AEW Dynamite: Blood & Guts
Live from the Target Center in Minneapolis, MN
The show starts with a big package about the feud between LAX and Los Parks/New Day. It ends with the vicious attack on Xavier Woods and a graphic hyping Blood and Guts. Crowd shots, then focus on the announce booth.
Jonathan Coachman - "It's Wednesday night, and you know what that means! AEW Blood and Guts! We've got a huge episode tonight, capped off by the vicious match between LAX and Los Parks. Unfortunately, Xavier Woods is out with a concussion, so the Los Parks and New Day team will be shorthanded. What else do we have, Taz?"
Taz - "Not for nothin', Coach, but I've got my eyes on the Apex's two matches. We are in AWA territory, and will see a huge match featuring the AWA champion, Don Leo Jonathan, and The Briscoes against Jeff Jarrett and Beer Money. Plus JBL and Shawn Spears try to get a foot up on Cody Rhodes and Gable Steveson."
Coach - "Plus we've got two huge women's matches - Paige VanZant vs. Madison Rayne, and Jade Cargill defends her title against Brandi Rhodes. And new AEW signee Ronda Rousey is sitting in the front row, taking in all of the action."
Taz - "Hoo, boy. Let's get straight to the action! Let's see if Jeff Jarrett and Beer Money can defend AEW's honor in AWA's home turf!"
Match 1 - Six-Man Tag: Jeff Jarrett & Beer Money vs. Don Leo Jonathan & the Briscoes
The two world champions spent much of the time on the apron, as Beer Money and the Briscoes battled it out in the ring. Beer Money took control and hit the DWI, but Jonathan broke up a pin attempt. Later, Jonathan and Jarrett battled back-and-forth. Eventually, Jonathan locked in a full nelson, but Jarrett wriggled away and “accidentally” knocked out the ref.
During a wild brawl with the ref down, Jarrett retrieved his guitar from under the ring. When he was back in the ring, ready to hit Jonathan over the head with it, Cody Rhodes ran down and grabbed the guitar from Jarrett. With Jarrett distracted, Jonathan locked in the Full Nelson and slammed Jarrett down. The ref recovered and counted the pinfall at 14:35. The AWA team scored the win. After the match, the Apex scattered, while Rhodes and Jonathan shook hands in the middle of the ring. Jonathan raised Cody’s arm and the AWA team left the ring.

Match 2 - Paige VanZant (3-2) vs. Madison Rayne (1-0) w/ The Beautiful People
VanZant and Rayne go back and forth, with Rayne using her speed to take quick hits on VanZant, then dodging away out of her reach. Angelina Love and Velvet Sky pulled the ref out of the ring at one point, but were warned that if they interfered again, Rayne would lose. VanZant got the win with the rear naked choke at 8:22. Following the match, the rest of the Beautiful People run in and start stomping on VanZant. Rayne undoes a turnbuckle, and Velvet Sky gets ready to smash VanZant’s face into it…but Ronda Rousey hops the guardrail and slides into the ring! She grabs Sky off of VanZant, then punches Love, as Rayne bails. Rousey puts Sky in a Sleeper hold as Love also bails. Rousey lets go of the sleeper and tosses Sky out of the ring.
VanZant stands up and faces Rousey, who extends her hand. They shake, and we go to commercial.

Samoa Joe comes to the ring and grabs a mic. “Last week, Jake Hager submitted a cute little video of him training for a second match against me. But I’ve yet to receive a formal challenge. So let’s stop beating around the bush, Mr. All-American. Jake Hager vs. Samoa Joe II - at All Out!”

Match 3 - Gable Steveson & Cody Rhodes vs. JBL & Shawn Spears
Steveson and Rhodes control the match at the start, until JBL sneaks in a low blow to Steveson. Spears and JBL work him over for a while, until Steveson is finally able to get a hot tag to Rhodes, who cleans house. Later in the match, Spears is complaining to the ref while Jeff Jarrett comes from the back holding his guitar. He smashes Rhodes over the head, then leaves as Steveson chases him off. In the ring, Spears hits the C4 on Rhodes and gets the pin at 13 minutes.
Backstage, Steveson is chasing Jarrett and runs straight into Beer Money. They start beating him down until Matt Riddle and Jeff Cobb come to his rescue. Security responds and breaks the teams up.

Between matches, Coach asked Taz on commentary about Raven’s challenge to Hook last week.
Taz - “I’m excited for Hook, man. But Raven’s dangerous. Psychotic even. We go way back, but I don’t have a clue what his game is. Raven is always playing mind games. My boy is going to have to be ready for that.”
—
Match 4 - Women’s Title - Jade Cargill © (9-0) vs. Brandi Rhodes (4-4)
Brandi catches Jade off-guard at the beginning with a couple of quick dropkicks. She stays on the offensive and gets an early pin attempt, but Jade’s strength eventually overtakes her. Jade starts dominating. She hit Brandi with a big power bomb, then tried a pin with just her foot. Brandi kicked out and started fighting back. She hit the CrossRhodes on Jade! 1…2…No! That made Jade angry. Big boot, then a Jaded finisher for the pinfall at 8:45.

Main Event - Blood & Guts Match: LAX w/ Konnan vs. Los Parks & New Day
Hijo and Homicide start off and have a good brawl. Hijo starts to get the upper hand, until the timer goes off and Slice Boogie enters. LAX gets the upper hand and wears Hijo down until LA Park Jr. enters. Danny Rivera is next, followed by LA Park Sr. and then Hernandez. Kofi comes in and it's 4-on-4. Konnan comes in, carrying a chain that he uses to punch Kofi and then Hijo. Kofi is busted open.
The timer runs out for the final time, but Xavier is not here. LAX smiles, as Konnan wraps the chain around Park Sr.'s throat and yells at him to give up. Then the New Day music hits and out runs Big E Langston!
Big E gets in the ring and dismantles the LAX stable until coming face to face with Hernandez. They exchange blows back and forth. Big E tries for the Big Ending, but the other stable members have recovered and stop it.
Konnan escapes to the top of the cell to get away from the action, but Park Sr. follows him. Hernandez and Kofi also go to the top. The match ends when Park Sr. holds Konnan over the edge and Konnan gives up. Los Parks wins at 33 minutes. After the result, Park Sr. lets go of Konnan on the cell and leaves him be. He crawls down to celebrate, while Hernandez lifts Kofi into the Border Toss…and tosses Kofi off of the cell and through a table!
Everyone looks shocked as Hernandez looks on, scowling. Los Parks cut off their celebration as medics attend to Kofi and the show ends.
