I told Leo this a while back in a PM, but just for the record It's not going to bother me in the least if you want to have shows in Texas. the UWF/Mid South had a presence there traditionally. Especially since you have Fritz and Hart, Brody & Hansen and a few others who have history in Texas.
That goes for anyone really. If your plans & stories bring you here, so be it. I appreciate the deference, but it is not necessary. It's a big state. I can share.

The scene: Verne Gagne's office in Minneapolis.
Eddie Graham walked into the AWA headquarters, where Verne Gagne and Stu Hart welcomed him with handshakes. The three men sat down, and Gagne started the conversation.
"Stu has done a fantastic job booking the territory since we reopened, but it's time for a new set of eyes to take the pencil. Thanks for coming up, Eddie. You've got a great roster of talent to start with."
Hart added, "It's time for me to get home to Calgary. Once we get past Autumn Bomb in a couple of weeks, it's all yours."
Graham relished the opportunity to take charge of such a well-established, respected territory, and his previous conversations with Hart with positive; Gagne definitely wielded his influence as the owner, but he did let the Stampede legend do his job with minimal interference. He was already thinking of where he would go after the big event, and he had already reached out to a few free agents to gauge their interest in working with him.
"Can't wait to start," Graham said. "How about you tell me more about some of the boys you got here."

Notes from the post-Grand Slam Media Scrum
- Sammy Guevara will be facing a Japanese wrestling legend this week on Dynamite! - Shelton Benjamin and Cedric Alexander will face off with Los Parks! - The two-night Grand Slam extravaganza is now available for purchase on streaming or Blu-Ray, packed with behind-the-scenes features that highlight Jake Hager and Cody Rhodes' championship victories, as well as Beth Phoenix' shock debut - Jeff Jarrett was asked about the next plans for the Apex. He replied, "that was a stupid question. I'm going to get my championship back. But I have some other pests to take care of first." - Jon Moxley was asked about his shockingly quick victory over Samoa Joe, and it their feud was over. "Not by a long shot. Joe has made it his mission to antagonize me. And I'm going to rip him apart."

WCW News and Notes
Bordeaux released Scarlett Bordeaux was released by WCW before even debuting for the company, but “Killer” Kevin Kross has been retained. Rumors have it that Kross will be given Maria Kanellis-Bennett as a valet. Given that she already manages Mike Bennett and Eli Drake, this would give WCW another viable threesome for the new trios division. It was also seen that Maria and Scarlett had similar characters. Some believe Kross will be revealed as the WCW Phantom, but others think he will be saved for a Terrific Tussle debut.
Lady Frost to get a push? Word backstage is that Lady Frost is inline for a face turn and a push. This is due to her look being similar to that of Elsa from “Frozen” and it’s believed she can be marketed to children. Bringing in her grandfather, “Battman” Tony Marino, for the mixed match challenge tournament was seen as a way to test her as a more cartoony character. Additionally, because of his connection to Marino, Brune Sammartino is high on her. It’s said by many backstage with WCW that Sammartino has Shane McMahon’s ear because of his long association with Shane’s father, Vince McMahon, and WWE.
Too many commentators? It’s possible a shakeup of the WCW commentary team could happen prior to the Terrific Tussle. McMahon wanted to try different announce teams for Nitro and Thunder, but it’s felt that is unneeded as Thunder matches are taped prior to live Nitros. Tentative plans would be to have Gorilla Monsoon and Don Callis as the primary commentary team with Bob Caudle continuing to host the Power Hour recap show on Sundays on Sports Channel America and possibly being added as a third man for pay-per-views. Honky Tonk Man would return to active wrestling.
More mixed matches? Shane McMahon is apparently high on having men and women against each other in the ring as a way to set WCW apart from other members of the UWA and to mix up possible matches. This has been tested with the mix match challenge tournament and the storyline of Thunder Rosa opposing the Powers of Fear. It’s possible the mixed tag matches and trios matches would become a regular thing, while singles men versus women bouts would be more rare. Apparently, mixed tag team titles were considered at one point, but the trios belts allows for much more flexibility in the booking and combinations.
Low level talent on the way out? The last WCW Thunder saw a lot of local talent used to fill in the undercard. It’s thought this could be the style for Thunder going forward. Three squash matches with local talent and one marquee matchup. With that being the case several lower level talent could be released either before the Terrific Tussle to open roster slots or just after once being used in the Royal Rumble style match as cannon fodder. Names rumored on the chopping block are The Gambler, Tony Falk, Jock Samson, Sam Houston, The Patriot and Snake Brown From Out of Town.

General Manager William Regal stands at a Podium in front of the WCCW Banner.
Regal: Good Evening. I have a few updates and announcements as World Class Championship Wrestling prepares for our biggest show to date, our return to the Metroplex, Black Friday.
First. With regards to the UWA World Heavyweight Championship Match. As you know, Vader was a handpicked opponent by Mr. Aldis. However, Mr. Aldis is no longer the UWA Champion. The Executive committee and I have been in contact with Messrs. Tunney and Crockett, and the new UWA Champion will indeed be fulfilling that obligation. So the Main Event of Black Friday will be Vader challenging the current UWA Heavyweight Champion, currently Chris Jericho.
Now, We had a couple of qualifying matches for the Double Title Ladder Match at the most recent Lone Star Live. One of those matches ended in a No Contest when Tito Santana decided to get involved. The Committee has decided that since neither Rey Mysterio Jr. nor Rick Martel were the cause of the chaos in their match, that both men will be entered in the Ladder Match to determine the first Western States and Southwest Heavyweight Champions.
This will expand the field to seven entrants. The Committee has extended two invitations for the match to individuals who will be revealed when they are introduced.
There will be another qualifying match to open the show on November 25th in Arlington. The Russian Nightmare Nikita Koloff will face Buddy Murphy for the seventh and final spot.
As for Tito Santana, He has been removed from the booking sheets for that night and will not be wrestling at Black Friday.
One final match to announce. I have granted a request from The Von Erichs to have Kevin and Kerry Von Erich face The Mercenaries.
World Class Championship Wrestling presents: Black Friday
