizes for losing his temper last weekend. But he had honestly believed he had won the belt back. Again, JJ Dillon kept him from getting his belt back. Ken says if Commissioner Barnett needs a referee for the match between Slater & Dillon on April 18, he will gladly see that both men get a fair shake.
