Dynamite: Grand Slam Night 1
Live from Tropicana Field in Tampa, Fla.
We get a special Dynamite intro that combines AEW stars with baseball players, as we are coming live from Tropicana Field, the home of the Tampa Bay Rays.
Coach welcomes us to a special edition of AEW Dynamite as we will have 4 title matches over the next two weeks. We are starting off with a huge match in Gable Steveson vs. Jake Hager for the All-Atlantic Championship, but first the Apex is in the ring with a guest.
Their guest is someone with a bag over his head. Jarrett introduces him as the man who sent Cody Rhodes the video and audio that revealed Jarrett's fake injury last week. Jarrett reveals that the man has now lost his job and is about to have a Stroke. "This is what happens when you cross The Apex, and when you root for Cody Rhodes."
JBL pulls off the man's hood as Jarrett hits him with a Stroke. Cody and the Young Bucks run out from the back, but the damage is already done. The Apex leaves the ring with smiles on their faces, as medics respond to the now former golf course employee.

A recap video shows Gable Steveson's debut match against Jake Hager, then his string of wins to get the title. We also see Hager's recent big wins over Samoa Joe and Jon Moxley, followed by his attack on Steveson and subsequent challenge. Can Hager continue his recent hot streak, or will Steveson remain undefeated in his professional career?
Match 1: All-Atlantic Championship: Gable Steveson © (8-0) vs. Jake Hager (5-3)
Steveson tries to start fast with a double-leg takedown that Hager dodges. They circle each other, playing defensive. Hager gets the first takedown, then pops up with a smile. Steveson goes for another double-leg takedown, but Hager swirls around and locks in a sleeper hold. He releases it and stands up again with a smile. Steveson rolls out and collects his thoughts. After rolling back in, the two start mat wrestling and reversing each others’ moves. Steveson hits a belly-to-belly suplex and takes control from there.
Steveson applies a variety of holds on Hager, working around his left ankle to prep for the ankle lock. Hager breaks the hold at the ropes, then when Steveson moves to pick him up, Hager rakes his eyes. Hager hits a running knee lift, followed by an abdominal stretch that he turns into a Pump Handle Slam for a 1-count. He tosses Steveson to the corner and hits a big splash. Steveson stumbles out into a belly-to-belly suplex. Hager goes for the Swagger Bomb, but can’t get Steveson up, who drops behind and hits the Olympic Slam! 1…2…NO! Hager kicks out! Steveson lifts Hager up for another, but he drops out and hits a big boot to the face.
After more back-and-forth, Hager goes for another Swagger Bomb and is able to hit it this time! He also gets just a two-count as both men are exhausted. Steveson reverses an Irish Whip into the corner, then goes for his own splash. Hager extends his arms and lifts Steveson over. Steveson’s head hits the metal ringpost, and Hager drives him forward and slams him to the ground. Steveson is out cold as Hager goes for the pin. 1…2…3! Match time: 21:03. And Jake Hager is the new AEW All-Atlantic Champion! He walks to the back, hugging the belt, as medics attend to Steveson.

Brian Cage won a chance at the AEW World Championship at All Out, where Cody Rhodes defeated Jeff Jarrett by countout. The next Dynamite, Cage's new friends in Shelton Benjamin and Cedric Alexander attacked Cody as he laid claim to the title shot. Cody called the Young Bucks in for assistance, and now we are here. Will Cody be distracted by his title shot next week?
Match 2: Cody & Young Bucks vs. Brian Cage, Shelton Benjamin & Cedric Alexander
Cody and Cedric start the match, even though Cody calls for Brian to get in. After Cody tags out, Brian tags in and takes over on Nick Jackson. The trio isolates Nick and works him over. Shelton tags in and hits a T-Bone Suplex for 2. Brian tags back in, but Nick drop kicks him and rushes over to tag Cody in. He runs wild and dropkicks Brian down three straight times, and Brian rolls out for a breather.
Cody and the Bucks control things for a little while after. Matt superkicks Shelton or a nearfall. Cody hits the CrossRhodes on Cedric, but the fall gets broken up by Brian. The match breaks down with all six in the ring brawling. Eventually, Shelton and Cody spill outside, while the legal men on the inside are Matt Jackson and Brian Cage. Shelton and Cody brawl up the stage, where Jeff Jarrett emerges with his guitar. In the ring, Brian is arguing with the ref while Jarrett hits Cody over the head with the guitar. He stands over Cody and poses.
In the ring Brian Cage hits Matt Jackson with the Drill Claw while Cedric Alexander occupies Nick Jackson. Brian gets the pinfall at 13:11, and the trio celebrates their victory. Cage hits a Drill Claw on Nick after the match.

A preview shows the Outsiders arriving at All Out, then attacking The Acclaimed at the Dynamite Arthur Ashe Stadium episode. They have their eyes set on the Steiners, but first have the upstart Acclaimed in their way.
Match 3: The Outsiders (0-0) vs. The Acclaimed (1-1)
Scott Hall and Anthony Bowens start off. The match sees a clash of styles, as Nash and Hall try to slow things out, while Bowens and Max Caster push the pace. Eventually, Nash is able to isolate Caster as he and Hall perform a variety of moves. Nash hits a Big Boot, followed by a chokeslam for 2. Hall hits the Razor’s Edge, but the fall is broken up by Bowens. Caster eventually makes a hot tag to Bowens, who makes a big run and clears the ring. Caster recovers and runs toward Bowens, who launches him out of the ring and onto a recovering Nash and Hall outside the ring.
Back in the ring, Bowens and Caster controlled the match, punctuated by a Mic Drop flying elbow drop by Caster onto Hall for a nearfall. Ultimately, The Acclaimed couldn’t pull out the win over the Outsiders. Hall hit a FallAway Slam onto Caster, then tagged Nash in for the Jackknife Powerbomb and the victory at 10:08.

Jeff Jarrett is backstage with The Apex, holding the championship over his shoulder. "Cody Rhodes, when you poke the bear, you’re going to get bitten. I don’t care who you’ve got in your corner, or what kind of quest you think you’re on. I’m going to show you why I’m a legend in this business next week, while you’re nothing but a flash in the pan. Your fantasy of being World Champion is about to end."

Tay Melo is undefeated, while Paige VanZant has been on a hot streak since losing to Jade Cargill back at Fyter Fest in April. Now the two competitors have set their goals of going after Jade Cargill, the AEW Women's Championship and possibly Jade's undefeated streak at Full Gear. Will Sammy Guevara and Ronda Rousey have any impact on the match?
Match 4: Tay Melo (7-0) w/ Sammy Guevara vs. Paige VanZant (7-2) w/ Ronda Rousey (AEW Women’s title contender match)
Melo and VanZant have a bit of a feeling-out process, as VanZant stays away from Melo’s kicks, and Melo tries to stay out of the reach of the dangerous VanZant. VanZant catches a kick and drags Melo down by the leg. She pounces and locks in an armbar. Melo gets to the ropes.
Outside the ring, Guevara trips VanZant up, leading to a Melo bicycle kick. Melo hits rolling judo throws and a Gory Special, then goes for a pin. She just gets 1. Melo hits an armdrag and locks in an armbar of her own. VanZant rolls over and stands, lifting Melo up. She slams her down to break the hold. She whips Melo into the corner and proceeds to stomp her down to the bottom turnbuckle. VanZant hits a baseball slide into Melo, then drags her out and locks in a Sharpshooter! Melo tries crawling toward the ropes. Guevara reaches in to grab her hands and help her, but Rousey rounds the ring and confronts him!
Guevara jaws at Rousey, and she gives it right back. He says, “I’m not going to hit a girl,” which leads her to shrug and punch Guevara, who falls backward. The ref orders both of them to the back.
In the ring, Melo has gotten control and she hits Tayagoshi for a 2-count. She then hits a rolling cross armbar and locks it in, but VanZant is able to get to the ropes. After some back-and-forth striking, VanZant hits a Pedigree! She goes for the pinfall. 1..2..No! Melo kicks out. Melo hits a Brazilian kick and goes for the pin. 1…2…no!
Both competitors take time to get to their feet. Melo kicks, VanZant ducks behind Melo and locks in a rear naked choke. She drops down to the mat and keeps the hold locked in. Melo struggles to the ropes, but VanZant drags her back in. Melo finally taps at 14:34. VanZant wins and will receive an AEW Women’s Title Shot at Full Gear on Nov. 20.

The House of Black will fall when I topple its leader. And Billy's eyes will be opened, and he will rejoin the Flock."

The Steiners have owned the tag division since the start, and their paths have crossed a bit with Los Parks, defending the gold at All Out. Los Parks was in a long feud with LAX, finally coming out on top during the first ever Blood & Guts Match in August. Now they’re putting everything on the line with a tables match to try to dethrone the champions.
Match 5: AEW Tag Team Championships: Tables Elimination Match: Steiner Bros © (7-0) vs. Los Parks (5-3) (both members of the team must go through a table)
There are tables set up surrounding the ring as the teams square off with each other. Rick and Park Sr. battle; Scott and Park Jr. battle. Rick and Sr. spill outside and brawl, while Scott controls things in the ring with Jr. He hits a belly-to-belly suplex, then lifts him straight off the ground into a German suplex and locks in the Steiner Recliner.
Outside, Sr. has control of things with Rick and spears him into the barriers. Scott lets go of Jr. and goes outside to help Rick. Scott and Sr. spill into the crowd and battle, while Jr. runs and jumps over the top rope, hitting a plancha on a recovering Rick. After they recover, Jr. lays Rick on the table and goes to the top rope. Rick rolls off, and Jr. lands a senton on him.
Scott and Sr. are back in the ring now, and Scott set a table up in the corner. Sr. reverses an Irish Whip into the table, then he spears Scott through the table! Scott Steiner is the first competitor eliminated! Now it’s 2-on-1 with the Parks against Rick. Later, Rick is recovering in the ring by the ropes. Park Jr. rushes toward him and Rick ducks and lifts Jr. over the ropes. He crashes through a table on the ground. Now Rick and Park Sr. square off in the ring.
The Outsiders’ music hits, and Hall and Nash saunter down the ring as Rick and Sr. look on at them. Hijo de la Park runs out to confront them, but Nash gives him the boot. They enter the ring and attack both exhausted competitors! Jackknife to Park Sr.! Fallaway Slam to Rick, and now they’re by the tables. Nash Jackknifes Park Sr. again, this time through a table, giving the Steiners the win at 18:21. They double team Rick with a combination Jackknife into a neckbreaker. The Outsiders grab the tag team championships and raise them over their heads before laying them on Rick.
